It’s already the last Friday before the December update. The official patch notes will be released on the 23rd next week, but since you are the one team building inZOI together with us, we’re sharing them with you a little earlier here on Discord. Please understand that some development details may still change over the weekend.
We’re also giving you an early look at a video currently in the final stages of this week’s development.
Today was a hectic day as we wrapped up the December update, but we managed to spend a fun moment together with the development team. I’ve just returned to the studio and wanted to send this message and materials to you right away.
If more videos or materials come together, we’d love to share the inZOI team's little celebration with you as well.

Amazing I love the group dynamics so much, the family trees, the businesses system is so cool and complex and the next things I’m excited for would be the CALENDAR!!! I can’t wait to have actual holidays and the ability for holiday events to actually be associated to a season!! Oh and I also can’t wait for strollers🥰

  • ‼️Extra Note: I was watching gameplay diaries video and saw that skin tone was included into the style presets and that doesn’t make much sense because I love that it includes hair makeup accessories and clothes but it is called a “style” preset and I don’t understand why a Zoi’s entire skin would change when they put on a different style so could you please remove the skin from style presets in the future thanks! Also saw tha CAZ presets will now include traits and ambitions which is very nice but still don’t understand when I want my Zoi to try on different styles I’ll have to keep changing back they’re skin tone lol

I'm VERY happy that you finally let us upload public property on canvas, it's a game changer and will help players to customize their world. Great job 👏🏼 🏆.

I really like all the things you mentioned in this video. 2025 is coming to an end and the game already improved so much in less than a year.

My hope for 2026 is that you will be now exclusively focusing on improving existing features and stop adding new ones. Down the line we'll have DLC to buy to have new features. As a base game, I feel we already have a ton of things but they all need to be polished. We need :
▪️ Cahaya to be 100% done
▪️Better group interactions
▪️Better autonomy and multitask
▪️Better events around the city (this has been mentioned and explained in details for months)
▪️Make the gameplay more fluid

‼️ I was expecting major changes in the December update, but I was disappointed. Many features do not appear to be included in the December update.
‼️ And another important issue is that the distance culling feature seems to be in a worse state in the December update. I watched the early access videos of inZOI partners about the December update, and I was very disappointed.

✨I would like to share a concern about the current distance culling system (where Zois and vehicles disappear at long distances).

This feature seriously breaks immersion.
When nearby areas feel alive but everything disappears when looking into the distance, the world feels empty and artificial.

For an open-world life simulation, empty streets and disappearing Zois and vehicles are completely against the core concept of a living world.
Although I understand this was added for performance reasons, the trade-off feels wrong, as immersion and realism are heavily sacrificed.

Many players—especially those with higher-end PCs—would prefer a world that remains alive at all distances.
At the very least, an option to disable or adjust distance culling would allow players to choose between performance and immersion.

inZOI’s greatest strength is its promise of a wide, free, and immersive open world, and I hope this vision can be preserved.

Vehicles Jet skis and hovercrafts have been added
A Theater has been added to Dowon and Bliss Bay. However, it is currently still under construction and cannot be accessed. In a future update, the Theater will be improved so that staff turn on the screen at set times and customers enter to watch the show

I really like what's included in this update. I'm so excited about our Zoi's being able to drink alcohol! I'm also excited about the court system. I'm still really saddened and disappointed about the exclusion of the promised strollers though. 😭 I was really looking forward to them. I just hope they aren't put on the back burner and forgotten. Players have been asking for them. A gentle reminder that we aren't asking for perfection, just release them. They can always be improved with hotfixes. I'm begging you to release them in a hotfix or in a sooner update. I would really like for the baby objects and props we have to be in use. On another note, will our Zoi's get to join the carolers? For example if our Zoi has a high enough singing skill ?

I’ll also act as a mediator in this matter, and I still want to point out that the crowd density in the October update generally pleased me. Venues literally held 15 Zois before FPS drops, and streets up to 30 Zois. But these were genuinely crowded parks, sidewalks, and pedestrian crossings. If other players suggested setting distances in the options – that’s fine, but not to “spread” those Zois across distance, rather to add more. In December update footage, though, the distances are actually short (2-30 m), but there are no previous crowds at all. Although in UE5.6 one of the features is optimized crowds.

So the first request to Kjun is not to make it worse than in October. If this already pleased players to the point that all of Reddit went crazy, the crowds should be kept.

I’m happy and excited for new update. 🥳😀But I really hope that’s not all. Cause I was most excited for family tree,baby and toddler interactions. I want to take my babies and toddlers to the beach and family gatherings. Go to the park and go for walks with them. And I really would like for Zois to not be startled every time a Zoi ages up. It’s super annoying when you made dinner for the Zois, and they get startled or astonished due to seeing people use the bathroom, but no one is in the bathroom🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️ and then they get up, wash the dishes, and there goes the meal you made. And I play family, so it takes time to cook for a family of 8.We really need more meals with more plates to dish out all at once. And we need to buy more ingredients in a store for food,buy clothes and put crops in fridge. That be super nice. 😊

Hi kjun, thank you for all your hard work on the game. I saw the new update from two German partners and it's really great! What I noticed—if I saw correctly—is that we have such great clothes, but unfortunately only one selection per category. Will that change?

Aww well I really hope at least the group system with all of the Zoi’s doing group yoga and other things together will be in this one bc it’s a game changer to make it feel more like a game.
Hoping they add more group things and more things to do outside the house so here’s my suggestions for more fun group events like the ones we have now:

  • Beach Volleyball hangout- we get invited to watch beach volleyball tournaments by other Zoi friends and they maybe get a special beach ball that only winners can have😂
  • Beach foot races- maybe we get invited at the beach to do “Beach foot race” against each other to see who wins and then it’s a thing that gets talked about amongst text messages for days bc that would be fun!
  • Also this reminds me it would be cool to be able to make group chats among friends and they’ll be able to invite you to different things and travel outside of the city not just with household members but with friend groups!
  • Festivals/ contests: hot dog eating contest, best harvest contests, cooking contests, swimming contest, etc
    All in all just more gameplay things to do around the city would make meeting zois more fun and things that immerses the player into their Zoi’s life and i know this will come overtime but things like this would make day to day life more fun to play as well as adding drama situations and adding more reactions from npcs and memory systems that actually effect lasting behavior.

One feature that is not so interesting is unable to use City Travel if engaged in any business-related
activities. like owning a business property, having a registered business, or
being employed by a business. And Zois have to sell all businesses and business properties or leave their business employment. As for City Travel, are Zois able to travel to player's progressing city map or still landing at default map with default premade families, NPCs? I am looking forward and waiting patiently for this feature to happen. Please enable this feature and make it happen - tavelling to another city loads the saved world state (player's progressing saved world map) instead the default state. Thank you.

Read through the entire patch notes and im amazed by how much you guys managed to develop in such a short time (barely 3 months passed since the October update!). I really love what I saw of the rural Canvas Town, I hope it'll be included soon because if I read the patch notes correctly, canvas towns won't come with next week's update yet.

Adding so many big new systems, I will expect some bugs and glitches. I'll do my best to report them through proper channels. Really excited to play and I also can't wait for everything that's still to come next year!

It could literally be added within the next 1 or 2 months dude, that ain't too far imo 😅 The idea is always get foundation system in place, eg. basic weather system and basic calendar/schedule system, then slowly expand upon it like they have now.
I guess family calendar is being added first, because they've been working on lots of family systems and updates in recent months, and this update will be the first natural weather system(aka. foundation), being added to the game, so the seasonal calendar is not that far off~~ Psycat_ThumbsUp
I can't fully speak for the devs, but in case you didn't know they had a lot of big important systems and bugs to fix first in the last 6 months, so obviously the seasonal calendar was not that high on the priority list etc. etc. Psycat_3

Earlier I said that I love creating characters and was faced with a lack of capabilities in the character editor, (face part presets) I also love to build, the orphan mode does not seem very difficult to me, but there is enough variety in the available home designs, I would like to build not only classic houses but something unusual like this

which was previously available only for October, can now be obtained
without any time restrictions.

This is good - I don't like time restrictions for this kind of thing, even though I already have the outfits.

You have added a lot of nice things since release but this update is what I've been looking for love those group interactions and multitasking the 3 ZOIs actually dancing together is perfection, a dorky dance is just what I needed everyone should not be a skilled dancer, eating and doing yoga together is great more of this especially for the basketball hoop and that volleyball net at the beach. Even though worlds are not a top priority for me right now I do love that you added a country style world I have never enjoyed building in city worlds so its more my style though I do hope much later into development you add in a full sized country world with some farming small town life gameplay for it but for now I'd prefer you continue improve systems especially retail, add in more animations gameplay and male hair as your top priority.

Any chance of having the rest of the pre-Cahaya UI as menu option as well later ? Stuff like :

  • The small urges window, with the white bar on each urge growing shorter them less time you have

You have got to let all outfit categories save on Zoi presets. This is is very important and NEEDS to be prioritized. CAZ is extremely inconvenient without this very basic feature.

Loved reading through these patch notes! There are a lot of major changes in there that I’m so excited to try out! 😍

One thing I hope will change with future updates is how City Travel works. At the moment, you can’t travel if you have active loans, Zois don’t progress or age in other worlds you’re not playing in, relationships don’t actively carry over, not even to text or call your friends in other cities to check on them, and now you can’t even City Travel if you own or work at a business. It’s purely a moving system than a vacation system, even though vacationing was how it was advertised, so I think it’s important to make the traveling system more flexible and less isolated.

Please allow all the cities to seamlessly work together as a complete system one day with aging, relationships, business properties (managing businesses globally with hired employees would be so cool), and all other factors flowing together 🙏 Deep, realistic, and immersive storytelling depends on it, now that traveling between cities is possible at all.

The current way of age and progression-freezing for “inactive” cities could be an optional toggle for people who appreciate that restrictive control and security.

You cannot use City Travel if you are engaged in any business-related activities.

From what I expect from inZOI before release (based on the USP and the devlogs). ofc, there may be more core systems, but I’ll only add those I mentioned earlier.

• Improved NPC crowds, adaptive behaviour model, LLM (AI dialogue system): recognition, relationships, memory, family groups with strollers and children on playgrounds, couples, social groups (joggers, commuters etc.)
Memory system (initially scheduled for Dec 2025) and enhanced storytelling features – improved quality photo mode / video, Timeline (reel) / photo album, Calendar system.
Bubbly social media, accounts, followers, posts (milestones, moments, text/photos), reactions, city-wide news, rumors, trends, community activity, maybe dating app, and other immersion-enhancing features.
• Improved Karma system + Ghost Play + reincarnation / fate (Fate Engine).
• Improved personality model (Traits and Characteristics) with progression and evolution across life stages and experience (not hardcoded).
• Fixed and improved Control City Status / Manage City options (City Safety, Conversation Positivity etc.) for flexibly customizable experience.
• Improved City Appearance option (holiday city decorations available for customization).
• Staying in hotels instead of buying houses via Move Cities, with other existing systems improved and working across all cities (ocean exploration, yachts, hotels, spa etc.)
• Fixed and improved Vehicle parking and management, functional parking lots and garages; convertibles, pickup trucks etc.
Customizable HUD, ability to free up screen space as an option and choose pre-v0.3 (smaller avatar, tiny emotion dots/bars, wants etc.)

I love theres going to be a more rural country area for canvas town. I like thisvis giving more midwest feel, and would love to see southern inspired country map too!

But I wish there were different levels of elevation throughout the landscape, some hills that houses could be built on as well, maybe some shops/towns higher or lower in elevation, to break up the flat land map, that we can drive around through too for scenic views and having zois exercise 😊. Also i think it could benefit from more tree variety like (pine trees, willow, spruce, magnolia) and bushes, maybe a couple ponds and a wide river or smaller rivers running through the map too.

I also noticed no trace of the presumed control over the age group length in the upcoming patch
I am very sad about this. It was teased in the october update and have been waiting for this since June of this year. Please find a way to put it in, even if with a crude menu option or cheat codes at least... It would be something until the full thing is ready (assuming not ready).

Please make it possible, this is super important for me to enjoy playing a SERIOUS game in InZOI.

Yeah.. I'm not sure canvastown would be the best for this id prefer if they have a new city just for camping/cottage life.

We would need the ability to have tents, there should be hills, waterfall, forest, hiking trails, deer and bear possibly.

I really want a map based on this with that in mind. Preferably that map could be the size of dowon/or bliss bay. I would want it to be bigger esp if they add horses to the game so that we have more roads to ride on

Features I am waiting for and hope that it’s still considered:

  • Phone: Ability for players to send their own text from typing on keyboard. Last time I remember it was in development

  • Memory System

  • Better personality improvement with animation and better animation

  • Dialogue with LLM AI (Game changer)

  • More interaction animations. More things for zois to do with or interact with families, friends, and romantic partners.

  • Ocean exploration

  • First person mode (Because InZoi is a life stimulation Shrugs)

  • Multitasking

  • Known features being polished and expanded on. (Making sure it’s less janky)

  • Kpop Career expansion and depth

  • Making task, goals, progress/progression feels important and affect gameplay.

  • Expanding Ghost-play and add lore

(For me personally, I feel like if half of these features are in InZoi, I would play InZoi often. I would like to add this: I would like more different types of reaction animation TO a conversation. Let’s say we greet a npc politely, they might just give a thumbs up, wave, OR do a different animation to greet us rather than the same animation reaction we already seen thousands of times. Maybe give npc three different types of reactions. These different types of reactions will keep things less repetitive, because you don’t know which animation will come up when a npc greets you back)

Oh, I also forgot to mention that for Canvastown I’d like to see advanced settings inside the existing Edit City / City Appearance – definitely trees/vegetation, animals, decorations as they are now, but perhaps more expanded? Things like region (lat/long), weather, terrain types (soil, grass), vegetation density, style, backdrop, roads and sidewalks, street props (lamps/poles/benches/…), water, FX, and as I mentioned earlier – holiday city‑wide decorations, etc.

There was also mention of the ** NPC customization**, adjusting population, gender, race, and appearance to populate the world, as it is currently hardcoded in Data Assets for each city + Control City.

I think that if such logic is enabled, then essentially the devs can later just keep adding various sizes, road structures, and variety of settings with updates / DLCs, while players would be able to customize to their liking, whether it’s the Dowon district, a forest region, a canyon, or the North Pole, or post-apocalyptic, or Wild West, or retro-futurism, or cyberpunk – and share and download what they want.

I agree with everything you listed and hope the dev allows us access to them and allow porting in terrain objects from other asset stores too.

