Hello!
Today, we’d like to share another development update from the inZOI team.
As always, we’ve prepared a video showcasing what the team has been working hard on this week.

If you’ve been following our videos closely, you’ll know that the inZOI team has been putting a lot of effort into refining the game’s fundamentals, while also creating new decorative items.
As we mentioned before, rolling out everything in a single large update has posed some stability issues, so we plan to release content gradually across multiple updates instead.

With that, our next patch is scheduled for Thursday, February 12 at 15:00 (KST).
Sorry for always announcing these things a bit late!

It will include new outfits and Build Mode assets as well as several bug fixes and improvements.
We’re currently aiming for around 7–8 updates throughout 2026.

I would like to see a staff morale system added to businesses. This system would make management decisions more meaningful and add depth to business gameplay.

Staff morale would depend on salary, training and interactions with the manager.

Staff morale could impact staff behaviour. Below are some examples of how poor staff morale might impact behaviour:
• Staff are less productive.
• Staff gain skills more slowly.
• Staff are more likely to behave rudely or unkindly toward customers.
• Staff are more likely to behave rudely or unkindly toward other staff members.

Dear Kjun, I want to share one clear piece of feedback: the game’s bug situation, combined with limited communication, is pushing players away.

1) Bug report forum and communication

In the bug report forum, it often feels like most reports receive little or no response.

Many players are frustrated because some bugs have been reported for months without visible acknowledgement or updates.

Even highly disruptive bugs often get no reply, which makes people feel ignored.

I am worried that adding more content on top of unresolved bugs will make fixes harder later and will damage the game’s stability and reputation.

2) Why I stopped playing (examples of disruptive bugs)

These issues make normal gameplay frustrating instead of fun:

Babies and toddlers: their needs seem heavily bugged, which makes childcare very annoying.

Babysitters: babysitters become a problem because they refuse to leave the home.

Businesses: running a business feels like managing bugs to keep the day from breaking, rather than focusing on the business itself.

Lighting/visual issues: flickering lights and strange yellow lighting make playing on high settings unpleasant and make taking screenshots for social media difficult.

Family trees: family trees break when moving to a new town.

Story progression: non-active families do not progress correctly, schools become empty, and towns slowly feel like they “die out.” Non-actives that get pregnant, never give birth.

Genetics: the genetics system currently produces clones, even though you previously indicated this is not the intended behavior.

I understand this is Early Access and I have been patient, but the current lack of clear communication about what is being fixed (and when) is worrying.

I really do not want inZOI to become a game where new features keep arriving while long-standing bugs pile up and make the experience feel unreliable.

Hey Kjun! Since you’re currently revisiting the Zois’ body customization options, I’d love to suggest an improvement to male body hair.

Right now it feels like there’s basically one toggle (more vs. less hair), but not much variety in where the hair appears or what kind of pattern it follows. It would be awesome to have selectable body hair patterns, for example:
• Chest only
• Stomach/abdomen only
• A small localized patch
• Full torso coverage
• Maybe even separate controls for chest vs. belly (or even the back for very hairy male Zois!)

And beyond placement, having density options (very light / medium / very thick) would add a lot. This would really help differentiate male Zois from each other, and it would also make it easier to create men with more diverse phenotypes from around the world.

Dear Kjun & Team,

Thank you for such an inspiring update, you all have really been working hard for this games Future!!

I currently only have 1 recommendation: Bugs, bugs, bugs...

Since the 5.0 update for Christmas, bugs have gotten a little out of hand. The Christmas event caused a major bug with the other holiday events we can do in-game. It just doesnt want to work, so I am hoping that will be fixed soon, so I can recollect the event items on this New Zoi. (Other players have made ample reports on the forum)

Then, the bug for farming, using special fertilizer has caused the plants to wilt, instantly, really made me sad, both are things I personally enjoy doing on LifeSims.

Though adding new content is important, the bugs that hang around for months... are even more so important. Lets not repeat the same mistakes made by prior game developers. I feel it would reduce the views and people for InZOIs' future.

The chit chat bug is still hanging around as well, the Zois still banter longer than necessary or freeze mid conversation, they'll simply stand there, even if other options are active for them to proceed conversing. Sometimes up to a whole in game hour 8D

Other than those bugs, thats all for me today. Really hope these will be assessed soon!

First of all, thank you very much for all these improvements!!!

I would like to add a small suggestion regarding the realism of the game.

Ps : I had already posted this idea, but I hope it will be seen this time!!

I find that when it rains, zoi's hair should also have a wet effect, in addition, I think the wet effect should last a little longer than currently, because in real life we do not dry as soon as we enter a dry space, it could be done gradually for example.

Another similar suggestion would be that when the zoi are in the water or come out of the water, it would be great if their clothes (and hair) have the same effect as when it rains and that it lasts several minutes as well, so we really have this impression that the zoi was in the water!!

Ps: I think that for your zoi to dry faster, you would just have to change clothes, as in real life, and if you don't, the zoi can complain that the sensation is unpleasant and can stay wet for several hours (of play).

Dear Devs, Mr Kjun and inZOI team: Thank you for the updates. How I wish ...travel issues or features for travel to be improved or added on esp travelling to players' progressed cities maps and not having to transfer Zois after every update. Have options to choose Zois in the family to travel instead of all members in family to travel...I have mentioned before abt travel issues. Thank you.

Thank you to Kjun and inzoi studio team! Everything looks so good for the upcoming updates. I'm looking the most forward to the bug fixes and improvements that's coming as well and that they fix a lot of the issues players have been experiencing. Especially for businesses, crime, hired services, and the possibility to finally allow other zois in the household to be able to lock doors instead of one.

YESSSS THE INTERACTIONS LOOK GREAT 💕💕💕 I love the dip kiss !! More of that please. Family interactions 😘🤌🏿❤️ I love that parent interaction where the parent is kneeling to the child's eye level 😭 it's that level of detail that's soooo sweet 😭 I definitely wanna see some more parent child/teen interactions. I would love to see some adorable interactions from parents when their children are sick. Maybe putting the back of their hand on their forehead or using a thermometer to check fever. Handing their children/teen a cup of cough syrup, etc. I'd love to see a "tuck in" interaction. The parent could briefly kiss and caress the head of the child, toddler, infant while they are asleep. Reading children to sleep. Story time !! Omg ! When y'all develop the "travel together" stuff in the future, it would be cute to see parents holding their children's hand when they are walking the crosswalks. I would love to see parents cuddling their children. I would love to see more parent and teen/adolescent interactions as well. Such as consoling after breakups. I recently had my teen Zoi go through a break up, it would be cute to have the parent gjve them a hug, wipe their tears, offer tissues, offer advice, etc. Ahhh I'm sorry my thoughts aren't organized, I'm typing on mobile, but I think when I get on my laptop I'll type out a more organized list so it's more easy to follow and organize. These are just random ideas off the top of my head. Again thank you for your updates and communication. I am sooooo excited for the new stuff. I definitely like that we're getting more smaller updates rather than a few massive drops!!

I wanted to mention one concern: the rap battle animation. It can come across a bit caricature-like rather than authentic. Similar features in older life sims ended up feeling more comedic than intentional, and I’d love to see InZOI avoid that.

I really appreciate how open the team has been to feedback, so I wanted to share my thoughts respectfully 🫶🏽

This is the main thing I want too and it’s on the roadmap but for now, it’s so weird in game to see adult size kids attending middle school. They look no different than adults in height/build; I’d rather them look similar to elementary school aged children w a few subtle differences than anything. I can’t wait for the update for that whenever it comes though cus I forgot which Q it was mentioned in.

I'd like to ask the developers to revise the "skills" aspect.

I still feel like the skill leveling process is too fast, which makes it uninteresting. In inzoi, everything still feels 'easy'.

As you level up, it should take longer to progress and feel a bit more challenging to keep you motivated and feel a sense of accomplishment.

For example, it would be a good idea to divide the skill levels into levels 1-3 (beginner level), 4-6 (intermediate level), and 7-10 (expert level), and then provide challenges that must be overcome to advance to the next level.

As you progress through the levels, you'll be given increasingly more difficult tasks, and it might be a good idea to be given the most difficult tasks to reach the final level 10.

Make the player feel like they're climbing to the top of a mountain. And make sure they feel that sense of accomplishment when they reach the top.

I absolutely cannot wait to build a traditional Korean house!!! And drink tea on a floor pillow while wearing a hanbok!!!

I wasnt expecting it to be soo soon, but im super excited to be playing it so soon!

Anyways, without farther ado, I do have two requests that I feel would really benefit inzoi.

The first of which is allowing zois to step over small objects. The other day, ny zoi couldnt move cause she was trapped between 2 smelly diapers. And while it is comical, it doesnt really make for realistic gameplay, so I feel the game would benefit from it.

The second request is the ability to create new relationship labels and assign a behaviour type (aka, family, friendly, work, or romantic). That way, we can create a great-great aunt as well as childhood friend or subordinate. Great for storytelling (because there are way too many the team could think of including, so letting players create new ones would save the hassle).

Anyways, thank you so much for the video and the update, kjun and the team always cook with it!

It's nice to finally see some floor-beds that aren't cardboard boxes! I hope we can actually sleep on them and not just nap or doze.

The kissing animation is great although the start of it looks a little awkward. I like the new family animations as well.

I have to add my support to the people asking for more responsiveness to bug reports. One issue I mentioned in another thread is the makeup presets: they currently change eye colour and eyebrow style as well as makeup. When someone reported this on the forums, it was dismissed as an intentional change, even though this makes no sense. Please could you ask the team to look into this, as it makes the presets practically useless for anyone not using the default eye colour and eyebrows.

Regular feedback on 'improvements' discovered this week 1 :

  • When drinking coffee at home, you should pour it into a coffee cup. (Currently, I'm pouring it into a takeout paper cup, even though it's homemade.)

  • When using the toilet, there's a discrepancy between the speed at which the "urge to use the toilet" is satisfied and the speed at which the "command to use the toilet" is fulfilled. So, even though the need to use the toilet has already been satisfied, it's frustrating to get up from the toilet very slowly.

  • I'm playing in Bliss Bay, and it's rare to see rain or snow. While frequent rain and snow are a problem, the lack of weather change can also be a factor that reduces the enjoyment. I wish the weather had more potential for change.
    (I've played inzoi for about 160 hours, and I've yet to see snow in Bliss Bay in the winter... why is that?)

  • My hired bartender, zoi, doesn't stand still at the bar, but instead keeps moving around and doing other things. His main job is to make drinks, but he keeps moving around. Please fix this. Bartender NPCs should display more bartender-like behavior. They should be more "bartender-like", like wiping cups with a dry towel, clearing the bar table, and chatting with customers.

  • I've never seen NPCs sitting at the bar and ordering drinks. This needs improvement. NPCs should display more diverse and dynamic behavior in public spaces. They should be able to swim in a pool and slide down a slide.

Kjun, we may suggest new contents but that isn’t to say that we don’t want the previous roadmap worked on, because we do want the previous roadmap worked on, but the new content suggested by us is just us asking for it to be included or to be seen, but it isn’t us demanding for it to be added this instant right now, and it’s also not us asking to remove the previous roadmap. Again, we are suggesting new ideas under every new Kjun post, but that does not mean we wish to remove the previous roadmap improvements.

Regular feedback on 'improvements' discovered this week 2 :

  • After placing prepared food on a table, there's an issue where clicking the cursor to eat the food doesn't work properly. When I hover my cursor over food, it doesn't click. This needs improvement.

  • When scheduling a party or appointment, I'd like to see a direct phone call to schedule the appointment, rather than simply clicking on the event. Currently, this is omitted, making it too simple and reducing immersion.

  • While Zoi is bathing, a strange situation occurs where she changes into her business uniform and takes a bath when the store opens... Please finish bathing and change.

  • My Zoi wears glasses, but she takes them off when she changes into her business uniform. Can't Zoi keep accessories like her glasses when she changes into her uniform?

  • When will the toaster, which is currently just for decoration, be usable? I wish there was a motion where you toast bread in a toaster and spread jam on it.

Hello Kjun,

There was a mention not too long ago about the change of focus to bug fixing.
I have made a comprehensive list of VERY annoying bugs and/or issues pertaining to the core game I believe would greatly increase player satisfaction with the game, provided they get fixed.

Here’s the list I gathered ( Part 1 ) :

  • Zois being affected with something like a forever thin bug ?
  • Zois being unable to complete the singing homework ?
  • Zois eating even though full ?
  • Zois bathing even though clean ?
  • Zois waking-up even though tired ?
  • Zois having inconsistent needs depletions that seems to pop out of nowhere ?
  • Un-cancellable actions (I think this is only for Bathing, or at least it’s the most frequent).
  • Zois Needs not filling-up properly in the 4 hours/day gameplay (it’s not as bad as it was, but still not good enough)
  • Custom textures applied to objects being improperly lit (sometimes dark, others bright, but usually bad)
  • We’re still missing some early Enneagrams, some where overwritten (Entertainer became Troublemaker? And Collaborator is GONE), why remove them? Add them back and keep the new ones too !
  • Zois no longer playing piano/synthesizer when you have that preference AND one of the 2 instruments at home, always defaulting on the Guitar instead.
  • Child zois no longer AUTOMATICALLY joining an adult which is going to wash the laundry (Yes, it was like that pre-0.2.0, provided child had the laundry preference)
  • Toddler requiring insane amount of interaction from adult.
  • Newborns requiring less than toddler but smelling the baby every hour? Compulsive behavior there IMHO.
  • Zois not fixing their own “water” furniture when they break and slipping on the floor, killing themselves, even though they love repairing or at least a zoi of the household loves doing it.
  • Babysitters stealing tablets and laptops(more rare).
  • Babysitters not leaving the house on their own.

