Hello. Happy Friday!

This week as well, we’re bringing you a variety of updates about inZOI.

The video released today includes several updates planned for the March update. We had originally prepared an engine update, but unfortunately we won’t be able to release it in March. Instead, the engine will be updated to Unreal Engine 5.6 in the April update.

It’s a bit disappointing. There are still some stabilization tasks remaining, which is why we couldn’t move forward with the update sooner.

Also, the UI improvements we showed recently will unfortunately not be included in the March update. We’re preparing to present them in an improved form with the May update instead. We’ll work hard to get them ready. ^^; (For those who haven’t seen it yet, we’ve attached the video.)

However, the March update still includes many new additions, such as street parking lots, a minimap, eating while walking, dual-hand usage, baby-related interactions and outfit customization, memories, milestones, birthdays, a news feed, and much more.

Thanks for the update today, Kjun! 🙌 Really appreciate the continued communication with the community.

One thing many of us are wondering about: could we get an updated timeline for mod support, especially considering the engine migration?

Even a short update on the team's current vision for the mod system going forward would be incredibly helpful for modders trying to plan their projects.

Modding adds so much to the game and the community, so having a clearer idea of what to expect would mean a lot.

Any thoughts on this? I’m sure a lot of creators here would appreciate the clarity. 🙂

Yessssss street parking !!! Omgggg. Okay im begging for an autonomous driving function where Zoi's will prefer to take their owned vehicles instead of public transportation. Also a "drive here with" so we can travel together as a group more efficiently. Omg but this update is looking amazing so far !! Also I'm happy that we won't have to restart the game for modded clothes to show up. That's such a game changer, literally !!

Hi Kjun and thank you for the update as always. I have been pestering you to focus on fixing bugs and core issues, and I stand by that, but honestly I'm just a gIrl as they say and I am very excited to try all of these new additions. Robbing and parking cars, tiny tricycles for children, and the notification system are killers! I still hope we can get significant relocation of resources to fixing existing problems, though. I hope we get to see some hotfixes and updates about that asap.

Hello Kjun,

Thank you for acknowledging the Classic UI and "Age Sliders" in a recent video...

Just to make sure there is no miscommunication...
With age sliders, I am pretty sure we are talking of something resembling this mechanic from "The Sims" which allows players to set the length of each age groups (See picture below).

Now I am sure InZOI's control option will look much better and in-line with how the game currently look. But this is what we want when we ask that, to be able to change how long it takes to move from Newborn to Toddler (and/or any of the other group lengths).

Also do not forget to adjust those at "Prorata" so if our zoi is already half-way into young adult and we change the length of that group, our zoi must still be at the same relative age in the new group length (Still at the middle of young adult).

Hello kjun, i have some idea to make inzoi world feel rich and crowd

Make unique npc every update (3 or 4)
-npc has unique style, hairstyle (walking style and voice is a plus)
-each unique npc has repeating and fixed scheedule, like doing some art performance in park, or even just hang out in fixed location with their unique placement (lean to wall, or sit with unique animation)
-this unique npc is investment for future ai behavior update

I hope inzoi wil also have significant improvement this year

Okay I love everything here!!!! I had suggested tricycle and the option to steal cars a while back so I’m glad to see those🤣. I’m glad the options of businesses are being expanded and we have functional items for movie theaters!! I really hope that jobs there are available as well. Low tables yes!!!!! I can’t wait for the March update it sounds jam packed with stuff!!

Tbh, after your latest Comment Response, many of us (both in the Discord chat and in the comments under partner videos) were upset about the potential reduction of new content development in favor of bug fixing.

Many pointed out that they don’t actually see the amount of bugs some people said there were, and many of the issues some people mentioned aren’t really isolated bugs that can be fixed right now, but system‑level issues = the current design flaws that you’re already improving. Because of that, these bugs may soon become irrelevant anyway, but valuable time could be spent on them.

So, dear Kjun, please stick to the agreed‑upon “fundamentals first” and roadmap, while also trying to invest more in the core systems, maybe without jumping into newly invented ideas outside the roadmap at least until Q3, only the life‑sim basic basics, which include things like autonomy, routine management, personality, lifespan (life stages), story progression, travelling, and riding/parking.

And if the basic systems really can’t be developed in parallel, then please clarify how you plan to approach this because there are people who want both new content and autonomy/travelling/parking/etc.

But once again, please release the Q1 and Q2 content as it’s extremely anticipated, and after that it will become clear which parts you’ve nailed and which areas may still need more work.

Title: Request for Active Military Career.

​Suggestion: Please consider changing the Military Career from a "Rabbit Hole" to an Active (Playable) Career, similar to the Firefighter or Idol Trainee roles.

​Why it would be good:

​Gameplay: Players could follow their Zoi to the base to complete daily physical training, obstacle courses, or equipment maintenance.

​Social: It adds a location for unique Zoi interactions (drills, dining halls, or barracks life).

​Immersion: For cities like Dowon and Bliss Bay, having a functional military base that we can actually visit would make the world feel much more complete and realistic.

Woah woah woah... By street parking do you mean parking around where the beaches are ect? Or like the old parking system where cars parked outside the house on the street. I'm hoping you mean parking lots that you can sort of park wherever on the street and around the world 😭

The stealing cars feature is so cool !! I remember myself and others requesting that!! Love the salons and the tricycle, and popcorn and tv (the cinema animation looks sm better??) love the job interviews feature!

There are some serious problems caused by NPC ghosts that require fixes/improvements as soon as possible (preferably via new gameplay mechanics).

Problems:

  1. Ghosts pile up in the city population and the Karma report shows many have Best Karma. Karma is a resource ghosts need for their afterlife. A player can only play as a ghost for 3 days, so these NPC ghosts should clear out after 3 days.
  2. The game warns us that a too-high ghost population will prevent new births in your city, but since ghosts do not leave, they act as an expiration date for save games.
  3. There's no gameplay solution for reducing the ghost population. The bell object enables you to talk to a ghost, but you can't tell them to cross over to the other side or leave you alone, etc.
  4. Ghosts haunt public places and cause immersion-breaking problems for players, leading to abandoned save games (probably long before the ghost population is high enough to prevent new births).

What we need:

  1. Gameplay mechanics for getting rid of NPC ghosts. Maybe enabling our zois to carry the spiritual bell item in their inventory to use it to reveal ghosts in a haunted location, so they can talk to the ghost and ask them to leave them alone, or choose to help them cross to the afterlife. Another option that would help players who are busy with their own stories would be to have a Ghost Whisperer our zois can hire that will clear out the city’s ghosts (and destroy all unclaimed urns at the cemetery, since there are way too many of those for the player to enjoy doing themselves).
  2. Restrictions on where NPC ghosts can haunt. If they don’t have a family living in the city, please keep them confined to the graveyard. Make zois with the Adventurous trait or Challenger value get urges to see a ghost, and the urge could have a tooltip suggesting to visit the cemetery to try to witness paranormal activity.
  3. Cheats to control hauntings. Players could add or remove ghosts to a property.

Kjun: could the devs create an animation where the zoi places the plate right where they're going to eat? it feels so inmersion breaking when they leave the plate at one end of the table and teleport to the other end. it's those silly details that are just so annoying because you see them all the time

New content is exciting, but there are serious core issues still not addressed like how travelling cities works and how the business system is flawed and unfinished, or how autonomy is all over the place. As much as the roadmap is exciting, and getting new content as player is exciting, this is an early access and we should be realistic. If those core issues are not addressed now (as well as the bugs that **are happening **in game, you really don't have to play for long to encounter many of them) they will have to be addressed in the future where they will be intertwined with all of the other new added systems. Fixing them now would allow to build the new systems upon them and prevent more issues in the future. I want this game to succeed, and to succeed it needs to take itself seriously, even at the cost of the flashy new things.

I understand that manually planting one seed at a time can be time-consuming, but I didn't find "automating" it a good option. There could be better ways to make planting faster, such as adding a hand path to spread seeds, adding a hose, hiring a gardener, etc. Of course, this could also be incorporated as skill levels increase. In short, planting is a time-consuming hobby and shouldn't be made easier in the gameplay.

Dear inZOI team and Kjun,

I'm against the idea of cutting back in one area and pouring all your resources into fixing things that aren't even really bugs. Most of these issues will resolve themselves once you finish developing the core systems—making them more flexible, more complete, and better overall, and improving character autonomy within the game itself, rather than trying to achieve it solely through AI.

We have an excellent roadmap this year and a clear list of fundamentals: the priority is the base game's systemic features and key functionalities. We're making great progress so far, and you're handling many things well. Let's stick to this plan, gradually increasing resources for bug fixes and stability. Especially since you've mentioned that there will be less content in the later quarters—that's the perfect time to ramp up polishing efforts after Q3, in addition to the resources already allocated for bug fixing and similar tasks.

Regarding the new ideas players constantly suggest: it's great that you're listening to us. But we've already shaped our list of priorities based on our votes and are providing feedback on what we receive or what we're asked about. However, let's not spend resources on things that aren't in the plan. We appreciate that you're always hearing us out, but if we change direction every time a new idea comes up, we risk losing focus.

About the gardening system, I didn’t really like the current solution. I think there could be smarter ways to handle it, such as machines that automatically plant and water crops, or even a landscaping service. But I think the bigger issue is the idea that the game needs to solve every task that some players might find boring. Nobody is forced to do everything in the game. If people don’t like gardening, they simply don’t have to plant anything.

About cars, I think the idea of being able to steal cars is really cool. However, I also think it should be possible for our own cars to be stolen as well.

We don’t want the process of Zoi moving or performing actions to be shortened. It’s great to reduce the number of clicks the user has to make, but Zoi itself should still carry out every step in detail.

Since players already have the option to adjust the game speed, any boring or slow moments can simply be skipped. Please don’t forget that the real charm of this game is observation.

Many users also mention that Zoi’s motions feel too short, and we think it’s connected to the same issue. We would love to watch the adorable actions your team created for Zoi for a longer time, with more detail.

Once again. You're all doing a great job with the updates. It keeps getting better and better.

I especially love the little kids bike and the fact that we can choose to be selfish employers. 😅

“You can work overtime at home... alone.... in the dark.”

Guess you can't escape reality, even in a game 🥲. Coupled this with rent and loans and taxes. You can't get anymore realistic 😭.

I don't have much to suggest. Let's see 🤔:

I still need you to adjust the walking and running speed. The former is too fast and the latter has no momentum.

We also need more locomotive animations like jogging, skipping, sluggish walking, walking with swag, slow walking, grumpy walking etc.

All of the above can be applied to different emotions and personalities, especially the former. It also follows the “Show Don't Tell” rule as it will allow Zois to better express emotions through body language.

For example:

Content/Happy/Confessed Love — Kid to Young Adult Zois could frequently default to jogging and skipping in outdoor travel. It can also work indoors for kids.

Zoi on the phone — slow walking. (I don't think anyone moves at top speed when your eyes are glued to your phone)

Angry/Frustrated — Grumpy walking (chin tilted up, shoulders held high, hands folded into fists, and leg taking long stretches.)

Lastly, the stiff dead eyes and that exaggerated smile. They are creepy, uncanny, and immersion breaking. Especially the dead eyes.

I'm not going to suggest new mechanics as I believe we already have a lot we need to work on. Thank you for making this beautiful dream.

Does anyone else’s game crash? I am playing on GE Force Now. I have been building the Charmed House on Inzoi. I have lots of canvas items. Anytime I try to open the furniture presets the game crashes. I have about 1000+ items. Does anyone know if they are doing anything to stabilise a house with too many things in it??

I can’t even play it on live mode because it will crash. I have tried lowering the graphics to LOW and it still crashes. I just want to build. Why is the game crashing like this 😫

Hi Kjun! I previously suggested Autonomous Gardening last year and would love to follow up on this. To balance player agency and AI life-simulation, I propose a Hybrid Farming System:

AI-Driven Maintenance: Zois should autonomously handle routine tasks such as watering, weeding, fertilizing, and harvesting. This reduces tedious micromanagement and makes the Zois feel more responsible for their environment.

Player-Driven Sowing: I suggest keeping the sowing/planting as a player-only action. This ensures players retain creative control over what they grow.

Pool Interaction: Additionally, I hope to see Zois autonomously entering swimming pools for recreation. It’s a natural behavior for a summer-vibe or luxury setting and would greatly enhance the vibrancy of the world.

I really hope to see these "Autonomous Quality of Life" updates in the near future!

New walk styles, sleep styles, voice styles please!! I remember you mentioning this stuff around 3 months ago and stating the walkstyles would take around two months to make. I hope it's being worked on still!

New animations for volleyball courts but id also love tennis courts in the game too. Also for the March update could you please include the 3rd person waterslide animation that was mentioned months ago?

i’d love to see the different walks. I also think it would fun if clumsy zois stumbled occasionally when walking, they look way too graceful at the moment.

i disagree a little with your comments on the walking pace - female zois are way too slow. And then they stop occasionally to look around. I wouldnt mind if it was tied to a personality trait (like a scatterbrained zoi) but having every female zoi walk that slowly starts to feel tedious after a while.

Issues don't resolve themselves, particularly not bugs. Taking a quick look at the forums will tell anybody that these bugs exist and they are not isolated, and they are definitely not in the mind of a few. Below there's an image of an analysis of all the bugs that have been reported just in march, and that's taking into account that not everybody posts bug reports when they encounter bugs.

Bug reports, core features and stability should be the priority. This is true of this game and of any other game. Of course, fixing bugs is less profitable in the short run and less flashy than adding new content, and it doesn't attract as many new players, but it respects customers.

Fixing bugs and core issues will only become harder when the flawed system that you are trying to fix is entangled with 20 new added systems with their own added bugs, or you can choose to fix the core system, and then build the new system upon with less flaws.

I believe part of the reason certain systems like the business system are flawed and feel unfinished is because they have been rushed to attract attention to the game and increase the player base, and if we keep doing this we're going to end up like a certain other life sim.

I agree with @serene ice and @gray coral regarding farming. I think a better solution would be if players want the option of planting multiple plots they could use a seed spreader device. It could use a similar animation to the vacuum. There is even a lawnmower in the game that's purely decorative. While doing my research, I found that you can add an attachment to add to one to spread seeds. That would be great for Zois with massive farms.

Regarding watering, there is a sprinkler in the game that still isn't functional. Why not use that to water multiple crops?

Finally, for weeding they could use a tool to make weeding go faster.

Hi Kjun! The instant, magic-like farming feels a bit strange right now. I really hope you can add an interaction command that makes the Zoi manage the crops one by one. Clicking that option and watching them physically go from plant to plant to do the work would add so much life and realism to the game!🙏 🙏

Aaah best update, I love the gta vibes lol. Just throwing some ideas out there: it'd be nice to have optional after-school activities for kids/teens. After school is over some go to the school yard, some to library to study, some to after-school activities: variety of sports/dance/art/music classes. I would love to be able to watch them too not just rabbit hole. I do hope we can use that volleyball net at some point in time, as well as climb the playground set, and kids group games like tag, skip rope etc. Just in general my dream is that every building in game is enterable and every object is interactive, but I do realize that's probably too much, is it? As always, thanks for all you do and have a nice weekend!

Hi Kjun! I feel that some interactions like washing dishes, opening packages, and farming are currently handled in a way that feels a bit lazy. Items just magically disappear all at once.

We need an interaction command that makes Zois do these chores one by one. They should collect plates individually before washing them, or open packages one after another. Doing it all instantly ruins the realistic vibe of the game. We want to see the actual process of living!

Kiosk ticket buying and ticket checking for more realism.

Genre-specific reactions: Screaming at horror films or leaning on a lover's shoulder during romance movies.

Weekly movie rotations.

NPC Invitations: Let friends and family invite us to the movies!
These details would make the cinema the best social spot in inZOI!

Please add the ability to identify the names of broken CC somehow in character creation (Maybe a cheat?). Some CC have black thumbnails and crash when you select them and it's tedious to go through a whole list of CC in the mod manager

I wonder whether adding new functionality to existing objects requires significant development time.

Examples include herbicide, sprinklers, and outdoor refrigerators, which currently do not function outdoors.

Cat spray could automatically trigger interactions with stray cats when used by a Zoi.

Skincare items such as toner or lotion could be placed in bathrooms so Zois automatically use them after showering instead of only using a hair dryer.

Handbags from Pocket Market could replace backpacks for university Zois and be carried by working Zois when going to work.

Indoor slippers could be automatically worn when the “remove shoes indoors” option is enabled and slippers are available in the house.

Existing food court objects could be placed in business lots or streets and operated by players. This could expand into a new profession, with different food courts installed in one lot and employees assigned to specific stalls.

Desk clocks could include an alarm function that wakes Zois at a user-set time.

Cash registers in business lots could allow ordering interactions when the POS machine is clicked. Customers could approach, receive food in stock, take items from display shelves, and players could manage finances, inventory, and ingredient purchases connected to Pocket Market through the POS system.

Additional business ideas include dress code settings and expanded customer behaviors.

Interactions available in events—such as doing homework, funerals, and weddings—could also function in business lots, allowing them to operate as academies, funeral halls, or wedding venues and enabling scenes where condolence or wedding gift money is received.

Many objects appear underutilized because they lack functionality, and current systems sometimes feel limited, reducing the sense of freedom.