We really really need that demographics setting opened up and accessible too so this is exciting its being talked about. Ive been talking about it for the longest and im sure others have too lol. Ever since I saw it in LBY I was like oh we need this here too 😍 because this will players to create niche worlds be it fantasy or real life inspired, with full control.

I can't believe it's coming next week on the 23rd of December, what a Christmas miracle. I have more interesting ideas for crime when criminal zois starts breaking and entering. When dealing with CCTV, I recall Metal Gear Solid from early this year, when I saw Solid Snake use Chaff Grenades to temporarily disable even the most sophisticated electronic devices in a room, such as CCTV, with thin pieces of electromagnetic particles, most electronic devices in a room, like CCTV, until the chaff dissipates. An even easier way is EMP Grenades, which disable them for a longer time, so criminal zois can steal everything before CCTV comes back online. They are non-lethal projectile gadgets, so it's a nice future idea to expand on a perfect new year for 2026!

I fully agree with you, any customization options that can be offered are always better than static config. Kjun promoted customization as one of inZOI’s core strengths, starting from pre‑EA interviews and continuing during brainstorms. I believe the same and tend to advocate for it – whether in Live / BB mode, or in Manage City / Canvastown (CAW):

Will we have more career options ? For example we have a hospital in both Dowon and bliss bay, but there's no Dr career. It would be nice to have different health care tracks like doctors, nurses, cnas. Another cool idea for when you add universities (fleshed out I mean) would he a medical school/nursing school track. It would be cool to have the students do clinicals at the hospital. I just would like to see some more uses with the hospital. More illnesses, injuries etc.

And regarding NPC crowds/groups, by December the following was intended to be implemented:

Some of you also asked for a “living world” — where stories between NPCs unfold on their own, such as witnessing accidents or arguments, allowing the player to feel like part of the world rather than its center. In the October update, a small portion of this system will be included. It’s still in an early stage, but my long-term dream is to create a world like Ready Player One.
Players also requested … NPCs who recognize each other and behave differently depending on their relationships. … These improvements will be included in the December update.
For example, during dates or family trips to amusement parks, Zois will engage in more conversations and interactions with each other. Once this system is implemented, families will naturally talk more often and move together when visiting parks. That’s the development goal — it’s a difficult system to build, but I’m determined to make it happen.

🎭 !BRING some COMEDY/WHIMSICAL into InZoi! 🎭

Kjun, don’t be afraid of adding some Comedy into InZoi. In real life, many things can be comedic. (Maybe the InZoi team might have fun with this?)

Here are some comedy “scenarios” examples:

  • A zoi eating too much food and uses the bathroom, and the bathroom will stink really bad 👉 later another zoi comes into the stinky bathroom and they gag at how smelly it is, and above their head will says: “Ah! I’m dying from this stink!” OR “Smells like someone died in here.” OR “It smells like a dumpster!”

  • A zoi can eat too many candy and have sugar rush, causing them to be jittery and too energetic, maybe they might even puke rainbow candies before saying “That was a crazy trip.” (If InZoi’s rating was higher, I would have suggest “That was a hell of a trip!”)

  • Burglar breaking in to steal from someone poor can shake their head and shrug while saying “Damn this person poor.” OR “Heh, I can do better than this person 😏”
    -# Don’t mind my cringe dialogue examples.

👆These are just some comedy moments I thought of that does happen in real life to people. There so many ways to put comedy in InZoi without it being too cartoony. Utilizing words over zois head with animation for some comedy purposes, because not doing it is a miss opportunity. Kjun, I would like to see you include comedy to InZoi.

Now that we'll be getting a court system it would be cool if added services can be added to the courthouse down the road. For example, name changes. This would be interesting for storytelling for married Zois and transgender Zois.

Another interesting function would be courthouse weddings. With getting married at the courthouse it would be a much smaller and simpler wedding.

I wonder why can’t we directly confront a npc on some things the npc did to us like how npc booing us, farting near us, or when they almost hit us with a vehicle? I wonder if Kjun will allow us to confront npc directly base on these scenarios because we can’t do it currently.

For example for your understanding:

  • If your zoi farts 👉 near a npc zoi, the npc zoi might confront your zoi about being “disgusting,” OR if a npc zoi farts near you, you can confront that farting npc with this: “Confront about the fart.” OR “Embarrass them for farting” OR “FART BACK 💨” (It might be funny)

  • If we almost hit a npc zoi with our vehicle, we should be able go to the npc zoi and 👉 “Apologize for possible accident” OR “Blame them for being in the way.”

  • When a npc “boo 👎” us when we sing, we should be able to confront the npc about that specific booing.

Now, these conversational choices should only appear available AFTER a situation related to it has happened. What do I mean by that? The option to confront a npc farting at you has to happen before the “confrontation” option can appear (this is for immersive purposes) Why I suggest this is because, yeah, we can confront npc but do our zoi and npc know what the offense was that’s being confronted about, if the confrontation isn’t specific on which offense was done?

This new country map is giving Oklahoma/Pleasant View vibes which is nice but yeah i want them to add more to it even if we dont get the hills. We need rivers and creeks and stuff in it, and more objects like windmills, and patch grass, water cisterns, and barns!

Thats why we gotta talk more about terrain maps tools cause that's the only way we will get them to notice, "Hey we have a player base who keeps suggesting terrain mapping and editor tools".

Maybe it’s just me but I noticed making butts in InZoi looks unnatural or limited to one look. InZoi still needs improvement to make different types of butts and for butts to look more natural, instead of making it look like surgery implants that’s gone wrong. Adjustments on the butts that should be there is: the side parts of the butt, top part of butt, middle part (fullness), and bottom part of butt.

But none of these are visible at all. There was so much feedback, and I don’t understand why these were removed from the December update.

  1. Where is the option for separate hairstyles and makeup for each clothing category for Zois?

  2. The distance culling feature was supposed to be improved, but on the contrary, it looks worse in the December update. When I look into the distance, the streets feel empty and lifeless—there are no cars and no Zois. Where is this update?

  3. There has been no proper explanation about Canvastown. Where is it?

  4. Also, in-room temperature was supposed to be added to the game, but this is not there either.

!!! Once again, many things seem to have been abandoned in the December update. I feel disappointed. I’m sorry, Kjun… This didn’t turn out well 🙁 @proper peak

I’m glad to see that Canvas Town feels more like a country town rather than another large, city-style setting. That said, I’m not a fan of the wide, “big city” streets, and the town itself feels a bit too small.

I was hoping for more wooded areas and winding, less structured roads that lead to different parts of the map. Ideally, there would be a small town center with roads branching out to farms, cabins, and more rural locations beyond the core.

Hi Kjun, I'm so excited for the December update next week. I have a suggestion that I would like to present to you.
When the kid zois are at school, instead of making a rabbit hole, have the kids answer questions, interact with each other and work together to get tasks done.
The kids can also multi-task by talking to each other and doing the work at the same time.
When the zoi misbehaves, the teacher can either give them warnings or send them to principals room or give them detention and when a zoi is feeling upset, they can tell the teacher and they can give them some support.
I would really like you to concentrate with this update so that there isn't any bugs or mistakes/ lags and I really appreciate your feedback and tell me if this idea would work. Thanks 👍
P.S. This isn't really a big deal but with this idea, you could include a school customization

**Suggestions for different Shelter Types for Rags to Riches (Dumpster + Cardbard Box + Cars) & Crime **

Per the recent patch notes [v.0.5.0]: **“zois who stay in the rain for over an hour will now catch a cold” **this will most definitely affect players who like to do rags to riches.

Where can zois take shelter during rain storms or during winter if homeless and trying to avoid getting sick?

Here are three shelters ideas I believe would not only add gameplay, but add to the immersion of surviving different weather conditions when doing rags to riches gameplay.

Cardboard Box Shelter

Sticks, boxes and trash are already items in the game, by gathering all three items and having the ability to craft a cardboard box shelter from these items that a zoi can stay in when it’s raining or during winter to stay warm would definitely add gameplay content and realism.

The durability of the cardboard box shelter should wane over time - especially when used when it’s raining or snowing. Not only because this would naturally happen in reality, but to also encourage players to explore their surroundings again when the cardboard box shelter is worn down to craft another shelter if needed.

**Dumpster **

A dumpster is another great place a zoi can seek shelter to sleep, stay warm and be dry during different weather conditions.

Additionally, it can also be a great place to temporarily hide from police if a zoi committed a crime and is trying to escape without being caught 👀👀👀

Fix these long standing Issues

  • Fix Zois are throwing items away that we brought or received! Give the player the ability to click the items we want to keep and click “Keep Item,” so zois DON’T EVER throw those items out (only items that isn’t picked to “keep” can be thrown)

  • We need assign closet because adults or kids are going into each others room to dress. I saw a adult zoi go into a kid’s bedroom to change with the dresser, instead of the adult’s own room where a dresser is already in there.

  • A zoi that’s using the toilet should lock the bathroom door automatically and the door will unlock when the zoi is not using the toilet. For public bathroom, the door entry to the bathroom shouldn’t be lock except for the bathroom stall’s door.

  • Being able to lock certain rooms from other zois in the house. (Though, if you are a criminal, you can lock pick locked rooms)

  • Fix zois randomly glitch on top table when calling zois to eat.

  • Fix events not appearing on schedules (Also, the recent one is the court)

  • Fix the long pause and pink screen whenever we exit build mode.

Maybe hairs should have a different set so it doesn’t clip through outfits, for example, you can already have a hairstyle without the accessories so why not one for making hair not clip through clothing?

I don't mind the walk cycles you presented. Since Inzoi has more realistic graphics it would be strange if they walked too "silly". What I mean by this is realistic movements and not too exaggerated. Whimsical is fine but in the extreme can be a bit off-putting.

I hope we can have a feature interaction where we can select how many zois will be performing a family celebration meal feast, where it plays a whole animation of a family feast, yes. This will be detailed animation. The “Family celebration feast” animation will show zois passing plates, passing food or drinks, eating, clinking drinks all in one table together. This will be an animation interaction triggering multiple zoi’s involvement in it, and yes, doing this interaction should fill up the hunger bar. People want multitasking, but I think this way of doing interaction should be included if multitasking these family meals scene is too difficult, so I correlated animation should help too? There should be at least two different animation even as we click the same interaction.

Yeah, the zois needs to blink and move their eyes sometimes when walking around, because they don’t have any eye movements or don’t seem to blink. You also mentioned how the zoi didn’t look at the tv when the couch is placed side ways. Zois should LOOK directly at what they are interacting with too, like turning their head and looking with the eyes.

I saw all the videos and read the patch notes and all I can say is thank you for implementing so many of my requests, such as bartending, nightclubs and beach clubs in Cahaya, dance battles, couples dances, performance areas… the list goes ON! Kjun and the inZOI team are THE BEST! Thank you for this MASSIVE UPDATE!

Proposal for adding groupchat text messaging:

  • By selecting multiple Zoi’s from their contacts these Zoi’s can be apart of their own group message together (the same way it would work in real life). In this space, Zoi’s can send invites, have gossip sessions, plan out what they want to do for the day together, and eventually propose trips to go outside of the city together.
  • By allowing non NPCs the ability to send out invites for group events, this will allow Zoi’s to message their groupchat inviting them out to the club, out for a picnic, a beach volleyball game, go to the movies, go shopping, and all of the group events that came in the last update!
    -This would be a fun way to organize different friend groups to hangout and plan their schedules together instead of just calling them over and having to wait or have them say they’re busy or having to edit each of their schedules one by one to line up.

-if something is sold out and a customer complains cashier could say with text over head (if cooking is in progress for said item) it'll trigger response "there's a 1 hr wait for restock" or if not 'We're not getting anymore until tomorrow'

  • I think for retail where there's food, we should be able to sell all the coffee beverages, drink beverages, and then pick unlimited food items or at least 20 food items which would be separate from drinks.

Courthouse

  • we need bailiffs inside the court house standing guard and while in the courtroom in officer uniform, including a secretary where the criminal under police escort checks in, and the secretary can pick up the phone to tell the judge the criminal has arrived

CRIME FEEDBACK

  • if you're in jail you shouldn't be able to use your cell phone or use inventory items it should be disabled and inventory items should be taken away, but we should have the option to make a phone call to someone our zoi knows instead. Also once our zoi leaves the jail/prison they'll get their belongings back excluding food.
  • If youre doing crimes on the computer the police shouldn't automatically come in our zoi's homes but it should happen after a period of time.
    ⦁ Police escort to courthouse if you're going to hire a lawyer for trial I think that would be more immersive and cool

FEEDBACK Part 1.

Things I'd like to see Added for Bakery Food Items

  • Being able to buy: slices of pie or a whole pie. A slice of cake cost difference can be set, separately from a whole pie. Same for other things like cookies/cupcakes/doughnuts/ muffins; we pick how many we want to buy vs a whole dozen. Pizza slice vs whole pizza pie. If we but a whole pie/pizza/or dozen muffins etc. they should come in a box.

Animations
⦁ Workers reach inside the bakery stand then picking up an item and then handing it to the customer in a bag. Idk if this is asking for a lot but if a character buys more than 5 items at once it should appear in a bigger paper bag or big box.

  • Customers needing to wait in line to order
    ⦁ If food quality is bad and characters are eating they should frown while eating nothing exaggerated but just a slight frown and a sad head shakes would be funny! On the other hand if food quality is great they'll nod with satisfaction.

Hiring Employees

  • There should be a list of NPCs ready to be hired & playable zois already in the world to hire when you open a business, then they'd come in for a interview. But also it would be really cool, if characters were able to come by the business and ask if they're hiring.

Takeout or Dining In

  • Ability to ask for food to go or dine inside the coffee shop/bakery.

Business Property
⦁ If a business is part of a multi-story building there should be a way to be able to have more than one business on the lot for purchase, because there was a sign in the let's play video saying 'For Lease' in front of stairs, there should be an option to buy the rest of the spaces on the other floor levels too either by us or characters in the city.

Christmas Holiday Presents

  • Instead of the game requiring you to get a gift from a booth it'd be nice if we could also just purchase something and then click it in the inventory to become a gift for another character as well.

Please don't write me off, to have a game with a court system, but is putting introvert and fitness enthusiast in the same group as "traits" is absolutely insane 🙁 We deserve personality archetypes, traits (expressions of those archetypes), values, love languages, likes/dislikes/loves, and maybe even zodiac signs. Idk but I NEED my zois to have depth and each be different, hope its not too late to change the personality system.