More ways to perform couch interaction to be less of a hassle
I don’t really have much to suggest currently, but I saw a Youtuber saying that we should be able to click another zoi directly and perform the massage on couch or romance on couch interaction, without having to always click on the couch as the only option, so I thought that was a good idea for extra option and this extra options will make interaction easier. So, I hope that the massaging on the couch and couples sitting on the couch together to talk or to hug, can be initiated in more ways than one.

Example::point_down:👇

  • The current couch option we have is: Clicking couch to do massages or to sit together to talk etc.
  • Option 2 that should be added: Being able to click a Zoi directly and click “Massage them on a couch” where the zois will go find a couch and perform interaction on the couch.
    (I would like to address, by clicking “Massage them on a couch” will be your zoi massaging the other zoi, but if you want the other zoi to massage your zoi on the couch, without having to switch between zois, there should be a “Ask for a massage on couch” for easier interactions)

I am not asking to remove the current couch option to initiate those intimate interactions, no. I am simply asking to include a second option to perform those same interactions. The option 2 that I showed in my example is useful shortcut, so we can decide to click the zoi directly to perform a massage or couch interaction. So instead of only having to find a couch to perform the interaction, where we have to click a menu to select a specific zoi we want to do the interaction with, which THIS takes longer than necessary, I don’t see why we can’t have a “Massage on the couch” and “Ask to be massage on couch” interaction when clicking zoi directly? (Also, if the zois are already sitting on the couch, they do not need to get up to sit back down in the same exact spot they were already in, just to do the couch interaction)

I'd like to give some feedback on the game's lighting. In the trailers and demos prior to early access, the lighting seemed more vibrant, with richer colors and a much more realistic overall result than what we have now.

I understand that technical adjustments are normal during development, but that old lighting really made a big difference to the visuals and identity of the game. If possible, it would be amazing to consider bringing that lighting style back, or at least offering a graphical option inspired by it.

Thank you for your work and attention. The game's potential is enormous.

Some of my bug report
I don’t know if it’s just me who has this bug, but the npc zoi that are pregnant do not give birth when their time of birth is due, so they just stay pregnant permanently.

I’m also having issues with the lighting in InZOI. As many addressed, flickering, odd textures on walls at night, ghosting, realistic shadows needs fixing because it’s bugged out etc. Another issue I had is zois sitting in the air instead of the chair.

Also, I don’t know of this is a bug or the InZOI team just left it to be like this for now, but I didn’t like how when zois walk through doors, they are technically walking through a door that isn’t fully open, but somehow, they can walk through it like a ghost. (This isn’t realistic sadly). I can try to patiently wait for all of these bugs we all need fixing to be fixed, knowing that Kjun and the InZOI team has many other major focus, but I hope these bugs can be addressed or acknowledged now that we are putting these bug issues here directly.

( Buglist - Part 2 )

  • Babysitters emptying the fridge as they try to eat but food disappears when set on the table.
  • Babysitters not cleaning diapers and bottles.
  • Zois putting tablets/laptop in their bags without the player’s prompting them to do so.
  • Tablets disappearing (not in any zois inventory and no Babysitter came… where is it ? Who knows !)
  • Zois getting their action cancelled to go take care of a newborn/toddler, forgetting what they where doing and not resuming previous action.
  • Zois getting their action cancelled to answer a conversation from another zoi, forgetting what they where doing and not resuming previous action (frequent with some book/tablet reading, also with homeworks on the computer I’ve found out).
  • Zois not closing TV/Music when done/interrupted (see above for “forgetting” what they where doing).
  • Zois cleaning the fields/grass outside with a broom.
  • Zois not using the closest wardrobe to their bed to change into their bed clothes.
  • Zois not changing into formal attire when going to work
  • Zois not changing into their school attire when going to school (especially “child” age-group, but others too).
  • Zois not using umbrellas, and being unable to carry umbrellas in their bags anymore.
  • Zois discarding their umbrellas in the middle of a conversation or because of other action, then never using it again until you get home.
  • Zois not using their raincoats when raining.
  • Zois having their pathing fight with another zoi and/or object on the floor, which could lead to death from needs depletion at worse, being super annoying and ridiculous at best.
  • “Complete a workbook” - completing from the first second of setting it down on the table.
  • Traffic movement seems to happen with lots of pauses, if feels vehicles are “skipping”
  • Car no longer drives when told to go to a specific destination. there’s a delay and it teleports there.

Will InZOI truly be done 2026?
Last but not least. Honestly, with continuous piling features, I don’t have the confidence that InZOI will be a complete game 2026 and I hope that many people realize this beforehand, so if Kjun does say they need another year, it wouldn’t be that disappointing or shocking. I am aware complex games take years to make. But if InZOI does somehow finishes in 2026 then that would be great too, but I am no rush and hope InZOI is good when it comes out, and I hope there can be good Gameplay loop as well.

I really hope that you will add polyamory/monogamy preference for zois. I really need this. I want to create a polycule in Inzoi. But it's so weird that I can offer several zois to be lovers, they don't seem to mind having multiple partners at all, but they still get a sad moodlet when they see their partners kissing. And playing as a monogamous character is also weird, because they don't hesitate to flirt with everyone. I'd like monogamous characters to have some sort of opinion about their infidelities, depending on their traits. Some might be tormented by remorse, while others would be thrilled by the affair.

@arctic junco yea the toilet thing bothers the mess out of me lol. Also when they look at the toilet first and act like they're surprised it's a toilet before sitting down ignores me even more lol. That was one of the things I posted in here last week, I think the zois need to put more pep in their step when doing things because they do everything so slowly at times. I would also love for zois to actually move around and bathe themselves while in the shower instead of just standing. Maybe singing in the shower sometimes to.

I agree. I believe Kjun said he will add a faithful trait and that faith trait will help the monogamous part, but I think faithful zois shouldn’t be flirting around when they are already in a relationship or married.
I think we need a trait for polygamy, so zois who has polygamy in their trait won’t feel betrayal or any negative emotions when their partner are being intimate with another, because they are polygamous.

Hello, thank you Mr. Kjun for your feedback, and thank you to the whole team for your hard work! There's still a lot to do...
I would add to the previous post a few ongoing problems...

The SMS notifications for deceased Zoi don't state the cause of death. When you see a young adult Zoi, you're surprised by its death because you don't know why. Zoi that tan don't actually tan; their skin tone doesn't change. There could be a tanned, perfect tan, but if they don't use sunscreen, they get a sunburn with bruises that are temporary, for example.

Blinds and curtains can't be closed in just one room; it's the whole house. The same goes for lights. I think it would be possible to have an interaction to "close the curtains or blinds of the room," and the same for the lights. The long hair of the Zoi floats in clumps on their backs, the glitches of the scarves with the outfits, the glasses that cannot be properly adjusted because they are too wide.

Big thanks to everyone who tracked bugs and shared their lists here. I’d also love for the Wednesday Comment response and Friday Posts / videos to include more information about bug fixes and feature improvements (especially helpful before patches drop, so we can look forward to what’s being fixed and improved). It might not be the most “marketable” content update for big platforms, but it’s clearly the path to better communication and player trust ❤️

So that the zoi don't automatically dress in their daytime outfits as soon as they get out of bed... but thank you again so much!

These days, many players are reporting that they've discovered that their non-playing Zoi family members have died. I've experienced this myself.
Thinking it was a bug, I tried reloading, but the family member died again after a while.
After analyzing the cause, I found that it was because the "Free Will"(Autonomy) option was disabled in the UI... (I figured this out because only one Zoi with "Free Will" disabled died.)
That Zoi simply stood there, unable to do anything, until all of its desires went red and it died.
It's incredibly frustrating. It's a critical issue that Zoi with "Free Will" disabled don't do anything even when not activated.
When you change the family you play as, regardless of whether "Free Will" is disabled, the entire family should be able to survive on their own, but that's not happening.
I don't know if this is a bug or a flaw in the game, but this is something that urgently needs improvement.

This means I turned it off in the UI window. In Sims, when you change the family you play with, the non-playing family members will live well on their own regardless of the 'free will' option at that moment. So it's strange that the 'free will' off setting is applied even when you're not playing. When I was playing with another family, another zoi I played with briefly before had 'free will' turned off, so he did nothing and eventually died.

For example, in The Sims, even if I turn off free will in the options, it doesn't mean that the family I'm not playing with will do nothing. The same goes for The Sims 3 and 4. When I play Family A, Family B doesn't just sit still, but lives their own lives... regardless of the free will setting. But that's not the case with Inzoi, which is why it's inconvenient. Even if you change the playing family, if you turn off "free will,"(in Ui window) they will unconditionally do nothing and eventually die.

And I have another question about the 'Free Will' option. I don't know what the difference is between going directly into the options and turning off 'Free Will', and turning off individual 'Free Will's' in the UI window. I usually play with both turned off, but even if I turn both off, Zoi's 'Free Will' turns on automatically when I wake up in the morning. If this is the case, turning off both the options and the UI window doesn't help, right? Why is the system like this? It's been like this for a long time, shouldn't it be fixed?

All this game needs is a better sense of progression, clearer direction, and a purpose behind your actions.

​Ambitions should be more visible, every life stage should have an objective that, if not met, has consequences for the Zoi's future. Skills should be directly tied to school and work performance.

​There needs to be a clear purpose for everything: Why should I go to school or do my homework? What happens if I get bad grades? Why do I have to clean? What could happen if I leave everything a mess?

​Heartopia, a game with less content, a smaller budget, and simpler graphics, has a great handle on progression. the game guides you through what you need to do, and even obtaining clothes follows a progression path. inZOI gives you so much freedom and, at the same time, so little direction that a new player just feels overwhelmed and ends up quitting

Like the zois could be kissing or hugging, before they look at each other with love in their eyes and one zoi might caress the cheek of the other zoi, and they will continue to kiss again and this will all be in one interaction. This is good detail!

Thanks for the updates @latent fulcrum a few things I’d love for the team to address when you can!

Feedback/Bugs with cars:

• There’s a bug where traveling no longer shows the car driving. Zois just teleport to the location. Would love for the driving animation to come back because it really adds immersion.

• Being able to give Zois in other households rides. This used to be a thing and it added so much storytelling between friends and dates. If it was removed because parking is being worked on, I really hope it comes back once parking is finalized.

• Ability to sleep in cars. This would be great for struggling Zois, beach bums, and criminals staking out overnight. It would add a lot of realism.

Allow Multitasking For Romantic Interaction
I’d love to see more romantic interactions that support multitasking or to see multitasking support for romantic interactions. Right now, Zois can’t cuddle, kiss, or hold hands while watching TV or lying in bed, which makes romantic moments feel very limited.
It would also help to clearly indicate which interactions allow multitasking—similar to the footstep icon used for some conversation options that indicate standing interactions—so players don’t have to guess which interactions support multitasking.
I’d also like a “Relax in Bed” option that isn’t tied to sleeping. This could allow Zois to kiss or hug a partner while lying in bed, then return to relaxing in bed afterward. For example, if we choose to use a phone after a kiss in bed, the Zoi will use the phone after kissing while still lying in bed. This would be similar to how multitasking already works with eating and talking.

I really agree with this idea especially the part about making romantic interactions feel more natural and less repetitive.

What would make a big difference isn’t just adding more kiss animations, but adding emotional progression inside one interaction. For example, Zois could hug, pause, look at each other, smile softly, then continue the interaction. Small facial expressions and subtle gestures would make relationships feel more alive.

I also strongly support multitasking during romantic moments. Being able to sit close on a couch while watching TV, hold hands during conversations, or relax together in bed without immediately sleeping would make everything feel more immersive and less scripted.

Another important detail would be personality-based animations. A shy Zoi could hesitate before initiating affection, while a confident Zoi might act more naturally. That variation would make relationships feel unique instead of identical for every character.

Overall, deeper relationship animations would improve immersion and storytelling a lot. It’s not about making things extreme it’s about making them feel human.

🎮 UI / UX Feedback – Contextual Interaction Menu
(- often referred to by players as a “pie menu”)

When clicking on an object in inZOI, a radial interaction menu appears. While the idea itself works well, the current layout feels cluttered and difficult to read.
Different types of interactions (basic actions, contextual actions, social or special interactions) are mixed together without clear grouping or hierarchy, which makes the menu feel chaotic and slows down decision-making.

It would be great to see a more structured and readable version of the radial menu — for example by grouping interactions, prioritizing the most common actions, or visually separating different categories.

This would greatly improve usability and make interactions feel more intuitive and fluid. 🤍

not sure if kjun and the devs know, but Sims 2 had a story mode where you'd play with the Pleasantview families and the game guided you on what to do next. usually dramatic stories, infidelity, disappearances, and they'd all connect somehow.

that's the kind of direction I'm talking about. another type of guide could be having ambition goals more visible so players have a reason to keep playing or NPCs sending you on quests or tasks to explore the city and game features. in inzoi, we're left to our own devices, and most people don't even know the game's functionalities. no one's gonna read the psycat's guide 😅

It would be nice if there was familial physical affection or non romantic physical affection. Like friendly hugs or familial hugs. A parent should be able to hug their child or teen. Also, teens if they get hugged by their parents should have a percent chance to be disgusted by it because they are going through puberty. Expanding on friendly hugs or friendly reactions, it would be nice to hug your friends in a friendly way. It would also be nice to compliment on your friend's appearance in a friendly platonic way. I am a girl's girl myself, and I love to compliment my friends to hype them up.

If only one thing gets fixed next update, please let it be the "Artificial Needs Depletion" and "Eat/wash/sleep" routines introduced in 0.5.0 (or maybe 0.4.5 -- not sure)

I really REALLY want them to stop bathing/showering when clean, eating when full, waking up when tired, and needs depleting abnormally when getting close to noon/6pm and 11pm... The artificial needs depletion and auto-action routine to create the artificial 8am to 11pm rhythm is EXTREMELY annoying to me.

Please adjust the needs to deplete over time no matter which time of day it is, like it was before the routines were added... And also make sure that Zoi don't eat/wash/sleep if their needs is already full.