While development resources are limited and not everything can be implemented, consideration of some of these ideas would be appreciated.

Regarding the gardening update, I believe that automatic seed planting and watering may diminish the game's engagement. Would it be possible to introduce options that allow players to water, weed, or harvest all plants with a single click, but individually rather than automatically affecting nearby plants? Hopefully when the movie theater is fully implemented that the audience will react to what's on screen. For example, cheering during an action scene, crying at sentimental scenes, laughing during comedies, booing at bad films or screaming during a horror movie. Also, having other audience members shush the rowdy ones.

-- Please, please, please, add animations/mechanics to break into the vehicles that might be locked as well (that thin metal bar that they slip into the window... or however it's done). That would be amazing!
-- Also, if any Zoi sees you doing this (not just the vehicle owner), they can call the police on you.
-- Will police cars chase us? This would be amazing.

I was specifically pointing out the core systems, the list of fundamentals, and what was mentioned in the previous discussion. Undoubtedly, there are bugs, but there are also cases where it's not a bug, but rather an issue with the system itself, and people perceive that as a bug. It's absolutely indisputable that such things are important. However, to take even more resources and redirect them to fix bugs, when those resources are actually needed for the system itself and its improvement — the same goes for autonomy, it is important and greatly affects perception. Working overtime is a pretty cool feature especially to help zoi/zoi families make more money. Every week the update videos get better and better. From my point of view both your post and GD's were downplaying the actual impact that bugs have on the game right now, and from what I understood you both feel that resources shouldn't be moved from making new content and relocated to fixing the core issues and the bugs that are kind of running wild lately. Which is fine, but I disagree strongly and wanted to make my point. We don't need bug fixed to be taken care of gradually, the should be tackled as soon as possible if they want to be taken care of properly. If that means little to no new content for a couple of month, that's preferrable from my point of view. Q3 is too far away.

I did want to gently remind you that we desperately need the ability to disable automatic pregnancies in unplayed households. That’s actually the main reason I’ve taken a break from playing for now. I’d love to jump back in and play rotationally again once that option is available. Please consider adding a way to disable auto pregnancies in the March update so I can enjoy the game my way. 🙏

Also, I’m hoping we’ll see the ability to use different hair and makeup across multiple categories in this update, like you showed in previous videos. 🫶

Selling = loss, Storage

So far, there is 0 incentive to be storing your furniture. If you sell, you get everything back. If you store, you pretty much sell it but don’t get anything back.

First, selling furniture should be 75%. This is simply so there is incentive to store to “save” your money, or to “keep for later,” or to keep memories. Ofc as an option.

Second, some type of new system for physical storage, with limited space. Having a storage area in your house, like in your garage or a dedicated room, will add more possible spaces to fill out. This means something like a storage rack item that expands storage by let’s say 10. Right now, big houses are mainly filled with roleplaying rooms, and this way, there will be more useful rooms. It will also make small houses even more cramped for that type of playstyle which i do like.

More ways that will make you want to be thoughtful in what you store, or to want a lot of storage for, is expanded crafting. Living a life of workshopping will need you to have a lot of free storage for you to hoard and sell, and also will add a need for expanded crafting system which i desire. A way to craft all types of furniture, as a unique crafted version (to an extent) will open up many playstyles. Custom wooden bed, table, etc to use or sell.

Another option it can add is new public storage units. When you have a bunch of junk, like what you craft or hoard, you can choose to rent out storage units to hold your stuff. Not only will it free up house space if needed, but keeping this much stuff if you have them will add:

Yard/Garage sales

Inzoi needs more neighborhood community connection. Using your old stored furniture, you can set up yard sales (other zois can too that u can attend) that acts as a mini business. You can sell the crafts you created to people with different worths, and old furniture for possibly more than the base sell value. Will also add more ways to connect with neighbors and get to know them.

As for feedback... would it be possible to add a break into car animation? Nothing fancy, but a zoi just getting into a car that isnt his is a little.... boring. It couod just be a zoi fiddling around with a car lock or something.

Also, the interviews are definitely a wonderful first step towards adding more depths to careers! Im just hoping that you'll keep refining the current job system and make work feel more rewarding and make you feel a sense of progression. Maybe even actual rewards on the higher skill levels? You definitely had the right idea with businesses.

Unfortunately, I really don’t like the decision regarding crop cultivation.

The AOE (area of effect) approach – where the technical radius is large but the animation only shows Zoi cultivating a single plot – feels immersion‑breaking, although from the start I was hoping for a more hands‑on, immersive gardening and farming experience, especially in rural Canvastown.

That’s why I’d recommend using the familiar “Water All” / “Fertilize All” approach at this stage, where finishing one plot automatically moves the interaction to the next.

And AOE should be reserved only for items that logically affect an area – for example, sprinklers, and later on machinery for cultivation and fertilizing. Many people remember Grandpa’s Grove Tractor from Sims 3 Store, and some have played Farming Simulator and used things like water tanks, hoses, wheelbarrows, harrows, pushable seeders, gators, fertilizer/manure spreaders, pushable root harvesters with crates, and so on.

So, please, take your time, catch your breath, play around with these ideas, and build it properly with the future in mind. You’ve already shown what you can achieve with GTA, and I’m sure you can bring the same long‑term vision and quality to the farming side as well. I believe in you.

FUTURE SCHOOL SYSTEM

I want to stress that the school update should be developed thoroughly. School life—even if it represents only one stage of life—is a complex system with many layers of gameplay. I suggest taking the time to implement it properly and releasing it in its full form, rather than introducing a half-finished system that would need to be gradually expanded later and add to the already large development workload.

RAGS-TO-RICHES GAMEPLAY IDEAS

I have mentioned this before, but I would like to emphasize it again. Most aesthetic items in Inzoi currently appear clean and premium. For stronger rags-to-riches immersion, it would help to include broken furniture, second-hand items, and worn-out or faded clothing.

To support this style of gameplay, I also strongly suggest adding thrift stores where players can purchase these items in-world at low prices.

I can’t phrase it differently, because another deviation from the roadmap would be just as damaging to the reputation. If there were issues with the roadmap, it would’ve been better to discuss them when it was being approved, but as far as I understand, most people were happy with it. I’ve looked into people’s opinions to understand what they mean and Kjun himself already acknowledged this in his Comment Responses.

Even though things haven't gone exactly to plan, nothing with software or amazingly complex things like this ever does. The good thing is that the team keeps going and we are updated every week, which is amazing. I can't tell you how much fun it is watching the videos. As a movie lover, I am excited to work with the new Cinema Screen and I can't wait for the popcorn machine!

I've noticed a few graphical glitches in building, even in lower res. I was playing the game on Ultra, but my computer's fans were having some trouble with it, so I lowered the settings to medium and noticed a small problem:

  1. When I was building a house, I forgot to put a bathroom on, so I made a room to add it on.
  2. When I painted the walls of the bathroom, the outside texture of the house was showing through a couple of the walls. I tried to solve this problem by extending the walls, and when that didn't work, I tried to build new walls, but that didn't work either

I'm pointing this out here because of the graphics poll question we had last week, though I was still using Ultra then. Other than that, everything is great.

A really great idea I was thinking of would be to let us use a color picker to choose the color of our cars, just like we do with walls, etc. I don't know how easy or difficult that would be, but I just thought about it because I bought my ZOI a car for the first time today.

For farming :
Let us click once and let the Zoi moves and do all of them.
Like "plant all crops" - The zoi will plant random seeds from his/her pack until all plots on the premise are planted.
"harvest all crops" - Same thing, goes one by one to each patch to gather the harvest.
Same for plowing all lots, removing weeds, etc.

Also an option to "Plant all crops with family", "Water all with family", "Pull weeds with family" and "Harvest all with family" where every member on the household present contribute to the task. Also kids should be able to water crops and pull weeds... As a kid I remember helping my grandma with that.

I like watching my zoi do the actions and it's FINE if it takes a long time
I just do not like clicking one hundred times -- It gets tedious very quick, but I want my Zois to do it one by one.

Sprinklers would/should irrigate a 7x7 farming squares area.
So put one in the middle of a 7x7 lot and if you activate sprinklers it waters all crops in that range.

I think one of Inzoi's issues is that everything involving multiple objects is handled the same way as gardening in this video: when you request multiple packages and hit "open all", the zoi should open them one by one, not magically open all at once. Same with washing dishes "wash all" should make the zoi pick up plates one by one and wash them. Inzoi needs that click that covers everything without tiring the player with clicking, but makes the zoi execute it sequentially on its own

I liked the news, especially the parking lots, but I have a criticism about agriculture, I found this new mode too lazy, instead of planting several at the same time, the player could have the option to plant all of them and automatically the zoi, plant one by one, instead of simply planting by magic.

For hair salons it would be nice to be able to "save" our own custom hairstyles to our salons (the style, colors, and length) and have the customer be able to choose from any of those hairstyles available in your salon. Another idea is to add our hairstyles to a numbered card on the wall for the customer to choose from or even pictures representing the different hairstyles available so when you click on them it'll give you that exact hairstyle. Of course they would still be using the animations of them actually doing their hair in the hair salon but this is just for the selction process. Here's some examples of how that would look like: (this is just a suggestion for the future but it can start off where you just save your hairstyles in the "my business" feature like you're picking recipes for your resturaunt)

For my feedback on your video I first off want to say I am beyond excited to hear functional movie theaters are having more detail added like that new movie screen and popcorn machine. When will we be able to go to these theaters? will it be in the next update? I been wanting a functional theater for a long time! I hope we will be able to see a movie with other Zois, buy snacks like popcorn and soda or candy. Also will we be able to see movies play on the screen? cause I would love to see movies instead of the regular tv channels (in the theater). As for the future updates will we see a Spring update with Easter items? egg hunts? spring decor for buy mode, spring clothes? maybe option to color eggs? if not I do request this!! You asked us for our feedback on the crops and YES I would love to have just one simple click to water all crops at once. This is why I do not garden much because it takes time. I would find this very useful. As for cars please give us option to park our own cars where we want and for it not to just disappear. Also please add a very useful option to click on the car and be able to have a "travel with.." option that way my family does not have to manually go in the car which again..takes time. Lastly I want to request that the rice cooker be functional and for Zois to watch tv together.

Yes this can even fall into high school gameplay and they can add friendship group dynamics where each friend group naturally "locks" into a specifc group dynamic (ex: "dark academia", "prep", jocks" "nerd", etc) but then you can befriend into these group dynamics and there can be different kinds of perks and stuff specific to that group and that could be cool and its something i thought would be played with more in sims 4 HSY but they turned it into smthing very basic but yea overall i agree i hope inzoi gets more of that individuality within character autonomy and more differentiating details in personalities styles etc

I’m not sure if this has been addressed yet, but something about inZOI has been bothering me a bit: the approach to the bus and the loading screens. I understand that loading screens exist so the game can run on most PCs, but I wish there was at least a cutscene for the bus instead of a static screen.

I’d love to see a brief cutscene showing the ZOI boarding, finding a seat, and the bus moving through the city, similar to what we already have when ZOIs ride the roller coaster at the amusement park. It’s much more fun and immersive than just waiting on a loading screen, and it also bypasses the difficulty of having to optimize real-time traffic for the bus.

It’s a bit frustrating because the game was initially marketed as 'open world.' While I understand the technological hurdles of keeping the game optimized, the real magic of inZOI was that open-world promise; a huge relief for those of us who love The Sims 3. Looking at how the bus works now, it's disappointing that a game from 2009 handled this aspect better than a modern title, despite all the technical issues it had back then

I forgot to mention that I would like to have lot types on buildable lots so I can built any type public lot I want besides houses. Also I do not want to have a business for this. I want to just be able to build my own public venues without running it as a business. I feel like we lack being able to freely build. I want to build my own malls, parks, clubs, bars, gyms, theaters, etc but we only have option for businesses and building houses on our own lot. Also please add option to choose various voices, personalities, walk styles in create a zoi. I want to get the idea that each Zoi we create is unique and has their own style. Traits are good, but it's not enough on it's own to give Zois their own uniqueness. Maybe you can add a personality system for example a zoi may act perky, or calm. cool, nerdy, grumpy, depressed, easily annoyed, sarcastic, hot headed, always happy and it will be a overall way they act daily and how they interact with others. If this is too impossible even small details like changing the voice or walk style makes a big difference.

I love the game. I just wish we had a system to where when they get out the shower or the bath they put the clothes in the dirty laundry basket so that way either the adults or the teenagers can wash their own clothes instead of them wearing their clothes they can have another set of clothes to wear either their pajamas or extra clothes so that way when they wait for their laundry to get done, they could put those clothes back on.

Don't worry that you weren't able to get everything you were hoping to get in for this month's update. Most of us completely understand and don't hold it against you in the slightest. What matters is that you are keeping us up to date and being open and honest. I can't thank you enough for how wonderful you've been when it comes to your honesty and openness.

I'm personally excited to see any updates, especially ones that have to do with storytelling like interactions and reactions as well as family game play.

I'm sure it's being worked on, but I do think it would be fun to see the careers we have improved on some. Such as being able to move on from trainees to idols in the kpop career.
Maybe some different tasks for the other careers as you climb the career ladder. Doesn't have to be anything crazy, just something that feels like they are actually working a step up from whatever tier they were on previously. I don't imagine it would be easy, but for example, for the fire fighting career, actually going and fighting a fire would be cool. Even if we can't go with them and it's just them sprinting out the building and disappearing while they "handle the situation."

Another thing I know is in the works so I'm not really too worried, but I do hope that we get to see pre-teens at some point. I think there is quite a bit that can happen in those years that would be fun to have in their memories. First crush, first time getting in trouble/fight, friends calling to hangout or have sleep overs.

Please add a drive thru to order fast food, bubble baths, build sandcastles in the beach and for build mode please add terrain paint for outside and option to place single tiles outside. I have a really tough time doing my lawns because I have to use floor tiles that do not fit the areas I want and I cannot use terrain paints. Also for build/buy mode please allow us to freely move and place objects up and down not just rotate or side to side. I like this for advanced build ideas.

I love the new additions coming in the March Update I’m excited to try them all out.

However, I have some concerns about some issues that constantly occur during my gameplay: Bathroom use; ZOI repeatedly bathing as well as cleaning the bath hoovering eight ZOI vacuum at the same time and are often vacuuming the exact same spot. Eating a meal until full then going back to the fridge to cook more food. ZOI had a table full of cooked food as if catering for a party this was a 3 ZOI household.

Love the kids bicycles and the stealing cars (big GTA fan here). Parking in drives sharing cars between family members would be so good pick it out of the bab plop in on a driveway the road or into another family member’s bag. Bag content, please make it possible for us to access bag contents ourselves as well as the same for more control over fridge contents.

Paintings on business lots you cannot access your own personal paintings you can sell it on Pocket Market but the price is greatly reduced. One ZOI whose painting was worth 10,500 Mew sold for a lot less than it’s 10,500. Again dragging your personal items to your own bag would be so beneficial.

I love this game so much. You guys are everyone’s dream come true in real life simulator gaming.

Door locking system please can you make it possible for all household members to be able to have access to all doors. Bathroom interruptions are quite annoying and too frequent. I would like to have ZOI shoo others out so they can have some personal privacy. Parents siblings etc should not be allowed to be in the same bathroom.

⚠️ I understand that the team wants to please everyone and add many features that, while players may want to see in the game, I don't consider necessary at this point. I believe the team should focus on improving truly meaningful and realistic systems that are still missing from the game, such as hospitals and schools. Another thing that bothers me is the lack of detailed and realistic animations for Zoi to perform certain actions, which are replaced by very simple animations that solve problems that, compared to reality, make no sense at all. For example, the player has the option to water the entire plantation, and it magically appears watered without Zoi performing an animation that makes sense of him having watered everything.

⚠️ Regarding the graphics, I think a large portion of the players stopped playing because they drastically reduced the beautiful and realistic graphics of the game. They optimized it so much to reach more people and sell more copies that those who had already liked what was shown before early access and bought the game as soon as it became available on Steam stopped playing when they saw that, in addition to the incomplete gameplay, the game did not live up to what had been promised in the trailers in terms of graphics. So my suggestion to the team would be to make the game's graphics look as much as possible like what they had promised in the first trailers, because 80,000 players thought the game was beautiful, but few people continued playing.

  • Like maybe allowing the player to pick their members based on who else is in the kpop career tract but this would require extending the limit on how many can be in a career)

WASD Control Keys

If WASD control keys can be supported in the future for direct manual labor - this can be another way for players to engage in gardening/farming to reduce tedious clicking.

**An ‘All’ option ** (Plant All, Water All, Harvest All, Weed All , Gather All, Sell All, Bug Spray All & etc.)

As others have stated, manually doing everything one by one can become tedious over time, however; incorporating an **‘All’ **option can resolve this issue.

For example, when a player wants to water all their plants, instead of clicking each plot manually to water each plant thus queuing up multiple actions with multiple clicks, we can click on the option ‘Water All’. From there, the zoi will autonomously water ALL plants present while still doing a watering animation for each plant with a single click to not break visual immersion. ** Sims 4 did a great job of this **

Chiming in to say with the farming. It's not how long it takes, it's the physical action by the player of clicking on each plot over and over that is tedious. I like selecting one option like "water all", and the zoi will autonomously water each plot one by one unless interrupted or running out of energy. Watching a zoi do this would be very zen along with satisfying sounds related to farming. Everything so far looks good

Yes! I think Kjun and the devs misunderstood what we wanted. We like seeing our zoi go to each garden plot to weed, fertilize, water, etc but we (the players) do not want to have to click on each garden plot to select the interactions. We want a way to say 'water all farming plots' and the zoi will go from plot to plot to water each. Please update in this manner.