Hi kjun i love how much effort you are putting to the game but i have a concern, why if pc right now are more powerfull we need to cut out the inmersive experience in inzoi, sorry for those who dont have the money or have the chance to have a high quality and powerfull computer but I need more open world immersion, I want more firts person development, I need more map upgrades like hills, bridges, a whole new driving system more fluid and realistic, I want more sims interactions on the street to fell more alive and I have to say it is kind of stressing seeing cars and people disappear when they are far away

Kjun, it seems like the zois are building the snowman from the top to bottom, but in real life, you build a snowman from bottom to top. Also sim’s snowman animation was a bit better, use it for some examples.

So I left a few threads in the forum’s brainstorm section.

Please, Kjun, Team, pay attention to the ultimate personality system – it’s the very core of a life simulator.

For now, it seems more like limited presets for static action play scenarios. The Enneagram was interesting if developed further as a popular model with its other parts, but the 1/18 hard‑coded traits inherited from it + 2 mandatory are not so much. Even in the first OCEAN 30 Truity’s Personality Test model, traits could be selected for each life stage (up to 5). Or compared to LBY, where personality tags were divided into Talents, Attitudes, Lifestyles, Quirks, and even Backgrounds, which include backstory (artistic family, city upbringing, criminal background, family secret, frugal childhood, etc.), and they were optional to select, but limited to 10 (2 in each category).

(I agree with you BUT I heard it might be impossible to do that, sadly, so here’s my solution.)

Some things that will give Zois more personality

  • Different voice pitch and sounds for different zois. (Also being able to pick your own Zoi’s voice pitch/sound)

  • Different walk styles to pick from and zois having their own different walk styles. (Also being able to pick your own walk styles)

  • Traits should also affect talk animation reaction to other zois sometimes, this adds more personality. 👇

For EXAMPLE, Zois have their own two traits personality currently, so how you talk to another zoi, they should react to that conversation in animation differently to other zois SOMETIMES because of their traits. (My suggestion here has nothing to do with positive or negative reactions/consequences). Let me farther explain: Let’s say two Zois did a “greet politely” in interaction but they have different traits personally? If one Zoi has the introvert trait and the other Zoi has the extrovert trait: The Zoi that has the extroverted trait may be more cheerful and energetic in animation when they do the “greet politely” interaction, but the Zoi with the Introvert trait doing the same “greet politely” interaction may be more reserve looking but still polite in animation. I think these depth and different details from traits personality are very important when showing different personalities. Having traits shines through “ANIMATION” would make Zoi’s personality more realistic and unique. (Again, what I mean by animation HERE isn’t about negative or positive consequences, it’s just animation that stems from the traits)

And yes we NEED more traits personality and more traits slots, because we only have two 🥲 maybe add a third or fourth one will be good.

More example is a zoi with a shy trait, their animation when doing “greets politely” will be different compared to a “Extrovert zoi.” Which means, the shy zoi will greet “shyly” in animation, for example, the zoi might hold their own arm as they greet or do something shy in reaction/body animation. The extroverted zoi’s animation for “greet politely” might be more energetic and cheerful. Adding these detail to animation to more different types of conversations would add more personality for zois, depending on their traits!

Yes! I definitely feel we need walkstyles to start off, different voices, and then different animation styles attached to each personality type or traits that affect the way they socialize. Like a confident Zoi doing the “talk about mint chocolate” interaction will look different from a shy Zoi doing the same animation. Sense they say they will be mainly focusing on polishing pre existing features for the next year once they polish the character development and existing animations here’s the next things I think they should focus on adding if anything:

  • Grocery stores- shopping and working at one
  • Clothing Stores- better shopping system and ability to work there
  • Hair Salons/ Barbershops- the ability to provide and receive services and own as a business
  • Nail Salons- the ability to work there, receive service here, and own as a business
  • Lawyer career- the ability to work as an active career sense now we have an active court system, this shouldn’t be too hard
    Some things that still need to be polished are:
  • Personality depth system- different walkstyles, different voices, and the same animations looking different across personalities
  • Swimming- automatic swimming
  • Eating animations
  • Amusement park rides- 3rd person view and more than one Zoi at a time
    Probably lots of others but these are some key things here🙌

Yess all of this! Rlly hoping for a barbershop/hair salon in the future alongside even a tattoo shop.

Walkstyles are really important in showing personality and I hope they add different sets of teeth like braces, gap teeth etc

An overhaul of the laundry system would be great with actual animations of the zois putting the clothes and soap into the washer having a dryer, and once they zoi take a shower it could prompt clothes to be left on the floor that they would have to wash. This level of detail would add so much to the game!

  • Police fining your zoi should not be the same animation as being arrested.
  • Npc should carry purchased food on a plate instead of holding with hand. Npc customers should be able order a “to go” food/drink/dessert by purchasing food directly from the worker behind the counter at cash register, where the food items or drink will be secure in a nice bag and handed to npc customers. Being able to hire a worker who can collect multiple dishes in one go to wash the dishes, this would be nice.
  • In the future, hopefully the beautiful singing and music doesn’t abruptly cut off but should end more normally and naturally.
  • I would love to see these holidays events more, like having multiple other events.

I didn’t even realize because I was very hyper focused on other features 😆 but yeah, sound effects for different places should be added. Stepping on water should sound like water, stepping on sand should sound like sand, stepping on gravel should like gravel etc.

I would like to suggest an improvement for the game's movement mechanics. Currently, the "Zoys" do not follow the player character when using the keyboard's WASD keys to walk. It would be interesting if the Zoys could follow the player, similar to how children or spouses follow the character during walks or runs. They could follow the character anywhere, whether it's a family walk on the beach or taking their children to school on foot. This would make the gameplay experience more dynamic and interactive.

Ive heard it's been confirmed pets are coming to the base game and that's great! I would also love if horses would be added to pets or in next year's roadmap

I believe that the inclusion of horses would definitely attract so many players to the game ESP if you have wasd keys to control and ride on them.

Having the ability to brush your horses mane, go to the stables to buy new saddles/change the hair color. Their could be a new horse riding skill that gets better as you ride them

Hi Kjun, I can’t wait for the December update.
Some things that I hope are fixed next year (Part1):
Auto lights- I saw this mentioned earlier that you would try to include this in the December update, but I didn’t see it mentioned in the patch notes.
Toddlers and Adolescents: Not to sound like a broken record, but I really hope you guys are going to make toddlers taller than they are now and shorter than children. Adolescents should be taller than children and shorter than teens. As it stands right now, it breaks immersion. The younger life stages should be like stair steps until they become a teenager, and elders should be shorter than middle-aged Zois, as you lose some of your height as you age.
Moving Households: Please fix it so that Zoi’s can move houses, whether they are pregnant or have toddlers and babies in the household. I shouldn’t have to wait for them to be children to move to a bigger house.
Pregnant Zoi’s: Right now, when I am not playing other households, Zoi’s can get pregnant. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but if I have aging off, I would like pregnant Zoi’s to stay pregnant instead of having lots of babies (they all stay infants because I have aging off). I would also like to be able to have Zoi’s on birth control to limit the number of babies being born, or to have the option at the hospital to have a procedure where some Zoi’s won’t have children.
Twins and triplets: There should be a small chance of having twins and triplets in game
Animations: Some animations need work. Building a snowman is one of them. Also, eating a cupcake and ice cream could be better. Walking up stairs looks odd as well.
Roll genetics in CAZ: We really need a way to create biological families in CAZ.
CAZ: Please add all life stages to CAZ (Infants, toddlers, and adolescents). We also need more clothes for children, toddlers, and infants. Different hairstyles and accessories. Men’s clothing is also lacking.

Cafe Business

  • I think its odd we have glasses of juice on shelves in the coffee shops. Itd be better if we had staff fill the cups up for customers instead using the drink dispenser (photo below) if theyre dining inside. Then if theyre taking it to go it should look like a bottle in pic below.
  • Itd also be nice if customers carried bags in their hand, when they leave a bakery/coffee shop after buying food to go, which can also be placed in the inventory.

Some things that I hope are fixed next year (Part2):
Parenting: I hope next year to see different ways to discipline our Zoi’s kids. (grounding, time out, and lecturing) I would like to see parents be able to hug, give forehead kisses, and snuggle their kids. (Using “Kids” to mean teens and younger) Tuck them into bed and read bedtime stories.
Toys: We need toy boxes, dollhouses, a toy easel (for Toddlers and children to color pictures to hang around the house), bikes, tricycles, trampolines, skateboards, merry-go-rounds, taller slides, and outside playhouses. (Please make the jungle gyms in Cahaya playable and put them in the buy/build catalog.)
Infants: Being able to learn to roll over, sit up, stand next to furniture, and crawl. We need cribs, changing tables, playpens, baby swings, play (floor) mat, and rattles that the player can buy.
Toddlers: Learn to walk, talk, and use the potty. They should also be able to learn to ride a tricycle. We should have a variety of toddler beds.
Children: They should be able to play tag, jump rope, play cops and robbers, engage in imaginative play, and play rock, paper, scissors.
Adolescents: Should be able to do a mix of what children and teens can do. (Example: They should still be able to play with toys, but they can also get crushes on other Zoi’s their age)
Teens: They should be able to start dating, sneak out of the house, pull pranks on younger siblings and friends, and introduce boy/girlfriend to their parents.

This is great! Following the Big 5 Model was my initial idea, however I thought a sliding scale for each level would be best, because it's so much deeper than being "introverted" for example. Someone who is introverted, can express that their introverted by being reclusive/loner (purposefully cutting oneself off from social interaction), or being timid/meek (introversion rooted in social anxiety/fear), those are two completely different types of introversion that deserve distinction. I also thought, it should continue to be expanded from there through exact behaviors, like maybe being contemplative or a homebody. Although, I actually really like the talents, attitudes, quirks, etc attributes, I think that'd be a great way to expand on the Big 5 Model. The Openness, Extraversion, Conscientiousness, Agreeableness and Neuroticism sliding scales (for example with introversion, moderately introverted, to mildly introverted, to ambivert, and so forth) along with the archetypes types (like the reclusive or timid I mentioned earlier) could be nothing more than just a text box for all I care, with the actual gameplay impact being the exact attributes, idc but I need the character depth lol.

A few possible recommendations to consider:

  • The way the current system for running is business is great, but definitely would love to see some more realism. For example, let’s say for the bakery, you cook the cupcakes, then you display all the cupcakes on the counter as-is. Meaning not in the display case individually for sale, but in a display case/counter as a bundle (like you currently have it once it’s completed cooking. And the more people buy the cupcake, the bundle gets smaller to eventually having an empty tray. It feels a bit odd to see your creations as individual pieces in the case. It feels empty and lacks realism.
  • I am pretty confident this will be resolved in a future update, but would love to be able to TRAVEL and STILL OWN a business. I believe that will be fixed in future update, but wanted to emphasize how that definitely hinders the fun of taking vacations while running your business.
  • Please add in individual purposes for laundry system – i.e. put clothes in washer, then once the wash is complete, then you put those clothes in the dryer. It would be much more interactive and task-driven chores than it currently is where you’re magically clean.
  • Would love to see the drive-thru feature working for the fast food joints. That would be so fun to see.
  • Zoi’s parking in their respective garages instead of it parked on the street. Even if it doesn’t show a full animation of the car going into the garage, it would just be nice to see the cars you own in the garage, then teleport on the street with the Zoi already inside.
  • Automatic Christmas lights on the houses will be awesome for next year’s Christmas update.

I actually don’t know. I was told it would not be possible to add a cluster of all these things and to find a better alternative last time I ask the same thing. I assume these things (Making complex individual zois all over the cities) are more complex to code than simply creating a business system in comparison? And making them might mean some other features won’t make it in to the final game? I think this is why zois are still very lacking with the current system because there is a limit to it? BUT we can still try to suggest a solution of these features to the current existing system to see if it would still be possible to add in? (What happened to me was, I had to resort to suggesting for personality to show through animations because it’s less complicated.) I was told when it came to stimulating perfect individual human beings with very detailed personalities systems, it is impossible. Most likely the problem is that all 18 traits were set in the code of the earliest EA build, and each trait corresponds to the ID of a specific trait from the former Enneagram, just with changed names and properties. But in the code it’s still the same former Enneagram trait (Nature). That’s why there’s no match between the cheat and the actual specificity: you type in “entertainer,” but “Troublemaker” appears, because the IDs were simply overwritten rather than new ones added (+ on top of that, there’s hardcode of 2 mandatory characteristics).

I really didn’t expect this way to change things, considering they had the Big Five and discarded it, and the Enneagram too, without taking the strengths from each, instead just adding two more static ones… Idk. So entire game cycle is supposed to consist of 18 traits and 2 characteristics, even ones not suitable for a younger life stages, yet still mandatory and limit if nothing is changed. The novelty will wear off, and that cannot be changed anymore.

Kjun, the pool when we already place it down to the size we want, it can’t be moved around. I hope even as we place pools down that it can still moved around, if we want to move it closer to a area, instead of restarting the whole building process. Also, during heatwave, going into the shade, pool, and ocean it should cool down the heat hotness of zois. Drinking cold drink in the heat should cool the heat hotness of Zois for 1 minute. Drinking hot beverages in winter should warm zois up for some minutes.

When I first seen your post my first thought was there so many long hair styles but you are right we need long hair designed specifically for men with hairlines designed for men. So yeah absolutely the InZOI team should add male long hair with variety like subtle angles and maturing with slight temple recession for younger men and for the older men receding temples, M-shape to give the longer hair a masculine look.

Based on watching some inZOI partners' videos whom have early access to the December update - it appears we can make mocktails at the bar, but can't sell these mocktails to customers directly at the bar ? Even if you try to put a mocktail in a display case? On top of that, only **one **drink (coffee or juice) can fit per display case? Please consider making different displays or shelves for drinks that can hold **multiple drinks at a time ** that can be fitted on tables, counters or etc. Additionally, please consider adding fun ways drinks or food can be served to customers.

Love that idea.I believe it is very important that, instead of constantly adding new features to Inzoi, more effort is put into improving and polishing the ones that already exist. Focusing on making the game clearer, cleaner, and more refined would greatly improve the overall experience. Better animations, smoother systems, and more depth in existing mechanics would make the game feel more complete and immersive. Adding new content that feels empty or unfinished can take away from the quality of the game, whereas improving what is already there can truly elevate it to a higher level.

I think adding wasd keys for swimming underneath the water is actually important and was a promised feature they said they would work on. Swimming in general is a core compontent of the base game and I would love to see them work on it!

Also for the movie theaters could there be new videos that you can only see if you go to the movie theaters? This would make it much more meaningful to go to the movies+ add popcorn to the snack counter and candy you can buy too

Everything looks amazing, but one feature I truly wish for is cars staying parked exactly where I leave them, rather than disappearing. I remember they behaved this way at launch, so it was disappointing to see them vanish after exiting. If possible, I’d also love to no auto teleporting back home when on public lots and again for them to stay where you park them to preserve that realism. These details bothers me the most. Please consider.