I just remembered another bug. There is a bug where my Zoi turns off the TV, but the TV audio keeps playing. Sometimes, clicking the task menu does not work.
During a firefighter job, if my Zoi goes home, the Zoi passes through walls and I am not sure what causes this bug. I cannot remember if it happened when I manually click the Zoi to go home, or if it happened when the Zoi automatically goes home by themselves. Also, I am unable to force the npc to give birth! They are permanently pregnant forever.

I noticed that after the last update, Zoi’s can no longer make drinks if a bar counter is installed in a residential property. I recommend that this feature be added back to game.

My suggestion to make "Ambition" visible directly in the UI seems to be somewhat related to this.
This opinion comes from the idea that the 'goal' should be visible and close to the eye. Currently, "Ambition" is visible only when you click on the zoicard. Like the "Desire" and "Mood" windows, "Ambition" should also be visible directly in the UI.
Because it's not directly visible, I often forget I had a goal to achieve.
It's a small detail, but the difference between being visible and not visible is significant. Players need to figure out the direction of the goal they want to challenge, but inzoi doesn't seem to have an easy target to figure out.

And as I mentioned before, I wish the rewards for achieving goals were more attractive. The greater the reward, the more likely the player is to take on the challenge. The rewards should have some kind of coveted appeal.
Personally, I'm not very interested in the current 'donut' system and it doesn't appeal to me, so I've only used it a couple of times.

In the case of Sims, points earned for completing objectives can be used to purchase items with unique features.

Inzoi needs to consider what rewards players will find more appealing.

And a bit of "tension" should be felt in the game.
I've mentioned several times that we need to add a "worry" or "fear" system to the UI, like in The Sims 2. (Or, perhaps, explore some kind of "negative" system similar to this.)
If you present the player with something that "shouldn't happen," they'll become more conscious about defending against it. Zoi's worries and fears could range from "failing a job," "a house fire," "a thief breaking in," "being rejected on a date," or "the death of a lover."

This can add tension to the game.
While players will work hard to achieve their goals, they'll also be more invested in their Zoi's life to prevent certain things from happening.

I also noticed a bug with driving, when another playable zoi from the same household gets in the passenger seat all of a sudden you are unable to manually drive after switching back to the driver.

It only let's you if you select the driver before the passenger gets in. It's a very odd bug.

We also desperately need a way to block 🚫 zois from autonomously going to the fridge to make food when there is already food out and available to eat.

This is so annoying.

The only way this should happen is if a zoi is allergic or dislikes the food or is a vegetarian and the dish contains meat.

Otherwise they waste so much money and time on autonomous food only to not eat it 🫤

The Sims, being a life simulation game, offers a high degree of freedom. However, a deeper look reveals that it's more than just a sandbox game; it's a game that offers a clear direction.

Let's take The Sims 2 as an example.
In The Sims 2, your "lifetime aspirations" are determined by your life's "ambitions," and the journey to achieve them is a journey.

The game clearly highlights your "wants" and "fears." By achieving these aspirations, you earn points and receive rewards that can further "upgrade" your life. These rewards can be a significant boost to achieving your "lifetime aspirations."

Depending on how far you achieve your aspirations, you earn a Platinum, Gold, High, Medium, Low, or Lowest rank.
Achieving Platinum rank grants you the benefit of maintaining a "platinum mood" for the rest of your life.
The Sims naturally "guides" the player along this path, allowing them to play along. And because this "guide" is highlighted and displayed in the UI, players instinctively know which direction to take.

Inzoi's design lacks the foundation for this system. That's why it's necessary to study these systems of Sims in depth.

The game should be able to show the player what the most important part is, and what the various branches along that path ultimately converge to determine the ending.

Enjoyed this week’s update footage and can’t wait for next week’s update. That said, here’s some food for thought from me for this week.

Feature suggestion: City-wide technological development
Introduce a city-level technology progression system driven primarily by university research, where Zois’ long-term involvement in research roles contributes to unlocking technological branches such as energy, infrastructure, healthcare, or automation. Players could choose which research paths to prioritise, leading to different technological stages (e.g. basic infrastructure → efficiency-focused upgrades → advanced or experimental solutions) and allowing universities to generate startups or spin-offs that further reinforce those paths. These technological choices would have tangible effects on city-wide gameplay, helping each city develop a distinct technological identity over time.

Feature suggestion: Functional utilities and indoor climate systems in Build Mode
Implement electricity, plumbing, heating, and air conditioning as real systems in Build Mode rather than background assumptions. Homes would require proper infrastructure, and utility costs would respond to both house design and city technology level. For example, early-stage cities might rely heavily on coal or fossil fuel–based power generation that is relatively cheap and stable but produces high levels of pollution, alongside basic electrical grids, fuel-based boilers, and simple air conditioning systems that are inefficient and costly to run long-term. As university research advances, cities could gradually unlock alternative electricity sources such as wind or water-based power, which reduce pollution but may initially raise costs or introduce variability. Further technological progress could then improve efficiency, storage, and grid management, stabilising prices over time while lowering environmental impact, potentially tying into Karma systems.

Indoor temperature would directly affect Zois’ mood and well-being in the short term, while persistently poor conditions could gradually impact their health, productivity, and recovery.

I also very much hope that although Kjun constantly reads suggestions to clone features from the Sims, he approaches it more professionally and independently. I understand that if development is fast, there’s little time for research. But this is a long‑term project that should lay down systems so they work coherently and align with the original vision once experience grows and there’s time for deeper reflection. As some have said: suggest, but not too obviously.

-# Last time I sketched out a club system inspired by two Sims titles – Sims 4 (from memory) and The URBZ. Essentially, I “connected” the club system with reputation, fame, leadership of club members, VIP zones, and trophies, so that system offered customizable progression for Zoi and could encourage darker intentions if devs couldn’t do it within rating, but gave players the tools to do so.

Fundamentals First include “enhance desired life aspirations, new urges and missions”. The same with jobs in the roadmap – what if the systems turn out even more flexible and rewarding than players can imagine? Employment could resemble a trial process (only with resumes and interviews), while the work process could be separate progressions with workplace relationships, ranks/tiers, hierarchy, meetings, gossip, corporate parties, and so on.

Wouldn’t it be exciting to see something fresh in the genre? I’d really love to see, even if later (with more experience), it’ll need further polishing and balancing.

Please please please can you add in-game a way to organize Canvas build mode items. It’s so frustrating to trawl through all that I have downloaded. If we can create folders or add them to the pre-existing categories. Also can you make the downloading experience easier. For example like a shopping cart - where you add the items you want to download in a ‘basket’ then press download and you can go back in-game to while it gets added. That would be great.

Why are the canvas 3d items not-recolourable. Everything is white. It suck when you are trying to match the aesthetics of the house you are building and you cannot because everything is beige coloured. You can’t find base game equivalents as most of the items are very modern looking. It would be nice to have vintage, mid-century or Victorian/edwardian style, early Joseon furniture.

Sometimes when placing chair or other furniture with freeplace/alt in doorways the item gets deleted. And I have to keep placing it again and again. It’s very annoying.

Also can you make the countertops connect when placing on a diagonal?

I'd like to suggest that we examine Zoi's needs further.

"Hunger" feels like it goes down too quickly,
and "Sleep" feels like it comes up too quickly. Even if he sleeps at a reasonable amount of time, his sleep needs are quickly quenched before dawn, causing him to wake up too early.
Conversely, his "Fun" needs are quickly quenched with even the slightest activity, so he doesn't feel the need to pursue hobbies or leisure activities, making the game boring.
His "Bathroom" needs are frustrating because the speed at which he urinates and the speed at which he gets up from the toilet don't match.
Overall, the speed at which his needs rise and fall needs need to be improved.

🎮 Physics / Animation Feedback

🌳🌱 One small suggestion regarding bushes and plants:
Currently, each bush seems to move as one unified wave. While this is visually clean, it can feel slightly artificial. Bushes are made up of multiple branches, so a more natural look could be achieved if the movement were subtly divided into several smaller areas within the same bush.
These areas wouldn’t need detailed branch-by-branch simulation — just slightly different motion timing or direction per area. This would create a natural visual illusion, making the vegetation feel more alive and organic.

Similarly, it would be wonderful if bushes and grass could react physically when a character walks through them, adding a sense of presence and weight to movement.

The same principle applies to hair physics. At the moment, hair tends to move as a single solid mass, which can feel a bit too uniform. Splitting hair into a few larger strands or sections that move independently (rather than all together) could greatly enhance realism while still keeping performance-friendly behavior.

I’ve attached a short reference video showing the kind of subtle, layered motion that feels especially natural and immersive.

Hi Kjun, I'm excited for the new update!
Could you please fix the "management only" system in business? Zois can't have multiple businesses because the moment they're not working, they don't make any money. And if they have a large fixed daily fee, they'll end up in the red 😔

If NPCs working and shopping in the bg at a similar rate it's hard to maintain, there could be a new way to make this work.

I think "management only" should be unlocked when you achieve 3 stars.

Then, if you choose to go "management only," the system will take the revenue made on the last day of work on-site and generate a slightly smaller amount on average for the management-only option (smaller because once you live there would be one less person working)
It won’t be exactly the same every day.

When a Zoi switches to "management only," they won't see their bank account increasing with every transaction. Instead, they'll see it at the end of the day.

Having some computer options in addition to promoting, like checking statistics, would help increase stars points even while working from home. As stars increase, there will a % increase on their revenue too just like with working on site.

If your Zoi wants to go back to work, they’ll need to change their status to on-site work again The revenue of the day will be the new average range they would get if they switched back to "management only" the next day.

It would also be cool to have pop-ups at home based on your business type. For example, in a café, an employ could spill hot coffé on a customers and you have to handle it. If you do it right you earn stars point and money, if you dont do it right you lose them.

Another idea could be an option on the computer to check CCTV. This could trigger new pop ups like your employees are stealing or that other drama is happening!

We definitely need some type of filter option in the custom 3d objects section, because it takes me forever to find the exact object that I’m looking for.

We should be able to sort by creator, or have a search bar, where we could type in the name of the specific object.

I also wish that the kitchen cabinets were more modular… like how they are in the Sims 4 (there are different options for corner/end pieces, half-sized counters and circular/square shaped countertops)…

I have been using the “alt” button to fill in the gaps, but it does create weird clipping issues.

So, I wish the game would automatically “snap” the counters together, and fill in the spaces.. even if they are placed on a diagonal angle.

Now that the Sims 4 has added curved Staircases in the latest update… I really hope the Dev Team builds upon that idea and makes it even better.. especially with being able to place railings on specific sides.

Some ideas could be changing the specific angles of the curve (Deeper or more subtle curves), changing the shapes of the end of the stairs and railings (either more rounded, triangular, squared styles and diagonal turns).. being able to place stairs against circular walls… ability to add carpet or runner rugs to the steps, and lighting effects.

Also, the system could be used to create customizable spiral staircases.

Please also add more types of stair railings (with matching fences) and style of steps.

🎮 NPC Behavior / Immersion Proposal

To further enhance world immersion, it would be great if NPCs could naturally engage in water activities during their free time — such as swimming in pools, entering the ocean at beaches, and occasionally snorkeling near the shore.

Even simple, looped behaviors would add a strong sense of life, relaxation, and realism to residential and beach environments, making the world feel less scripted and more alive. 🙏🏻

I don't like story modes in simulation games, but I think it's already been discussed that, if added, it should be optional. Many Life Simulator players don't want to be guided.
It's true, however, that Ambitions seem very secondary in the Zoi's life, and since they're hidden, I sometimes forget about them too.
Furthermore, for me, the activities that allow you to achieve them are often quite boring, too repetitive. This is where the gameplay should be more complex and also more rewarding. The rewards should be more than just Meow coins. I play with StopAging, my Zoi live a long time and have coins galore.
Achieving Ambitions should be more fun and offer something truly interesting.

🎮 Animation & Interaction Feedback

I’d like to bring up the curtain interaction once again, as I haven’t noticed a response to it yet.
Currently, Zois use the universal controller interaction even for opening and closing curtains. This makes the action feel quite artificial, especially since curtains are something people naturally interact with using their hands.
Is this planned to be refined in the future, by having Zois physically pull curtains aside and close them by hand?
Even a simple hand-based animation would greatly improve realism and immersion in everyday home interactions.

I'd also like to suggest that you allow players to customize the lengths to each season. If I want a short winter and a longer summer, I should be able to make it happen.

Im excited ans love how everything is coming together ❤️ with new relationship and family interactions.

I would also like to see zois have a different walk style to fit there personalities and different voices, so when they sing and talk they dont sound the same. Like when there expressing a certain emotion like anger or flirting they will have a different tone in there voice 🤔 making them either more attractive or intimidating to others.

For cahaya there still needs to be the ability for more than one zoi staying in a hotel. Right now it's only one person per hotel

And it seemed like we finally got a short response here (#1461723221177925780 message)

Other topics included seamless movement between city areas, hotel and rental systems…
but there’s no any clear signal that work is being done on this fundamental of all fundamentals... so please, Kjun, I’d like to see direction and progress in this area.

I think gameplay would be greatly diversified if Zois were allowed not to have a house in cities or resorts, but instead have the option to rent a room in a hostel or hotel.

This would solve the issue of having to move into houses when using Move Cities, even if you only need to stay for a short time or just for vacation.

We already have “dummy” hotels in both cities (Hotel Club in Dowon, Elegance Hotel in Bliss Bay), and I’d also like something more affordable and compact as a buildable lot, such as the Boutique Hotel in LBY.

Because traveling currently feels more like permanently moving than taking an actual trip, so I never let my main zois travel for vacation. What’s the point if I have to lose my business?
Yes, to me it’s also sad that when I do make my zoi travel, my zoi can’t contact friends or family in the other city. It makes those relationships feel like they never truly existed, and that’s honestly the feeling I get.
We should have a city-to-city vacation system that functions like a real trip, not permanent relocation. (Kjun will improve this already, I believe).