Same goes for picking up dishes to wash or diapers to throw out.

Hello. I remember seeing a notice before saying that feedback is only collected through this channel, the official website’s customer support, and the forum’s bug report section. I also recall that other Discord boards are difficult for the team to check.

Even though this is a Korean game, that board seems to be a place where players from many different countries communicate together, so it looks like people mainly use English as the common language there.

However, I don’t think that feedback notice was posted in Korean. I only saw the English version. ㅜ So I think many Korean users probably didn’t see it. When I look at the feedback board, I often feel a bit disappointed about this. I keep thinking that it might be helpful if a Discord moderator could quickly guide Korean users about this in Korean.

So that part feels a bit unfortunate to me. 🥲

This is not meant to ask for special treatment for Korea. However, since there is a Korean feedback board, it seems necessary to provide a clear explanation about this.

I was told on the forum that this was caused by the "Morning/Evening Routines" added circa version 0.4.5.
Now I don't know for other players but I had ZERO issues with my Zoi's needs even going as far back as 0.1.0.
And you're right, The problems I've seen with these routines are :

  • Zois Eat when full
  • Zois go wash when clean
  • Zois wont sleep late anymore (even when still tired)
  • Zois keep waking up if sent to bed before 11pm
  • Zois have artificial needs depletions (you eat a copious breakfast at 7:45am, and your bar is full, but suddenly depletes very quickly around noon, then again around 5pm. Same for Sleeping (they get tired by 11pm).

It is really annoying, and the more Zois you have, the worse this gets.
I really wish we would have an option to turn those routines "OFF", if not then I want this change removed to what it was before 0.4.0. Where all needs depleted at a constant speed and Zois didn't do unessesary actions (unless prompted by the player, of course).

A huge +1 from me on that.
I want that fixed.

Regarding farming, I also want to emphasize that Sims‑style solutions are only the quickest and most obvious ones for now. But a farm designed like in the Sims or cozy games… I don’t think that’s enough for a game as large‑scale as inZOI, with so much content planned for updates and DLC. It deserves more: a large, realistic countryside with fields and pastures, machinery, poultry and livestock, growth and production cycles, farming as entrepreneurship or as a lifestyle, and maybe even a fun multiplayer activity.

I think something like that would generate real excitement, primarily because of the strong atmosphere, replayability, and the reimagining of mechanics in a combined Sims+GTA‑style context but on a farm (WASD movement, driving on rural roads, handling issues, etc.).

I don't know if there is a issue with having a house in Cahaya, but each time I buy a house there my cleaning objects do not work. I cannot interact with the washing machine. My Zois cannot clean their house because it will not allow my Zois to use the vacuum, mop and broom. It says it's not in a operating business although it's my Zois home. I reported these issues a hundred times in the past and again today. Kjun please make sure the team looks into this because it is frustrating that this happens with every lot I live in every time I live in Cahaya for awhile. I tried moving the objects, re starting game, new save files, different lots. But cleaning objects just do not work here.

New properties
I love the addition of new properties! It’s very exciting to see the cities becoming more interactive. I noticed that the properties shown are all businesses.

I know you mentioned being able to change property types to residential in the future but I was wondering if you had any plans to convert some of the home shells into build mode assets in the future. Having neighbours living next door to your zoi, that you can see and visit would make the worlds feel more alive and less lonely.

If this isn’t possible, please consider an alternative to contribute to the feeling of having neighbours. For example, maybe some of the idle families could each be assigned to a home or apartment shell. You could see them “leaving” their home in the morning and returning of an evening, and maybe they could knock on your zoi’s door to complain if the music is too loud, etc.

For stealing cars, the balance shouldn’t simply be “they might notice.” It should be that you ATTEMPT to open, and if it doesn’t work, you still might get noticed. It should be rare for a car to actually be unlocked

Then, only with a high crime level can you succeed most times to hotwire, and low levels risk higher chance of failing, and even activating the car alarm. Maybe can very rarely find the keys already in there.

Also please remove the lethargic penalty of failing a mining check, or at least heavily reduce it, and while you’re add it add different percentage weights to what you can find, depending on the area the mining spot spawns in. Beaches are higher chance, mid city mostly rocks for example.

Please fix the washing machine animations allowing more detailed processes like putting soap into the washer and having the clothes turn visibly as they are getting washed. Whenever you change clothes your old clothes can spawn into a hamper it would also be cute to have a clothing line where you can dry your clothes outside..💙

I think we all agree there should be two branches: something closer to classic gardening (but still not farming), and large‑scale farming that actually uses the strengths of the engine and the game – the huge open world in a fairly mature presentation, the living realistic nature, the ability to handle many small and large vehicles, as well as potentially handle animals and livestock.

Limiting to a small-size gardening is like reducing city traversal, removing GTA‑style features, and shifting the entire focus onto a single active lot, inZOI is capable of much more.

People are already asking for horses implemented at the level of Red Dead Redemption. That’s what makes the game exciting and builds so much anticipation and hype, whereas cozy and Sims 4-style design kills about 70% of that.

This is an extremely small suggestions but I think it could help with making the world feel more alive: is it possible to add in more crowd ambience in more populated areas? I've noticed at least like in Cahaya that I almost never hear chatter and it feels kind of unnatural, especially when surrounded by people.

I know a lot of games tend to have it where when a certain threshold of characters are in an area that's when crowd ambience kicks in. I'm not sure though how difficult that would be to implement.

Here’s something. Since the team obviously has many modelers, there will always be assets created alongside game systems. What if you can do both and use modelers for the game systems?

This is done by updating/creating furniture, paint/wallpaper, and clothing stores. What the stores would have are UNIQUE items that you can’t buy straight off the menu (besides free-build). It would add a whole new thing to want to do which is actually shop for things you don’t have, and modelers dish things out like crazy, so it can easily be expanded all the time. This is how modelers can be used to expand even gameplay without even changing what they already do. It’s only work for the game designers and yet it adds double what you can hard-code in because of how modelers simply need to upkeep it with new things.

It can be a parallel of the classic public assets, and a small batch of store-unique assets alongside it. Theres already the unique gifting you guys do every update, how about you just expand that into shopping for it?

And since assets are always dished out so fast, you can even include online shop of these assets, but at a smaller level. So it’s easier since it’s online, but smaller array that gets rotated every amount of time to a new set. You’ll choose if u wanna buy as u see it available, or go to the store directly to see the way bigger array. Kinda like GTA where u can buy online but also directly in the stores like dealerships (Ahem, dealerships idea👀)

Ofc stores are needed no matter what like when we’ll need grocery stores and all that, so I think atp this also needs to be added on the list, maybe even higher, since it’s literally just updating the buildings we have or adding new ones, and doing what is already done with CAZ/build assets, but just adding 1 more step to add it to your inventory, but it’s also more gameplay additive, as you’re actually shopping for what you don’t know exists, or for something you found you wanted and need to work for to afford

I agree with you. The great graphics and the open-world mean that a country setting could be well utilised.

I love the idea of having farming expanded to include livestock: chickens, sheep, goats, and cows. I think it would be nice to be able to make just about anything (e.g. food, clothing) using ingredients you grow or gather (e.g. eggs, milk, goats milk, wool). I remember seeing this woman on YouTube who makes everything from scratch (Li Ziqi). Her videos were very popular; it was really satisfying to watch someone go through the entire process of making a cloak (among other things) from start to finish. I’d love to see gameplay like this one day.

Apart from the gameplay opportunities, I think it would give players a reason to have their zois spend more time in a natural setting, made enjoyable by the amazing graphics this game offers.

I understand that some of this would require a lot of time and resources and so would likely need to be part of a future DLC.

One of the things I love about playing life sim games is the opportunity to live an outdoorsy life (one I can’t live out in real life). I think at the moment, inZOI is missing a real reason to be in natural settings (apart from snorkelling). I think expanding the farming gameplay and having more collectibles in nature (like flowers, truffles and mushrooms) may address this issue.

I agree. **I have felt this for a while, but the development team has a bad habit of constantly 'skipping' steps when creating animations or adding features.**😔

In RPGs, players tend to get frustrated if the details are excessive, but this isn't an RPG. Since it is a life simulation game, please don't forget that players actually appreciate it more when you show detailed animations.

Players have pointed out these flaws frequently in the past because they were already so common.

(Examples: the lack of animation for making and handing over coffee, the omission of calculation animations, Absence of third-person roller coaster ride animations, Skip Zoi operation when using a smartphone, and the omission of the feature to make and hand over food from a street truck.)

Looking at the farming animations in this video as well, it is very disappointing to see all farming tasks for every plot completed with just a single, short animation.

When you give commands to plant seeds or water, Zoi has to manually plant the seeds and water each plot one by one in sequence.

Is this because the developers are new to this genre? It is unfortunate to see them constantly missing these details. You must fix this bad habit.

Kjun, please review the details carefully to ensure the development team does not skip work steps. Players who enjoy this genre do not like 'skipping'.

With gardening and farming, I hope to see a more detailed animation for harvesting, rather than swapping. Same with the blender animation, even though I was so happy about the blender when I saw the whole animation, I got a little disappointed at the end when Zois just swapped the juice. Give us a whole animation.
Like for cooking you can take the Sims 2 as a reference on how detailed the animation looks. Serving food in the sims 2 i just love. Please more detailed with the animation even if it takes time.

kjun, we always appreciate the update videos you share. However, we would like to convey this message. Kjun stated that 'Fundamentals First' is the top priority, but I still cannot shake the feeling that the current order of game production is all mixed up.
The most urgent area for improvement right now is to build a system that can fundamentally solidify the foundation of this game, rather than focusing on detailed features.
We must first build a system that can firmly support the features we will show in the future, and the systems that should be at the forefront of this are:

The 'Personality' + 'Skills' system + 'Autonomy' system.

While we were able to hear Kjun's thoughts regarding 'Autonomy,' it is somewhat disappointing that there hasn't even been a mention of how the 'Personality' and 'Skills' systems are progressing.

The Personality and Skills systems are the 'root' systems that will branch out like branches in the future and influence all features.
Especially in the life simulation genre, the Personality system is the most important first element that can determine the unique character of inzoi. The 'Personality' system must not be a mere 'decorative' feature.
Players must be able to tangibly feel how the actions of the zoi they choose—whether big or small—can determine the course of their lives.
Furthermore, if the zoi's individuality is properly revealed according to their personality, players will experience a much deeper sense of immersion and enjoyment.

The same applies to the skill system. Skills are a crucial system that can add depth to the job career system to be added in the future, while simultaneously serving as a core element that provides players with goals and motivation.
Borrowing ideas for the skill system mentioned previously, we need to deepen the process of learning skills.

Kjun, please plant the roots in the ground before pruning. This is a truly important point.

I am so excited for canvastown and would love to start building. Is there any information you can give about the lot sizes? Will we be able to select and place lots ourselves or will lots be assigned already? Will lots be a similar size to any of the current cities (Dowon, Bliss Bay or Cahaya)?

Also, I've noticed that we can't build farming supply stores or florists in the 'build mode' studio because we can't place farming supply shelves or a florists' bucket. It would be great if we could have access to some of these items so that we can build any kind of building.

I mean long‑term updates throughout the game’s lifecycle, ofc just so the devs know that we’re interested in a countryside setting with horseback riding, trains, off‑road vehicles, a large realistic farm, a proper growth/storage/sustainable production cycle, plenty of opportunities for entrepreneurship, and so they build base game with those future plans in mind. I’ve been following the forum for a long time and watched people imagine entire towns built around these features, some envisioned an American region (Kansas), others a mountainous Alpine area. But overall, it’s an incredibly native setting for inZOI.

Allow you to just hop in a car and pay on a by mile or by minute basis. Basically if someone hopped in one of these cars, it wouldn't be stealing, and you could just deduct some money from our bank account or send a bill, but if you get in a car without this logo, then it's a crime.

This would be super cool and really make life more like the way some of us live in our cities, as living in a European city, I'd never ever want a car personally, but maybe I'd use a car occasionally for something like moving house or doing my groceries.

**Stealing Cars & Goods | License Plates | Cops **

Just wanted to say that I personally** LOVE** the fact that you incorporated this feature into inZOI for criminal content-thank you! There are endless possibilities of criminal gameplay that can be added into base game and in the future of inZOI and I’m looking forward to seeing what the inZOI studio team has in store 😊.

Since a glimpse of stealing cars was shown, it is uncertain if other features/animations have since been incorporated when stealing a car. Below are some feedback and suggestions solely based on what was shown for inspiration or consideration to be incorporated into base game or in the game sometime in the future.

Feedback:
Realistically, cars are usually locked and armed. Going around the city and finding every car to be unlocked is not only unrealistic, but also not rewarding when trying to steal a vehicle gameplay wise . Where’s the challenge? Where’s the motivation to steal a car when all cars are unlocked? Goals? Achievements? Special perks or skills obtained?

Suggestions:
Cars around the city should be locked and armed with a small possibility of lucky chance of finding an unlocked vehicle. Additionally, it would be nice if different ways to steal a car were incorporated with different consequences (pros & cons) such as:

**Breaking the driver’s window: **

  • Quickest way to break into a car

  • Will trip off alarm alerting nearby zois and cops

  • High chance of leaving fingerprints on broken glass thus cops can identify you quickly

  • May cause injury/infection- will have to visit hospital for treatment. If not treated, can cause serious illness or death

    **Using different types of equipment to break in: **

  • Moderately time consuming to use to break into a car - a chance of nearby zois to catch you

  • Lowers chances of an alarm tripping off & alerting cops

  • Different equipments locked behind certain levels of the crime skill

  • Costly to buy and use

    ** Keys:**

  • Safest way to steal a car

  • A small chance to obtain a stolen key from pickpocketing zois

  • A stolen key obtained from pickpocketing will have the car associated with that key shown on the mini map to find it

  • A time limit to find the car before the zoi the player stole from realize their key is gone and call the cops

License Plates

  • Since cars will have unique license plates, then maybe police officers can check license plates for theft, warrants and insurance. If anything is suspicious or invalid (expired/not paid) then tickets can be issued or they can make an arrest.
    • If a player steals a car they should have the ability to change the license plate either bought from the black market (Dark Mew) or crafted with a high level skill of crime, logic and handiwork or this could be a special skill unlocked/learned from prison 👀 . The better the quality a fake license plate is the higher the chance of fooling cops if ever stopped and searched by one to escape from being arrested.

**Goods | Purses | Bags left in cars **

  • Ability to steal goods, purses, bags, packages or etc. that are left in cars

**Equipment: **

  • Signal Jammers: GPS jamming devices to block the signal of a car's integrated tracking system, making stolen vehicles harder to trace by cops.
  • Pry Bars/Screwdrivers: a tool to break into a car
  • Lockpicks: a tool to break into a car
  • Turbo Decoders: tool used to pick and manipulate manual door locks & mimick the correct key shape to unlock a car without causing damage.

  • I like that the cinema screen is HUGE this will make lot building so much more realistic now :)). Would it be possible to add video mp4/mp3 files for videos to play in order on the cinema screens? Like uploading 4 files from our computer and they would play in order like a playlist? But on the screen we can have a function that allows us to start each file manually too. Like play movie 1, play movie 2, etc. ( I included a photo below as well)
  • Can some movies be age specific meaning kids can't watch movies for adults? If they sneak in they can get caught and kicked out. Same if they watch age specific movies not for them at home, parents can ground them. Like a high intense action movie or horror movie.

  • Adding car lock feature to all cars
  • Will it be possible to add a feature where we can have some zois lock their cars and some who wouldn't.   • Other thoughts I had on the properties:

    Hair salon - Will there be washing stations? And animations for drying, cutting, and washing zoi hair
    Boat shop??
    Architecture? I think it would be nice if we could hire an interior designer to redecorate our homes and business lots

Gardening Please Add More Options
I really liked the option to water each plant plot individually idk I found it therapeutic I love plants and since I suck at growing them in real life, it's like keeping my own little garden 🙁 can you please add it back? 😅 And keep it as a option along with the new one that covers a wider space. I like the fact others have said adding option for harvest/water all that way we can keep water/harvest here for single plots when selected.

  • Also can there be an option for some plants we can harvest early and still be able to use them/ eat them? like baby spinach, baby carrots etc.

Seen the car stealing option which i find a fun way to spice up the gameplay.. BUT there should be some type of challenge around it, right now it’s too easy to steal a car, add like an animation where a zoi that owns a “hammer” where they can break open the window, or when a zoi doesn’t have a hammer they could use a small tool to hack the car locks.. wrap a skill around it maybe, a zoi that has a high skill in criminal activity could easily steal a car while another zoi with a very low criminal skill could completely fail. There needs to be challenges, because right now everything is so easy which makes it boring.. but i understand, game is in early access and everything could improve significantly

Unless we properly establish the 'Personality' or 'Autonomy' systems first, this game will look like nothing more than a soulless simulator.
The various features suggested by many will be nothing more than 'decorations' unless they are added on top of this foundation.