A cool feature for the court system would be divorce trials. Maybe married Zois may second guess about getting a divorce once they realize all the repercussions that comes with getting a divorce (alimony, child support, custody of children, etc.) I would like child support added to, these dead beat fathers who doesn't visit or spend time with their kids shall be sent to court for child support/child custody. I know this is a long stretch but that'll be so cool and add more drama

Add a second currency separated from Meow Coins that can only be earn from hard work in gameplay (grinding for that ITEM)

Kjun, in the future can you add a second currency for buying mysterious items that can only be brought with hard work from doing goals, tasks, bounty hunting or gathering rare items/rare materials where you can exchange them into a currency that’s for a mysterious shop, where you cannot use Meow coin to buy these items from this “mysterious shop,” so basically the only currency that can be used in this mysterious shop is the RARE currency gotten from achievements, goals, tasks, rare materials, and gathering? I would like grinding for rare items. Maybe this mysterious shop can be used for easter eggs.

I’m already very concerned that these features have taken time away (and will continue to take time) from those who were working on the calendar, linking holiday decorations to it (instead of FOMO patch); strollers and complex systems that don’t yet exist in the games at all, combining recognition, groups, and multitasking, requiring hyper‑focus, such as walking hand in hand, walking with a stroller while talking, seamless sequential animations like leading a child by the hand. We were told that by December NPCs would recognize each other, form family groups, visit parks and amusement parks together, etc… That’s an example of a killer feature for a 2025 game, something you don’t even need to explain to a casual player.

I was told that systems tied to karma/reputation, rumors and gossip, memory and so on, involving more systems to generate action/reaction, creating living world and deeper bonds with your Zois, are gimmicks that could easily be left unfinished before release (supposedly, 10 half-baked careers are considered more necessary.)

But people signed up for those too, and all these systems would’ve made day‑to‑day events diverse, easy to generate and control, fluent, and immersive, so that the simulation and next-gen game design engage players as much as traditional direct‑control, RP and economic systems.

I wonder what people consider as “Base Game” because everyone probably has a different opinion.

For me, Base Game is:

  • Good game play loop and good job loop.
  • Family, Friends, Romantic relationships, Jobs, Emotions, Phone features, Skills, Personality being polished and completed.
  • Fix bugs for base game features.
  • More completed animations and interactions.
  • Finishing every feature and system that were there during the early stage of early access.
  • Npc improvements, better AI.
  • Karma system and Ghost play (basically InZoi’s identity before)

(These are the major ones that I believe are base game features that I know)

In the term “base game,” the main thing to keep in mind is that it’s the core, that will be very difficult to change later without breaking the core. Therefore, it should be not about content, but about fundamental systems that are tightly interconnected and represent the entire design of the game to the end of its lifecycle.

For example, there was originally the concept of small cities interacting with one another – meaning the game keeps them within the same save data array, and ownership and connections are not frozen/broken when moving between them (similar to neighborhoods in Sims 4, where the whole world exists in one save, whereas in inZOI it’s a new save).

-# Likewise, the main problem with Sims is that good ideas come too late: the ownership/rental and multi‑lot systems, which caused huge issues in Sims even though they looked very interesting on paper. There are dozens of systems related to personalities and parenting, but they are mostly layered on top and rarely interact, because they were never designed to do so.

In inZOI, people are asking for City travel without losing connections, renting instead of buying, shopping malls (multi‑lots)… but will that actually be possible? So essentially, instead of cranking out 10 more variations within one system just for quantity, it’s better to make sure each one is laid down properly.

Every time you update a new feature, I keep seeing steps and motions that have been omitted. As you add more features, it seems like there will be more and more things to fix.
Wouldn't it be better to build a solid foundation from the beginning before adding new ones?
I hope you can focus on solidifying the foundation starting next year.
Furthermore, from a user's perspective, the most difficult thing is waiting for the next update.
However, if the fundamentals of a game are solid, waiting becomes a non-issue.
With a good foundation, you can fully immerse yourself in the game as is, and the days of waiting for the next update are soon forgotten.
For example, The Sims 2 and The Sims 3 were games that could be enjoyed all day long with the original pack, without any additional DLC.
However, INZOI, even though I know it's in Early Access, still lacks fundamental elements and has many frustrating and uncomfortable gameplay aspects (short actions, skipped stages, limited interaction, lack of emotional connection with ZOI, feeling like a puppet in the movie "The Truman Show"). These elements hinder player immersion. For this reason, even if the game is fun, immersion often declines, focus is lost, and playtime is limited. I hope the developers will focus on refining these fundamental elements starting next year.

A well-crafted world universe, the individuality and self-awareness of the ZOIs, and their motivations are the three most crucial elements that determine the enjoyment of this game.

  • The game's worldview and the story of the historic village need to be further solidified. I'd like to see neighbors with unique appearances and characteristics, and the feeling that they might have secrets or hidden stories.
    Currently, with a few exceptions, neighbors all look similar, and some often resemble the ZOI presets, which is disappointing.

  • Individual identities are also lacking, making them seem like well-crafted dolls. Depending on the ZOIs' personalities, they should be able to sense the different reactions they receive when interacting with others or engaging in hobbies.

  • Inzoi has a diverse life system with ambitions, values, and wishes, but there's no real risk in failing to achieve these goals. Therefore, players rarely feel a clear sense of challenge or motivation to fulfill their wishes. The Sims 2 features a "Wants" and "Fears" system. Fulfilling a wish elevates your mood and earns you reward points. However, if your fears become reality (e.g., your husband's infidelity, death, or failing at school), your mood deteriorates and you lose points. In severe cases, you may even experience mental illness. Points can be used to purchase fun items with special functions. Successful parties gain a positive reputation through word-of-mouth, and as your skill level increases, you can earn promotions, receive small tasks and requests from the town, and gain more opportunities to use your ZOI abilities. This combination of a slight sense of challenge and a clear goal and motivation increases immersion. This is the core of the gameplay.
    The game must have a distinct concept and worldview, and it must possess unique characteristics and appeal that provide players with clear motivation and goals.

Kjun, in build mode, the textures and wall design needs to be organized better. Can we have sections or tabs organized for specific textures and designs, kinda like how furnitures are all neatly organized? Every textures had their own materials element and should be organized into similar categories. For example, the woody like textures should be organize in the wood texture section, the concrete looking textures should be organized in their own sections, and all other types of textures should be organized in their own correct material name sections or tab. Wall and floor design that has details like art, should be organized too. If there are wall papers of Christmas, it should be in the holiday section..do this for all designs to organize them and categorize them, so it’s easier to find them (does this makes sense?)

In build mode, “Furniture items” are all organized so you can find what you’re looking for better, so I don’t know why texture and designs isn’t, because it’s just a cluster together with a endless scroll.

Also, I hope we can have color swatches for faster color selecting if one is too lazy to use color wheel. By this, I don’t mean to take away the color wheel, because we still need it and it’s for advanced color adjustments, but I would like color swatches as well for easier selecting.

(Update: It seems like it is kinda organized now, but I hope it can be more organized.)

When we pick clothes for zois, the zois have color swatches, BUT why is it that in build mode for furniture, items, floor etc it doesn’t have color swatches? Please consider adding support of custom worlds. It would add so much replayability. People could remake worlds from Sims games especially from Sims 3, which is poorly optimized and doesn't work well even on modern PCs.

I wish that someone would remake Sunset Valley, Lucky Palms, Alpine County custom world from Sims 3 in Inzoi. I think how much better game performance compared to Sims 3 in these worlds would be if there would be map editor and someone would remake them in Inzoi.

✨ Please add where you can click on the ocean and pool and choose swim in. This way Zoi’s I’m not controlling at that moment can swim in the ocean and the pool. Also, add that NPC’s will also swim on their own. I want to see Zoi’s swimming in the ocean and the pool when I visit.

It seems to me that there is a gap between what players asked for back then and what is now being added.

All the requests for careers related to emergency services (hospital - top-9, police - 10, firefighters - 15) were focused on their impact on the city. So, you literally get into a patrol car and drive to the crime scene to make an arrest, into a fire truck to drive to the fire and put it out, or respond from the hospital to pick up Zoi and bring them in, improving City Safety, Fire Prevention Rate, or Health Level. There were no requests for a TS4-like detective.

We have absolutely ZERO matching fences for the staircase banisters in the game right now… and it really makes building second stories in homes look awkward..

I am unsure the reason why they havent posted a teaser or trailer for this update on the youtube, but they have before for previous updates of this game. I would say it is best to just be patient or maybe look at some previous video responses kjun has posted here in the meantime.

Base game and what should be improved are:

• More depth in skills and more connections in the systems. There should be a reason to level up skills: how could it impact my job, my life, my relationships, my family?

• There should be a reason to do homework in school: what consequences could there be if I don't do it?

• There should be a reason to go to university: what benefits could I get with the degree?

• There should be a reason to fulfill wishes: what rewards could I get in return? Donuts don't seem like enough incentive

• There should be a reason to clean my house: what consequences could arise from not doing it? Having bad relationships with my neighbors? Having a plague of insects in my house that make me sick? Social services coming to my house and not letting me adopt?

• There should be a reason to play Ghost Play in each game: what could I get in return for dying? Either something for the living household or for my own dead Zoi, maybe getting something very precious and being able to revive?

• There should be a reason to pee and bathe: what consequences could there be if I don't do it?

• Refine facial animations, Zois rarely blink or move their eyes

• Refine animations for eating, bathing, sleeping

• Better lip sync

• More steps for cooking, having to buy ingredients

• More steps for washing clothes: all household clothes are accumulated in a basket and can be dried: what would happen if I leave the clothes wet? If I wear wet clothes or leave them to dry for too long outside?

• Be able to store all food from the inventory in the fridge more quickly and practically

• Be able to wash all household dishes at once

• Be able to plant, remove dead plants, fertilize, harvest, water everything with one click and have the Zoi take care of it alone

Now that we have a dedicated criminal element in the game it would be interesting in the future to have teens, adolescents and children commit petty crimes. For example, shoplifting and pickpocketing could occur with younger Zois. Maybe young Zois could be peer pressured to steal or even their criminal parents.

If a young Zio gets caught committing a crime they could get scolded the first time but repeat offenders could get arrested and be put on probation and get a fine.

Another way young Zois could get in trouble is being out of the house past a certain hour. This can also get the young Zio arrested and driven home along with a scolding.

I’d love to see a feature where characters can have a group chat with their friends on the message app. It would make friendships feel more real and fun like sharing messages, emojis, plans, random jokes, or updates even when they’re not together. It could help build relationships and make the world feel more alive

Someone just mentioned this online but the ability for committing certain crimes to block you from getting certain jobs would be awesome! 🚨

Also the ability to become a doctor at the hospital and specialise or even become a brain surgeon or a famous cosmetic surgeon for celebrities would be amazing (after a celebrity DLC of course.)

Police Arrest Escape Mechanic with Taser Warning Radius

Please add the following mechanic:

If a player escapes from police arrest once, then upon being detected again, the police should attempt to stop the player with a taser.

However, the game should still give the player a chance to escape:

  • A radius zone should appear around the player.
  • The radius starts green and quickly turns red.
  • Once the radius becomes red, the player can no longer escape the taser shot.
  • If the player manages to run outside the radius before it turns red, they successfully avoid being hit by the taser.

Really impressed with this update! Big ups to the developers for being able to work on so many features in time for the holidays. Not sure if it's built into the business system already, but it would be cool if networking had a role in business popularity. Let's say that the acquaintances and connections you make would contribute to the foot traffic of your business. Zois you know would visit and make it more popular. It would be an interesting way to network with other business owners. But correct me if I'm wrong, as I did read something about how your connection with customers has something to do with the popularity. I wasn't quite sure with how it was explained. I think the crime system has had such positive feedback because life sims are something that allows you to do things that you would not attempt in real life. Great work Inzoi! I'm looking forward to gameplay.

I totally agree. Making existing features, especially careers, more detailed would add a lot of replay value. I would rather spend more time developing a deeper story for the Zois I already have than jumping between random scenarios that don’t really connect to who they are.

The game is clearly being built up over time, yet there is a lot of criticism from players who have only tried it a few times. Focusing on improving careers instead of constantly adding new features would help keep players engaged longer. Great observations overall.

I’m also curious how you collected all the votes. If it was done by individually counting comments, that’s really impressive.

Honestly, I'm curious why the "crime" system was developed first at this point. Was there a greater demand for a "crime" system than for any other profession? I haven't read many comments, so I don't know for sure.
However, I thought adding a basic profession system would be a driving force in establishing this game on a solid foundation.
Politician, business, hospital, military, athlete, scientist, entertainer, police officer, reporter, etc.

I hope the priority is to add the most basic, yet common professions that make it easy for players to create storytelling.

I read that the goal is to create a playable school before launch. I assume that includes the teacher profession, right?
I'd also like to see the business and hospital professions first.

I feel like the development team hasn't yet firmly established the game's direction.

The animations also have a lot to improve.
I saw a YouTube video of someone baking, and the way their hands hovered over the dough when kneading the flour was really jarring, so I hope they fix that.
The overall cooking animations also need a lot of improvement. Flipping a pancake in a frying pan feels awkward and the movements aren't clear.
There are many areas where the animations aren't as smooth as when picking up an object and moving it to your hand.
When placing a plate on the table or picking up a dumbbell, the items don't move smoothly. This makes me think that the animations aren't as smooth as in The Sims 2, which was released 20 years ago, and this is something that needs serious consideration.

Yes, individually comments + upvotes = total. If a comment contained more than one topic, I counted several (adding each into its own line). IMO the devs should’ve revisited those brainstorms, because players really gave it their all and suggested such solid improvements that the game would already be shining. They themselves asked us “how to improve jobs and careers,” we answered Psycat_Sleepy

Even in the case of the Police Officer, it should be an upgrade of the existing police station with call‑outs and patrol.

And accordingly, in the Criminal Job your Zoi should be receiving assignments from some syndicate or gang involving break-ins, heists, shaking debtors down, running gambling den, get in turf wars, etc. It’s necessary to enhance what already exists, integrating more details and aspects into these careers.