But Kjun, we shouldn’t lose our businesses when traveling, and we should be able to contact friends and family by phone during trips, and conversations should make sense in context, and we should be able to choose who travels with us.

@shell raft I agree that hotels need to exist in BlissBay. Matter of fact, if a new country is added, hotels should exist there as well—what if we want to plan a trip to every country and stay in a hotel?

(Kjun, I would like these things fixed in the future.)

Also, Kjun. I would like clarification about pets. I have seen comments on youtube weeks ago asking if pets are still a feature to InZOI. Kjun, I hope you see this. I’m not sure if this has been addressed yet, but I’d love a way to delete a specific ghost. I am aware turning off ghosts is considered, but having a cheat to remove an individual ghost is not yet. I would like being able to remove one individual ghost without having to turn off ghost entirely. Similar to using a zoi ID to delete a specific zoi, I would love a cheat to delete specific ghost. That will be all.

  • the option to define three or four characteristics per Zoi
  • Add preferences (likes and dislikes) in CaZ and add more possibilities in combination with new skills/hobbies (add dance, add sewing for unique clothes and textile decors, add martial arts, add tattooing, add photography, add surfing in bliss bay, add horseback riding later, add skating (skateboard/ inline skates), split skill instruments in different kinds, split skill housework in cleaning and repairing/crafting, split skill swimming and diving)
  • add a chemistry system with turn-ons and turn-offs in CaZ (hair/eye colour, body shape, skills, personalities) for a better dating experience

It's important that all options have an impact in the life mode. The characteristics and preferences should be reflected in the Zoi's autonomous behavior, their communication possibilities, their reactions, and through actions with different animations. After that each Zoi would feel more unique.

When we use the showstudio and edit all lots cheats, is it possible for you to add photo mode to build/buy mode while we are editing a lot ? I really wanted to take photos on the bliss bay beach with the studio mannequins, so I could use the background blur. I'm not able to because photo mode isn't available outside of the themed studio property.

Let's talk about the 'conversation' menu.
We know that through the 'conversation' menu, we can directly ask about someone's temperament, values, and preferences.
However, it's unfortunate that we have to be close to them before we can ask these questions.
But I think there are times when you can try various conversations, get hints, and accidentally figure out the other person's characteristics.
For example, we might accidentally start a conversation about books and discover that the other person enjoys novels and writing.
We might talk about food and discover that the other person dislikes cooking.
We might talk about relationships and discover that the other person's value is love.
Players try various conversations, wondering what kind of person they are and what they like. When they "accidentally" discover information about someone through a dialogue selection, they can feel a small sense of satisfaction.
The information you learn will appear in that person's information window.
And when you talk about your partner's interests, and discover that you have something in common or share similar tastes, frequent conversations about those areas can significantly increase your relationship index.
Furthermore, if you learn about their dislikes, you can avoid conversations related to those areas.
This system will add immersion and fun to the conversation.
And I hope the conversation system doesn't just end with conversation.
When you utilize this information in events like "dates" or "outing with friends," you can experience positive or negative effects.
For example, going to the theater with someone who likes movies can increase your chances of a successful date.
Going to the library with someone who dislikes books can bore them and ruin the date.
There needs to be a variety of events where you can use the information you've gathered about your partner to plan your strategy, much like a "dating simulation" game.

I’ll add to Heartopia some games that are more familiar to longtime Sims players (but not the main titles, rather the console and laptop) which also had clearer goals and even storylines. I believe, it makes sense to look into these games to see how life sim mechanics work and entertain when designed for completion:
-# TS Bustin’ Out (PS2) – lists of goals and rewards (such as Invite your lover over), and career missions (such as Support the president, the security council and all officials for promotion to War Minister), with cutscenes (like an ocean liner and helicopter).

Also I had this idea for the ability to change your zois facial features/body characteristics their could be "plastic surgery" just like saints row where you go to the hospital and are able to change your characters facial/body features.

There should still be a cheat to change your zoi but I think plastic surgery would be interesting esp if you walked out with a cast/had to heal for a set amount of days and ppl can ask if you've had surgery before. You'd first change your character the way you want and after a cut scene of surgeon shows up (nothing scary ofc)

Just think it would interesting for gameplay!

Anyways going back to fundamentals again 3rd person rollercoasters is something that's been requested since the game released

For the 3rd person rollercoasters there was an animation in the weekly update where in cahaya, you could see your zoi go down the yellow waterslide in 3rd person

I thought it would make it into the December update but afterwards we never heard anything about it. I really hope it gets added alongside 3rd animations for the rest of the rollercoasters in bliss bay.

For driving on scooters, motorcycles, and bikes I really hope we eventually get a shoulder mode✨bc right now when I drive the camera is super far away from the character and it's either the far away perspective or first person.

For bartending allow NPCs to order mixed drinks bc it seems they can't do so as of now.
Also clarification on when items will be in specfic updates so ppl don't get confused

Totally agree with all of these! We definitely need more personality traits/characteristics and the ability to give more than 2 to each Zoi (though please keep this optional - ideally we could add anywhere between 0 and 4). And likes/dislikes in CAZ are a must - I don't really know why they're not there already. We could also do with more options for likes and dislikes, such as listening to music and playing chess.

Just a thought, but wouldnt it be awesome if on a rare chance, children would sometimes be born with a "prodigy" trait where skill gain speed is dramatically increased for a certain skill? It would really add a lot to gameplay and family players

As I wrote earlier, overall I don’t like the trait system like in Sims 4, where most of them turned into simplistic likes/dislikes, though in fact that function should mostly belong to preferences. And when I opened Sims 4 (with Adventure Awaits), omg, they turned it all into a mess because of the initially flawed trait model… the same thing is a trait, a preference, a turn‑on. I was shocked and closed these panels/menus.

There are motivations, temperaments (something innate or acquired with age as a reaction to external factors), and then the rest are quirks, perks (talents/buffs), lifestyles (vibes), preferences.

Therefore, atm I believe that certain things like Neat Freak or Bookworm are already borderline (quirks or something), and it’d be better to clearly distinguish what can make up the list of proper traits, such as Depressed (Neural System), Genius (Temperament), which should then have stages, depth, and bonuses or penalties from their strengthening, and what belongs in perks/talents, quirks, or preferences (that are mostly flavor toggles).

I’d like to suggest again since we’re getting more court trial options, that one of them is a trial to get runaway children back rather than them disappearing forever.
• Also having sleepovers for children and teens would be nice, along with the ability for them to invite friends over to hangout or study.
• Having children, teens and young adults that have a preference of being outdoors have the option to sit down in front of a big tree or on a bench and do their homework
• since we’re getting ice skating I’d love to see speed skating added too ( and for ice skating it would be cool to actually be able to do various tricks as the skill level goes up)

Yes, you’re right. In inZOI there are already 18 basic motivations, and they’re composed of the characteristics on the right. Ideally, these attributes should work like the “points” system in Sims 2 that forms kind of “zodiac”. In inZOI it’s a bit different, but on the forum I did something similar using the previous OCEAN 30-trait Truity test:

  • Openness: Creature of Habit, Adventurer, Stubborn, Emotional, Realistic, Creative
  • Conscientiousness: Easygoing, Achievement, Lazy, Spontaneous, Principled
  • Extroversion: Introspective, Outgoing, Shy, Bold, Contemplative, Energetic
  • Agreeableness: Pretentious, Humble, Crunky, Big-Hearted, Selfish, Altruistic

I also think the original personality system was much better.
The current 'traits' system feels too abstract and limited.
However, rather than completely eliminating it, I think it would be a good idea to combine it with the detailed personality system from the original.
You could choose a traits, and then select a specific personality based on that traits, categorized by personality type (ex:life style or talent etc.)

Like someone else mentioned, during the beginning of the dip kiss, it seems a little awkward - the slight lag in the beginning before his hand lands behind her head, and missing a beat before he actually dips kiss. I think fixing the slight lag in the beginning, and setting a "mood" before he dips her will make it more natural. By setting the mood, I meant - he tilts his head, smirks, tucks her hair behind her ear (transition to the hand behind her head), and then dip her. Or he can pull her a bit roughly, their noses slightly touching as she giggles, and then dip. As many people mentioned before, with realistic graphics, even the slightest details can become jarring, so it needs to be smoother.

Moreover, we already had two original systems – the Enneagram (motivations) and the Big Five (temperaments). I also suggested managing motivations through temperaments, since that’s how it should be from a psychological perspective. But ofc, there’s the game’s conventions and the complexity of scripting. All this isn’t easy, and if you expand the Enneagram motivational traits to 27 (using both original and modified cards as I showed here), there would be so many connections and conditions…

I also hope that the team will continue to improve the motion Creating AI Animations, as a content creator, this feature allows and makes it possible to shoot trending fast videos from inZOI and gives good views of both the game and the channel, especially if we take KPOP trends and tracks as they are constantly on the chart, WWM captures movements well completely, but in inZOI, the hands suffer the most + unstable position and passage through the body, for me this is a very cool feature and I hope the motion capture will be improved! Face scanning also works very well in WWM, and it's a great feature for those who have problems creating looks and facial features, since unfortunately we can't choose individual parts of the face as ready-made options, although combining ready-made nose, lips, cheekbones, and cheeks was a great addition followed by manual modification.

I do not know if they had fixed one of my concerns regarding the motion capture AI generation in InZOI, but I would like to add: The motion capture AI when generating dances, often fails to recognize where the floor is, which causes zoi to appear as if they’re dancing in mid-air or dancing inside the floor even though the original video show no such thing.

Anyway, I really want to emphasize to the developers that the current trait system is 'unintuitive' and somewhat 'abstract', so it doesn't really resonate with players.
When expressing traits, it needs to feel much more 'intuitive' than it does now, to make zoi seem like a living character with its own unique traits.
For example, among the current traits,
I don't understand the difference between "Intellectual" and "Explorer." They don't feel clearly differentiated.
Both describe a love of accumulating knowledge, but they don't feel clearly differentiated.
The difference between "Recluse" and "Individualist" is also unclear.
Expressing them as easily recognizable personalities would make it easier to create situations where two zois with opposing tendencies clash.
The system needs to be revamped.

And it would be nice to be able to choose the traits based on the big picture, and then choose more than 4-5 trait styles within that. Two is too few.

Let's say you choose the "Artist" trait.
Not all "Artists" are introverted.
Therefore, you should be able to choose between extroverted and introverted social styles. Also, even if you are an 'artist', your lifestyle can be either sincere or lazy.
They can be neat or messy.
Players should be able to choose these specific details, one for each category, to further define their character's traits and clearly express their individuality.

I agree on your point on artist but I disagree regarding intellectual and explorer , and individualist and recluse , for example.

The explorer is more like an adventurer, they would like to try discover new things , go out of their comfort zone to try new things like food for example and , through that , they would learn new things .

While an intellectual is more about learning knowledge, through books / studies , themes like science , literature, etc math , etc ..,

Similarly for the individualist and the recluse , I understood it as an individualist person can interact with people but think more about their own individual interests ,they would prefer to do think in their own way .
While a recluse would prefer to avoid interact with people , and would prefer more isolation. They would prefer to do everything alone compared to an individualist who can interact with people but would not like their personal interests affected.

Tho , they still need to find a way to deepen the personalities and for the Zois to reflect it even more better

  • I feel there should be some relaxed rap battle animations and ones that address the crowd while walking around the opponent as well without the arms in the air.   • zoi leaning against wall toward another zoi talking to them this could also be dynamic enough to allow them to both kiss

Recognition Need Should be a Toggle
I wish we had an option to turn this off honestly- because if I have my new zoi come into town and they haven't made friends yet this need gets so low they end up automatically running away. And I think this shouldn't be the case-just like in real life if you don't talk to people for a while some are okay with this while others get depressed. But I think in this case now after playing with Inzoi for a while it should be an optional need we can toggle off.

Other Thoughts & Ideas:

  • Being able to place tvs on top of coffee tables and end tables not just 'tv tables'
  • Platforms are hard for zois to navigate through still. If you have a small margin of height between level zois don't consider them as stairs but obstacles. Especially if there's a door on the second level platform to enter into a building. I wish this could change because it makes it hard to make unique building structures with them and zois can't enter the building so you have to pretty much use it for 'nice to look at' or completely delete parts of the building. :/
  • Bug: When zois go to jail and break out they keep reverting back to wearing the inmate suit despite having them change
  • Bug: Eating animations for cookies, muffins other baked goods, and some other foods their hands don't reach their mouths
  • Bug: When you place lights inside a tight 1x1 wall the light source bleeds into other parts of the building- I'm wondering if this could be adjusted and fixed where you won't see light sources bleed into other rooms when walls are closed off.
  • We should be able to sell individual food items that are taken from a batch. Because if you make a batch of cookies and take one, place it in the inventory, you're unable to sell this on the market stand. There's no price value to add and is automatically set at $0. I would like to be able to set a price for it.

For the Canvastowns I hope we're able to do the following:

  • add/rearrange bridges,boardwalks (like in bliss bay), roads, one way roads, and other road types wherever we want
  • Create bodes of water such as ocean shore or lakes, rivers and channels
  • Add/remove traffic lights and cross walks
  • Be able to place town objects like statues, signs, bus stops, train stations, etc.
  • Set weather patterns and set which seasons are experienced

I am loving the new romantic and family interactions. The dip kiss appears a little awkward at first. I think the animation needs to be refined.

🛝 I would also like to see these playgrounds become functional. It would be neat to be able to build our own playgrounds, and they were modular, with pieces that snapped together. There was a merry-go-round in an early look at InZoi. I hope it returns, and kids can play on that too.

🧬 I am still hoping that toddlers and adolescents will receive an overhaul, and you will adjust the heights and bodies of these two age groups. (Toddlers need to be taller than they are now, but shorter than children and adolescents need to be shorter than teens, but taller than children) I also look forward to adjusting the life spans for each age group.

I can’t wait to see what fundamentals you guys work on next. I'm excited to see where this game goes. Keep up the good work.