In particular, please properly build the 'Personality' system so that the Zois feel like much more living characters than they do now.
After establishing the personality system, 'autonomy' must also be determined according to personality.

The current 'personality' system is in an unfinished state, neither here nor there, and the 'autonomy' system is much worse.
We must approach this issue with the utmost depth and seriousness.

Hi Kjun, enjoyed the video and am excited about the March update. I like the tricycles for the children to ride. I hope there is an option where children can ask their parents to help them learn how to ride a tricycle and eventually when they can ride well, they can have the training wheels taken off so that it's an actual bike. Also, can you add helmets for the children and adults who ride bicycles/mopeds/motorcycles in the game. I've seen a lot of Zois fly off their mopeds/motorcycles and thought maybe a helmet would have helped prevented them from dying...LOL!!! I would also throw in some elbow and kneepads as well since you plan to eventually finish the skate park and make it functional. I still haven't heard any updates on strollers, so I hope that is still coming along and we can see it soon whether in April or May along with the auto-lighting, same with the children's playground being functional and the volleyball court. Lastly, the car stealing is a good addition to the criminal gameplay, and a lot of people are happy about it. My concern is what are the Zois able to do with all the cars they can successfully steal? Can they keep them? Will Zois now be allowed to own and have multiple cars in their inventory or household? Can they sell the cars and make a profit off it? Also, how are they going to be arrested? Are police cars or segue ways being added to the game so police officers can quickly catch car thieves who are driving away or are they still going to chase them on foot or wait until they get to a resting stop to make the arrests or wait to arrest them at their house?

the maps in inzoi are very big, but i wish that they were built in a less grid-like pattern. Having more variety in the shapes of streets in the city makes it feel more vibrant and varied,. i gave an example from sims 4 on how future inzoi maps could look like

I love liziqi i agree a pack like that or at least including more elements of the "off the grid" lifestyle where you could make it a full on lifestyle in the game (sense we already got a lot of these elements in the cahaya update) but i heard they plan to make an entire city based on the outskirts or a rural lifestyle i think hopefully at least things like camping and Van life being able to live off the grid in a van. Camping and traveling living in a van would be a really peaceful gameplay alternative!

Now we're getting floor mattresses this unlocks so many ideas for alternative sleeping situations. Hopefully someday in the future Zois can ask guests if they can sleep over. If a Zoi doesn't have extra beds guests could sleep in sleeping bags or sofa beds. This could be cool for sleepovers with friends or family.

I also noticed in the video that the picture from the movie screen theatre is so crisp and clear. Can you please fix the picture quality with the televisions in game? The pictures on the televisions are so blurry and need to have a more crisp, clean look. The blurriness is fine for the older, more cheaper televisions, but the more expensive, modern and flat screen televisions in game should have better picture quality.

@empty cargo Plant watering automation should not water all garden beds at once. There should be a button that, when pressed, makes the character automatically water all beds in the area, one by one.

Right now in the game you have to click on each bed separately every time. But watering all beds at once after a single animation looks terrible.

Since it looks like movies are being worked on id love the ability for there to be buying tickets, custom movies that you can only see by going to the movie theaters and clear animations. The movie tv you guys made looks great! Id also like a rework for the regular TVs too because the animations for them are a bit choppy and blurry.

Also for movie theaters there's usually these platforms where there's stairs so you can choose weather to be seated higher or down low. Id love to see that incorporation in inzoi so the chairs are not all on one flat floor if that makes sense

Another thing is a swim around button for our zois. More NPCs swimming at pools/beaches. And more NPCs in the amusement parks. Id also love if that bumper car ride in blissbay to become functional for the kids and the playgrounds with slides.

World building in inZOI is far more complex. What you’re showing is basically a stitched‑together 2D screen of 5 physically unrelated neighborhoods, and even inside them everything is mostly set dressing, the world is a weakest mock‑up from a systems POV.
In inZOI there’s a very advanced Traffic AI that, according to Kjun, took more than 1.5 years to design. Every car, every Zoi in the flow follows traffic rules + they plan to add chases, emergency services, and all of that has to be integrated into the logic of the traffic system. It’s slightly cheaper for the system if they design traffic along straight lines and extrapolate, instead of using non-linear.
If you compare inZOI’s world design to anything, it’s closer to GTA or Watch Dogs – that’s the level the game is aiming for. The Sims is just a thing of the past from this POV.

@silver basin yes, yes, horses! I posted some RDR2 horse‑purchase footage a bit above in the chat. I’m actively playing through it right now, and I really hope all of this comes in the first wave after the roadmap is finished!

@teal torrent I think the input method is the real limitation here. On a gamepad all the face buttons are reserved for contextual actions (even with Y held) and you’d get a huge imbalance between direct control and point‑and‑click, as if, logically, the game shouldn’t exclude the functions of one control scheme from the other

I think the original concept of a world with cars and a large open map is a clear counterpoint to the franchise that couldn’t pull it off. They knew exactly which pressure points to hit to take that part of the market. Canvastown will already have around 40 lots, which makes it 5+ times smaller than the main cities, but I’m sure it will still include traffic, because most of the roadmap features we asked for involve vehicle mechanics (deliveries, food trucks, police, firefighters, ambulances). Maybe later there will be a smaller one. But it’s important to remember: the Sims is the Sims, and inZOI is inZOI, it doesn’t have to match it. A lot of people are waiting for things that the Sims doesn’t have and never will, while if they want to play something the Sims does have, they can just launch the Sims.

That’s understandable, once they finish the core foundation, we’ll definitely ask for something like that. But I’m going to be asking for a ton of machinery to work those fields, and ofc we’ll need cars and roads to transport the produce from the fields to the market. Maybe even horses, maybe trains, we’ll see.

It’s just that back in the day, around 2004-2006, when both the Sims 2 and GTA: SA came out, our forums were full of discussions about a GTA+Sims hybrid. And now, 20 years later, people finally have a chance to see something like that in reality.
All we need right now is for the inZOI Team to refine the basics of this hybrid genre, and then we’ll see where it goes.

Yess I think that horses would maybe be more complex to implement, but imagine a smaller town with these diverse walkways, small shops/cafes around the corners, nooks and crannys and neighbourhoods that sort of blend into the environment naturally.

I think that this would also make the WASD movement feel better to, seeing as the walking distances wouldn’t be too long which thus would make the world a lot more connected with other Zois in the nearby area.

Probably the gripe I have with the big cities Dowon and Bliss bay, feeling kinda underwhelmed by all the empty streets lol

Also i get your point completely. The current inzoi maps (especially dowon and bliss bay) are inspired by large cities that are built in the way i described, so it makes sense for them to want to build the roads in such ways.
I do however think they definetely could pull off making cities with smaller/fewer roads if they were to take inspiration from a city that isn't as car-centric
I hope this type of map design is something more people are interested in to be added sooner (or later), even though making the traffic and such could get a little bit trickier

For now, Canvastown was chosen as a kind of compromise option, a smaller city, because once information appeared about the main cities being reduced for optimization, people got scared, thinking Bliss Bay and Dowon were already too small. So we started researching the district-based systems to add more areas around the cities for seamless travel, and to make the subways, buses, airports/airplanes visitable.

When you click on a zoi/object, a ton of options appear and some players get overwhelmed and lost in the middle of so many possible actions.

I think if there were a search option that you can type as to hint to the game the action you were planning on doing it would help a lot.

For example, you click on another zoi because you want to flirt with them, instead of looking through lists and lists of actions, you could just type "flirt" and see all the actions related to this keyword "flirt jokingly", "flirt confidently", "gossip about last person you flirted with", and so on. (Just an example, those options are probably not in the game.)

We are approaching one year of inZOI, and if I had to define my biggest concern, it would be the feeling that we are moving in circles. The circles do expand, but the story keeps repeating itself.

Problem → Fix → Backlash → Reversal

  • 1: Players complain about the interface

  • 2: The interface is changed

  • 3: Players ask for the old interface back

  • 1: Players complain there is no complex gardening system

  • 2: A system is integrated into the game

  • 3: Players complain that it is tedious, and the team finds a solution… a rather dreadful one, to say the least. (sorry)

  • 1: The team shares their ambition that all inZOI careers would be active

  • 2: Players complain that active careers are repetitive

  • 3: Rabbit hole careers are added

  • 1: Cars can be parked

  • 2: An update removes this feature and players ask for it back

  • 3: Parking spots return (and now you can steal a car.__ But__ there is no confirmation that we will be able to keep our cars parked in the space or in the garage, and if, upon parking, the vehicle will remain there.)

  • 1: There is traffic and Zois can automatically drive their vehicles, and the big challenge is: how do we prevent them from taking an entire day to reach their destination? (2024)

  • 2: Zois get in the car, drive 10 meters, and a loading screen appears (2025)

  • 3: Several updates later: the Zoi gets in the car and immediately hits a loading screen (2026)

**The summary of the situation is this: **with every cycle we repeat, the circle becomes larger. The game revisits the same problems and introduces improvised solutions, but each time this happens the game itself becomes bigger.

So my concern is simple:

Are we spending this year solving the fundamentals first, or are we just walking in circles while the fundamentals first is enhanced with adhesive tapes and band-aids? Over the past few months inZOI has improved on many levels, but I hope it improves here too.

2: The interface is changed, but the old one remains available as an option in the in-game menu.

This is the same for the age group length (Changed in 0.2.0 -- it took a long time to get it back, and it's still not there yet)

But also the routines enforcement (artificial needs depletion not constant with usual needs depletion over time, forced actions like eating/washing/sleeping/waking up regardless of zoi's needs). This was changed because some zois walked the street tired and staved and would be moaning like zombies. Ppl complained zois could not take care of themselves... A problem I've never had with my managed families going as far back as the 0.1.0 era... Proper fix should have been that the routine only happens to a non-player family. Or better yet, having menu options like : Zoi routines? [ OFF / Non-Player families only / All families ].

TLDR; For some changes, you are 100% right.
For the others, the backlash is avoidable by having menu options.

Fun fact: the aging groups only got changed because players complained their zois were having ridges and wrinkles very soon in their lives. So the team didn't change the wrinkle mechanics, they just pushed back middle-age from 50 to 80 days old. But it kinda messed-up the "realistic aging" the game had.

Some solutions that were implemented were a bit odd, let's be honest.
This is one area I 100% expect the team to get much better at with time.
At least they are willing to acknowledge dissatisfaction and offer options/fixes. A lot of companies I deal with simply would NEVER admit to a bad change and never change anything afterwards.

Yesss! You raised a very valid point about the options. I agree that simulators generally benefit from allowing players to configure their experience (especially regarding the length of each life stage). Many systems can coexist if the player has the possibility to choose between them. And you brought up great examples of areas where the game would benefit from this. I loved it!

That said, my concern in this time is more focused on the systemic level. Options can resolve differences in player preferences, but they don't necessarily address deeper structural issues, such as the interaction between systems, how trade-offs in the simulation are handled, or how core mechanics evolve over time. (I think your example of the Zois' forced routine fits perfectly with my concern here).

And a small addition: This also falls under scripted events. There are situations where the event itself, like receiving a neighbor or being mugged, ends up feeling extremely artificial and unintuitive. It's great to be able to press a button and do everything, but that also removes unpredictability.

Still, I agree with you that the team's willingness to acknowledge dissatisfaction and make adjustments is a positive sign. Many studios would simply insist on their decisions and never revise them. So, I hope that what we're seeing now is simply part of the game still finding its solid foundations. I would completely understand if that were the case.

Main Idea
Currently, the money system functions primarily as a shared household fund. Although there is the option to withdraw money from the bank, its usefulness is often unclear when all family members share the same money.

The proposal is to introduce a system of individual and shared bank accounts, allowing for more realistic and narrative-driven financial management within families.

How the System Works
Each Zoi could have:

Personal Account: money belonging to that character that only they can use.

Household Account: a shared fund for household expenses.

Optional shared accounts (for example, between couples).

When moving in with another character, several options could be chosen:

Fully shared account
Separate accounts
Hybrid system (personal account + shared account)
This would allow for more realistic situations, similar to a separation of assets.

Gameplay Examples
This system would allow for many interesting interactions:

Giving a child a birthday present, which would remain in their personal account.
Grandparents financially supporting their children or grandchildren.
Couples where each partner manages their own money.
Teenagers learning to manage their own budget.
Characters secretly saving for personal projects.
Benefits for the Game
Greater realism in family finances.
More emerging storylines between characters.
Greater depth in money management.
New family and social dynamics.

Another issue I’d like to point out is that, for many players, these changes felt like they were made quietly, without a conducted survey, e.g. in the in‑game lobby. Because of the disappointment and genuine care for the game, ever since v0.3 I’ve been forced to monitor every move the team makes here, simply because I honestly stopped understanding why (e.g., in the 48‑min survey, the final outcome did not have a majority), and where all these dissatisfied people are – are they still actively playing, or did they only leave behind this legacy? Judging by how many people keep asking to bring back or at least toggle certain removed/damaged features, and how they ask this out of deep love for the original rather than out of whim, this sentiment clearly hasn’t disappeared.

And people’s respect also depends on how much the company itself respects its own decisions. For example, it hired a UI artist, they completed the task down to the last won and created a top-tier UI, one of the best in games, and then the company decided it no longer wanted this UI. What was the point of the expenses? Same with the eliminated personality system – come on, I was blown away by how amazing the game looked.

And here’s a 2024 combo – a convertible driving fast through Dowon with awesome graphics and the classic UI. A real sleek classic UI, not that Sims‑like option they showed. Everything looks better in the image below. Can you really do that to the original? A game needed to be developed in depth and forward, not sideways.

  • Teens could be given their own “debit” cards and earn money from allowances or part-time jobs. Access to their money could be restricted if they get into trouble or spend too much.

The important point is this:

The development team initially created the game based on their own sensibilities and vision.
However, as time went on and they received feedback, they focused solely on trying to accommodate everyone's opinions, and unfortunately, they failed to realize that their own sense of style was crumbling.

Let's take UI design as a simple example.
Initially, the development team showcased the unique character and sophisticated visuals characteristic of Inzoi.
However, after receiving feedback that the design lacked readability, they decided to change it. It's fine up to this point.

But the problem is that instead of maintaining their original style while making changes, they switched to a crude design that completely lacked any individuality.
That is why it is only natural that requests to revert to the original design emerged.
Consequently, the changed design was not an upgrade from the basic design, but merely a crude one.

However, the development team seems to have changed their mindset, failing to realize that their sense of design is crumbling, thinking, "Since complaints arise no matter how we change it, it would be better to just include it as an option to accommodate everyone's opinions."
But that is not the real problem. The development team comes up with solutions every time, but these are merely impromptu changes, not upgraded solutions brought about by longtime of dedicated effort.
That is why the cycle of Problem → Fix → Backlash → Reversal is bound to repeat.

A few relationship interactions that I would love to see in the near future;

Goodbye hug or wave goodbye: just a proper way to end a visit or conversation.

Kiss hand/caress face/grab or touch buttocks (especially while hugging): More flirty ways to interact.

Push, shove, slap back & forth, a real fight. I would love to see more fighting animations and styles.

Group attention: I like how Zois call 911 when they witness crimes. However, it would be cool to see zois gather around an argument/fight and root or pull out their phone to record/take pictures. Or during a proposal, zois who witness claps or cheers.

I've been wanting this for my storytelling and it gives zois more life and personality.

Instead of releasing an upgraded version of the existing system, they simply added a few detailed personality traits and made it feel similar to The Sims, presenting this as the solution. This merely undermines Inzoi's individuality and cannot be a solution.

Furthermore, similar behaviors are observed throughout most of the production process, creating a sense of déjà vu.

Instead of spending a long time deliberating and investing in upgrades, the development team is frequently seen making improvised modifications in a short amount of time and bringing them out.

When creating new features, the development team doesn't seem to build them step-by-step from the beginning; instead, they appear to be in a rush no matter what they add.

I don't have the same romantic view of the older version that @mighty anchor has, but I understand where it comes from. And I respect it.

I agree with the points raised by @craggy torrent, because much of what we see today has been iterated based on feedback, and my dilemma is that there seems to be noise between:

  • what the player wants
  • how they communicate it
  • what the team reads
  • how they interpret it.

In other words: the player wants A, communicates B, the team reads C, and implements D.

It's not really anyone's fault that this happens, since what is important for a simulation differs from player to player. For that reason, if I were part of the team, the first thing I would do is take the data from the survey that was conducted some time ago and focus my efforts on it. There is an interesting contrast in that information, because players said they felt the lack of gameplay features, but at the same time asked for more hairstyles.

So I would focus on systems and mechanics, because the rest is less complicated to add later. (Depth of mechanics)

As @nimble stump mentioned, I haven't been insisting on the implementation of some of the ideas I suggested, because I understand today that the team is working on many fronts and insisting does not necessarily lead to the idea being implemented. Besides that, if the idea I suggested were applied with the tools we currently have, it would not solve the problem.

The current Events system is not ideal for implementing the concept of opportunities. Because: It is predictable, it is not related to the Zoi's condition or progression in relationships, skills, or career, and it seems to be independent from everything else, being completely tied to the lot and generating scripted events (in other words, rigid ones).

