bosses will have an affinity and another stat located right below their level
I forget what the name of the other is
but any statlines you have that share the same name as the bosses means you gain those stats
for example if the boss has a heart affinity, and you have an accessory that grants a 1% damage increase on heart affinity bosses, you will gain 1% damage on that boss
same for defense; you will take 1% reduced damage from that boss
I think the other name is affiliation
these two icons are the affinity/affiliations of the boss, you can scroll over them to see what the name of them are