Adding skin overlay options for bodies and not just face with new textures for the body

Bc right now the faces are really realistic but the bodies don't have any detail to them compared to the face.
Adding preset details to the bodies would make everything look much more cohesive

It's a minor point, but this is something I've suggested many times.
When customizing, I'd like to see a space to write Zoi's individual story and family story.

Players want to tell stories while writing more detailed settings.
Zoi's story, written by the player, can be viewed through the Zoicard window,
and family stories should be displayed when clicking on a family on the map.

On the general recommendations sub I also suggested added a values system in addition to personality traits (such as valuing altruism, materialism, belonging, freedom, honesty, environment, tradition, ambition, etc.) that influences Zoi behavior. So i guess it might make sense i put it back here in the discussion

With Zoi

  • acting autonomously in line with their values.
  • Feeling discomfort when acting against their values and satisfaction when acting in alignment with them but personality might then determining if zoi react or not in term of behaviors
  • getting specific desires and urges in line with their values (e.g.: zoi who value traditions want to go to festivals).
  • bonds more easily with others who share similar values,
  • having unique value-based interactions (e.g.: zoi who value environment can convince other to Care as well)

Values could be dynamic and allow influence. Values should remain relatively stable, but it could slowly evolve over time if a Zoi repeatedly acts against them. Zois could also influence the values of others through “value actions” like preaching about certain values but the strenght of the influence sould depend on relationship (nearly impossible for strangers unless really charismatic, easier with close friends, and strongest within families)

Having Zois being more aware of sounds around them would be very impressive. If a Zoi falls asleep with the TV or radio on then they should have difficulty sleeping unless they have a deep sleeper trait.

Another thing that I noticed is that the desk clocks don't have alarms on them. It's a small thing but I think that would really help players. I've heard so many times on Reddit and here on discord that there isn't enough time to get daily routines done because their Zois wake up late.

Another way to wake Zois up is for another Zoi to do so. Parents could either knock on their children's door or barge in and shake them awake.

Also, if a Zoi listens to a bad musician or singer they could cover their ears and start getting angry the longer they listen. It could even escalate to the Zoi grabbing and destroying the musician's instrument.

To add to things that would make Zois feel more aware of their environment is to react to conversations around them. When someone is gossiping about them within their presence a Zoi can get angry and has the option to confront the gossipers.

One more way for Zois to seem more aware of the world around them would be to have a greeting when they get home if they have family or roommates or a salutation when they leave. The Zois don't have to be having a full conversation just in passing. If a child is at home before their parents, children can run up and greet them. Depending on their personality or mood a newlywed Zoi can get excited to greet their spouse when they get home. It's such a small thing but it'll be a cute quirk.

Development Suggestions for the Game inZoi

Considering that the game already features a fist-fighting mechanic, a possible future evolution would be the introduction of a Boxing Fighter career. This profession could include organized matches, career progression, and the need to develop physical attributes alongside other complementary skills. The Zoi’s emotional state and mood could directly influence fight performance, making the system more strategic and realistic.

Regarding the Fame System, an interesting addition would be a new Desired Life, such as “Become a Star”, connecting personal aspirations to fame progression.

In terms of personality traits, new traits could be added, such as:

Childish

Additionally, the Mischievous trait could be expanded to allow actions like sabotaging objects, dirtying pools, ruining meals, and committing small acts of mischief in the environment, adding more unpredictability and personality to Zois.

A kick boxing sounds pretty cool. It could use some of the same animations we already have in the game plus only a few more. We already have the punching bag in game. Jump rope and a fighting ring can be added.

Players are already requesting a sports career and kickboxing could be it. As you mentioned, having it be connected to the fame system would be ideal.

It could even combine with my multi purpose convention center idea. Big matches could be held inside. If you're not in the kick boxing career you can go watch matches.

Once a Zoi is middle aged they could get the option to retire, become a coach or referee.

I also believe that the hand-to-hand fighting system in inZoi is very well designed and could be greatly expanded through a boxing feature, which would be extremely useful. In my opinion, this would be something truly innovative for a life simulation game.

Many elements could influence the outcome, especially the muscle-building skill developed through exercise, which could be put to much better use. The game could also select NPCs for our Zois to compete against, creating a more dynamic and engaging experience.

Parent child interactions: Asking for Advice and Discussing Life choices

  • Ask parent for advice on xyz topics it can be recent relationship problems, job problems, friendship, etc. You would be able to choose what the most recent events and also recent relationship events that have happened. This would only work in collaboration with the memory system and the ai system they're planning though. Because this way it would allow us to be a child or teenager of our parent's and ask them for help based on what our zoi currently/recently experienced.

Example: Say I'm playing as a young adult zoi in college and I've been skipping school every other day, parent's don't know yet because the school hasn't contacted them. My teen zoi is also seeing a guy who is works at a record store who's also in a band. My young adult zoi want's to get advice from their parents because their boyfriend has been giving mixed signals and never wants to go out on a date because they're too busy.
I would then be able to click on my zoi's parent and select: ask parent about advice on: recent fight with crush > college not being a good fit > lethargic mood (in other words everything that's happened to your zoi would be selectable to discuss with your parent). Zois could also do this autonomously with other zois as well not just parents, but friends, grandparents, siblings. But I wanted to put more emphasis on parent child relationships because we need more family interactions and dynamics like this.

Family Rules
I feel this is definitely needed to apply for children and teenagers. Each house would have their own set of rules. Like: curfew/no curfew, no dating (though this is still possible they'd just get in trouble for it), pets allowed/ no pets allowed, have to do xyz extracurricular (parents choose a activity to pursue for you), college education expected/not expected, getting a part time job is expected/not expected, etc.
Each household can change their rules at any time and apply them based on life stage to whom it applies toward.

Business Gameplay to Add

  • Run a booth Like the Ztarbrooks Coffee booth in Dowon. This should definitely be a business template we can have and operate. But it wouldn't be called this, but it would just be a booth in between buildings and would only need 2-3 employees running it at different times of the day

Would also allow zoi to give their pets up for adoption, would allow us to adopt pets as well. Zois can buy food and toys for their pets. Pets can get their vaccine shots at pet stores.

Overall, what you’re saying makes sense, because both traits (Explorer and Intellectual) are wings of the Enneagram “Investigator/Thinker” (5w4/5w6, leaning toward the Individualist and the Questioner). Likewise, Visionary and Individualist are wings of the “Romantic/Individualist” (4w3/4w5). This psychological portrait is quite conditional, more like an averaged combination of patterns and motivators. Below I’ll add two Enneagram cards with the traits you mentioned, to show what they usually consist of.

I’d like to think through this concept more deeply in a separate section, it’s super interesting to create a new personality model, but:

  • only if the developers show that they’re interested, since suggestions are usually ignored in response
  • despite the opportunity to brainstorm, members often just copy here the same Sims 3/4 traits list which totally kills the interest in studying and engaging in the discussion (at least thanks to Kjun for initially giving hope to see something new and boosting the study of psychological models, before they launched the Sims copy-machine on full).

Based on Kjun's comments, it seems like they're planning to finish production this year, but no matter how I look at it, it seems like there's a lot to fix.
The personality system seems to need a long-term re-examination,
and the poorly-made animation needs a complete overhaul.
There are so many systems that need to be refined over a long period of time, so I wonder if it will be possible to revise them all within this year.
I think Kjun's confession that "this is his first time in this genre, so there are many shortcomings" was an honest assessment.
However, that's why I believe a thorough review is necessary before the official release.

Thank you for all the opinions and materials you shared this week. I’m reading everything carefully and reflecting as much as possible. Honestly, we can’t implement every single suggestion, but the inZOI team is doing our very best to continue improving the game.
At the end of this post, I’d also like to share a fun bug we recently discovered during development.

Now, let me organize everything and respond by topic.

Family & Romance Animations and Interactions
We received many positive reactions to the new family and romance animations. At the same time, there were many requests for more diverse parent–child interactions (putting children to bed, taking care of sick kids, holding hands while crossing the street, comforting teenagers, etc.), as well as additional kiss animations.
In Korea, we’re not very expressive with these kinds of emotions culturally, so we realize we may have fallen short in this area. Based on the references and materials you’ve shared, we will prepare improved animations.
There were also requests for more couple dances, romantic poses, natural affection, and more detailed kiss animations. We are currently working on many of these motions and hope to deliver something that truly satisfies you next time.
Some users mentioned that certain romance animations feel awkward or exaggerated, and asked for more natural emotional expression and longer interactions. Since inZOI aims for realism, we’ve received feedback about this awkwardness from early on. We completely agree that more delicate and careful work is needed.😊

Bug Reports & Fix Requests
Many users expressed concern about long-standing bugs. In particular:

Baby and toddler needs bugs
Babysitters not leaving the house
NPCs getting pregnant but never giving birth
Flickering lights or strange visual effects
Family tree errors
Story progression issues

Thank you for continuing to report these issues. We will work to fix them as quickly as possible. This year, rather than introducing entirely new systems, we are focusing on reducing bugs as much as possible. The bugs you mentioned will be given higher priority, and we are preparing hotfixes to address them.
Business system bugs were also frequently mentioned. There were suggestions for adding an employee morale system and improving employee behavior, which we are reviewing.

Gameplay & System Suggestions
Many of you requested more intuitive in-game goals, clearer progression direction, better UI visibility for the Ambition system, and improvements to the reward structure.
We are currently discussing ways to help players stay focused on goals and feel properly motivated. Once our internal ideas are more organized, we will share them with you in advance and gather your feedback.
There were also requests to deeply rework and expand the personality and trait system. Instead of abstract and unclear traits, some suggested introducing more structured categories (lifestyle, sociability, intelligence, preferences, morality, etc.), and allowing players to select more traits overall.
We also received many requests regarding city and travel systems, including:
Multiple home ownership
Seamless travel between cities
Hotel and rental systems
Maintaining relationships while traveling
Selecting individual family members to travel

We are preparing improvements for these features. While we cannot update everything at once, we plan to enhance the city travel system and introduce improvements such as selling or leaving homes and staying in hotels within this year. We aim to make travel much more detailed and refined.😄

Graphics & User Experience Improvements
There were requests to restore or improve lighting effects, make curtain animations more realistic, improve furniture placement convenience, and refine the UI.
In March, we will include rendering and lighting improvements in an update. We are also preparing to restore high-end rendering quality that was affected during optimization. For those with high-spec PCs, we want to ensure you can enjoy the game with better graphics.
For character customization, there were requests for more diverse male body hair patterns, heterochromia options, and iris color adjustments. Currently, we are focused on developing baby customization, so improvements for adults may take a little more time. Once the baby system is complete, we will review further enhancements.

Appreciation for the Community😅
Many users expressed appreciation for the development team’s effort and communication, while also asking us to focus more on bug fixes and core system stability. We will continue to work harder.
Some users also shared that they hope inZOI maintains its own unique identity as a game, rather than simply imitating other well-known titles.
Through continued dialogue with you, we will gain a clearer understanding of the game’s current state and continue evolving through your wide-ranging feedback. Your posts genuinely help us improve the game’s quality and overall player experience.

Finally, the attached video shows something fun from our daily internal play session. Every day, the entire development team plays the game for one hour. A developer shared this clip—and embarrassingly, it’s actually a bug.
But we got an idea from it: we’re now considering developing a feature that allows characters to walk around while eating food they’re holding. It was just too funny not to share with you.

What an amazing Wednesday update as usual Kjun! Thank you and the Inzoi team for working so hard.

I have an idea for family gameplay. The emotionally needy trait could be expanded towards a Zoi's children. Obsessive parents that need constant tabs on their children. They read their children's diary, check their phone, overprotective, against their children dating. They can also embarrass their children such as sharing embarrassing photos to people or be too smothering in public.

I'm not sure if there is something like this concept in South Korea, in the United States there are the terms "boy mom" and "monster in law". Basically it's when a mother is obsessed with their sons and treats their daughter in laws poorly.

I believe the cities in inZOI shouldn’t be different only visually, but also culturally and behaviorally.

We know that:

Bliss Bay is inspired by Santa Monica, California (USA).
Dowon is inspired by Gangnam, Seoul (South Korea).
Cahaya will be inspired by tropical destinations in Indonesia.

If each city has such a strong real-world inspiration, then NPCs should also behave according to the culture of that place — not all in the same way.

Right now, even though the cities look different, character behavior feels very similar across them. This reduces immersion.

My idea is that each city should have:

• Its own distinct culture
• Exclusive traditions
• Unique local events
• Different social habits
• Different ways of expressing emotions and affection
• Unique social reactions to romance, fame, and scandals

For example:

Bliss Bay could have a more open, expressive, and social culture, with more natural public displays of affection, beach festivals, outdoor events, and a relaxed mindset.

Dowon could have a more reserved culture focused on status and success, where public displays of affection are more discreet, social hierarchy is more visible, and events are more formal and sophisticated.

Cahaya could have a more traditional and community-centered culture, with cultural festivals, strong ties to family and nature, and social interactions shaped by local customs.

This would make:

Romance feel different in each city
Social progression more realistic
Fame function differently depending on the location
The overall experience much more immersive

Having three different cities should mean three different social experiences — not just three different settings.

I believe a city-based cultural system would make inZOI much deeper, more realistic, and more memorable.

This makes the game 10x more realistic and adds a huge strategic layer for people like me who love creating complex stories.

I really like the new idea of ​​walking around while eating. It would be great to see that in the game.
But the most excited information for me is, that you're currently working on customizing babies. 🤗 I can hardly wait to see the result! At the same time, I'm also really hoping for customization toddlers, adolescents, and elders - they all deserve more attention now than the adults, who are already at a good level. More diverse body hair options sounds great glad to see that has been added to your list after the baby updates, don't need every man looking exactly the same. Lighting improvements will be great as well not sure if that's what's changing characters hair colors in game but it seems to be more of a indoor issue.