That is why I am not insisting on this idea at the moment, because to apply it they would need to use a different approach, as I mentioned in the thread, probably. :c

Continuing: For personality, they adopted a kind of system based on archetypes (which I actually like). However, these archetypes, together with Values (I’m not sure if they are already connected behind the scenes), should allow two Zois who share the same trait to not necessarily be identical, but to share some consistent and observable behaviors.

Right now there is an absurd number of interactions in the menu. (I usually spend more time looking for interaction than having fun) So when our Zois choose to communicate, we don’t really know whether it is random, whether there is a system weighing which interactions they choose based on personality/values/relationship, and if such a system does exist, then we likely have another problem: the current translation makes this very difficult to perceive. (There is no indication that a specific interaction is special to a trait, for example)

What I would do: I would reorganize the interactions, reduce their number, and make them unlock gradually according to progression in skills, values, interests, context, location, the activity being performed, and the level of ambition achieved. (So I would only talk about a client if I were an employee (for example))

I would intertwine all these systems, make likes and dislikes less passive and less dependent on direct player choice (as they used to be in the past, for a change), and add one more ingredient: chaos.

This way we would have an overlap of systems, and when that happens, stories could emerge independently. I would also redesign the group interaction menu in places like seating areas, allowing other Zois to join and use those interactions freely and independently.

I’m saying this as someone with an art background and actual level‑art experience: there was nothing wrong with inZOI’s visual side. I haven’t seen any surveys that clearly showed the resources needed to be redirected into redrawing the visuals because they were supposedly terrible. Same goes for many other elements.

Discord’s Summary probably doesn’t account for upvote counts at all, so even a downvoted post can end up having the same weight as one with 50+ upvotes. And people who are happy with the game often don’t hang out here (they’re busy playing) so without a proper survey we always end up relying on the “loud minority”.

For example, the current survey actually showed that over 38% of players run the game on Ultra, while only 7% use Very Low, which doesn’t really match the predictions they’d get from an upvote‑based system.

UPD As for the bigger picture (if we’re not talking about surveys) lately I’ve been seeing @strange thistle viewpoint very often, especially regarding the dynamic personality system, the social ripple effect, mental breakdowns, counselling, ghost play, which Kjun highlighted in his responses after our discussions on the topic. And I’d really love it if inZOI Team also relied on the partners, for decisions like these. As just a regular member, I trust you, the people whom the inZOI Team itself trusts.

i understand your point and I agree with you on some level but i don’t think we should have options and toggles for everything. It becomes overwhelming and even if we do have a toggle or options, the default should be appropriate. New players won’t necessarily look to see all the options available to them.

Take the age lengths; if everyone is as unhappy as you and i are with the length or each age group, we shouldn’t just have age adjustment options, we need to change the default because some players will just say “this sucks. My zois all die of old age before their children reach young adulthood” and potentially leave before finding out that they can change this design, especially if they have to scroll through a thousand different settings to find the one they want.

**Animations I hope to see is **

  • a couple being able to talk to each other while one is taking a bath and one is brushing their teeth
  • Being able to put toilet seat down to for a zoi to sit down on and a have a conversation with the other while they bathe
  • two zois on a bed together can lay in the bed and just talk to each other
  • a zoi can asked to be held until they fall asleep be it on the couch or bed then the zoi who's still awake can get up from the bed and leave the other zoi sleeping. This particular animation wouldnt be limited to couples only but any zois -
  • Being able to just sit on the edge of a bed
  • Zois pouring wine or other drinks for each other while sitting at a table
  • Zois checking their mailboxes for daily mail
  • When a zoi stops reading or pauses reading I'd like to see variations of the book placed face down or closed on a surface with a bookmark, until they resume it again

Cooking Animations

  • Adding the ability and option for food to continue cooking when a zoi steps away (or in this case 'cancels' the action') or goes to complete another action. This can cause food to burn though if not back in time.
  • Asking other zois to help cook with your zoi
  • I still feel some animations should be fleshed out more such as making microwave ramen at home, zoi should add water to it under the faucet first then place it in the microwave
  • When cooking a new recipe for the first time zoi will reference and read from a book in front of them while cooking

Even after a year, it seems they still don't even have a clue which path they are heading in.
If they had a firm concept, they would have listened to feedback without compromising their identity.
In Korea, people often use expressions like "having thin ears" or "shaking like a reed" to describe someone who lacks conviction or principles and whose mind or behavior changes easily depending on their surroundings, circumstances, or the opinions of others.

Since Inzoi's roots are still weak, the tree is bound to sway. That is why I keep telling them to plant the roots first.

I do agree with you in some ways. They've said many times that they're new to this genre of game. They need to remember that we as players have become invested in this game because we love the vision they have for the game. I love that they listen to so much of our feedback but when our feedback differs from their vision, I think they need to be willing to say no.

In saying that, we do want a successful game and responding to player feedback is a big part of that. In addition, many of the changes players dislike are not ones that conflict with the original vision for the game. They are small changes, designed to make the game more accessible or easier to play.

I think @mighty anchor is right. Whenever the developers are considering a significant change to a core system in the game or to the UI, they should offer players a chance to review the proposed changes and provide their opinions in the form of a survey. It would be great if these surveys were in-game and accessible to all players but even if they did a poll in discord (like they did with the survey on graphics settings), this might provide a more well-rounded view of all players opinions.

I remember how, in an interview, Kjun mentioned the influence of his (MMO)RPG background, SimCity, and the foundations of stoicism on the game’s system concepts (things that let society evolve and stay balanced – guard (police, jail), the ripple effect, the karma – and he talked about all of this with a special kind of passion and affection.

But from day one players kept saying, “why isn’t it like the Sims (killer)”, and this concept started to fall apart. I understand that the issue was the low level of readiness, where many ideas remained only on paper / in the early jenkins test builds, and the not‑so‑successful post-launch, which left the author’s position overly vulnerable and easily challenged by any player.

I’m not bringing him ideas from city‑builders, prof simulators, action RPGs for no reason, I genuinely like how the game has embraced a hybrid genre and cross‑genre mechanics, and that’s the direction I want it to move in. It massively expands the audience’s engagement. The devs just need to actually play all these games themselves (esp. the game designers and animators) and use more examples on the engine, even game-ready assets, since many AAA are on UE now and all the technologies are readily available there, including fully assembled human/horse traversal animations, car damage, etc.

But for pro Sims players, things are more complicated: the team picked up both the “do it like Sims” and “copycat” signals, but actually figuring out how to build it themselves without prior experience / before finding their feet is a pretty tough challenge.

How fast travel works in GTA Online (using the taxi as an example, since it’s similar to automatic car driving in inZOI):

– at first there’s a Hurry button to speed up the ride
– after a few seconds the Skip option appears
– you can watch the scenery for as long as you want, and when you get tired of it, you press Skip.

If the problem was that too much time was being spent, the game can freeze time when the player presses Skip (Fast Travel). But for immersion, the regular real‑time ride is still available, or the Hurry mode, with finding free roads or breaking traffic rules and getting fines.

I’m sure this has been requested before but something that would really help with immersion for me is the automatic change of outfit. Is there any way to turn it off completely?
I would love the option to wake up in my pijamas and stay in them for a while. Then if I need to leave the house, change myself into outdoors outfit IF I want to. I would like for people to react to me wearing pjs outside (as if I was strange for doing so - this is only optional, doesn’t bother me if they don’t).
When I’m swimming in Chahaya, if I’ve got a boat, it changes from swimwear every time I get on the boat. This really breaks immersion for me.

As well, it seems like currently if you wear your daily outfit indoors during winter, you’ll catch a cold anyway, regardless of having a roaring fire in the fireplace. It would be helpful for the temperature to adjust if you have a fire and such.
I don’t know if this last thing is due to wearing the daily outfit outdoors for a tiny period of time, in which case it would be good to adjust how long to catch a cold during winter if it isn’t raining.

I wish you could somehow personally push your ideas and suggestions to Kjun and the devs. I also love the direction they're going in as far as becoming a hybrid and Im also really hoping that they continue to move in that direction. A life simulation game with cross genre mechanics! That will help draw a lot of players in the future because its something different. It'll also be beneficial since they'll be having multiplayer soon.

I do admire the fact that Kjun and the devs were willing to try something new and genre-blending, but they (and we) also have to acknowledge the reality that life-sim gamers are a specific audience looking for a specific type of gameplay. I'm not knocking MMORPGs, but the underlying gameplay is very different from something like InZoi, and a lot of the features people admire (like naturalistic behaviour routines) would be way tougher to implement in a game where every NPC is fully simulated. And while I do enjoy city management games, there are serious problems with trying to integrate top-level management gameplay with the detailed 'dollshouse' gameplay of a typical life sim. The original karma system is a good example of this - many people liked it in theory, but not when it meant having to interrupt their day-to-day family gameplay to worry about the karma status of dozens of random NPCs.

It's completely reasonable to expect that InZoi will mostly attract fans of Sims-style gameplay, because The Sims is THE life-sim game that formed the basis for the entire genre. The reality is that anyone who wants to make a successful Sims competitor has to focus their efforts around that type of gameplay. Hybrid elements are great if you can make them work, but they're not a guarantee of expanding the audience - it's entirely possible that you just end up with a disjointed mishmash that pleases nobody.

Thank you ☺️ It wouldn’t be very fair to other members, but as I said, if inZOI Team reached out to their partners for opinions, that would be great – BoringBones pointed out some uncomfortable but honest issues with the reverts, and SugarZoi was really inspired by the dynamic personalities and reactions we proposed. This is only an example, but I’m sure it would have had an impact on the decision‑making process.

@gleaming moon the thing is, even within this chat the audience includes Sims, GTA/RDR/action/RPG, MMO/MOBA, casual/mobile players, … and each group sees things in their own way. And collectively, everyone sees life itself differently, which is exactly what the genre is about. So the best we can do is give feedback. I’m giving mine – I love both the fundamentals/roadmap and the current members’ ideas (and even what we’ve already imagined for next year), and I wouldn’t want the team to abandon this direction in favor of something else.

City management doesn’t even have to exist inside a dynamic simulation, it can be a settings‑based system. You move the “crime” slider up – the city becomes full of crime. You do your job as a cop – the city’s crime level goes down (lower chance of a thief spawning, etc). Same with firefighters or paramedics: the frequency of events just increases or decreases accordingly.

I totally understand where you're coming from; I'm just tired of seeing scorn heaped on any kind of change that makes the game more like The Sims (and by extension, anyone who approves of those changes). There's nothing inherently wrong with a life-sim game having gameplay elements that resemble the foundational life-sim game, and there's nothing wrong with changing direction when something clearly isn't working. As an example: I fully understand the complaints about changes to the personality system, but I personally still find the current system (with traits etc.) a massive improvement on the old one. Obviously there's still a lot of work to do and the more they can make it resemble their original concept, the better. But I worry about the devs getting the impression everyone hates these changes (UI, karma, personality etc.) and was happy with the old system, which absolutely isn't the case.

The point is that a specific game with a specific concept was sold, and just like with many other games, people interpret it differently – the same game can be liked and disliked at the same time. This factor affects further dev as well, but in early access it’s especially visible. There were those who purchased the game and wanted the original ideas to grow, and those who purchased the game but wanted to remake it. And changes made without surveys felt unfair to the people who supported the original vision but somehow, despite being the most loyal, ended up abandoned. There’s no smoke without fire – if so many different groups react the same way, then the problem isn’t imagined.

And this isn’t unique to inZOI, any life‑sim community is mixed. These games are different (the main game series, the spin‑offs); and the features that are done really well in one part can be terrible in another. There are people in this chat who absolutely despise Sims 4, or who never played beyond Sims 2 or 3, or console, and there are those who miss the LBY.

As my friend put it very clearly recently – just give me the familiar family management, business, competition, and then do whatever you want with the rest. And I also liked this one: if the Sims is already so great, then what’s the point of making/playing inZOI.

Every game apart from extremely simple ones is going to change significantly over the course of development - some things sound great at the concept stage but just don't work in practice, some place too heavy a load on the system, etc. I'm sympathetic to people who fell in love with the original concept and wanted a game exactly like that, but the whole point of EA is to allow players feedback and input into the development process. If the original approach wasn't working for most players, what were the devs supposed to do other than change it? And as you point out, people clearly interpreted the original concept differently - I saw the early videos and never got the idea that InZoi was going to be some kind of GTA hybrid or multi-genre blend. I expected a game pretty similar to The Sims; not identical by any means, but definitely built on the same foundation and with very similar gameplay.

I defintitely want InZoi to keep its own style and direction, but if people are asking for certain features to be 'more like The Sims', that's only a symptem of the actual problem. It means that whatever InZoi has come up with as a replacement is not working for many people. Absolutely the devs should make better use of surveys etc. when discussing potential changes, and they should try to find solutions that work with their original ideas, but it's a fact that right now the Sims series just does certain things better (e.g multitasking) just as InZoi does certain things better (the open world, for example).

I hope they add more takes that aren't just clicking on the computer (this happenes a lot in the entertainer career). Like maybe you have to build a specific relationship with a co-worker or boss, or attend a dinner after work hours, attend conferences, get to travel for a conference, have to read a book, train other employees, maybe go to happy hours, or maintain client/investor relationships (important in the entertainment career), it just gets boring after awhile doing the same tasks everyday.

There isn't much interaction with coworkers or really anything meaningful about building work relationships and getting to business partners. So I hope they expand on that more in-depth.

Also I hope they work on improving some of the tasks like adding maybe talking options during meetings like presenting, asking questions, building a plan together on the screen, have to talk about performance of themselves or an employee that works under them. Because right now they just sit there and it's really boring and meaningless.

The problem is that for inZOI it’s not enough to do some things better in order to take a substantial place on the market. This sweet illusion that a portion of fans who drifted away from the Sims will come over and make inZOI successful, unfortunately, has no cold calculation behind it. Releasing a game in direct competition with a mastodon just to imitate it and wait for the mastodon to destroy itself can play a cruel joke. I genuinely wish inZOI tens of thousands of players, but I’m afraid that taking the path of least resistance and satisfying 5–10k people with similarity is not the path that will put inZOI on the pedestal. It makes me really sad.

I don't think any sane person would expect InZoi to actually replace The Sims any time soon, even on full release. Some people will play both; some will quit TS4 for InZoi/Paralives (I've already seen several streamers who plan to do this); others like me, who gave up on the Sims series long ago, will take the opportunity to return to the life-sim genre. Certainly making InZoi a carbon copy of TS4 wouldn't do the game any good, but that doesn't mean making it a cross-genre hybrid would necessarily help either.

I think it's important to remember the game has already sold a pretty decent number of copies, and most Early Access games see a sharp drop-off in players until the final release. Outside of the Discord etc. most of the complaints I've seen are about broken/missing features and lack of a strong gameplay loop, not that it's too similar to The Sims or not enough like GTA and SimCity.

inZOI sold that many copies because it was overhyped, because normies thought it was Sims+GTA, which is one of the most desired concepts in the entire gaming industry, ever. Oh, it wasn’t simmers who bought that first million, that’s a misconception. People like Asmongold bought it just to mess around. Twitch was flooded with randoms playing it, and the loudest wave weren’t made by simmers. What failed inZOI was that it launched as a buggy, “slightly” not‑what‑was‑promised version, but the boldness of announcing itself so loudly is exactly what gave it that initial success. Boldness matters. Being braver and harsher than people expect. Taking on too much, getting overwhelmed or knocked down, but still having the ambition to tame that challenge.

Bending to the stronger competitor and trying to satisfy complaints is not what makes a game successful (it matters, but it’s a lower‑level concern). What matters is grabbing attention and leaving a mark, just like any product, and even any person.

I agree. I think one feature missing from a lot of the careers is a social element. Having to build positive relationships with your boss and clients, having a work rival, an office romance and even office pranks. This would provide greater interest for the player.

I also think that one of the elements that makes the crime system fun and engaging is the sense that the player is expected to do more than just point and click - you need to time your actions, avoid onlookers or cameras and run from the police. In addition, the world around the zoi responds to their actions, there are consequences if caught. Choice and consequences are at the heart of this game and it's most clearly seen in the crime system at the moment. I'm not entirely sure how it could be done but I'd love to see this same interactivity brought to active careers.

There is a huge difference between referencing The Sims and imitating The Sims. The development team must understand this distinction.
People often say, "Please add this feature," just like they do with The Sims, but at the same time, they also frequently say, "Why isn't even the basics done? You should refer to The Sims."
The former is simply about ideas, but the latter arises when even the basic functions that should naturally be present in a life simulation are not provided.

I also tell them to refer to The Sims when I find clumsiness in Inzoi's animations or basic aspects.
However, I argue that copying The Sims is not desirable in areas where Inzoi's identity should be showcased (e.g., the personality system).
This is because these are precisely the areas where Inzoi's unique ideas should be displayed.

Well, almost no game exists without borrowing the basic foundations of its genre. That’s what creates the similarity between dozens of games within the same category. But everything beyond that is identity.
And what I was talking about wasn’t whether borrowing genre fundamentals is good or bad, it’s that inZOI started removing its own distinctive features (like city management, karma, the personality system, and even the UI) in favor of Sims‑style solutions simply because “they work there”. That’s the path of least resistance. Referencing = fixing clumsiness.