This is a detail I've mentioned many times, but I want to emphasize again.
I hope NPCs don't just stand there, but show meticulous motions.
Snack vendors should prepare and hand out food to customers.
(Imagine scooping up ice cream and handing it to a child! It's a small gesture, but it increases immersion.)
Bartenders should wipe down the bar table, clean cups, and prepare and hand out drinks when orders come in.
Kiosks are nice, but I'd like to see motions where players pay, package, and hand out drinks themselves.
Coffee would be more fun if it was prepared and handed out when an order comes in, rather than just displayed. As customers flock to the game, the difficulty level increases, making it more enjoyable for players.
I also hope there's a motion for wrapping and handing out bread.

Animate the court trial, spanning screen to characters answering and accusing characters

Someday, I would like the court trial to be better. I would like to see the screen span to each character in the court as they debate, and of course, you can select answers to win the court just like the current court trial we have in InZoi, but instead of a pop up message, it is a scene and animated.

What do I mean by animated court trial? It’s similar to this 👇 the video below, but with InZoi’s characters (3D) and animation, and choices to pick to answer the accusations. (And maybe the screen can pan to shock audiences or crying individuals in the audience in the court, depending on the case or who was directly affected by the offense. Also the screen can even pan to the Judge hammering the gavel 👩‍⚖️ if the case is going off track or to start the debate)

(Update: It looks like the court animation is already good and the trial is interesting.)

It depends on what kind of game you want 🙂
For example, I want the option for it to be easy and relaxing; crime is fine with me, but I hope to never have to play it, because it's an aspect of the game I don't like and don't care about. From Inzoi, I expect everything that enhances the realism of legacy-style games:

  • a family tree as detailed as possible, spanning multiple generations
  • a complex Zoi personality, with personality developments over time based on age and experiences
  • a realistic mood
  • lots of housing to play in
  • travel between cities while keeping the game rotating
  • options for determining lifespan.
    Basically, a game that's a mix of "The Sims" and GTA is fine with me as long as I'm not forced to play the latter 😆

I agree that those things should be developed more because InZOI has a lot of other important things to focus on, but I wouldn’t want the criminal career to be like a baby’s gameplay where it lacks depth or some challenges, because it will get boring for players who play as criminals in the long run. Bad Police Ai and Auto teleportation to jail, and court without the option of running away or hiding from the police will be a sad gameplay.

The problem is that most of the basic animations, sequences, and blends look unrealistic and robotic. In any case, I’ll vote for fixing what already exists, and only in a year or two move on to more detailed things if necessary. For the games you are showing, this is core gameplay, and teams of 500–700-3000 people usually work on these locomotion/traversal animations for years.

Well, the police officers clearly need fixing, at least on a basic level, so that they don’t run around erratically and don’t keep putting on invisible handcuffs over and over again.

UPD: The standard pack for matching motion with 1m and 2.5m climbs consists of 110 animations.

It would be amazing if inZOI took inspiration from job simulation games, because they already have an insane level of detail. Every situation happens differently, with real consequences, which makes the gameplay much more fun and engaging.

If inZOI implements professions like this, they will be incredible, since they won’t fall into repetitive tasks where you always do the same thing. Games like Food Processing Simulator, Fast Food Simulator, American Truck Simulator, Mall Simulator, Police Simulator, and others are great examples.

This kind of system would make careers feel more alive, realistic, and immersive, allowing players to truly feel like they’re working in that world.

Tasks are not repetitive, situations change constantly, and different actions lead to different outcomes, which makes the gameplay feel dynamic and fun rather than mechanical.

If inZOI implements careers in this way, they would feel truly next-level. Players wouldn’t just repeat the same actions every day — instead, they would face unexpected events, challenges, responsibilities, and decisions that actually matter.

It’s so funny that it makes me sad. In fact, I feel rather sad because the balance is being disrupted, one promised feature is delayed while another is delivered. So if crime and chase mechanics end up taking more than, say, 10% of resources, and especially if devs are pulled away from other areas, that won’t be very good. Besides, you’re/I waiting for many things (I read yesterday what you had asked for since July 🙃 – walking styles, LLM, unique NPCs, city stories, drama, random events with player involvement, e.g. asking for help, interaction with colleagues, customers, reputation, consequences), while some people only want traditional life sim management improvements. And it’s the same everywhere. But it’d be better if they focused on completing and delivering what was started and promised with quality.

Though, I hope suggestions we asked for that isn’t here in the game, can still be ideas for Kjun to use in the future. As you stated, good suggestion came to the sims too late.. BUT what if they came early and can be used for future ideas? So the devs can avoid not being able to exclude great ideas with the codes? (If this isn’t what you said, correct me.) I don’t know if this is exactly right about the codes part, but I would assume codes are hard to rework after so many systems?

I would love to see more dress styles: mermaid, ball, etc. I would love to see some textures: lace, tulle, pearls, rhinestones, etc. VEILS PLS (with physics if possible). This brings me into my next suggestion. Wedding dress shopping !! We already have a clothing store in both Dowon and Bliss Bay. It would be cool to go to the clothing store to pick out dresses. Of course it will take us to CAZ, but it would be a nice immersive experience to go to the store and pay for the dress. Also wedding planning !! Tbh I'm not married myself, so idk what all goes into wedding planning lmao, but it would be cool to have an option to meet up with a wedding planner, choose the venue, pick out a flower themes, cake tasting, financing, picking out the bouquet, etc. It can be an optional thing as well, I know some players don't care for that kind of gameplay. It could even open the door for a wedding planning career path. Also more couple poses plssss. Adding onto the idea of weddings, can we please have roles for bridesmaids, groomsmen, flower girl, ring bearer?? They can chill on either side of the alter while the couple is reading their vows. Also more engagement rings pleaseeee. I notice that zois wear wedding rings after getting married and I really LOVE that subtle additon to the game. I was wondering if we could have some more wedding rings ? Even an option for the zoi who plans to propose to go shop for the ring? They could go to the clothing stores or go on pocket market to buy the ring. They can also vary in prices. It could be a bit fun to add a reaction to the zoi that's getting proposed to to have certain feelings based on the ring price. For example, a zoi with the materialistic would be angry or even reject the proposal with a cheap ring. Also an interaction where zois can flaunt their new engagement ring to others. Zois with jealous personalities would feel some type of way about the nice ring and cheerful zois can cheer on or even cry tears of joy. Even some reactions from family based on their perception and relationship with the proposing zoi.

I’m concerned the game may rely too heavily on animations. Impressive and exciting at first, but likely to become repetitive over time if they aren’t supported by meaningful gameplay. What the game really needs is depth: challenging systems that give purpose to every action, clear reasons behind player choices, and rewards that feel genuinely earned when goals are achieved.

I thought the same because it’s like you would think that as we develop technology that a game 20 years old wouldn’t have way more animations with better quality than the games developed 20 yrs later… like sims 2 actually had thousands of animations made for it it’s pretty interesting looking at the bts and it’s why I’m scared for InZoi to go the way sims 4 and when the sims first came out it was still this big new idea and they had to really bring their A game and create a fun experience to get people to play and now I just have my concerns only bc it doesn’t seem InZoi is taking much interest into creating more animations which is a big thing that would make the game feel so much more immersive alone so when it’s not top priority it’s worrying… (and just to be clear animations aren’t the only important thing but without them things feel flat very quickly)

Coregameplay Id like to see Implemented

  • More reactive animations like GTA where its not point and clicking (though itd still be there), but seeing police chase after you and tackle you down without needing to pause/wait, I also like the taser idea above from another member! Itd be nice if they could target at us with it while chasing us around town. But we ability to jump over items and crouch.
  • There should also be a way to 'hide' and police not be able to find us, but if other zois recognize us and call the police on them there should also be a way to knock phones out of zois hands calling the police.
  • Seeing more zois not playing with and NPCs talking
  • If you go to jail and break out there should be a Wanted alert out for the prisoner, instead of them not caring, and police will ride the streets with sirens. The town would also be alerted.
  • Some foods need to be resized
  • Grocery store and the mechanics to buy ingredients for recipes, but also being able to buy general snack food to store at home, and drinks
  • Needing to buy supplies and tools to do some hobbies. Like art supplies to do art, music theory books to learn instruments, cookbooks of different cuisines for cooking and baking and bartending,
  • Taxis working to take you around town and real time working subway system
  • Being able to choose more than one personality traits, and add background traits
  • Household rules for guests and residents

I'm not seeing people mention it but build mode also needs some love and improvements. I have not used it for months because everything is just so complicated and not user friendly at all but I tried using it again last night and it really has not improved.

Walls: Are simply a pain to use for some reason they never connect and then you have to use that annoying arrow feature to fix them over and over again. For sure reason you also keep getting duplicate walls this feature needs to be simplified I want building to be fun and easy not something that annoys me and makes me close the game.

Pools and Foundations: These also need to be made more user friendly just give me points to click where I can easily resize/reshape them

Windows doors furniture: I beg you remove that arrow-move system and just let me click the item and move it where I want we don't need the complication its a game and should be designed for ease and fun not a chore on everything.

Well that is all I ended up giving up again before even finishing my kitchen hallway bathroom and abandoned miniature pool in the back yard. I'd spend a lot more time in the game building if you would improve these build features to be less tedious and more fun to use.

I'm building for decades in several games, inZOI's build mode does still need lots and lots of attention from the devs.
It's just so frustrating and restrictive. And it just takes too much time to get anything done properly.
The devs should take a look at the new World of Warcraft build mode, for example.
Despite it's also still lacking, very simple and not as advanced as inZOI's, it's so much fun and easy - and almost anything is possible. Players go crazy all over youtube with what they've been able to achieve.
WoW is just an over 20 year old MMORPG, but they really nailed build mode.
In inZOI it's not even possible to resize, lift or turn objects, that's pretty much standard these days.
And don't get me started on wall painting 😭

I agree with your list and also, I liked the taser for Police too because they have no other way to apprehend criminals except for running and hand cuff, which is a bit lacking. Police knock criminal down and apprehend, sometimes they even use taser because the criminal isn’t obeying commands. If police career is a feature, which I think Kjun has considered, we should at least have a way to apprehend criminals if we cannot take them down from running and waiting for a interaction that may never trigger during a chase.

Yea exactly I think I’ve listed out all of the animations that needs work a couple times but I don’t think it’s a priority rn for them like for example all of the eating still needs tweaking, the way they pick up objects and some of them just duplicate itself instead of being it’s own object there’s now 2 of them and when clicking “clean the house” mopping/ sweeping needs to be restricted to well… in the house and a bunch more I think but I definitely give them slack because it’s technically not released yet and I’m kinda glad they’ve decided not to release officially so soon when there’s still so many tweaks to be made

Don’t get me wrong, I agree InZOI should make their build mode less overwhelming, and I think games will and should make it easier to build. I will say that I guess when I look at it, people who uses more advance software for building will understand InZOI’s build mode a bit more?

Moving and rotating items gives you total freedom to position each piece in a way that looks good.

L1/R1 = fine lateral adjustment, like moving stuff without messing up the rest.

Side bar (MAX/MIN) = zoom or height, to add volume and layers.

Place/cancel buttons = safety net, like “oops, my bad” without breaking the plate.

Overlapping = create fancy layers (fillet on top of fillet, veggies over rice, etc.).

In the end, it’s all about turning a simple plate into something artistic and elegant, like a top-tier restaurant, without relying only on the game’s auto-placement. :artist_palette:🍤

I really like the detailed ways of cooking and wishes it’s a game mechanic, but I feel like people might be lazy to cook like this every time. I like it to be optional for people who like more engaging cooking, like me, and for people who just want to get cooking done without the hard concentrations. But, I do feel like one feature will be favored over the other in the long run, which is the easier one. Maybe advance cooking will or should be a gameplay for the chefs only since their time will mainly be on cooking and washing? Or maybe detailed advance cooking can be for making your own unique dishes to sell or eat? That would be fun. Okay, actually I don’t know anymore but I really do like the detailed cooking.

This is meant to be a chill game, and it doesn’t really need overly complex or exhausting details—that simplicity is what makes a chill game enjoyable.
If we start controlling even things like how dishes are arranged, the game might lose its easy, relaxing feel.

I have a couple of suggestions for gameplay improvements:

  1. NPC Bartenders: Could we have NPC bartenders serve drinks directly to customers at the bar? It would be amazing if customers could order both from a barstool and while standing like in The Sims 4.

  2. Cafe & Bar Interactions: I noticed in the inZOI Creator videos that drinks are placed on display for sale. Could we also have players walk up to the barista and order directly in cafes with the drinks served at the counter? Ideally this could include ordering, mixing, and serving animations like in The Sims 4.

WAIT, you made a good point! When zoi interact with each other, one zoi pauses so that the other zoi can catch up. Imagine a criminal pausing just so a policeman can catch up to arrest the criminal, because interactions needs to be performed. The pause would be unrealistic or strange. Criminal aren’t going to glitch and pause for a police in real life. I think police should be able to tackle a criminal during chase, perhaps that would look a bit better to force criminals into apprehension. Maybe players should have a alert that the police is coming for them, kinda like how GTA has prior notice like the stars so we get time to prepare to run. Taser can help players who are not good at chasing criminals, so they get some advantage if they are playing as the police.

I don’t want to sound like I’m down on any of these suggestions, but I think it’s important to remember that Inzoi is not GTA. Games like GTA can simulate these things in exhaustive detail because that’s what the game is about, whereas Inzoi is dealing with virtually every aspect of life from birth to death. If the game tried to model all those things in as much detail as GTA puts into fights and car chases, it would probably still be in Early Access twenty years from now.

Judging by the December preview videos, the new crime system already has a pretty impressive amount of detail and flexibility. Zois can beat up and rob people on the street, scam them in various ways, hack parking meters and ATMs, pick up tips and jobs from shady crime organisations, break into businesses, bribe witnesses, hire lawyers, go to trial and argue their case, get sent to jail and break out again. Sure, it’s just a first iteration and will need all sorts of improvements to animations etc. But that’s all the more reason to focus on those improvements rather than trying to add more stuff which the game isn’t really equipped to handle.

I’m not asking InZoi to be gta. I’m simply saying players should be allow to run from the police, which is already a option, but police npc are not very good. As ThoughtlessSpace said, if players play as full time criminals (or even as a police) it should at least have “some” depth. I am not saying these things are priority right now, because it’s just suggestions for future ideas that may or may not be added. (Kjun plan to develop the police and criminal in the future, not saying it’s next month, it can be within 5 month later)

Sure, and as I said, I don’t think those suggestions are bad in themselves. I’m just skeptical about whether some of them are practical or even possible given the way interactions and animations work in Inzoi. Right now they seem to work by having two or more Zois move into specific positions so the correct animations can play out. It’s not really set up to handle fluid, rapidly-changing situations like chase scenes, at least from what I’ve seen.

