Damage wise I'm sure its better, it all comes down to enjoyment if you wanna play puncture over DT. Keep in mind though it won't feel as smooth until you get a purple cyclone and a high enough crit rate

To make puncture not feel bad though you'll want a lot of crit. 3k+ crit and purple crit cyclone just to make the macro more consistent. As much crit as you can possibly manage and low ping will make the rotation better

That's really good then. You might be able to play it with a blue cyclone and start trying out the R TAB T macro. You want it to go as fast as possible. If you don't see puncture coming out then it's usually because both R and TAB failed to crit. This is the reason why the 10% crit cyclone is usually a requirement to play pierce/puncture