Before I read any further, I want to say that I completely agree with this. I bought Inzoi without delving too deeply into the initial concept, attracted by two things: the exceptional graphics, but above all the fact that it was a life simulator. The only life simulator I've ever played is The Sims, so that was my point of reference. Not that the game has to be THE SAME as The Sims, but it's in the same genre. Furthermore, if, in addition to the life simulator gameplay, there are possibilities that are similar to GTA or other types of games, I have nothing against it.

Same - I'm loving the crime gameplay for example, and it's great to be able to drive cars and bikes around the city, but I see those as a nice bonus rather than the 'meat and potatoes' of the gameplay. TBH I wouldn't particularly care if those features were missing or saved for a DLC, as long as the basic life-simulation gameplay ends up solid and satisfying. If the devs can achieve all those things at once, all the better!

I'd just like to add that I'd always thought the audience Inzoi was aiming to capture was Sims players, past and present, because I think there are a lot of disappointed players who only play it because it's the only true Life Simulator (as I understand it). Not the only audience, obviously, but the largest.
I imagine they'll know this, though; I don't think they launched such an ambitious game without market analysis.
Personally, I didn't understand it was aiming to be a hybrid between GTA and Sims; otherwise, I wouldn't have bought it from EA; I would have waited.
The perfect game of my dreams, which I think requires too many resources to make, would be a hybrid between Inzoi and Cities Skylines.

Point_YellowSince car theft will be possible, it would also be really fun if we could steal or rent scooters and bicycles that are placed around the city.
Point_YellowI think it would be very useful to have a toggle in the UI to hide the minimap directly.
Point_YellowFor planting, harvesting, etc., I think the animation should repeat for each plot of soil, instead of happening magically all at once. What players usually want to avoid is having to click many times, not the animation itself. It could also be interesting to unlock farming tools as you level up that help automate or speed up these tasks (small tillers, sprinklers, seed spreaders, harvesting tools, etc.). And of course, the option to hire a gardener would also be great.

Point_YellowSeasons: I would love the option to configure them to 14 days instead of 7, so players could choose between both durations. (I usually play with aging turned off)

PD: In the Discord servers of other games, I’ve seen them use a Discord feature that automatically shows dates and times adjusted to each user’s time zone. It would be really helpful if something like that could be implemented when announcing upcoming updates.

Hi Kjun! To make the Zois feel more human and complex, I suggest adding distinct psychological phases to different life stages:

Rebellious Adolescence: Teenagers could have a "Rebellious" phase where they are prone to disobedience, pranks, and causing trouble, adding challenge to parenting.

Mid-life Crisis: Middle-aged Zois could experience a "Crisis" phase, manifesting as increased nagging, higher anxiety levels, or sudden changes in desires/hobbies.

Senior Life Details: I would love to see seniors being able to use walking canes. It would add a lot of realism and dignity to their movement and character design.

These emotional and physical details would make the journey from youth to old age feel truly unique and meaningful!

I used to be neutral about many things (especially “power” action), but every time I imagine the shared future we could have in the game, I’m completely in favor of it. And those city‑builder‑style elements for Canvastown are pure one‑love for me too.

No, everything inside that theme is meant to be applied separately to each town, just like in City Appearance, but it could also be used as a template.

About the Sims+GTA (realistic action) – ppl came up with that themselves, and it actually boosted the game and carried it on the hype train. Whether it’s clickbait or just for fun, coincidences aren’t really coincidences. As I can see, people ask for this every brainstorm and keep comparing. This whole vibe is a decades‑long dream finally happening, and if it drives sales, the market will sort it out anyway.

While playing, information about Zois randomly appears even when I am not hovering my mouse over them.
This draws my attention away and makes it difficult to stay focused on the gameplay. It also frequently blocks the screen.

During gameplay, I only want to see the information I choose to view.

Please adjust the position of on-screen messages such as “Saving” and prompts like “Tap to use,” which currently appear in the center of the screen.

As an observation-based game, there are too many elements that interfere with observation.

Hi Kjun,

I’d like to share a few ideas and suggestions for the development of inZOI:

Motorcycles should not be usable inside lots, such as prisons, stores, or houses. This would help maintain realism and immersion.

I’ve noticed that some Zois are placing dishes in the kitchen sink in a strange or unintended way. It would be good to have a system that prevents this behavior or corrects it.

In Cahaya, it would be a great idea to allow players to use a raft. This would be especially useful for players who want to create a “castaway” challenge on the island. It would add a lot of immersion if the Zoi could build one or if there were a raft available on the beach to return to the city afterward.

It would be interesting to have a variety of teas, along with the ability to plant and harvest herbs to make them.

Adding a sofa bed could be a nice and functional furniture option.

I noticed a translation issue in Portuguese: “violão” (acoustic guitar) is being translated as “guitarra,” which is incorrect.

Something I honestly didn’t like was the planting system shown in the latest video. The idea of clicking once and having multiple plots automatically planted at the same time breaks immersion and feels unrealistic. In my opinion, it would be much better to click once and have an animation where the Zoi plants each plot sequentially.

Alternatively, for players who find planting too repetitive, a simpler solution would be to let them adjust the time or speed settings. Making the process overly easy removes the sense of effort and also reduces the value of potentially hiring a gardener to take care of the plants.

These changes could help improve immersion, realism, and gameplay depth.

Hi Kjun! 👋

I wanted to share some feedback about traveling in inZOI. I’m having trouble getting two Zois to use the same vehicle together. When I try to have both enter a car, one often gets out as soon as the other sits down. The same happens with motorcycles, and even when I use the “invite to join” type of interaction, it seems to make the first Zoi leave instead.

Right now it feels a bit unintuitive and difficult to manage group travel. It would be amazing if this system could be improved so two Zois can reliably and easily travel together in one vehicle without these conflicts.

Thank you for all your work on the game — I’m really enjoying it overall! 🙏

It seems that the update is really great. I hope more practical life-based content can be added. When I come back after a long time of inactivity, I can continue playing. The game is becoming more and more user-friendly. The care for babies has been improved, including bathing, brushing teeth, and drying hair. The behavior of the refrigerator is getting better and better. More simulation details are presented, and the demand panel is more accurate! The behavior logic is gradually becoming smoother. For running a business, I really hope that more reasonable simulation details can be added. This is a problem that should exist in simulation games.

Currently, in the base game of the game, there is still a problem. The cooking recipes are not complete. For example, all foods are made by mixing different ingredients. Now Zoi pretends to water the indoor plants. Why can't we take care of the indoor plants! Since there are cafes, business operations, and people who have the need to drink water, Zoi can't pretend to drink water every day, at her free time, at home, or in the business premises. She can't do housework, use the cabinets, the toilet, the bathroom, water stains, etc. This is a lack of the details that should exist, a part of simulating life!

Title: Request for Active Military Career.

​Suggestion: Please consider changing the Military Career from a "Rabbit Hole" to an Active (Playable) Career, similar to the Firefighter or Idol Trainee roles.

​Why it would be good:

​Gameplay: Players could follow their Zoi to the base to complete daily physical training, obstacle courses, or equipment maintenance.

​Social: It adds a location for unique Zoi interactions (drills, dining halls, or barracks life).

​Immersion: For cities like Dowon and Bliss Bay, having a functional military base thvat we can actually visit would make the world feel much more complete and realistic.

Zois could get deployed to other states or countries for a period of time, where they would be away from home (absent) and receive a deployment bonus and sometimes they might even be sent to war but there could also be a small chance of getting a notification that the Zoi died in battle, followed by another Zoi showing up to deliver their belongings to the family, the family could receive some kind of military compensation bonus. It would also be awesome if deployments were announced a few days in advance with a big on-screen notification, similar to when a skill levels up or a baby is born. When they come back, you can organize a welcome-home party organized by the family or the military. Zois could earn medals when they rank up and lose them if they get demoted. And for extra realism, they could even develop post-traumatic stress, after war deployments, which could make them depressed, require therapy, or affect their behavior. It would be really cool if they can get in some kind of addiction after that tho, haha i know im thinking way over the top

I hope since they're planning to have the old graphics settings back for high end computers that the pop ins are also fixed and are like how it used to be. Seeing cars way back in the distance driving, seeing tiny cars and people walking around while in a high rise building. Also close/ nearby objects pop in are still very bad :/ I hope it is fixed soon

Delivery Job Cars & Car decorations

  • I think it would be so cool if zois could have multiple types of vehicles they can choose from and customize for themselves. Such as adding trucks, a mini van, a Scooby Doo Voltswagen van, and delivery trucks similar to UPS.
  • By allowing us to add and attach 3D printed objects and re-sizeable wall stickers (that are in buy mode now) to decorate moving cars with, and this wouldn't cause the 3D printed objects not 'attach'. So we could have a bright neon orange car and then create a doughnut using the 3D printer in game, to sit on top of the car and also a wall sticker logo we attach on each side of the doors.
  • Modding that allows us to recolor the interior of a car

Hospital Playable & New Gameplay

  • I'm hoping with hospitals its a true hospital. There's a designated emergency room and in-patient areas for zois, and it's zois who are actually hurt and sick and not just random zois coming in with coughs lol though that is acceptable. A maternity ward, surgery ward and a ICU area once they come out to recuperate one instance this would be good are zois getting run over by cars or motorcycles, outpatient surgery/services, children's ward.
  • Seeing illnesses progress and worsen. Zois would now express they dont feel well to others or zois would also notice your zoi looks sick having some ask if they're alright or want to stay away from them in fear of catching it.
  • I don't know how others feel about this but I think having elderly zoi pass away in their sleep along with old age that's currently there would be nice
  • Zois can volunteer for the hospital and visit sick patients
  • Zois can get broken legs, arms including sprained ankles playing sports or during other activities
  • Seeing doctors and nurses attending to patients in live mode
  • Ambulances picking up hurt zois in real live mode time

Car Customization & New Features Needed

  • Radios & different radio stations playing different songs like in CyberPunk 2077 here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U30EUcW8Lfg and would also give us the ability to turn off copyrighted music in the settings.
  • With car radios we'd be able to hear other cars drive by playing music
  • Recolor the interior of all cars
  • Zois can come pick up other zois when they are to hangout or go on a date
  • I'd like to see convertible top cars
  • When we hit a car we should have the ability to continue to drive off but this means we can be reported by witnesses
  • Change the color tint of car windows and how dark they are
  • Car crashes resulting in some injuries whiplash/brusies cuts on face/ broken arm or leg or both/ damaged cars

Wild life and Insects during seasons and depending on regions

  • mosquitos, butterflies, ladybugs, ants, flies, catapillars, moths,
  • frogs, mice, rats, snakes, river turtles, different variations of birds, crows, chipmunks, bears, cyotes, raccoons
  • If you're in the city you might not see bears or racoons but if you're in a rural landscape you just might. Some small animals like frogs or river turtles could be caught as pets, including things like butterflies.
  • I hope some animals are aggressive and not docile like alligators cyotes if they're seen out in the wild and zois react naturally to them.

Being able to cook with another zoi. A "drive around" option and a "swim around option"

Once more NPCs are allowed to swim in the pools a lifeguard career would be amazing! I noticed the chair and it would be so cool if you needed to have a certain swim skills in order to help save a zoi from drowning

The ability to make our own custom uniforms for jobs

Everytime I walk past the beach in blissbay I'm always sad to see the skateboard park not functional 😕 I hope it becomes functional too. Bigger stomachs for pregnancies would be great!

I’d like to share some feedback about the graphics in inZOI. 🤍

I’ve been noticing for a while that in city areas where sunlight doesn’t directly hit, the visuals look quite flat, desaturated, and lacking depth. It almost feels like there is little to no proper shading or lighting contrast in those shadowed areas. The environment, streets, and even characters can appear somewhat dull and “washed out,” with a slightly bluish-gray tone.

This is especially noticeable with trees, both on the current city map and in live mode at a distance. They often look flat, with very little shading, and their colors tend to blend into the surroundings instead of standing out as full 3D objects.

Interestingly, the current city map itself has a similar flat and desaturated look. However, in your recent development video, the updated map looks much more like a true 3D model, with better top-down lighting and more visible shading on buildings. It feels much more alive and visually rich.

That made me think — it would be amazing if the same kind of lighting and shading improvements from the new map could also be applied to shadowed areas in live mode. Right now, those areas (including characters, like background NPCs) can look noticeably lower quality compared to sunlit scenes.

For context, I’m playing on ultra settings with all advanced lighting features enabled (global illumination, realistic shadows, etc.), so I’m a bit concerned that this issue might persist even for high-end settings.

I truly hope that the map improvements also reflect broader visual upgrades in live mode, because the difference in quality is very noticeable. The new map already looks fantastic, and it would be great to see that level of depth and lighting applied across the whole game.

The Cahaya update has already brought back the sun's reflection, although it's not exactly like it was before. But it was a small return. In 2024, the clouds cast shadows on the ground, which gave even more depth to the scene. I'd love to see that return someday, with the infinite detail we had before. I understand why it changed, however the lighting changes had a big impact, I hope this improves in the next update and I'd love to see what Inzoi would look like with the new DLSS5! Hi Kjun

I’d like to share a few suggestions for the game’s development. I believe it would greatly enhance realism and immersion if there were a wider variety of body types for characters. For example, very slim Zois with visible ribs, muscular Zois with defined muscles and visible veins, and heavier Zois with more detailed features such as double chins, stretch marks, looser skin, and sagging bellies.

I understand the team has already made progress in this area, but I would really appreciate it if these body models could be developed even further.

Additionally, small everyday details could make the world feel more alive—such as elderly Zois feeding pigeons in public squares or participating in group activities designed for seniors.

I really wish when our Zois drive on auto they wouldn't park down the street from their destination. It makes no sense why they stop so far away from their destination. It takes too much time because they end up walking down the street or crossing streets to get there, or taking the bus lol why can't they just stop and park in front of the actual destination? I hate using auto drive due to this but we don't have gps. PLEASE FIX THIS! Also please allow us to have our cars parked outside again and be able to park anywhere we want

I also hope the taekwondo place becomes functional also random note for the future but id love if helicopters are added and functional in the game. I noticed the helicopter pad on the roof of a city building

Yeah, I really like that idea, especially the part about friend groups having their own identity and not just being random labels. It would make social life feel more structured and realistic.

I think it could go even further if those groups weren’t fixed. Like, groups could evolve over time depending on who joins or leaves. A “nerd” group could slowly turn more into a “tech/creative” group if new members bring different interests, for example.

It would also be interesting if there were actual tensions between groups. Not necessarily bullying, but things like rivalries, stereotypes, or social barriers that make it harder (but more rewarding) to move between them.

Another cool layer could be reputation inside each group. You’re not just “in” the group, you have a role in it — like leader, outsider, trendsetter, etc — and that affects how others react to you.

And instead of just perks, group dynamics could unlock unique interactions, events, or storylines. Like specific parties, conflicts, or opportunities that only happen if you’re part of certain social circles.

If done right, this could make high school gameplay feel way less scripted and way more like an actual social ecosystem.

It shouldn’t become too easy or instant, because that removes the challenge.

Instead, it would make more sense if the difficulty stays, but you get more ways to handle it as you progress. Like being able to hire other Zois to help on the farm, because doing everything alone shouldn’t be sustainable long-term.

And also having access to agricultural machines would be really important. Not to remove the work, but to scale it. So early game is more manual and slower, and later you expand with workers and equipment, making it feel more realistic.

That way the game keeps the effort and realism, but also gives you progression and growth instead of just repeating the same tasks forever.The game should have that option in the settings, like a proper difficulty system where you choose how you want to play.

For me, I don’t want the gameplay to become too easy or automatic. I like when things take time and effort, especially with systems like farming. It makes it feel more real and rewarding.

So having different modes would be perfect, because players who want a simpler experience can choose that, but people like me can keep the challenge. Difficulty System in inZOI: Choose How to Play

The game should have this option in the settings, like a real difficulty system, where each player decides how they want to experience the game.

For me, I don’t want the gameplay to be easy or automatic. I like when things take time and effort, especially systems like farming or business management. It makes everything feel more real and rewarding.

Having different modes would be perfect:

Players who want something more relaxed can choose an easy mode.

Players who want a challenge, like me, can keep the experience harder, managing everything manually, dealing with heavy work, and only later growing naturally with employees or machines.

This way, the game doesn’t lose realism, and progression really matters, instead of everything being handed to you.

Proposed Difficulty Modes:

RECRUIT – For players who want to focus on the story

Sandbox/relaxed mode. Needs decrease slowly, money comes in easily, promotions are fast.

Ideal for players who just want to decorate their home and take nice photos without worrying about survival.

SOLDIER – Balanced experience

You need to work, but there’s still time for leisure.

Constant progression, with real consequences if you slack off.

The standard simulator: moderate effort, but fair rewards.

HARDCORE – The ultimate test, no respawns

No second chances: lose your job? Lose your home.

Full manual effort: no automation. Eating or living luxuriously requires hard work.

Status Maintenance with AI:

The AI checks if you maintain the standards of your chosen social group (Preppy, Dark Academia, Luxury, etc.).

Attendance at the right places, appearance, studies, and style choices all affect your status.

Failing means being socially downgraded or excluded from the group.

Here, you can go socially and financially bankrupt. Every choice carries real weight.