For sure the arrest animations could be improved. Tasers? Possibly… but it would probably involve a lot of awkward pauses while the criminal Zoi stops moving in order to be tased.

I do understand since ThoughtlessSpace’s comment now. During conversations, the zois have to wait for the other zoi to pause to talk.

But to answer what you wrote, I was thinking, if you go to the inventory to get items, but for this case a taser, clicking the right mouse button should automatically shot the taser and left click is to select it to put away (which we already use the left side of the mouse to click anyways). That is my solution. Taser doesn’t have to be the item used, there can be alternatives. The right side of the mouse is never used in InZoi, perhaps it can be used, if you have a mouse. (Since we have a way to change keyboards keys for certain things, certain keys can be used for certain triggers for people without a mouse.)

Also some people wanted jumping mechanics, because it takes too long to walk around a small fence 😆

(Edit: Wait need to correct. I meant to say the left is the one we normally use, already corrected. This all just suggestion to make the career fun, not saying it needs to be an actual feature or be implemented now)

In that case you’d also need a targeting system to judge whether the criminal had been hit, and some mechanism to judge the distance between the two Zois, etc. ‘Crime sims’ like GTA and similar games have these mechanics as part of the base game, but I don’t think anything like that currently exists in Inzoi. Not saying it couldn’t be done in some form, but given the amount of work involved (at the same time as trying to work on everything else), I wouldn’t expect to see it in the game any time soon.

As for jumping: I guess you could add a ‘jump’ animation for smaller fences, and/or a ‘climb’ animation for larger ones. There might be issues regarding which lots and buildings Zois are permitted to access, but it could also work well in combination with the crime system.

**In 2026, the InZoi team should focus on the existing features and either expand or refine them. **
✨ The lifestages need a lot of work. Infants, toddlers, children, adolescents, and teens need the most work as they have the least amount of content. I would even argue that some life stages (Infants, toddlers, and adolescents) need to be resized and given unique characteristics.
Traits: We need so many more traits, and we should be able to choose more than two traits for adult Zois. I would like to see Infants through teens have at least one age-specific trait. (Example: Infants: fussy, happy, or cautious. Toddlers: wild, charmer, independent. Children: Social butterfly, imaginative, energetic, and so on.)
Memory System: Zoi’s should remember life-changing events, when they were embarrassed, if other Zoi’s commit a crime, or they see another Zoi cheating on their friend.
Animations: Some animations need work. Building a snowman, going up and down stairs, eating cupcakes and other food, and doing laundry, to name a few. We also need more parenting animations (comforting, kissing forehead, snuggling, hugging (different types of hugs). Kids should have animations to play with other kids. (Tag, hide and seek, cops and robbers, rock, paper, scissors, imaginative play, and jump rope) I would like hopscotch and playing ball to be expanded to allow multiple children to play together.
✨ **Gameplay: **I would like to see counters get messy after using them for cooking, puddles when toddlers and children splash in the bath, puddles when the sink, toilet, tub, or shower breaks.
We need an alarm for when there is a burglar. I would also like it not to be an event. The whole house should wake up, and there should be some sort of music or sound when your house is being broken into.

Since new traits are being added.. Can a trait be a way to pick a trait your zoi is drawn to/attracted to in a partner? Like “attraction to person of money” or “attraction to person of good/justice” or “attraction to person of popularity” or “attraction to athletic builds” and more, so we can have zois who will approach the zois of their preferred preferences more? This is just an idea. It doesn’t have to be attraction, it can be friendly too.

I noticed that for the cctv camera there's these red areas that pop up and you have to avoid them.. otherwise u end up triggering the alarm.

Which is really cool but id also love to see them become like lasers across the floor that the zoi has to either jump or climb under in order to not trigger the alarm. This could be an alternative to do other than just hacking

I hope INZOI will take note of the animations in The Sims 2. Every time I watch The Sims 2, I'm amazed that a game from 20 years ago can display such smooth, seamless animations. In particular, the animations for preparing multi-person meals and placing them on the table one by one are even smoother than in The Sims 3 and 4. The same goes for picking up items and handing them to others. It's laughable that a game from 20 years ago is the best... INZOI absolutely, absolutely must watch and learn from The Sims 2....

As you can see in this video, The Sims 2 has the best animation quality by far. The movements are smooth from beginning to end, with no skips. That's why The Sims 2 still has the highest ratings, surpassing The Sims 3 and 4. It's disappointing that The Sims 3, 4, and INZOI have less smooth animations and more skips than games from 20 years ago.

As I mentioned, unfortunately people often fall into two extremes – either like Sims, or like GTA‑style games. But the game shouldn’t be a Sims clone (because for such an expensive game that’s… well, from the outside it’s off‑putting), and on the other hand, it wasn’t developed for such action systems, and moreover it should deliver roughly the equivalent mechanics both through point‑and‑click and through direct control. So, let’s just check more references.

Even despite the fact that Ananta is an action game, the choice of mechanics is still made from a list, just like in Patrol Officers and so on. Yes, one of them includes action locomotion and hotkeys, but technically a menu with detailed actions is available.

Looking further, this game also has a full phone application, from which you can both write message and make calls.

As some people say: not looking at Sims is like reinventing the wheel. But when they lock just into Sims/GTA, they actually miss out on something else that also doesn’t require reinventing the wheel, yet fits perfectly.

Yet I still believe that the police/crime needs to be developed to be as non‑Sims as possible (0% influence), with proper careers and so on.

I would love this too because I feel the animations are cutting corners, and feels too auto driven. Though Id want to have animations fleshed out a step further than Sims 2. Characters place plates down first on tables and then serve each empty plate, with a utensil. And if theyre taking servings from a multi-serving dish on the counter, they'd pick up a utensil in one hand and have a empty bowl/plate in the other hand, then scoop food from it onto that plate or bowl.

But.. then there's other players who will say "the animations are too long" or "I dont want to sit through this each time they eat"

I really want a jealousy syatem that ties into the memory system. Characters can notice jealousy in others and become jealous of others milestones and successes. Be it someone got a new car, opened a new business, got engaged, etc. And the characters who are jealous can sow seeds of doubt and worry. Like "Isn't running a business going to be hard?", "You can do so much better than _____",

  • There will be major and minor triggers of everyday living and can effect kids-elders.
  • Romantic and non- romantic jealous types: Status Jealousy – success, wealth, recognition. Milestone Jealousy – marriage, kids, education. Attention Jealousy – being overshadowed socially. Security Jealousy – fear of falling behind. Belonging Jealousy – fear of being replaced in a group or relationship or friendship.
  • Escalation paths: if Jealousy is ignored, jealousy addressed in a good or bad manner.
  • There'd be a Jealousy awareness system,including behaviors both subtle (ex.backhanded compliment) and negative actions that can be taken (ex.encouraging fear or hesitation).
  • If a Zoi notices someone is jealous but they aren’t they can take action

Would love the ability to have multiple loans going on at once (business and mortgage etc.) and the ability to have serious conversations about debt and finances with your partner.

For instance if you lose household funds due to bad or fraudulent investments, your partner can either be supportive or angry at you and give you the silent treatment. This could contribute to the reason for them eventually divorcing you lol

I actually like this first image attached. Because it gives room for mistakes that can be retracted, such as the options: arrest and release. Instead of a one and done action which we have now, (no shade). But it brings the point, we need more game mechanics fleshed out that makes sense for this particular world. Its not static like Sims its bustling and alive with its own heartbeat. We need variety; suspicion and not just offense. Where cops can check for ID, search on persons, apologize if they arrested the wrong suspect. And not just lock them up automatically 😂

Wait was surfing removed in the new update? My zoi is on level 10 and the option to surf doesn't come up. Also I've seen on a early access video of the update that there was the apocalypse feature but that's not there either when I looked. Maybe it will be there in a fix with parking? I hope surfing and the apocalypse mode comes back soon 🙏🏽

This is what I will say, I actually don’t see the problem with running from the police, it is already an option in InZoi. Though, the police in InZoi have no way of stopping running players but only talk, usually police will point out their guns in real life at a criminal resisting, but in the case of InZoi suggestion, it’s a taser (or I would say, swap that out with a sleep tranquilizer for criminals who keeps resisting arrest, because Kjun had mention a tranquilizer, I think) and players will be shot with a sleep shot for trying to resist arrest by escaping the law. My conversation with Debbie L, I think mechanic and gameplay will need systems and codes no matter what, even for base game features, so if like what Kjun said, how they plan to develop the crime career and business in the future (not now) I would like better police gameplay and criminal. It doesn’t have to be advanced gameplay, I don’t think what is asked was that advanced 😅 running away is already a feature. A added item from the police to stop players (interaction) is actually easy and faster to implement, I don’t believe it takes that much system to do this interaction, stating how zois can already pull out items, run, and police can arrest players if they get close enough from the InZoi gameplay I saw.

The patch notes mention that some animations are only available to groups. I'll be interested to see what those are.

@vocal plank I guess you could make the 'stop' animations look less awkward by having the police officer point a Taser from a distance, and the criminal put their hands up or something. But realistically they still wouldn't have a chance to escape once the interaction has started. Perhaps another option could be to fight the officer in order to get away (with the results dependent on Fitness skill)? That's something that could be done relatively easily using existing mechanics.

Technically, it’s just an action in response if controlled via keyboard/controller, but it’s more complicated when implementing AI pathfinding through point‑and‑click. I’d be very sorry if a serious imbalance occurs, where players using the 3rd‑person style gain an advantage over point‑and‑click players (and these may not only be those who prefer that style, but also those with limited mobility, reaction speed, etc.)

I showed you how arrest is implemented through the menu list, and that fits traditional controls better. Likewise with chasing a criminal: if technically there is the option to pause the game and still successfully take him down after 5 m, then fine.

But how will the AI determine climb, pathfinding, traversal animation selection (motion matching)… is it really that feasible?

Here's how it could work without needing new mechanics/controls: When the 'arrest' interaction is initiated, the officer approaches the criminal and points a gun or Taser, while the criminal raises their hands. You then get a pop-up message along these lines:

Officer: "Stop right there criminal scum! You're under arrest!"

Option 1: "It's a fair cop." [Get arrested.]
Option 2: "You'll never take me alive!" [Fight the officer.]

You then get the 'handcuffs' animation for Option 1 and the 'fight' animation for Option 2. If you lose the fight you get the handcuffs anyway. If you win, you get an automatic non-cancellable 'run away' action (perhaps to your home or another building). You can also get different moodlets depending on the outcome of the fight.

The mechanic key thing is for the player as officers, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be a existed system. Just a suggestion. I think @random valley suggested a fine solution for the scenario using existing mechanics. What you suggest is good gameplay too. Anything to make these careers good is good. Off topic, I think the police officer tailing zois up close (in the face) after a fine needs to be swap out with them at farther distance, or moving with a police car because it’s just a quick fine. (In the gameplay I saw, when a police fine you, they go inside your house after a fine and stick around 🤔)

I agree that jealousy should be expanded on because it comes with relationships, friendships, enemies, but currently, zois only get mad or sad from their partner cheating in relationship or having bad interactions in friendships. I don’t think jealousy as an emotion even exists as of current, unless I am wrong, but what I saw seems more like revenge, anger, and betrayal. There should be a jealousy of a zoi wanting to be better than another zoi.

Yes, but with direct control, you had a third action in mind (to run away), and there are so many posts here about it. But how can that be done through point‑and‑click?

And here’s another idea I can suggest: as I showed in Ananta, a bit further in the footage there’s a great option when being arrested – pointing a hand to the side / distract, the cop turns away and you can run (even point‑and‑click could roughly calculate the path, the first action could be done autonomously, and let you click 3–4 times to slip around the corner). BUT if it fails, then it’s unfortunate: hands on head, kneel, get down, extra sentence.

For me this is a great example, and I wholeheartedly support this kind of interactivity.

I appreciate that you did that. Speaking of Police and Criminal, we talked about how the streets are more empty now. I wonder if Kjun made it like that so that criminals can have better chances of lock picking the door, without always being spotted by walking npcs. If that’s the case, I get it but it’s sad the streets will be empty now. And if it is the case, I wonder if Kjun can keep the lively streets but allow night time to generate less npc for criminals to lock pick, so that we can have both lively streets and ability for criminal to lock pick without getting caught.

That's actually a good point about having too many observers. As you say, the best solution would be to have fewer Zois around at night (and possibly in bad weather). I've noticed that more Zois appear on the streets at certain times of day, such as when businesses open, so it should be possible.

@lethal swallow it definitely varies, as I've seen footage from the new build with a lot more Zois on the streets (unfortunately I can't try it myself as I don't have access to my gaming computer rn). I wonder if the snowy weather plays a part? It would make sense that there are fewer people outside when it's snowing, I guess.

No, they just need to give us the option to disable / reduce screen edge and distance culling. We’ll figure out ourselves how effective the performance will be for us.

Many users pointed out that faraway NPCs and cars suddenly disappear or pop in due to distance culling, breaking immersion. As you know, this is tied to optimization. We’ll try adding improvements in this build.

I think I might have overestimated this update. After playing for a while, I don't see any real improvement in the Zois' simulation logic. The devs really need to rework the core AI because they still act so nonsensical. For example, my Zoi keeps wanting to head home while they're literally in the middle of their shift at the shop! Also, the frequency of autonomous actions like spraying bedbugs or cleaning the streets is still way too high. They still feel pretty 'clunky' right now

I want the autonomy to make sense for the traits, characteristics, and preferences.. Zoi going out of their way to go singing and dancing when it's in hated activites. A malicious rulebreaker greeting other zoi "warmly" and with "positive energy"? 😭 pls.. I just want a mean zoi.

My characters behave strangely, take a large portion out of the refrigerator, put it on the table, forget that they took it out, start preparing some other dish and eat it, instead of taking part of the large portion.

You know, I checked things out, and there’s still room to grow, the key points about police and crime feel ok (buggy but ok) and thank God it hasn’t turned into a Sims copy. The only issue is that Crime Job and Mysterious Agency are getting mixed up (maybe that’s fine if one stays active and the other as it was), but I really hope the police career will unfold within the Police Station, with the addition of a patrol car, and that the devs will read all this, take a look, close the sims window forever, and move forward trying things on their own.

On the other hand, the game’s simulation feels bad, which we suspected, since UE, simulation, and optimization for low‑end devices are worlds apart… Still, it can handle this level of scenario logic.

What’s missing right now is more ready‑made world dynamics for the player: NPCs are few, traditionally boring, streets are empty again, new venues are closed unless you open a business yourself. The city is dead.