Thank you Kjun! Im really excited for everything!! I do have a request. I would love if you had the life stages going a bit different. Like start with newborns and have the babies look a lot like small newborns, and then go to infants. The toddlers in inzoi look more like 3 to 6 month old babies. After infants you can do toddlers, and that'll be the stage where they'll begin to walk and learn other skills.

Yes I agree eating while walking is important but also fixing eating animations is fundamental too having zois at least open their mouths to eat

Adding sharks animations to open and close their mouth before you die to create the illusion of an attack rather than anything gruesome. But it would still be more realistic then them moving past you and then you dying.

I'm hoping they move up work on the travel system fixing just because to me that seems really fundamental too and they only said sometime this year, but I'm hoping in the first half with all the other fundamentals too. It's something I noticed months ago when I first played the game

Hi Kjun! I was wondering if you guys had any plans on improving the life stages and adding some more especially in the early years, I had posted a couple times about what I would really really love to see in terms of early childhood development that has never been done in any life sim before and since inZOI is basically the ultimate never before done life sim I am really hoping that these very important life stages will be added even adding a phase between child and teen called tween would add so much to the family dynamics of the game.

My life stage progression involved lots of early years phases that are distinct from each other as from birth to 6 years old is not properly encapsulated in the progression from toddler → child which is something that many players who focus on as it relates to the ever growing dynamics in family life and storytelling in gameplay! I really hope this is something you plan on implementing in inZOI! ♥️

LOD0 have very high polygon but hopefully it's possible as an option for active family/zoi or very close to the screen only so the performance is not affected much.

I also noticed the Subsurface Scattering is a bit high leading to smudged skin details, it looks great in CAZ but once in-game the skin details appears blurry, by changing Scattering Distribution to default number of 0.93 the skin appears more natural and less translucent.

I still hope for 2K body/clothes texture resolution as Zoi's body is blurrier than face due to having the same texture size.

With the add-on Sims 2 Bon Voyage and Sims 3 World Adventures there comes some interesting features, which would be perfect for inzoi‘s cities:

  • different local fruits/ vegetables/ cooking recipes to buy
  • unique seeds and plants, fish and ores to buy
  • clothing store with local styles to buy
  • different local dance styles to learn (and see at public events) with unique music
  • local greetings/ hand signals (eg America: hug/kiss, Pacific: shaka sign, Asia: bow/nod, Europe: handshake/cheek kiss/waving) to learn
  • unique skills to learn: deep diving in Cahaya 🤿, surfing in bliss bay 🏄‍♂️ and Korean martial art Taekwondo in Dowon 🥋

@left zinc they actually do have a life stage in between child and teen. They call it adolescents. That's what they call their tweens. Eventho they look nothing like tweens. They look more like teens lol, but a lot of us in discord has been asking them if they can make the tweens shorter than the teens and have them look younger than the teens as well. Since inzoi is such a realistic looking game it would be cool if they add more life stages tho. It just make since for a game like inzoi.

I truly wish this game success and prosperity, but this update really disappointed me.

Where exactly is the “improvement of fundamentals” here? The game urgently needs a focus on gameplay, not clothing and new furniture. If the mechanics feel empty, adding even 1,000 new outfits will not bring players in.

Why spend development resources on a holiday that only appeals to a narrow niche of users? Do that when the game is polished — but why now?

We still can’t drag items out of the inventory with the mouse. We still can’t place them onto surfaces by dragging them from the inventory like in The Sims 3. Animations are so short that I close the game after one hour of playing. I don’t want to click the same action 10 times just to watch a 5-second animation. Where is the ability to adjust action duration?

Where is the promised WASD-controlled diving that you mentioned back when the Kahaya DLC was released?

You’re spreading resources across minor details like bush animations, while the gameplay itself feels dead. @latent fulcrum , pull yourself together. It’s sad to see such a promising project struggling due to a lack of strong direction in leadership. You jump from one idea to another, yet development feels stagnant.

A year ago, you said that by the end of 2025 we would have full key rebinding in the settings. Where is it?

We’re getting horse heads, but not the features that would actually make us want to keep playing. You won’t see real online growth while focusing on things like this.

Fundamentals are not bushes shaking 50% less. Fundamentals are new mechanics — like multitasking, which you started implementing (and that’s genuinely great) — but it can’t stop there.

Earlier, you mentioned that 2026 is moving very fast and that you’re struggling to complete everything listed in the 2026 roadmap. But if time continues to be spent on things like this, you won’t even manage to complete 50% of it.

I want to point out that the 2026 roadmap you created is actually very solid. If you manage to implement everything listed there, the game will truly gain a new breath of life. But please, don’t spend development time on horse heads, decorations, and clothing right now. All of that can be added later, once the core mechanics are fully developed.

The Hanok-Style architecture and traditional Korean clothes were under Q1 of the inZOI Fundamentals First & 2026 Roadmap. The last major update was December 23rd, and there is mention of a potential March update in Kjun's reply in this thread as well. I understand the frustration at the pacing, but I do think what you said about spending "development resources on a holiday that only appeals to a narrow niche of users" is ignoring that many people and cultures do celebrate Lunar New Year. It is a very major holiday especially in Korea. I think that it is really cool that people can experience a little bit of that before March. Suggestions for Improving CAS Functionality

Regarding CAS, I’d suggest shifting the focus from adding more clothing to expanding its functionality.

For example:

  • The ability to create separate outfits with different hairstyles assigned to each outfit.
  • The ability to save a character with all outfit categories, not just the everyday outfit.
  • A proper character library system similar to The Sims 3.

In The Sims 3, when starting a new game, you enter the city first. This provides more flexibility: you can create a family directly within the world, move them into a house, evict them, place them into a library, and even switch worlds later by importing a previously created character you’ve already progressed with.

Right now, if I create a new world, I cannot load my old character. I have to recreate everything from scratch.

A character/family library system would solve many issues with outdated worlds and compatibility problems after major updates. Players wouldn’t lose all their progress. They could upload their family to a library with their inventory and achievements saved, then place them into a new world.

Currently, I’m afraid to invest long-term into one save file because after almost every major update, you mention that certain things no longer work properly and recommend starting a new game. That’s not a good experience for players who want long-term progression.

I agree with the "Library" feature.
If there's a compatibility issue, we need to find another way to resolve it.
The "Unified Library" feature could solve this problem.
I currently have three families that I'm actively playing with. It's so frustrating to have to create all of these families again with the next update.
It would be great if they added the library feature before the update.
You could just save these families in advance, load them from the map screen, and place them. (Of course, you might have to give up your existing businesses and relationships with friends.)
It's really annoying to have to create a new family every time there's an update.
This feature was really useful in The Sims 3. I hope inzoi implements this feature.
And by the way, to use this method, there must be a 'Start in City' option when starting a new game. Many players have complained that the previous system of creating characters first has been inconvenient. It would be incredibly convenient to start in the city without creating a character, enter the map, and then load your existing saved family and place them on your property. Additionally, it would be even more convenient if there was a 'Save Family with Lot' feature, so you could import your existing home and family together!

I’ve expanded the functionality of the Families section.

When pressing “New Game” in the main menu, players should be given two options:

  1. Create a New Family
  2. Create a World

This would allow players to create a new world without being forced to create a new family every time.

If the player selects “Create a World,” they would go directly to the map selection screen and load into the chosen world. From there, they could open the “Family Library” section (which I conceptually added in the mockup) and select previously saved families.

For example, if a player saved a family while playing in another world and wants to move to a new world after a major update, they wouldn’t have to start from scratch. They could save their family — with all achievements, skills, inventory, etc. — into the Family Library, then load that family into the new world and move them into a house of their choice.

Right now, I feel exhausted having to create a new character and restart from zero after every major update.

I also added a “Families in This World” button. This would display the families currently living in that specific city. This tab would function the same way it does now — showing only the households that belong to the active world.

I kindly ask you to place this feature under the “Fundamentals First” category, as it is a core quality-of-life system essential for long-term gameplay comfort. From a technical perspective, much of this system already seems partially implemented.

Additionally, families from this section could also be uploaded to Canvas.

Why is it so hard to make a ''prepare dinner/lunch/breakfast'' option in this game, so that my Zoi don't eat maccaroni at 8 am? Or so that he makes a meal for everyone instead of only himself? Why is it so hard to make it so you can set the table for TWO or THREE person instead of 1 or 4? What if my family is composed by only two or three family members? Why is it so hard to make it so actions such as watching TV or playing with a baseball bat last more than 30 seconds? Why is it so hard to set automatic lights just as in The Sims so that lights turn on or off depending on whether a Zoi is in or out the room? Why my adult Zoi keeps changing clothes in the kids wardrobe when his own wardrope is literally six feet away from him? Why does it feel like you don't listen to users feedback? Because I've been reporting those issues for SIX MONTHS and nothing has been changed, you only think about ''smart zoi'' or the lunar event bullshit, instead of fixing small simple issues or adding life saver gameplay changes such as those i mentioned above. I don't care if the fanboys will hate me, i came back after a lot of patience to only see gameplay wise, nothing has changed, besides those business stuff etc. make your game more enjoyable to play first, then expand it, not the contrary. I'm very close on turning my review from positive to negative on Steam.

Once the inter city travel system is fixed, it would be nice for Zois to be able to do business travel. A Zoi working at Aramir Group for from Dowon travel to do Plutus Financial in Bliss Bay for business.

During business travel there can be moodlets such as being jetlagged, missing family, stressed about giving a big presentation.

Also with business travel, being able to truly franchise. Imagine being able to open a John Doe's Coffee not only on Bliss Bay but in Dowon and Cahaya.

I had very high hopes for this game myself and always defended it against haters. But seeing how the developers seem to listen to everyone — yet keep implementing things the game doesn’t actually need right now (like changing the butterfly color in the menu, tweaking bush animations, etc.) — makes me worried about its future.

These rap battles add zero real depth to the gameplay. The dances feel pointless. It’s honestly frustrating to see the difference between core fundamentals and superficial additions being ignored.

What hurts the most is the feeling that the developers don’t see the difference between building strong foundations and adding decorative extras. Without solid core mechanics, all these side features just feel like distractions instead of meaningful improvements.

I apologize to the developers if I may have sounded rude or harsh, but a person patience has its own limits, those are simple gameplay changes that half the community has been asking for months and that could have been done in less than a month, if you solely concentrate on that instead of adding '' more realistic romance interactions'' or business owning things. The Sims did that 20 years ago, how hard can it be to do something so simple in 2026 in what aims to be a top tier game? Because as things stand now, my Zoi still look and behave as a braindead walking empty vessel that pretends to be a human. I open this game, I close it after 30 minutes, because it still feels not immersive and that's the primary objective of this game. Why is my child zoi not willing to play with his ball, laptop, or you name it, longer than a snowflake lasts on a lit candle? Why can't my adult Zoi sleep a whole night without waking up every 30 minutes despite his sleep need bar is still at 30%? Also why does my zoi keep using public transport when he posseses his own veichle? Why can't kids build sand castles or dig holes at the beach? Cmon, how hard can it be to fix those simple gameplay issues? Don't come with the ''they are overwhelmed'' excuse, because if they gave priority to gameplay wise things, small, simple things such as adding a ''prepare breakfast or whatever'' option, it would be done in no time. Said this, the only reason I still play this instead of the Sims is because of EA greediness. I would have refunded this back on Steam already if not for the past 2 hours game time limit.

The main problem the developers may face is having a massive amount of content with very little depth. At some point, they simply won’t be able to balance the overall quality. Right now, the focus should be on existing mechanics. New professions and additional systems should be paused, and everything that’s already in the game should be brought to a deeper, more polished level. Only after that should new mechanics be introduced — and at the same standard of depth. Otherwise, the game will become a soap bubble.

Crime was added, for example — but it’s so poorly playable that I spent 2 hours with it and never returned. Level 10 skills don’t meaningfully affect the success rate of hacking cameras. Many things feel broken. The alarm triggers 8 out of 10 times. I’m tired of save-scumming and restarting.

The Kahaya expansion also feels empty. Yes, there are boats and water — but aside from watching animations, doing pointless underwater diving, and visiting the massage place once, there’s nothing to actually do. They could have added proper diving like in The Sims 3 — controllable underwater exploration, mini-quests — and only then moved on to the next expansion.

Right now it feels like the team jumps from update to update, leaving the previous one only 40% finished, saying it will be fixed someday. But players who try the content once and leave are not guaranteed to come back later to see improvements.

The game needs fewer updates, but higher quality. Take more time if needed — but make it so I can log in and play for at least a week, not just 1–2 days after each update.

And this isn’t just my subjective opinion. The player count speaks for itself — it drops sharply within days after each update.

I have nothing else to add after this. You couldn't have pointed things out in a better way. If they don't change direction, I give this game a year at best before its player count drops to a number that has less than two zeros, and those that will stay are either people that never played a life simulator game before, or they are just happy with whatever they throw at them. Me, you and many others are not happy with whatever they throw at us. I really hope they will read this whole conversation, but still I doubt things will change. Their wallets are full by now, they already made a profit from this game, why should they care if the game dies?

Dear developers, not only girls play this game — guys do too. And for many of us, all the kissing and romance features aren’t the main priority. We value depth of mechanics, character progression, meaningful systems.

I’m not saying you shouldn’t listen to female players. Of course you should. But priorities should be balanced — 50/50.

Over the past month, almost every Friday dev log has focused on kissing, hugging in the bathroom, and similar features. Meanwhile, core gameplay systems remain shallow.

In The Sims 3, I always played with just one character. What kept me engaged was maximizing progression, building skills, and developing that character deeply. I’m saying this to highlight that players are different — updates shouldn’t be narrowly targeted, but balanced for both male and female audiences.

The game needs both emotional/social depth and strong gameplay mechanics. Right now, the balance feels off.

I'm not a dev myself, but the most obvious reason is that things like the bush animation are quick and easy to fix whereas things like auto-lighting are a lot more complex and therefore take much longer. It may sound simple but it's probably quite difficult to program (you have to keep track of where every Zoi is at all times and have the lighting respond accordingly). In practice the devs have to work on multiple things at once - they can't just drop everything else to work on one specific feature - so smaller, easier fixes will frequently show up before larger ones.