The game looked an order of magnitude better, and if going back to the graphics, then to the level of 2024. Even with the sun fairly low on the horizon, the render doesn’t flood everything with that yellow tint and dirty mie scattering. And the golden hour, I assume, isn’t overly long and transitions straight into a beautiful orange sunset. There are more Global Illumination samples, surface cache shading, lots of secondary bounced light from overexposed surfaces, the asphalt specular is tuned correctly; cloud shadows, sun shafts/attenuation, irises, lens flares probably the standard UE ones, but they add a lot of atmosphere Icon_Heart

I compared the 5.4 and 5.6 screenshots and also noticed that chromatic aberration was removed (it was there on 5.4). The image also became more colourful, but also more reddish and flat in the shadows, though it used to have light‑and‑shade definition. Same brightness, but there are exposure issues in the shadows, some areas are completely black, others are washed out + distant trees. I hope they fix all of this in March.

I started my morning by reading your posts and discussing them with the team, and now I’d like to respond.

This week, many of you shared your thoughts and feedback on inZOI’s latest update. The main topics included introductions to new features, requests for gameplay improvements, reports on bugs and system issues, and suggestions regarding the game’s future direction.

First of all, thank you for the many kind words about the new features, such as the parking system, car theft, and children’s tricycles. The vehicle theft feature and the city parking system, in particular, received a very enthusiastic response, and we truly appreciate that. We were also glad to see positive feedback on ideas such as expanding the cinema feature, adding a job interview system, and broadening the range of business locations. That said, we also know these features still feel somewhat incomplete. We will continue improving them.

Requests for Game System and Bug Fixes
Many users asked us to invest more resources into the game’s core systems, especially autonomy, character personality, the job system, and bug fixing. As soon as the March update is complete, we plan to move directly into the 5.6 engine update and memory optimization. In April, more than half of our developers will be focusing on fixing bugs. I am truly sorry that we have not been able to address the bugs you are experiencing more quickly.psycat_cahaya

To speak honestly about why we have been pushing such aggressive updates: because this is our first time making a game like this, there were many mistakes in the original game design. So for now, our plan is to continue building the major features that are important to our vision, and then immediately follow up with a strong focus on bug fixing and stabilization. Especially after summer, we plan to focus mainly on content that does not hurt stability, such as furniture, clothing, and improvements to systems that already exist, while putting most of our manpower into bug fixing and overall stability.

I also take the current incompleteness of the systems and the impact of bugs on the game experience very seriously. I always feel sorry toward all of you.

Strengthening Social Interactions and Character Personality

There were many great suggestions on how to make NPCs and player characters feel more distinctive. You shared ideas about style identity systems, friend groups and social dynamics, and more varied emotional expression and behavior. We also received a lot of feedback about more realistic social interactions, such as expanding military careers, adding police chases, and strengthening workplace relationships. We will continue reinforcing and developing the relationships between Zois.

Requests for Graphics and Interface Improvements

Some of you feel that, compared to the game’s earlier reveals, the current graphics look flatter and less vibrant, and many asked us to return to or improve toward the previous visual quality. We did address some of those graphics requests in the March update. I was worried that these changes might negatively affect optimization, but fortunately, our internal evaluation suggests that both optimization and graphics have improved. I do worry a little, though, about whether this will fully meet your expectations.

There were also many comments about confusion caused by the UI changes, requests to bring back the previous UI, and suggestions to add an in-interface action search feature. This is currently in development, and we will make sure to update it by May. I’m sorry~~.😢 😢

Increasing Gameplay Variety and Realism

You also shared many suggestions related to vehicles such as cars, motorcycles, and scooters, including theft, parking, and expanded customization features. There were also ideas for a more realistic hospital system, stronger farming and natural environment elements, and the introduction of difficulty settings. In addition, many of you asked for features such as directly driving vehicles or traveling together with companions, more diverse social events, and expanded school systems.

We also saw feedback about the farming and gardening system. Some of you felt that handling multiple crops all at once reduces immersion, and requested animations that let players manage each crop sequentially. Ah, when I read that, I thought, “Of course, this feedback was going to come up!” We will prepare improvements for that as well.

Discussion on Communication and Direction Between the Community and the Dev Team

Within the community, some concerns were raised that the development team may be swayed too much by player feedback and could lose its original vision and identity. I want to say this clearly: inZOI will follow its own path. Your opinions are valuable, and we listen carefully and take them into account when making decisions. But the inZOI team is made up of many passionate people working hard to create the game we truly want to make. Our dream may not always be the same as what you imagine, but I hope you can trust that we are moving sincerely toward that dream.

Many of you also emphasized the importance of maintaining a “Fundamentals First” principle by focusing on the core systems and building a long-term, systematic development strategy. There were also strong calls for surveys and more transparent communication so that we can better balance the wide range of player needs.
As always… it really feels like some of you are part of the dev team already. We are currently preparing a survey, so please take part when it is released.

Other Improvements and Feature Suggestions

  • Automation tools for farming, such as sprinklers and seed spreaders
  • Adding ticket purchases and audience reaction animations in cinemas
  • Strengthening individual bank accounts and family finance systems
  • Expanding character appearances, hairstyles, and emotional expressions
  • More detailed and realistic in-game action animations
  • Improving interface convenience, such as scroll bars and action search

Once again, I enjoyed reading your posts this week. This month’s update feels especially meaningful because it marks inZOI’s first anniversary, and it has made me think about many things. It really makes me realize that creating a life simulation game for the first time was such a fearless challenge. If someone turned back time and asked me to do it all over again, I think I would need some time to think about it.

Even so, I never imagined that I would be having such long conversations with all of you like this. Thank you, truly.

However, because kjun continues to communicate with the community and clearly shares the direction of the game, it makes us grow even more attached to it.

Yes exactly this is what i was saying thanks for wording it better because these types of relationship systems only work when they are done well and in realistic fun creative ways... when we have to micro manage and imagine up all of these situations in a "life simulation game" then it misses the whole point of the name... thats why i hope inzoi keeps adding these meetup scenarios but also adds dynamic relationship systems (romantic AND friendly) it would add a much needed depth to the game bc i think its fine that we want the good aspects from other sims games in inzoi we're not saying we just want a "Sims 4 2.0" we just want a game that takes the best aspects out of all the sims franchise and combines it to make something better thats basically what all sims players have wanted for years...

I would suggest that you bring back AR Talk, and you are Bora from the AR Company, and to have Psycat as a chatbot. Look, the only reason why I bring up AR Talk is because in the game Inzoi, you play as the Intern and overseer Bora who is hired by the Ar Company to look after Zois. The AR Talk feature is a system where Bora while you are in the world of Inzoi can talk to Psycat, Henry, the CEO, and other members of the AR Company to get help and tips on how to play the game. It was a good feature that was removed for early access and has been replaced with the Psycat Guide we have in the game. So I see no harm in bringing back this feature for Inzoi.

Overall, I’m glad about the response. It partially confirmed my assumptions about the pipelines/workflow behind the delay in bug fixes due to the redesign of core systems. It made me feel more confident that the game’s development direction follows the team’s own vision, and that the request for communication in the form of surveys has been acknowledged. Hello Kjun,

‼️Every time I check, I look for any update about “distance culling,” but there is none. Please provide an On/Off option for the “distance culling” feature. During gameplay, vehicles and Zois suddenly disappear at a certain distance, and it looks really bad. The scenery appears empty. After a certain distance, streets and roads feel completely empty and lifeless. This breaks the original vision of inZOI.

Please bring a solution to this issue!

No mention of adding functionality to the objects in the game like playgrounds volleyball courts etc. or adding the waterslide animation from months ago to the game finally

By bugs do you mean the core systems like travel system or do you mean little glitches. Please do not take half the team away omg 😭😭 this is lowk really upsetting bc the chances of getting everything on the roadmap like the grocery system etc will be harder and take longer to implement if half the team is gone

I don't know if you frequent the forum, but there are tons of bug reports; I've reported several myself. Since I'm not an expert, I don't know if they're actually bugs or a faulty system, but there are so many things that don't work as they should.
For example, bugs related to the wedding celebration and subsequent interactions, in the agenda scheduling, Zois dying because they're stuck by objects on the floor, various malfunctions in commercial activities, and countless others, which contribute to turning people off the game. What good is a new feature if it doesn't work or works poorly? I'm actually very happy that they employ the necessary people to make everything work as it should.

Yeah no I'm not, I rarely experience any bugs except ppl walking through the air sometimes.

I do think there would be a system to get rid of some of the bugs ppl are reporting but not the whole half lot of the team..? 😭um

Ig it doesn't make sense to me bc I personally don't experience bugs a lot and even though I don't experience yes I think there should be fixing

but also the way this might make the main roadmap take another year.

bc half the team is gone instead of fixing bugs simultaneously like they had been doing with the big bug fixed list during the December update or the old hotfixes that fixed the bugs over time

However, it seems that, with all this going on, you've overlooked the tanning issue. The Zoi have the interaction but don't actually tan, plus the buffs, etc... I've already written at least four posts about this and haven't received any feedback, so if you could provide some, that would be fantastic, thank you very much ❤️ 🙏 🙏 🙏

Praying for these features in the future:

  • able to have different hairstyles and make-up for each outfit category
  • more than 1 outfit for each category
  • able to stack accessories = earrings, rings, necklaces, piercings and socks (example: I want a lip piercing but also a nose piercing, right now you can only have 1 piercing)
  • better mod support (I don't want to have to limit myself, my PC can easily handle it - there's many pretty things in the in-game mod hub but you can't even have a lot of them without the game crashing)
  • "BROWSE MODS" tab in-game: "Download" button directly in the list for each mod without having to open them individually to download
  • option to change your ZOI after starting the game (like their face and body etc, maybe as a cheat?)

Thank you Kjun, I have all the faith in your team and the hard work you put into this game will pay off in the future when more and more people realize how amazing this game already has become (and will continue to become even more!)

I understand the feeling of second guessing whether you'd jump into making this game all over again if you had the chance. The life sim genre is a tough nut to crack, it's for a reason the competition was so minimal or even non existent for the Sims. Others came before you and perished (the Life by You team), and there are many doubts about your future competitor Paralives being able to live up to the task as well. You are validated in feeling like the life sim genre is almost impossible to get right. But know that as someone who has played life sims for over 25 years now, I strongly believe Inzoi is doing it right and will eventually come out on top.

I am thankful you decided to go on this crazy journey even if some days it might feel like an impossible challenge. Keep up the amazing work, don't forget to take care of your health (physical and mental), and we'll be here to provide our thoughts and love your game Icon_Heart Kjun_Heart

Btw, I for one am really happy with the effort and man hours you're gonna put into bugfixing and stabilizing the game. It'll be a breath of fresh air to have a stable, well functioning life sim to play that doesnt hang together with ductape needing a ton of mods to fix everything (cough unlike the sims cough).

Completely agree with all those who said worry about the core systems first " autonomy, character personality, the job system" it can be easy to be distracting with the 100s if not 1000s of different request but if the characters are not fun I really don't care how many spots they can farm at once. I think now your top priority should be bug fixes, character personality especially unique traits actions and animations think theft traits like rulebreaker but everything else should all be that unique and drive unique gameplay traits should make gameplay feel different not always as extreme as the crime system and the two traits tied to it but something that's noticeable. I do hope when you move to stability this summer you take some time to work on the character assets that are extremely lacking like male beards with some with actual fullness and more variety of styles and hairstyles/texture that looks natural to Europeans then maybe fill out the clothing categories where its got two or so options.

I would suggest that you bring back AR Talk, and you are Bora from the AR Company, and to have Psycat as a chatbot. Look, the only reason why I bring up AR Talk is because in the game Inzoi, you play as the Intern and overseer Bora who is hired by the Ar Company to look after Zois. The AR Talk feature is a system where Bora while you are in the world of Inzoi can talk to Psycat, Henry, the CEO, and other members of the AR Company to get help and tips on how to play the game. It was a good feature that was removed for early access and has been replaced with the Psycat Guide we have in the game. So I see no harm in bringing back this feature for Inzoi.

Hi Kjun, thank you for taking the time to write and for continuing to engage with the community.

There’s one important topic that still hasn’t been addressed: modding.

With the move to 5.6, mods are currently unavailable for that version, and we only have vague information on when or how they’ll return.

Could you please clarify:
• Whether modding support will return soon after 5.6 and how it will happen.
• Whether** it will remain open** (e.g. CurseForge) or move toward a different system.

If there are plans to change how modding works, it would be really important to involve the community early, as many players strongly value open modding (we don’t want a marketplace like the Sims 4, not even sims 4 players want it).

We completely understand that engine updates and stability are priorities, but some clarity on this would go a long way.

Thank you for all you and the other devs do for inzoi. I know nothing about code and developing so it's gotta be very hard. The way you communicate with players and try to balance the new stuff vs others wanting core stuff fixed has to be incredibly hard. I love new features but I also would like core stuff to be fleshed out. I'm not sure if this is a realistic request, but for every new feature added, maybe a core feature is fixed/expanded. That way it keeps the game fresh but also stabilized. Maybe take this request with a grain of salt as I have no experience with developing. 😭 Please stop apologizing, the last thing players want is for you and the team to be burnt out and overwhelmed from requests. I'm grateful for the amount of stuff we have so far in a base game and also the consistent open communication. Us players have to be patient and let the team cook. 🔥Please don't stress yourselves out. The game has come a lonnnnng way and I'm excited for the future of the game !!

Don't get me wrong, bugs are more fundamental to singleplayer and the game I'm not saying they shouldn't fix bugs at all.

The reason why they are probably pulling more team members to work on bug fixes is to help stabilize the base game first.

Kjun has said numerous times in the past that the primary focus for this part of the year, is “fundamentals first”… so they will not be adding a bunch of new gameplay or game mechanics just yet.

They need to really focus on what has already been implemented and expand on the current systems. It’s not just about “bug fixes”… it’s about fixing the current animations, Gameplay, visuals and adding more depth to the characters. Which will take a significant amount of time.

If they rush to just continue to add more and more content on top of a broken / unfinished foundation, it will just lead to more issues in the future… just like how The Sims 4 has become a buggy mess, because of EA cutting corners.

I definitely agree!! Since this system has been removed, the intro scenes and Psycat don’t have any real significance or impact to the game anymore.

The entire “intern” concept is really cool and interesting and helps to add more lore to the game… So, I really hope they add more gameplay using those elements.

Even something like having the player access a “work email” system which lets you directly interact with Psycat and Henri…

Tutorials could be given in a “text message or email format”

Or when major things happen within your gameplay (good or bad) messages could be received from the supervisors.

As we play through the game, the player should be able to discover more information about the AR Company and its purpose.

Special NPC’s and families with their own lore and story lines should be present within each world.. that way players have the option of just hopping into the game, without having to create a brand new character, for each play through.

A lot of life sim games have terrible base game hair and clothing, shoes, etc. but you have such an amazing foundation to really push great and creative fashions through Inzoi. To be honest, I don’t really care at all about the AR Company metaplot. If the devs are going to focus on that, I’d rather see them expand the religious aspects in-game, like with the cat temple in Cahaya.

@silver basin you can't build new content on top of a core system that doesn't function as intended because it is riddled with bugs. I get that coming from Sims you probably are used to being bombarded with content, but those games are borderline unplayable without mods because the devs never bother to actually spend some time stabilizing their game before they pile new things on top. You're extremely lucky to not have run into any bugs. For me the game is currently unplayable because my Zois keep trying to kill themselves dropping food and sleep to take care of bugged out babies that ask for a new diaper every 5 minutes. I have to watch them like a hawk because the adults cancel ALL their actions to take care of these babies even if they're about to drop dead from starvation or sleep deprivation.

This is just one example of bugs that make the game unplayable. It is important they address these issues before moving on to new sparkly things because who is gonna play the game if none of the content they develop functions as intended? Theyre gonna bug crunch for one month in April, it's not like they're permanently going to cut the team in half you need to calm down (and not block people just because you are trying to minimize the downvotes on your outcries to try and manipulate the public opinion).

I’m writing this simply because there are both the emotional side (inspiration, creative flow) and the rational, pragmatic side, and bug‑fixing is usually not the most pleasant development cycle for creative people in general. Naturally, decisions like this are never made lightly, they require rational management, the right timing, evaluating risks from all sides, and so on.

As players, we’ve expressed both positions, and I’m sure the devs are trying their best to balance them. Earlier I encouraged everyone to think not as “I” but as “we” (that was in the context of player data collection and surveys), and I still think that’s a realistic and productive approach.

Let’s wait for the surveys and the different kinds of updates coming our way, and the upcoming update will probably take our minds off things a bit anyway. Wishing everyone peace and a wonderful day.

Kjun thank you for the update!!! I am glad you and the team take our feedback seriously! I was happy to see you mention buying tickets at the movie theater because I like that idea a lot. I also hope we can buy movie snacks as well and "watch movie with other zois" I don't know if there is a plan for custom movies, but I hope so. Kjun you mentioned after summer working on clothes and furniture. I am requesting long tunic tops and I will add pictures of examples. I know this is your first game like this, but I truly believe Inzoi has a great future ahead and I'm not giving up on that. Between the teams dream and our feedback I know Inzoi will be unique in this genre. Some feedback may be positive or negative, but it takes all to improve. ❤️ 😊

I think a 50/50 split on bug-fixing and new content is reasonable atm, honestly. There are some serious issues with the game that aren't necessarily coding glitches, but unintended consequences of changes introduced by the devs: for example, the instancing of public buildings has made it very difficult to enter those buildings with point-and-click controls (because you can't click inside the buildings and choose 'go here' any longer). Then there's the small annoyances I'm constantly running into in every playthrough: animation glitches (particularly in dialogue), random NPCs trying to join your private conversation with a friend or date, queued actions getting 'stuck' for long periods and eventually timing out, other actions getting auto-cancelled because the relevant emotion no longer applies, etc.