They should’ve listened to players, improved the existing careers, and allowed us to manage existing venues like Golden Apple Burger, Nook’s Shop, Surf Shop… + if they really wanted to add businesses, they should’ve sorted out lot types so one doesn’t restrict the other (a venue runs on its own and gather lots of NPCs but if you want a business, you buy this venue and manage it or have passive income). At the moment everything is fragmented.

The ModKit remains on version 5.4.4, so the update to 5.6 hasn’t happened yet.

Few feedbacks about BUSINESS FEATURE (especially f&b)

  • Stands are always empty. I have 3 employees, but they can only make 1 food at a time and customers immediately took it out. So they ended up never filled. Every day the same problem.
  • Please add an option to pause the store temporarily for customers so that employees can fully restock the shop. Or add an additional early working hours for employees only.
  • Please add an option to make multiple meals/drinks at one time, saves so much time for restocking.
  • Please add reactions from customers to decide whether they wanted to buy or not, right now they just take everything no matter the price or quality.
  • Employees are over-vacuuming the store too many times everyday, just like they did at home. 90% vacuuming, 10% doing their tasks. I had to remove vacuum/broom objects in the store to temporarily fix it.

Can zois have the ability to be angry at whoever bullied someone the zoi has a good bond/relationship/friendship with? For example, a parent with a child who is being bullied will tell the other parent (bully’s parents) to teach their kid to do better. Or if “zoi 1” is bullying “zoi 2’s” sibling, friends, or partner, then zoi 2 will dislike zoi 1, but depending on their traits, it can defer how they react, like being hassle or reacting more maturely.

I love the new update, but the game is still very buggy and animations and driving needs lots of improvements. I am not sure if anyone else is having this issue, but my romantic couples are missing romance interactions even with full level relationships. I started 2 new romantic relationships and had this same issue. Lots of interactions were missing that once were there even after marriage.

Control over the length of the age groups was not in this update.
So I will start asking again... Please give us control over those, as each players have different preferences and aging mods mess-up the pre-generated families/zois in towns you play in.

Yeah I feel the Mysterious Agency should be more underground crimes (kinda like Watchdogs and Payday2 combined without the guns of course), and the crime job should be John Wickish lol more career focused idk...but I'm glad too it's not leaning into the Sims narrative. It's kept it's realism in tact and no goofy animations and such, there's actual interact and reactive systems in place. We just need the police and a police career to be the same, I don't know how in-depth the system for this career can go. Adding things like: interviewing suspects, arrests and mug shots, gathering evidence, being able to ride around in a squad car or patrolling the area on foot, attending to live crimes, etc. overall under law and order I like what they've added the question is "where is it planning to go next?"

Side note: I do have a question for you but I'll ask it later on.

edit: I think we should stray away from text based scenarios as much as possible, which is why I'm glad they addressed it earlier that it was going to be text based to start. Because as time goes on we won't need to rely on it due to them working on this advanced conversation system. They should use the game world, zois simulation, and objects as much as possible to create diverse scenarios.

As for simulation I have a lot of strong opinions which I won't mention--at least not right now. But I'm not happy with it honestly and there's a lot of things that need improving. I miss the spring version of the game and that potential with it. Now I feel things have just been taken away instead of being fixed or built further on, and it's making it lack luster. Which brings me to the question I was wanting to ask you, should we have asked for both blueprint and lua access for modding and script modding? Or is this still possible to some degree (blueprints)?

I've also noticed that the town feels like a total ghost town now. The number of NPCs on the street has dropped significantly after the update. It’s honestly so depressing—if I had known it would turn out like this, I wouldn't have updated at all😥

For me, minor inconveniences still hold me back from playing...

The lack of "automatic light control" is still incredibly frustrating, and my zoi is still vacuuming outside.

When one zoi is watching TV, the "Watch TV" menu doesn't appear when another zoi clicks on it.

When the zois are eating together, I tried multitasking by clicking on the chat menu, but all I got was a strange message saying, "This zoi is busy and can't do this," and no conversation took place.

I tried making bread at home, but the dough suddenly disappeared while I was kneading it...

Why does it suddenly sit down when I start a conversation? Can't I just stand and talk?
I purchased a business site and tried to enter during business hours, but I kept getting a message saying, "Only the operator can enter the site," and I couldn't get in. The door wasn't locked.

There are so many frustrating parts that I can't even begin to immerse myself in the game.

What users want is for "small interactions to work well."

The developers need to think deeply about how to develop their roadmap for next year.........

I couldn't focus on the game because there were so many frustrating things in this update.........There are a lot of new features, but none of the previous inconveniences have been fixed...

Love the update, still playing it, but just wanting to add in my personal suggestion of having the physics/movement more similar to GTA. I don't know anything about games, so I don't really know to explain it, but it just seems like it could be way more smooth, I even played with a PS5 controller. Also I thought we were getting maps. I am terrible at directions irl, I can't manually find my way around the world, which means they spend most of the time at home. 🙁 Also, I'm still standing my please recreating the personality aspect, making it more in depth, following the big 5 model, even if its 95% text. It would make a world's difference. Thank you for being a company that actually values it's customers though, love the game!

Okay I just checked and the apocalypse mode has been readded which I'm REALLY happy Abt.

I'm also happy jetskis are not only back but functional! Yay! There does need to be more work on the animation tho bc the zois arms go into their torso when turning. Also maybe a fix for the choppiness while driving the jetski.

There does need to be more zois like we had in the October update and more prisoners in the cells. I'm also hoping for the readdition of convertibles and pickup trucks please ❤️

I love the holiday festival we have in every map and I hope this continues for every seasonal holiday like valentine's day and Easter, etc. I also hope the theater becomes functional soon to be able to enter and watch movies/buy popcorn and have that theater experience. I just think the overall game in general needs work because many of the animations don't work right and I am running into many bugs so much that I cannot really play long as I wish I could or enjoy new features. I don't know what is going on with group activity because most group activity it says you can do like decorate Christmas tree together, play with child or play chess does nothing and they end up not doing these group activities. Very rare does group activity work. I am bit scared to try out the businesses because of the many issues. I think the team should make it top priority to smooth out the overall game because I love what we are getting, but find lot of it unplayable.

Unlocking holiday gifts/rewards should be once with a family that player is playing in a city and those stuff should stay put in build mode in same city saves. Currently in a new game, one family has opened/unlocked the gifts and of rewards and are able to decorate their house with those festive items. But when switch to another family in the same city (new game) those unlocked stuff not in build mode. Seems like have to play each family to have those unlocked festive items to decorate the Zois homes. Every tedious to play in this current stage.

I can’t be sure of anything anymore, sorry. I thought their priority task was upgrading to 5.6, improving/optimizing AI, unifying fragmented logic / run in parallel to offload a bunch of simulation processes from a single Game thread (MassAI, MassEntity etc.), as UE does, before adding new features that add to such a heavy load. But I couldn’t figure out anything in the simulation logic or in the reasons for the endless stutters and frame skips.

I enabled SmartZoi and got more or less working autonomy, but only onscreen, (offscreen I can’t understand, sometimes they act on their own, sometimes they just stay in the position it was before switching.) In the last 3 updates, the devs have put the cart before the horse, yep, tons of stuff, but what’s the core in the end?

I see decent potential in the game as a title with scripted logic and optional sLM/LLM. Accordingly, if modders write scripts in a familiar python‑like language, there’s nothing wrong with that, they’re text‑based, relatively lightweight, you could script entire quests/storylines/career paths. But does it actually give any bonus to proper life‑sim experience?

This update made me realize that, rather than adding new features, the game needs to fix the current issues to keep players engaged for long periods of time.
Nothing was fixed, and these issues prevented me from enjoying the game.

  • Automatic light control
  • Allow other Zois who arrive later to watch TV while Zoi is watching TV
  • Prevent vacuum cleaners from being used outdoors
  • Fix the issue where operators can't enter their own business premises
  • Fix the behavior of people insisting on taking the bus even when they have a car
  • Continuing actions in the same seat (so that when switching from Watch TV to Turn TV Off, the action continues without getting up)
  • Add presets for face shape, eyes, nose, mouth, and ears
  • Prevent arbitrarily sitting down in a chair when starting a conversation
  • An issue where "Free Will" would keep turning on automatically even when disabled in the options
  • Still short interactions. When I check the motions I enjoy on my own, like exercising or playing, there are still many that are short and end quickly. Just make the routine continue until the user clicks to cancel it.
  • Please allow only the ability to "turn on" music. It's tiring to prevent Zoi from listening to music every time.
  • Add a phone call action.
  • Please fix the issue of having to buy a house when traveling, as if I were moving. It doesn't feel like I'm traveling.
  • Quitting my business when traveling. Why should I do that?
  • Drag and drop installation of wallpaper and flooring.
  • Added wallpaper and flooring copy tools

Even with the constant updates, these minor issues keep bothering me, preventing me from fully immersing myself in the world of Inzoi.

I don’t believe 2026 will be the year InZoi is going on full release to be honest, BUT maybe near the end of 2026. I say this because there’s still so much things needed to be improved and added. InZoi is still better now than when it first released in early access, but things within the game still needs to be fixed more to be completed, so players can feel like the game is more polished. And again, we will like the streets to be lively again. Don’t give up Kjun and InZOI team.

I’m not sure if other players have figured this out, but the outfit preset system still seems to sync makeup across all categories. I can’t have a natural look for my Everyday outfit and a glam/heavy look for my Party outfit. What we really need is for makeup to be saved individually per outfit, not synced globally😅 😅

I really love Inzoy, but there are things that upset me, the detail of the characters' bodies, if the faces look realistic, then the themes lack details, they look plastic, the skin of the bodies needs an improved texture, if the character is very thin, the bones should be visible, and the muscle mass of female characters is the same as that of male characters, which is not correct, because the structure of female muscles is different from that of male muscles. The faces of the characters are really detailed, but the eyes look unnatural, like glass, which can create an eerie valley effect. Facial animations, I often notice that Zoe eats and speaks with her mouth closed, which looks strange. And lastly, due to the shadow issues, the character's appearance in the game is significantly different from the game, and I may be mistaken, but sometimes the facial features are slightly distorted in the life mode. The point is that you can add as many different traits as you want to make your character more lively, but nothing will change until it looks more lively.

It’s Christmas Eve night here in Korea. I was hoping it would snow today, but instead the sky is filled with sparkling stars. A bit disappointing. How is it where you are?
Thank you so much for sharing so many posts this week. I’d like to let you know in advance that there will be no video this Friday. As many of you already know, the development team has just delivered the December update, so there isn’t anything new to show visually right now.
However, I would like to share the direction the inZOI team will be taking next year.
Broadly speaking, there are two main pillars: new development, and refining the fundamentals. Improving the core systems to increase immersion is especially important to us, so we’ve even given this effort a name: “Fundamentals First.”
Honestly, I wanted to tell you about this plan sooner.
The reason is that even today, while reading your posts, I felt a little embarrassed—in a good way. Suggestions like “Campfires should go out when it rains” or “Please prevent vacuum cleaners from being used outdoors” really struck me.
I’m happy that the time is finally approaching when I can feel a bit more confident and honest in front of you.
This week as well, you shared a wide range of feedback, suggestions, and expectations regarding the December update. I was especially happy to see so many architectural creations uploaded to Canvas again after such a long time.
At the same time, many requests were raised: improvements to existing features, bug fixes, increased immersion, stronger character individuality, better animation quality, adjustments to city population density, deeper business and job systems, and interface improvements.

Major Update Feedback
With this large update, there were many discussions around bartending skills, the court system, group activities, multitasking, and winter and Christmas content. In particular, many of you enjoyed the animations and features related to bartending, group yoga, and dance battles.
However, some players criticized the in-game distance culling feature, saying it harms immersion, and requested additional options for high-end PC users. Since this issue can be addressed, we will work on improving it.
Canvas Town is not yet fully included in this update, and there were many expectations and suggestions for rural-style maps and diverse terrains such as mountains, valleys, rivers, and forests. Canvas Town has already been expanded to twice its original size and is being developed with good optimization. We will continue building it while reflecting more of your feedback.

System Improvement Requests
Many of you asked for stronger character individuality: more walking styles, voice tone variations, differentiated animations, additional personality traits, and other elements that help each character feel unique. Since this requires new art resources, we estimate it will take about two months. These items are included in the list we’ll share this Friday, so please consider them as actively in development.
For business and job systems, there were many requests for deeper and more realistic implementations across professions such as hospitals, police, crime, baking, hair salons, and law—along with richer job interactions, customer reactions, and networking systems. Next year, we will focus primarily on improving the fundamentals, but the job system is the one area where we plan to continue new development. This will include improving features like interviews and performance evaluations, as well as further developing the business systems we’ve just begun building.
There were also concerns about animation quality and variety: noticeable stuttering, unnatural movements, repetitive motions, and the need to improve animations for cooking, eating, cleaning, using stairs, building snowmen, and more. We’re fully aware of these issues and are already working on fixes.
In addition, there were requests to address the loss of city vibrancy caused by reduced urban population density, improve NPCs’ autonomous and natural behaviors, enhance street scenery, and expand NPC memory and relationship systems. We have ongoing plans to improve these areas as well.

Family and Emotions
Suggestions were made to deepen social interactions, including family gatherings, children’s play, friend group chats, dating and wedding events, jealousy, and emotional systems. Once again, we formed a new dedicated team so that babies and children can have as many interactions as adults. Next year, we also plan to develop customization options for children and babies.
I consider the diversity of human relationships to be one of our most important development goals, and we will continue developing systems that support a wide range of relationships.

Crime and Police
Many ideas were shared regarding crime and police systems, including arrests, chases, weapon usage (tasers, tranquilizers, etc.), courtroom trial animations, and deeper implementations of criminal and police careers. You gave us so many ideas that it felt like we barely needed to brainstorm ourselves. 😄
Since many of your suggestions align closely with the direction our development team is already pursuing, we’ll work diligently to incorporate them.
Beyond that, there were also requests for immersion-enhancing elements such as improved sound effects, automatic repetition of seasonal events, automatic lighting, realistic physics effects, and listening to music while moving.
I’m truly grateful for all of these opinions. You’ll understand why on Friday the 26th.

😊 Once again, we need your help. The December update introduces many new features and systems, building strong anticipation within the community. At the same time, there is a shared desire to improve the completeness of existing systems and overall immersion. In 2026, the development team will move forward by refining and expanding the game’s core features based on your feedback. ✨ Honestly, when inZOI was first released, I was very excited and played it with great enjoyment. However, the “distance culling” system has completely destroyed my enjoyment of the game. Because of distance culling, I can no longer play inZOI with pleasure. It prevents me from adapting to the game and deeply immersing myself in the inZOI world. Please, as soon as possible, either remove the distance culling feature or provide an on/off option for players with high-end hardware. This is truly very important to me. I am especially asking you for this.

