At the moment, glider is rather absurd, even post-patch when combining heat exchange and the manual fire rocket upgrades. What if, instead of the normal flight she has, the way her movement works is that you have to hold space to charge a launch upwards into the air so that you are able to actually glide and use camera movement to angle it for momentum, rewarding higher charge time for more verticality and therefore more speed? This would make her escape before much harder to achieve without being in the thick of it for an extended period of time.