Another thing to bear in mind is that the game is still far from finished. The Sims games likely had exactly these kinds of issues in the development phase, but no players ever saw them because they didn't do an Early Access phase. We all want to see these QoL issues fixed, but if they're bothering you so much that it's starting to put you off the game, it might be best to take a break for a while and wait for a later update or the full release.

As I already stated multiple times, if things don't change or keep this path and we are in the second half of this year, then I will erase this game from the darkest corner of my brain, and I recommend you do the same. Yes, you’re right, but they’ve already released version 0.6.0, saying that more than half of the game is ready for release. That worried me today. I will, once again make a short list of things I wish the developers will change, hoping they will read the whole conversation and understand that many people are not happy with the path they are taking

  • fix the adult Zois changing clothes in kids wardrobes or the contrary

  • fix the Zois using public transport when they possess their own personal veichle

  • fix the Zois changing clothes on their own will. I often had Zois wearing jumpers in mid summer.

  • fix the Zois sleep as it seems like they suffer of some kind of form of insomnia as they will keep waking up at night despite the sleep bar is not even half filled

  • Increase the lenght of interractions, such as video games, sports, TV or any other general interraction

  • Fix that Zois will prioritaze sitting first while having a conversation, as they will stop mid conversation to sit, that doesen't make it realistic

  • Add set table option for people with only two or three family members. In a family with a male, female and child zoi, I should be able to set the table for a family of three

  • Get rid of that ugly towel when they bath or shower. We already have the blur, why there's the need of adding yet another censuring item? Are you so sensitive to nudity in Korea?

  • Add automatic lights, please, this one we have been asking for ages

  • Make it so children can be cuddled by their parents when sitting close one to the other, or add a ''watch a movie together'' option

  • Add more depht in to the parent son relationships (you are already working on that and I appreciate it)

  • Add a prepare lunch/breakfast/dinner option, depending on what time it is currently in the game and make it so you can prepare it for up to four people

Yes, easily. In fact that's the kind of thing I'd expect to see added fairly late in development. It's nice to have for convenience but hardly a foundational gameplay feature, IMO. Which brings me to another problem: every player has different things they consider urgent and are desperate to see in the game. Personally I agree with a lot of your complaints/requests, but I don't think the game is anywhere near 'unplayable' just because these things are currently missing.

@vast jolt : The version numbering is a bit weird but Kjun mentioned there are likely to be 7-8 updates this year alone (some bigger, some smaller) so the likelihood is they'll just go beyond 1.0. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Right now, Zoi performs every action in about 15 seconds. To level up a skill by reading a book, I have to open the menu 10 times and select “Read Book.” Each time the action finishes, Zoi carries the book back to the shelf, so I have to interrupt the animation and start reading again.

The same issue occurs with exercising — I should be able to fill the action bar with just one exercise for a proper workout. This problem applies to all activities.

Yes, improving short animations is one of the most urgent improvements.
Players want to immerse themselves in the game, leisurely watching the Zois develop themselves or engage in hobbies, but they can't. Why on earth did they make it this way?
The problem is that there are more than a few animations with this problem.
"Watching TV" doesn't just keep going; it's a quick moment before the Zoi abruptly turns it off.
The same goes for many hobbies, such as billiards, bowling, ball games, exercise, and yoga.
How can players enjoy playing for long periods of time when these minor issues ruin the atmosphere of a life simulation?

"Action duration" could be easily solved by simply making the action routine continue until the player clicks to cancel it. Is that so difficult to implement?
The Sims has been doing that since long ago.

And there was an even more absurd situation.
Did you know that the newly added baking menu can't be clicked more than twice? Even though I wanted to pre-select five or more interactions to make a lot of bread, I could only issue two consecutive bread-making commands.
I wanted to switch between different zois, so I gave this zoi a lot of bread-making commands in advance, and then tried to play with another zoi in the meantime, but that was impossible.
Because you can only make two breads consecutively,
I had to constantly switch back and forth between the zoi and the other zoi, like playing tennis, making the transition a tedious process.🙁

You have to be really close to hear it, so when you first enter the club, you can't hear the music, making it very quiet and deserted..
The club lights are flashing, but you can't hear the music. Plus, the DJing ends way too quickly. It just ruins the atmosphere. Is this something that takes a lot of time to fix?
I'm not asking for anything major, but rather for the sheer number of minor issues that ruin the atmosphere and make the game unfun. If it were just one or two, I wouldn't have said this.
If the atmosphere can't be created, whether it's a club date or a hobby, how can you possibly immerse yourself in the gameplay...?

I must say I agree, im sorry to say I haven't been compelled to play the game at all in the past 2 weeks and haven't even opened the new update.

It frustrates me to see new Caz items, and collision mechanics. This is a part of the game but its not the reason I play life sims. I need more in depth features and addictive gameplay loops.

For the first time I am not entirely sure about the direction this game is heading in. I think it wants to be one thing on paper but its walking in the opposite direction.

I imagine there's different departments in the studio, like gameplay coding and 3D modeling, it doesn't mean the resources are on cosmetics alone when we get them faster but probably means they can be done and set to be released earlier than core gameplay stuff which slated for each quarter of the year.

(I've watched all of his early interview videos.)
That's why he emphasizes communication through writing.

Since there were some talks on the topic of inzoi personality system, I'd love to add my two cents. If you make the traits more explicit, they will feel more “weighty” to us. I would however oppose adding traits onto the enneagram system - this could clutter it and conflict. I suggest introducing 3 sliders: extroversion, organisation and caring. This is not meant to replace the 18 archetypes and the value system, but to satisfy the player’s need for customisation, make personality more "visible" and add the negatives and extremes. Here is an example:

Introverted ↔ Extroverted.

  • High introvert: prefers solo activites, skips parties, emotion ‘tired’ from social interaction, will be found at home doing calm activities
  • High extrovert: hosts gatherings, dances, networks, flirts, jokes around more often, emotion ‘energised’ from social interaction, will be found in open spaces around the city

Each slider could have 5 ‘levels’, but be preferably continuous. The 5 levels signalise the intensity of the trait. The levels 2-4 are generally positive, levels 1 and 5 represent the extremes that often introduce negatives. For organisation:

  • level 1 “chaotic”, buys impulsively, avoids responsibilities, messy room, skips school just because
  • level 2 “spontaneous”, seeks out adventures, tries new hobbies and activities constantly, prioritises fun
  • level 3 "balanced"
  • level 4 “organised”, higher quality output, neat
  • level 5 “perfectionist”, takes longer to finish work, anxious about performance, a workaholic, neglects needs.

For caring:

  • level 1 "selfish": mean, may steal, competitive sabotage, manipulative
  • level 2 "assertive": competitive banter, prioritises own needs
  • level 4 "caring": helps proactively (gift-giving), friendly interactions
  • level 5 "selfless": self-neglect, extreme generosity

These are basically probability weights for actions, with the sliders being mutually exclusive (you cannot be both warm and selfish)

Hi! I’ve been playing inZOI quite a lot over the past few months, and these are some features that I (and my friends) really felt were missing during gameplay.
They all seem relatively simple to implement, but would significantly improve the player experience, especially for those of us who enjoy creating detailed save files and storytelling.

Here’s our feedback:

  1. Cheat to Edit Family Relationships After Creation
    It would be amazing to have a cheat that allows us to add or edit family relationships after Zois are already created.
    For example: if I create a Zoi and later want them to be the aunt of an existing Zoi, I could just use a cheat and set that relationship instantly.

For players who enjoy building long-term save files and complex family trees, this would be incredibly useful.

  1. Fix Baby Appearance or Add an Option to Remove/Edit Babies
    My Zoi ended up getting pregnant while I was managing other households, and the baby that was born was completely random — appearance and name.
    The problem is: I can’t delete or edit the baby, I don’t even have space for them in the house and can’t move to a bigger one because “the baby is too young”.

Right now, my only “solution” was to move the crib to the corner of the lot while I figure out what to do 😅
A cheat or option to edit or remove babies would really help in situations like this.

  1. Youth & Aging Donuts
    Adding youth and aging donuts would give players much better control over the Zois’ life stages and aging progression, especially for storytelling and long-term saves.

  2. Clothing Patterns for Children
    Children currently have far fewer clothing options than adults, which causes many of them to appear around the map wearing the exact same outfits.

Being able to add patterns or prints to children’s clothes would help diversify their looks and avoid repetition.

More thoughts. The life values can be mapped onto the traits, like high caring = coexistence, love. An archetype can also serve as a short-cut, click -> default slider values. Ultimately, both the values and archetypes emerge from the 3 basic sliders. For instance:

  • social activist = extroverted, warm, organised
  • go-getter = introverted, selfish, organised
    The archetype is basically the 'spice' you choose. When changing the slider values on either negative/positive, you get different archetypes available.

Combinations of sliders could drive additional unlockable pick-and-choose quirks, to satisfy the need for clear ‘traits’. You could choose them during customisation or “earn” them while playing. For instance, if you use low karma interactions like stealing or sabotaging the others, the game may ask you if you want the trait of a 'kleptomaniac' or 'cutthroat'. Examples for negatives:
Introverted + selfish -> paranoid, brooding
Introverted + spontaneous -> eccentric, daydreamer
Extroverted + warm -> clingy
Extroverted + selfish -> prideful
Extrovert + spontaneous -> thrill-seeking/hedonist, mischievious
Selfish + organised -> cutthroat (sabotages), vindictive
Selfish + spontaneous -> kleptomaniac (steals compulsively), volatile
Warm + spontaneous -> gullible
So basically, set 3 sliders, your choice (positive/negative) filters for the available archetypes. You pick the archetype as a modulator + you can choose a quirk (you can be a 'cutthroat' go-getter or/and a 'workaholic' one). The extremes add flavour and occur rarely (usually 1-3 quirks per every 4-5 zois). It could basically help the gameplay loop by creating lots of emergent drama + make the traits more immediate, grounded, visible. More fun = player retention, actual depth in gameplay from 3 sliders, game feels ALIVE not static, opportunities for extension, higher customisation, root issue mostly addressed if traits impact gameplay visually and generate friction

  1. Option to Delete Conversations in the Phone
    My Zoi has a lot of random conversations open in the phone, and it’s very easy to get lost when trying to use it.

  1. Copy/Paste Makeup Without Saving Eyes & Eyebrows
    In the makeup tool, I’d love an option that allows copying and pasting only the makeup, without also saving eye color and eyebrow settings.

Sometimes I just want to reuse the makeup look without overwriting other facial details.

  1. Dark Mode / Softer UI Colors
    A dark mode or softer color palette would be extremely welcome.
    I have low vision and usually keep my room lighting dim because my eyes are very sensitive. Unfortunately, inZOI’s interface colors are very bright and intense, to the point where they can be uncomfortable even for people without vision issues.

A dark mode or reduced-contrast UI option would be very appreciated and more accessible.

Also, please, please fix the sitting-down-in-a-chair behavior when starting a conversation.
When greeting someone, if there's a chair nearby, they always sit down and say hello. It's really weird and awkward.🙁
Even when a business owner is greeting a customer, they always sit together on the chair and talk. Who starts a conversation like that in real life?😩
Along with the short animation issue, this is one of the most annoying issues.
Please fix it...😭 😭

I love that we are getting new family interactions and that we will have customizable babies in the future.

Some suggestions for things I think would improve the quality of the game:

  • Improvements to the door locking system. Currently, only the head of the household can lock doors/ change permissions. It would be more useful if each door had an access list that every household member (child +) could edit. For example, Child Suzy could lock her bedroom door for herself, but allow access to her parents Jack and Jill. This would make it much nicer to play large families or simulate apartment living.

  • A toggle or a cheat to turn off the Scheduled Routine system. At the moment, Zoi are running all around the house and taking multiple showers to fill their hygiene gauge when their hygiene gauge is already full. The whole process takes hours in the game and stops Zoi from actually interacting with each other and their surroundings.

  • Improvements to the appearance of adolescents. These middle school children look just like young adults. While this is possible in reality, in a game players should be able to tell at a glance that they are interacting with a child character. Making them shorter than the teens would be very helpful.

  • More guidance or improvements when it comes to stair placement. Recently, I spent several days building a house and had a really difficult time placing the steps. It seems that raising the floor level just a tiny bit can make steps un-placable. Also, interior staircases are preventing furniture placement on parts of the floor directly above.

I'm so happy to hear that you're adding back the old graphics before optimization was implemented. Because I've really missed it! And just world watching (walking around inzoi observing). Now we all can enjoy it again. Will this be a setting we have to manually turn on?

Zois walking around while eating is such a treat! Cannot wait for this to be used in future Machinmas haha thats one less animation well have to worry about making 🙌🏼 I would love to see in the future a group or two zois sitting down who could share food or drinks with each other.

A few more suggestions:

  • Toggle/Option to stop player Zoi from auto changing clothing. For immersion purposes, I would, sometimes, like my Zoi to stay in their pajamas or swimwear, but this is somewhat hard to do at the moment.

  • **Longer Animations. **The animation length for “hobby” and “play” related actions are still too short in many areas. Children barely play with the kitchen, Adults lift weights twice and then walk off. Please review and lengthen the animations so that they actually are in scale with the length of the InZoi day and that players have time to become immersed.

  • Ability to edit a Zoi’s name/ traits after creation. Sometimes we make mistakes.

Onto fundamentals... I saw the bush animation too, and I feel like if we're working on animations maybe work on something like hair, body and clothing physics and animations.tbh I'm not personally paying attention to bush animations while I'm playing

Like other ppl have said fundamentals would be something like working on the travel system, minimap, parking, adding functionality to things that exist in the world, wasd under the water, volleyball courts and playgrounds,.

