This message was in response to a complaint that Eye in the Sky was a mandatory upgrade. I think this solution would solve that while allowing eye in the sky to remain its own unique upgrade.

now, one way to make eye in the sky not be mandetory would be to change the cooldown structure of the grapple.
make it so the cooldown the total grapple time remaining (much like the jetpack or wingsuit).
so you can freely replace the pole in front of you, regardless of if you have eye in the sky.

The main benefit is that eye in the sky would be capable of moving in a void 3d space, while the base poles could move within anchored points.

i don't entirely follow the grammar. do you mean that the Cooldown would be based on how much Grapple Duration is remaining on the current deployments? so you get refunded for Duration you haven't used yet?

no you entirely throw out the per pole grapple time system. instead having a pool of duration that works similarly to the jetpack.

oh, i see. constantly regenerating Duration. would having multiple casts provide a Grapple cost reduction? (if you're using both, if you're not using both?)

im not quite sure those specifics, the idea was more to fix the massive gap between eye in the sky and the base pole mechanics