All these things are tolerable in early access but the longer they go on, the more they're going to pile up and destabilise the game. I've often argued that an EA game needs a balance between content additions and bug-fixing, and right now I think it's fair to start placing more emphasis on the bug-fixing side - even if it does mean some new features get delayed a bit. 🥲

Your playstyle probably also influences your chances of encountering bugs or dysfunctional game mechanics.
Caring for babies and toddlers is one of them. I had a family with five young children (due, among other things, to the game's controlled births), and it was a real nightmare.
Even the daily routine isn't working properly; there's even a related poll on the forum, with Zoi continuing to perform useless and even wasteful tasks (cooking food they don't eat, etc.). Maybe those who play 48-minute games don't notice, but those who play with longer days do.
I averaged 80 hours of gameplay over the two weeks on Steam, and now it's down to 20, mostly spent building or posting outfits, precisely because of these dysfunctional mechanics that ultimately become so annoying that they put you off playing.
So thank you, thank you, thank you, Kjun, for choosing to listen to the players who complain about these things on the forum.

I only think it’s not an instance, since the building exists in the same world, without any loading screen behind, and it fully preserves the camera position and all world elements. So, I think it’s just HLOD + interior culling/streaming – an efficient solution that only needs an additional “Enter building” interaction on the shell. Many didn’t like the collapsing walls at 50m, and the game had to load the full building interior (1k more pieces of data, as Kjun said) just from walking down the street 🙂

Just another small piece of feedback, but I would love to see a more realistic pregnancy growth. It seems that they look like they've just put on a bit of weight, especially when they are in their swimsuits and you can see the belly. I would love to see a more pronounced, rounder belly near the end of the pregnancy!

I think a core/existing feature that I'd like to see improvement on is the genetic system. I feel like children resemble too much of one parent when it should be a blend, or maybe inheriting physical traits from relatives. Speaking of relatives, more in depth family tree and relationship labeling. For example, if my zoi comes across their cousin, they are listed as "relatives". I would like to see more specific labeling: cousin, aunt, uncle, step mom, step dad, step brother, step sister, brother in law., mother in law (all in laws), second cousin, great aunt, etc. I would love to see more family dynamics, positive and negative as families aren't always picture perfect. What really inspired this was me being nosy and looking into one of my zoi's extended family member's relationships and I saw that a brother and sister (cousins to my zoi) had a very strained relationship even though they don't reside in the same household. The brother had a tense relationship with his sister's husband. I thought it was an interesting dynamic. It's fun to use my imagination to explain why this could've happened, but it would be really nice if the game generated specific memories that shape these dynamics. Another existing feature I'd like to see fixed/improved is a zoi prioritizing driving their own purchased vehicle instead of taking public transport. Something I'd love to see is more immersive nature, such as leaves falling in autumn, realistic snow accumulation, more weather patterns/disasters. More in depth and meaningful and impactful conversations and interactions between zois which would fit in great with the memory system you are implementing. It's hard to put into words what I mean, but the best way to describe is that I feel like the interactions sometimes feel a bit robotic. I would like to see certain interactions impact the behavior and feelings of another zoi.

A core feature that I feel is a bit frustrating is being locked to one town. I would like seamless moving between towns without losing relationships. For example. I'm playing in Dowon, but I want to move to Bliss Bay for a change in scenery, but because I'm 4 generations into my legacy, I'm forced to stay in Dowon. Soon in my legacy I will be playing a character based on a mermaid (using my imagination ofc lol), but I would love a seamless move to Cahaya because what would a mermaid be doing in dowon ?? LOL. I would just like to be able to move around while keeping relationships in tact or being forced to start a new game. On top of that, sometimes I like having my zois take vacations, so it would be nice to not pause relationships in our starting world. On the topic of vacations, I think there should be a functional hotel in every world because buying a property to temporarily live in is a bit unrealistic. Back to the topic of moving, please allow us to move with babies and infants. A core bug that I would love to see fixed is nonplayed zois and npc's neglecting their needs. I've had several instances where my zoi's relatives ran away because they weren't taking care of their needs. It makes playing very stressful because I feel like I have to hop between homes to make sure they are taking care of themselves. I'm not sure if this falls under core feature, but I would love to see nonfunctional objects become functional, such as the volleyball court. Or being able to play a group game of basketball, soccer, etc. I would love to see career and university expansion. I would love to see smartzoi improvement. Smartzoi is my favorite in game feature, but sometimes some of the generated thoughts don't always make sense. For example smartzoi sometimes generates the wrong name being referenced in the inner thoughts. An inner thought I've been encountering frequently is "I have nothing to say."

I have to agree with this, you put into words the exact reason I have stopped playing for now, there are many weird mechanics that make seamless gameplay a battle and you feel like you're fighting the game instead of playing it.

Especially the making more food despite food being available bug, small-talk repetition, zois not using their vehicle as their default mode of transport, communication in general is also very irritating for me, I dislike the business partner interactions. They feel quite out of place in general conversation with friends or partners, some actions randomly increase business relationship when you thought they were friendly interactions. These could have a place but should not show up for every single zoi in the world.

Also NPCs are noticeably NPCs and run off after an hour or so if you try to meet up or form groups with them, forced by the games engine to be somewhere else which probably should be fixed to make the game feel more realistic.

A lot of weird things in general that need fixing in order to make the game fun and not feel like a struggle to play.

Title: Request for Active Military Career.

​Suggestion: Please consider changing the Military Career from a "Rabbit Hole" to an Active (Playable) Career, similar to the Firefighter or Idol Trainee roles.

​Why it would be good:

​Gameplay: Players could follow their Zoi to the base to complete daily physical training, obstacle courses, or equipment maintenance.

​Social: It adds a location for unique Zoi interactions (drills, dining halls, or barracks life).

​Immersion: For cities like Dowon and Bliss Bay, having a functional military base that we can actually visit would make the world feel much more complete and realistic.

Please improve the driving overall! There's a lot of bugs like NPCS cars parked in my car when my Zois get in or out the car. Auto drive is a mess I have to admit. They drive to destination and park way too far away from the actual destination. PLEASE fix this! This takes Zois forever to get anywhere, also once they arrive to destination they just sit there when no one is in front of them. Realistically they should park in front of the destination. Not stop in the street and sit there, or stop down the street from the destination and cross bunch of streets or take the bus to get there lol I see plenty of parking in front of these destinations all over the map, so not sure why they do this. I use auto drive because gps is not in the game yet, but if I'm in a hurry I would think the auto drive would get me there fast, but I find it irritating because of this. Also please add a fast and easy one click option to travel with other Zois if let's say I want to travel with family or friends. I would like that option added under vehicle interactions.

The AR Company meta was one of the things that made me fascinated about the game.

It's been suggested before, but having a "story/campaign" mode would be awesome especially for newcomers. It would integrate the meta a bit more.

In the story/campaign mode could have a tutorial family similar to the Newbies like in the Sims. It could be on the job training for the intern. We can still have the video tutorials that we already have.

It could start off with a premade family and Psycat or Henri could guide the "intern" on how to use the basics. Once the interactive tutorial is over then you are given the option to either continue playing the family, select another family in the neighborhood to play as or go into Create a Zoi to make a new character.

Having an interactive tutorial would help new players who are not familiar with life sims. For example, you can place this game in front of your parents or grandparents that aren't "gamers" and have them play the interactive tutorial without getting lost or overwhelmed. Having Henri or Psycat being a gentle interactive guide can ease these into gameplay.

This interactive tutorial will be completely optional and can be skipped.

I just want to say how much I love the new business lots, they're so nice, I wish we had the ability to run agencies like for marketing, design, GAME DEVELOPMENT 😉, real estate or even law firms. Businesses that are office based where employees work at their desks.

Oh, I recalled the Overture expansion I proposed earlier on the forum (not sure about cross‑posting, so here are the ideas briefly).

The setting is a Belle Époque (Italy/Milan, France, steampunk) with the Verne city in a Victorian era style.

Zois arrive by train at the railway station and then moves to the Hotel (main hub). From there, the path leads into the Imaginarium – the main park area with the Lantern Walk, the Circus (Grand Tent, Illusion Court), the Puppet Theater, the Pony Pavilion (stable, grooming corner), the Greenhouse complex with seasonal crops, seasonal tents, the Stellar Observatory, the Memoria Library.

Beyond the park, there’s the Clock Tower, Royal Palace, its galleries, rooms (Knight Gallery, Ballroom, Clockfront Balcony, Watchtower), and courtyards, the Grand Opera and Ballet Theater, the Old Estate and vineyard terraces.
Street life: cafés and restaurants, food / fish market, artisan markets, handcrafted toys (music boxes, tin soldiers, porcelain dolls, fold-out stages), cavalcades and pony rides, festival routes, seasonal celebrations.
Transport: a steam train, an electric tramway (districts), an aerial tram (park).

The core systems: dreams created after emotional events, imagination play, symbolic anchoring, moral footprint (moral profiles, truth and lies).

Hello, when Zoi harvest items, they are placed on a table or held in their hand. Occasionally, they also put them in their bag. Would it be possible for the items to be automatically added to the bag as they harvest them? Furthermore, the bag system could be improved (it can fill up too quickly). It could be useful for gathering items for a collection, buying gifts, food, and other items in a "personal inventory" section...

Which means it likely won’t happen until Monday 🥲 But honestly, this just reminds me how spoiled we are; imagine a company like EA giving us two updates a week by the team leader. Listen friend. I understand how you feel, I really do. I too want an endless supply of new and cool features but... Rainbows don't appear everyday. It may be unpleasant but tough decisions must be made in order to prevent this dream from turning into another nightmare that is the Sims. So bear with them, it's only for a short time. This is my fear of the upcoming school system. I hope they don't combine or rush or the school stages at once. Instead, It's best they focus on the first single stage which is kindergarten, fleshing out the gameplay and then taking it up stage by stage until we get to the final. If they forced everything out at once, it could turn out to be shallow and unfinished.

BUT, if they can actually pull it off and create a deep and meaningful gameplay for each stage, then all power to them

Ok like I'm pretty sure I've explained myself really well. I'm not saying bugs shouldn't be fixed or that core issues shouldn't be improved.

What I AM saying is that the team in the past has delivered long lists of bug fixes alongside new features. And they used to do weekly hotfixes. That's not a problem and I think that method of improvement should continue on rather than getting extracting workers from the main team

The roadmap was genuinely perfect and just because new features are implemented doesn't mean that bugs can't be fixed alongside those new features. I mean the proof was in the October update that showcased the devs were able to do BOTH so.. anyways I'm just saying that there's a better way of going about it instead of removing so many ppl

I'm not ganging up on you nor am I arguing with you.

I agree they could have gone that route and do both simultaneously, but they are the developers and only they understand best the severity of the problem and how to handle such matters. I'm simply saying we have to let them do their thing.

It's just a minor and temporary change in plans meant to fix a small issue, we may still get most if not everything this year so you don't have to worry ☺️.

Also, it also wasn't my intent to make you angry. If I came off that way, I'm sorry. 😟

I posted this on the survey but I just going to put it here again.

Better eye movements instead of characters staring blankly into the dead of space. Their eyes should track movement, react to nearby actions, and subtly shift depending on what they’re thinking or feeling.


Vary default animations for each mood, and introduce exclusive actions, animations, and behaviours tied to traits. A confident Zoi shouldn’t carry themselves the same way as a shy one. Personality should show not just in dialogue, but in posture, movement, and idle behaviour.


More expressive (but not awkward or out-of-place) animations and actions. For example:
An angry Zoi pushing someone, smashing or throwing objects, stomping away, yelling. Happiness, sadness, jealousy — all of these should have equally noticeable and distinct physical expressions that feel natural and situational.


Rather than leaving the success rate of criminal acts like lockpicking and car theft to luck, it would be better to create simple mini-games. Instead of one failure immediately barring you and triggering an alarm, introduce a set of levels that determine success based on the ratio of levels won versus levels lost.

This would make the system feel skill-based rather than random, and it would reward improvement over time. It also opens the door for difficulty scaling, different tools, and risk-reward decisions.

Also, introduce more criminal activities and expand the system overall. Inzoi is in a position to be the first game to properly tackle this side of life simulation in a meaningful and engaging way.


Finish your animations. Some of the newer animations, like selling cars, and older ones, like accidents, feel half-arsed and break immersion.

Instead of selling a car while sitting inside it in a random location, create a set of hidden garages or buildings where the player has to drive the car and leave it. Maybe add a shady-looking Zoi who comes to pick it up later and pays you.

The accident system cannot be properly expanded until you include destruction physics for cars and a functioning hospital system. Without consequences and follow-through, accidents feel incomplete and lack weight.


Add more family activities and interactions: family feuds, jealousy, schemes, and drama. Families shouldn’t just coexist — they should evolve, clash, bond, and sometimes fall apart. These moments are what make stories memorable.


Expand animations, actions, and even afflictions for older life stages. Lock certain actions and introduce new limitations.

An elderly Zoi should not be able to sprint the same way they could when they were younger. They should have shorter stamina, get tired more easily, and move more slowly. Their posture could change, their reactions could slow down, and even simple tasks could take longer or require more effort. They also shouldn’t be able to perform every task like normal, and that limitation should feel natural rather than forced.


Personally, what makes a life simulation meaningful isn’t just the number of activities, but the distinction between people in the world. That’s what creates curiosity and interest — the feeling that every character is living a slightly different life.

There should be clear differences between life stages that build into a truly memorable playthrough, not just levels of growth you pass through. Each phase of life should feel like its own chapter, with its own mechanics, struggles, and identity.

My experience with my Zoi, Xavier, as a child shouldn’t feel the same when he grows old. As a child, the world might feel bigger, and full of discovery. As an adult, it becomes about responsibility, control, and consequence. And in old age, it should feel slower and quieter.

There should be clear distinctions, consequences, and limits that shape how you play and how you feel at each stage.

As he ages, his movement should gradually slow — not suddenly, but over time in a way you can feel without being told. His stamina should drop, his recovery should take longer, and his senses — sight, hearing, awareness — should begin to fade. Maybe he pauses more often, forgets small things (memory system), and reacts a little too late. These subtle changes would make aging feel real instead of scripted.

That gradual deterioration should naturally show that he’s nearing the end of his life, without the game needing to explicitly announce it.

Eventually, him becoming bedridden shouldn’t just be a state — it should be a moment that carries weight. His life feels quieter. Interactions become limited. Other characters react differently around him. Time feels like it’s slowing down.

And when the end finally comes, it shouldn’t feel like a random animation and a popup. It should feel like the conclusion of a journey — something you saw coming, something you felt building over time.

Because at that point, it’s not just a character dying — it’s a life that you experienced from beginning to end.

That's the whole point of the genre's name. To simulate life.

Please revert the shoulder and overhead camera errors that occurred in the March 26 update to a previous version. It is fine to express your opinions here, but Sims fans, especially the main culprits ruining inzoi, please do not ruin a normal game. If you like it so much, play The Sims yourself.

Please fix the shoulder-view camera back to how it was.

Now, unless you remove the walls indoors, the camera constantly clips through the walls or the floor, forcing me to only see the walls. At the very least, I believe it should have been added as a selectable option.

This patch is essentially a death sentence for shoulder-view users. It’s really disappointing that this wasn't caught during QA testing.

Kjun I would like to see a Easter egg hunt added to the Spring event, a summer event and NPCS to be involved in these events. Also please have NPCS wear appropriate clothes for seasonal changes. Same for public pools/beaches. Kjun NPCS should be using the water to surf, swim, etc. I would like seeing NPCS use boats. More should be fishing. We have areas to play sports, beach towels for tanning and relaxing and it is empty. The real life blissbay for example would not be this empty with no one involved with activity. Being from California these areas are filled with activity and we would see families/friends sitting together in towels/chairs, swimming, playing sports and walking dogs. People would be jogging as well. Also Kjun we normally eat pizza with our hands lol I'm still having a hard time adjusting to my Zois eating pizza differently lol

Feedback on Current Update – Lot Size Changes:
Since the latest update, many player-built properties, especially businesses, have become largely unusable. Lot size changes have caused misalignment and spacing issues, making previously well-planned builds look off. This has been frustrating for builder players, as their creations no longer fit properly or maintain their intended design. A fix or adjustment to restore compatibility would be appreciated. Hello, could the Zois be drunk? Drinking cocktails, with or without alcohol, and different buffs, and how would their behavior vary depending on what they've consumed?

So, showing the effects of alcohol has an educational aspect; alcohol abuse is dangerous for one's own health and the health of others. Furthermore, the children could become pregnant unintentionally since they aren't using contraception... that's also educational. In addition, the women don't menstruate; it's illogical, but it's a part of women's lives, and that's also educational. There could be bruises, fatigue, irritability... and interactions with the toilet, using a sanitary napkin, for example...