Having set the mood be an animation rather than the zois just laying down and not moving while a heart takes up the majority of the screen. It could be something as simple as animating blankets moving with the zoi under it instead of them just laying down

minimaps are important for players to because it's hard to travel by car and know where you are. Specific facial presets like noses and mouths

Also having a drive here function for all vechicles and not just cars, having zois prioritize using their vechicles if they have them rather than taking the bus.

I would love if we got a working real estate system

  • When new houses or lots to be used as businesses go up for sale and are vacant they would have signs like this in the photo above.

  • hire a realtor to find property in home worlds or other worlds

  • negotiate closing prices against other zois interested in the same property

  • leaving your home in bad conditions be it roden infestation or overgrown yards or dirty it decreases the value of the home. While any additions done to your home will increase property value and you will get a pop up when you go into build mode saying "Do you want to report this addition to increase property value? Yes/No"

I do hope that they'll have ghosts be considered an actual playerable occult and not a temporary feature. Like how they're currently are.

Playable - Ghost zoi(s) that are part of household(s):
Have an option to ask if the player wants them to join the household when the zoi passes.

The ghost zoi(s) would have social interaction options like a normal living zoi would have (friends, romance, mean, etc..) also hopefully incude special interaction/actions related to ghosts (haunt, break/fix objects, possess objects, spook other zois, etc..)

Optional - Have the player be able to click on the playable ghost zoi(s) to choose make them visible and invisible when ever to other zois.

Be able to click on the playable ghost zoi(s) and have an option to ascend them to the afterlife.
Have a confirmation window pop up asking yes or no.

Have a way to revive them.

Only have wondering ghost zois be invisible with the ghost bell object is used. Be able to ask the wondering ghost join the household.
Of course for the players who may have missed the specific zoi passing but want them to join the household they're currently playing as or the same household that zoi passed away in.
Or maybe have random wondering ghost zoi(s) join.

Also @vast jolt tysm for mentioning the “rap battle” animation; I spoke on it as soon as they first showed it. I absolutely do not want to see that in early access as it feels very gimmicky and comedic. It used to annoy me in Sims 2 when townies would just up & start doing rap animations because it felt more of a mockery than anything, and I hope InZOI doesn’t follow that same route. I know they mean no harm, but I am just not sold on throwing something in like that in this stage of the game without any depth behind it

As a family player, when it comes to life stages, I do hope you make Adolescents look like the tweens they're supposed to be and with age-appropriate interactions, because it's impossible to tell them apart from Teenagers and severely breaks the immersion, but I haven't seen them mentioned much in your recent dev posts. Babies and toddlers having their major differences is another hope of mine.

alongside for the furniture store it would be nice if you could go to the store, click on the furniture you want and have it automatically go into your build mode inventory.

This would make it more functional to go to the store bc you could actually buy the furniture there. Right now you can only sit down on the chairs but can only buy them through build mode which lowk defeats the purpose of a furniture store

I have no clue. I checked to see if it was something you take out of the new wardrobe dressers, I checked the booths, i went to the temple to see if it was an unlockable. For the Christmas Update they made some of the furniture unlockable at the booth and I only knew because I checked the guide. They need to make sure all the new stuff are labeled (like the cahaya update) or has clear instructions how to obtain them or at least say they didn't add it.

In the patch notes they need to clearly show pictures of everything that's there. Cause I'm confused it's in the promo and I don't see it in the game.

When a Zoi chooses Medical Birth from the computer or the laptop and gets consent from a Zoi whom they are not married to, the baby only sees the Zoi who applied for the Medical Birth as family. Currently, the baby does not recognize the second parent who has given consent as family.

Please change this so the baby recognizes BOTH donors as family even if they are unmarried Zois. There’s a consent button so that part should not be seen as an issue. The baby even uses both sets of the parents’ genetics. Both should absolutely be recognized as parents.

There is also a notable oversight due to this feature lacking. It is very unlikely to happen, but the current system can in theory allow two genetically ‘related’ Zois to use romantic actions with each other once they grow up. Half-siblings from unmarried medical births can easily do this. Allowing both parents of medical birth babies to always be recognized as family would fix this issue, and allow for more consistent family trees and gameplay.

For some reason the new romance interactions are not popping up even at highest romance level and when both Zois are in the mood. I tried new game and even checked both Zois to make sure they had right gender preferences. I wanted to see the new dip kiss and other interactions. Seems not all the romance interactions are showing.

I really hope that Inzoi will be successful in the future and that the player base will increase again. Inzoi has enormous potential! In their defense, the game is still in early access and the roadmap is good. Therefore, I'm hoping for the best! 🍀 I'm sure they're working hard on Inzoi.

However, I must admit that I can't stay motivated for long in Life Mode. 🙁 This is partly due to the lack of quality-of-life features and bugs, and partly due to the missing or superficial core elements. As a family gamer, I unfortunately quickly reach its limits. The game simply lacks depth.
While I am looking forward to topics like crime and judge or business and more, I think the focus should initially be first on these topics:

Part 1

  • Bug fixing and quality of life improvements (e.g., auto lightning, non-auto-changing clothes, better group meals and dishes for 1-6 family members, different hairstyles with different outfit categories, save all outfit categories per Zoi, etc. (These points and more were mentioned in detail in the comments above).

  • Longer animations (e.g. reading books or fitness) and a better quality: all animations concerning the daily needs (eating, sleeping, showering) should be improved. Different sleeping positions and remove towels when showering (maybe add white foam). A better immersion is important to enjoy playing. The skill system should also improved: different animations based on the level and noticeable effects at higher levels to make it more worthwhile.

  • Final appearance and height for all age groups. Currently, all ages younger than adults feels incomplete. It's time to focus on this. Toddlers and adolescents are currently the most unplayable. Only then is playing as a family fun. After this improvements, please integrate all age groups into the CaZ so that it is complete.

Part 2

  • Depht personality system: Zois absolutely must feel unique. Many great suggestions came from the community. There should be many characterization options in CaZ, and the effects in life mode must be noticeable. Zois' autonomous behavior, communications, reactions, and animations should be reflected.

  • Depth gameplay: expansion of multitasking and group activities, more animations/activities across all age groups with usable furniture. Initially, new furniture doesn't need to be added - existing furniture needs to be animated. And further interaction possibilities within families.

That’s are important fundamentals and the base for me. After that, the (fantastic) roadmap could be worked through again.

I hope you realize that many people here don’t just accept what’s thrown at them. Hence why almost all of the comments are people asking for improvements in various areas. If people just took what was thrown no one here would be criticizing anything in the game and that’s not the case😑. And almost everyone who plays inzoi is coming from the sims so yes in fact almost all of us have played another life sim. These kinds of changes people want to see don’t happen over night and many things people have asked for they’ve been working on, just because it’s not shown in the videos doesn’t mean it’s not being worked on considering there are things in the patch notes in various updates that aren’t even shown in video updates or trailers. And “ they already made a profit why should they care” because kjun actually cares about the game. If he didn’t he wouldn’t be revisiting so many features that he and his team may have thought were fine to begin with or even having all this communication with the players to begin with if he didn’t care. He’s been more than transparent when things aren’t developed as expected and if they’re not able to implement certain features. I think people forget most developers wouldn’t even bother to have weekly communication, you’d most likely only hear from them when updates come around and then poof gone again until the next one. Their roadmap has a lot of content in it and practically all of it has been asked for by players over the course of several months. Deep gameplay is going to take time especially with how much they plan to add throughout this year just off the roadmap, which does include enhancing many areas people have asked for

I saw comments regarding the numbering of the updates 0.6.0 etc, 0.9.0 does not jump to 1.0.0, you can have 0.99.0 and it’d still not mean 1.0 is next. It’s all up to the devs how they want to use the numbers.

For small patches, usually devs use <Major release No.>.<Patch No.>.<Hotfix / Small Patch>

So you could have 0.99.54

What I mean is, don’t look at the number, look at the roadmap, the number only allows them to version control the game to be able to identify problems and/or rollback to a previous version for testing certain bugs, etc.

Newspapers Are Also Important

Inzoi is developing at a rapid pace, and the development ambitions inspire admiration in everyone. However, it seems to me that the game sorely lacks depth and a sense of a truly lived-in world. Currently, the game features only an empty animation of reading a newspaper, which provides no benefit to players or the Zoi themselves. Yet newspapers, like other small details, could change this. For instance, a Zoi could subscribe to newspapers via their phone, and a mail carrier would deliver them once a week. The Zoi could then pick up the newspaper and read it. From the newspaper, a Zoi might learn, for example, that they can sell their harvest on Friday at an increased price for greater profit; or that an anomalously hot summer is forecasted, resulting in discounts on air conditioners; or that the local school principal has been dismissed for corruption; or that local Zoi are concerned about strange and mysterious events in the city.

This gameplay element could be utilized and expanded in the future for various other aspects. Imagine the predatory laughter of a Zoi who has robbed a bank, delighting in reading about it in the newspaper. However, if children find the newspaper first, they might create a papier-mâché craft in the shape of a cute vase, gift it to their parents, and the mother could then place flowers she grew herself into the vase. Such minor details truly foster the sensation of a realistic world and profound gameplay. This is undoubtedly superior to a Zoi inexplicably desiring to read a newspaper, conjuring one from thin air, with nothing occurring afterward.

Hello Kjun and team, may I suggest a few ideas: 1. Sort/Filter in relationships tab. 2. Pregnancy - can we please have a known due date for the baby. So many times my zois, unknowingly to me, have a baby while I play with a different family and the baby gets a game generated name that I don't even know how to pronounce (often with no last name, or a random last name). That being said, if it's easier to implement, please give us an option to change the name of the baby. 3. Since we have interactable hospitals, can we please go in for an "ultrasound" to find out gender of the baby while pregnant. I think this is a nice idea and automatically becomes an option for those who do not want to know the gender vs. those who do. As always, thanks for all you do and enjoy your holidays!

I just wanted to take a moment to thank you and your team for the incredible work you’ve put into InZoi.

I’ve played life simulation games my entire life. I still remember the first time I played The Sims as an 8-year-old kid. If anyone had looked at my face that day, they would have seen pure amazement. I was completely immersed, completely happy. That game shaped a meaningful part of my childhood.

I kept playing through The Sims 2 and 3, watching the series grow bigger and more ambitious. But when The Sims 4 came out, it felt like a bucket of cold water. It was disappointing. Over time, it became clear that something had changed. The passion felt smaller. The ambition felt safer.

For years, I waited for a studio bold enough to dream big again. A team willing to build something expansive, detailed, and truly alive.

And then InZoi arrived.

What you and your team have created is not just another life simulation game. It feels like heart, courage, and vision combined. I can see the passion in the smallest details. I can see the ambition to push boundaries. And most importantly, I can see how much you care about listening to the community and evolving alongside us.

That means everything.

Thank you for bringing that sense of wonder back. Thank you for taking risks. Thank you for reminding players like me why we fell in love with this genre in the first place.

UI Feedback Suggestion

I have a small suggestion regarding the UI layout. I’ve accidentally pressed the Build and CAZ buttons quite a few times during gameplay, and since I play more casually rather than constantly, I don’t always remember exactly where each icon is. So I wouldn’t be surprised if it happens again next time I log in. It may sound minor, but when you are immersed in the game, it can be a bit disruptive.

I wonder if the first two buttons could be repositioned so they are not directly next to the Zoi card and relationship buttons. Thematically, they might fit better in the main game menu bar since they are more "mode switching actions" that are not typically needed during active Zoi gameplay. Perhaps they could even have a separate section of their own.

I would also appreciate the option to resize certain UI bars. When playing at higher resolutions, some buttons appear small and are not very easy to tell. I’m already using the Large UI setting. If full UI resizing isn’t possible, perhaps adding a Very Large option could help.

Overall, I’ve really enjoyed experiencing the game’s evolution so far, and I think small UI adjustments like this could make it even smoother.

It was a lucky day when I first heard that the InZoi game was coming. I have been a fan of this category of games since I was a child and I am still a fan.

If we talk about the current game on PC and what I would like to see developed for it, two things come to mind first. Character facial expressions and UI menus.

The facial expressions of the characters:

As the first example, when two characters are talking to each other, there are hardly any facial expressions. This has been annoying especially when I have wanted to make videos about my characters and developed a story for them.

When the character is sitting on the bench waiting for something, he has a lot more expressions on his face. For example, if he is excited about something. So, to summarize, I would like more life in the faces of the characters.

UI Menus:

Another development idea is related to UI menus. I would like to be able to move them to the places I want on the screen while playing. Also, the image of the character's face in the menu is too big, because sometimes I shoot videos of the game when the menus are visible and it's the only one that always disturbs the filming when it's so high. If you could make it a little lower, that would be good.

Other than that, I've really enjoyed playing the game. Keep up the good work, the game will surely be great! Patience will be rewarded, I believe in that! ❤️ 😊

Yes!! It was Kjun himself who made me realize this while I was reading his post.
I noticed that NPCs behave the same way no matter which city they’re in.
And that’s kind of a missed opportunity, because it would be so interesting to see cultural differences reflected through them — like how daily life feels different in Korea, the US, etc.

Ok so I've been thinking about the elder zois. And I don't know if this is true but... Honestly I would love for the elders zoi and baby + toddler zoi life to be meaningful and a system they can remember, I would love for a zoi that has a bussiness to be able to take vacation, elder zois making their last wish on paper before court ( we can use the courtsystem when a rich elder dies and who receives what and be able to decide that as well in the choice menu bar ). Their deaths will be meaningful after their long life hard work. To be able to do payed hobbies and have a pension when they retire. They still get money from the system ( maybe when we have a new town that is from Europe we can have that system)

Hey kjun I just wanted to add on to ur brainstorming about jobs and more things can we please get a baby daycare for like newborns and toddlers and get to experience going inside the daycare with kids or just stending a day with them at school and same goes for all kids oh and also can we have payable hospitals meaning maybe we wanna work at the hospitals or maybe we wanna work as a teacher we also may want a hair and nail salon and can we run multiple businesses and work at multiple jobs