✨ Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the December update. The game still does not have separate hair and separate makeup options for each outfit category. We strongly request that you prioritize this feature, as it is very important for realism and overall immersion.

Am I the only one that has any outfit downloaded from Canvas ruined after the update? No textures, nothing. They just look like plain default outfits. It's honestly kinda demoralizing because I had so many cool outfits that the community shared on Canvas that are just useless now. Also Inzoi team it would be really cool if we had toggleable option on our My Textures where we could choose if we want the image to repeat or not, it will be way more convenient for creating our own tees for shirts and hoodies. Other than that I really wish you guys a merry Christmas and may 2026 be an even better year for Inzoi with many improvements.

Just wanted to say thank you for the December update. The new business and crime systems have seriously elevated my gameplay. The added consequences and progression have made my stories feel way more alive and reactive, and I’ve been having an amazing time playing because of it.

As someone who plays primarily as a storyteller, I would really love to see more focus on camera and machinima tools in future updates. An in game video camera, better camera controls like hotkeys for angles, and improvements to the posing system would make a huge difference for those of us who share our stories through screenshots, videos, and blogging platforms like Tumblr.

One small but important thing would be being able to take photos when Zois are holding objects. Those candid moments are some of the most fun to capture, and right now the camera restrictions can be limiting.

I know core gameplay features still need to be prioritized, but I hope you will consider adding more tools for storytellers too. I would love to create and share more InZoi content once the camera system is ready for it.

Thanks again for all the work you’ve been doing, and I’m really excited to see where the game goes next!

I want to thank you and your team for all the hard work you put into this update.

  1. Please consider replacing kiosks with actual workers at all public lots for zois to interact with. Kiosks can break immersion and we want to interact with zois. Please make kiosks optional and allow us to order crafted bar drinks, foods from zois, customers expressing happiness or anger from their experiences. Angry customers not getting out of line until a 2nd attempt to correct order or give refund. Also being able to buy things from actual zois and mark items in build mode for sale for deeper immersion.

  2. Please allow more than 2 zois to participate in all group activities. Please allow up to 4 or even more zois to participate in all games, pool table, bowling, darts, skee ball, work out equipment, swimming, volleyball, soccer, basketball, playing cards, hookah, and many more. Zois should not be able to leave group or auto cancel group animation requests unless we as players initiate that. Also please add a drive with group interaction and fast travel option.

  3. Please allow us to order bar drinks from public staff instead of having to make our own drinks. Also please allow us to order drinks for our groups or our zois of choice around us. Zois should be able to have all conversations while drinking without sitting or moving to random locations.

  4. For businesses we should be able to move or travel to other locations without selling our businesses. We should be able to hire staff to train employees in other locations. Employees should be able to manage our business for us and we just swoop in to help occasionally when they may be overwhelmed or having a busy lunch rush etc.

  5. Please allow us to see our zois individually or in groups on all theme park rides and slides together in 3rd person view. Please open up the bumper car ride and other closed rides to be for active use.

  6. Please add skateboarding with a skill and add skateparks.

I'm having problems with the lighting in the game; if you turn on realistic shadows in the game settings, the light starts flickering not only in the house but also on the street I have a mid-range computer with a 3080 ti 16 GB video card

Huge fan of the crime system myself, if I had one request, besides my repeated ambitious one for a full prison, I think it would be to extend the crime skills to young adults as well as adults. Just because its the age preset I tend to use.

Hi devs! This update is huge and I am enjoying it so far! Huge thanks to the Kjun and the team for their hard work. I remember that an upgrade to Unreal Engine 5.6 has been planned and I am looking forward to it! More optimizations are certainly welcome and I am once again hoping that the devs will consider speeding things up here and there for mac players as time goes by. (not urgent, but would definitely be welcome since even above the steam recommended mac specs, I still cannot run the game on upper medium-high settings on stable +50 fps without frame gen.)

Yes it can i suggested something along these lines a couple weeks back I need to find it again. We need both options and as many options possible for this game.

Here's what I mentioned prior about cashier and kiosk:

As far as business systems, here in the USA we use shopping carts for large grocery/retail purchases and the yellow handbaskets in the game for smaller purchases, and also using hands for even smaller purchases or single items we take to the counter to oay for. Although we do have self-checkout here, we also have cashiers and customer interactions too which are still valued in our shopping experiences, especially if you become a regular, that a employee comes to know 😊 which I would love to see in Inzoi.

I would love to have both options be available for businesses transactions depending on which item is placed on the lot, self-checkout kiosk and zoi cash register. If only one is placed, it will default to human to human interaction or kiosk purchases, whereas if both are placed on the lot both could also be used for customers to buy items. I think if both options are given while running a business there could be a business perks given amongst some shoppers who like the short wait times due to a kiosk. But a negative perk of having issues with the kiosk if no one is around to help could hurt the business, giving negative shopping experiences.

I would love to see shopping carts used for items over 20, hand baskets for items less than 15, and zois carrying items to counter for items less than 5 (if these animations are possible)*

Since you mentioned that you'll be focussing on improving gameplay fundamentals in the New Year, I have some suggestions for various systems which hopefully wouldn't require too much extra work:

Jobs and careers

  • A simple but very effective way to improve active careers would be to randomise the tasks performed each day. There are plenty of available work tasks, so this seems like it should be relatively easy, while making the jobs feel a lot less stale and repetitive.

  • Many people have complained that jobs like 'firefighter' and 'K-POP star' only include administrative tasks. There's currently no option to actually fight fires or perform on stage. I'm guessing this is because each job has a specific 'workplace' which the Zois can't leave. So maybe you could assign part of the workday to the office (or fire station, etc.), and part of it to another location such as a performance stage? This could also vary depending on the employee's job rank.

  • Skill requirements: Both active and rabbithole careers should include relevant skill requirements for promotion.

  • Relationship requirements: Similarly, reaching higher ranks in your chosen career should require you to build business relationships (Peer or above) with your colleagues.

  • I don't want to make too many suggestions for new careers; however I'd love to see an active police career to accompany the new crime and justice system. Most of the required assets are already there (buildings, uniforms, animations), so it would mainly be a question of designing the ranks and tasks. Perhaps lower-level patrol officers could be assigned a street or public lot as a 'workplace', where they can arrest any criminals they encounter during their shift, while detectives and forensic investigators could do investigative work in the police station itself.

I imagine the small talk function is meant to give the player time to choose another interaction before the zoi leave, so yeah, it should only be used if the player’s zoi has no pending actions in the queue. ❗❗

More relatively simple, low-effort suggestions to improve gameplay systems:

Mining and crafting

  • Finding raw gemstones is very difficult. At the moment, if you want to craft and sell jewellery, you basically need to be skilled in both gathering and crafting - which is pretty unrealistic as well as frustrating for gameplay. Please make at least some gemstones available for purchase in the ingredients shop, even if the price is high.

  • On the other hand, there's no reason to be buying ordinary rocks and sticks. These should be freely avilable from mining spots (see below) and trees. Perhaps there could be a 'shake tree' or 'break off branch' interaction to get branches once you've picked up everything on the ground.

  • Rather than having mining spots randomly dotted around parks and streets, ideally there would be a lot with some kind of mine or quarry - but in the meantime, they could be placed in spots that make sense (e.g. around rivers).

  • Mining results should be more dependent on skill and less on mood and the pickaxe used. Even low skill levels should give at least a small chance of finding a gemstone.

  • Please remove the 'lethargic' moodlet for unsuccessful mining - it's annoying and just discourages you from trying at all. It would be better if even 'unsuccessful' results automatically granted you an ordinary rock.

  • Since raw stones tend to be low-value, it's hard to make a career from selling them. It would help if mining granted several stones per spot, rather than just one.

  • Crafting shouldn't cost any money if you have the appropriate materials in your inventory. What's the point of crafting a basic tool for the same price you can buy one?

  • Please make more materials available for jewellery crafting. I don't see why we can't craft jewels from lapis lazuli, for example.

  • Having tools randomly break is very frustrating, especially when you can't easily get the materials to replace them. At least let us fix them at a crafting table.

Im happy to hear the focus will mainly be on improving core features/ animations bc this would definitely make gameplay more enjoyable!… With that being said i think the “Set The Mood” interaction could use some tweaking…

  • My suggestion is they add a cuddle animation underneath the big heart that “covers” the 2 Zoi’s, or the 2 zois automatically kiss after accepting to set the mood together and then walk to the bed together…or add both…Overall it just feels like something should of been added in editing so it wouldn’t be so toned down compared to the romance in the rest of the game bc the kissing is actually more intimate than the “set the mood” which is a little backwards…

I saw some of the new incredible situational NPC intelligence GTA 6 is implementing in their game and it made me think of Inzoi right away!

Yeah, that’s what I did before and I have a 4090. However, I really don’t like the weird yellowish ambient interior lighting during daytime when realistic shadows are turned off. It makes the interior lighting looks washed out and flat. So I turned realistic shadows on, but then the lights started flickering. What I ended up doing was turning off frame generation while keeping realistic shadows and all cast shadows enabled. You can see the video I attached . This is my current workaround until the devs fix it.

I like the family tree, but can we please be able to make Zoi's siblings in create a Zoi? It's frustrating having to create a parent in order to make Zoi's siblings. Also in the in game family tree and also in the relationships panel, can we have labels ? It just says "relatives". It would be nice to see "cousin" "aunt" "uncle" "mother in law" "brother in law" "second cousin" "great aunt", etc.

Food Items Id like to see Implemented

Being able to buy family size snacks and meals that can give multiple servings, until its empty.

Popcorn and Chips which can have 12 servings and when zois eat from the bag there will be an animation of them pouring it out in a bowl they can eat from.
It would be cute if we could share too if another zoi is sitting beside us or with us at a table. They could eat from the same bowl.

Juice, Milk, and 2 Liter Sodas (8 servings) and each time a zoi wants some they would have an animation pouring some in a glass.

Boxes of Cereal (10 servings) zois can pour themselves a bowl and then add milk to it.

Ice-cream (8 servings) zois would scoop servings into a bowl

Boxed Instant microwave foods (8-10 servings)

Frozen dinners both single serve and Family style would give more servings. That can be cooked in microwave or oven.

Hopefully it gets the point across, but each food item would have respective animations. This helps zoi save money and not have to keep buying food over and over or keep prepping meals.

Issues with the Theft System and Custom Accessories

  1. Theft / Hacking System Is Poorly Balanced

The theft system feels very poorly balanced.

I have:

Sport level 10

Crafting level 10

Programming level 10

Crime level 5

Yet when hacking cameras, only 1 out of 6 attempts is successful.
All other attempts trigger the alarm.

With Programming level 10, I believe the chance of failure should be no higher than 5%, not around 80% as it feels right now.
At the moment, high skill levels do not feel rewarding or meaningful.

  1. Custom Accessories Disappear

All custom accessories disappear from the character after reloading a save.

This makes customization pointless, since everything is lost when you re-enter the game.

I'd like to resurrect an old request of mine, as it was not featured in this update like (we all) thought it would.
Control over the age group length.

Basically let us adjust how long each stage lasts.
Maybe allow us adjustment on those late stage senior chance of dying as well (we can tweak those in the modkit, but being able in game with the other stages would be really nice).

Kjun and team! We have no snow here just cold and grey skies really in the UK. I don't know what happened with the December update but so many good core mechanics have gone down in quality. The automy of the zoi's was better before, now when I choose my Zoi's likes 'they like piano', they rarely ever automatically play piano. The zois have stopped automatically doing their likes for some reason, and if they hate something they still do it automaticly? Please change it back it was much better before. Also why are all of my zois cleaning so much. My employee in my bakery mopped the pavement outside the store for 90% of her shift 🤣🤣🤣 Also if I assign a task for an employee like 'baking' they should do 90% that. My employee barely bakes and there is never enough stock for all the customers because of how little baking is happening automatically. Also I feel like with cooking and baking they should get faster and faster as their skills improve so we can increase profits. Right now in its current state it is really hard to service all the customers.

Hi @proper peak,

the recent Modkit update really caught me — and many others in the modding community — completely off guard, and to be honest, we’re feeling very overwhelmed right now. My feedback is focused exclusively on the new material management system.

For modders, this change means a massive amount of extra work. Updating existing mods will take months. In my case alone, I have around 130 mods, some with up to 10 variants each. This would require redoing UVs in Blender, packing everything into single textures, re-importing assets, and recreating materials, including RGB, Normal Maps, and ARM Maps.

Many of us don’t have high-end “spaceship” PCs, which makes this process extremely slow and exhausting. Players really love our mods, and we contribute a lot to the overall gameplay experience. From my point of view, an update of this scale is simply very hard to handle.

It’s also very important to understand that, like many other modders, I started out working purely with visual assets.
I am not a scripter at all and have zero experience with scripting. I exclusively create 3D assets and nothing beyond that — just like many others in the community.
JSON patch editing is completely unfamiliar territory for me, and I honestly don’t know how to work with it.

Realistically, the only option for me right now is to work on one or two mods at a time alongside my full-time job. At that pace, it would take me around half a year just to finish updating everything — and that’s assuming I do nothing else in my free time.
That is incredibly depressing.

This is a very serious concern, and I strongly feel that this update needs to be revisited or adjusted. I want to continue doing what I actually enjoy: creating new content and bringing fresh ideas, instead of spending months reworking existing assets. Without changing this huge issue and turning it back into how it worked before, I can sadly predict, inZOI will loose it’s biggest and successful modders and we want this journey to stay alive. We NEED transparent communication with the modding community besides roadmaps.

Business Feedback

I’ve played about 5 hours so far limiting myself to $200, taking up the free café business in Cahaya. Overall, businesses feel like they’re on the right trajectory, but ofc nowhere near a good state

1. First business being free
The first business you get should not just be handed to you for free in a top-notch state.

If this is temporary for testing purposes, that’s fine. But long term, it makes no sense to be able to acquire a fully functional business for free whenever you want.

If a free business exists at all, it should be completely ransacked in need of makeover.

Even then, it should still cost something (like $100), unless:

You start the game already owning a business, or it’s inherited as part of character creation. It should not be an option you can casually pick up at any point.

2. Orders & cafe gameplay loop
Right now, it doesn't feel like you're actually running a business.
There are no real orders that are tracked or waiting to be fulfilled. The gameplay is basically:

  • Spam food
  • Put them on display
  • automatically sells as you keep making more

There’s no pressure, no prioritization, and no sense of customer demand. It feels like producing items into a void.

We really need:

  • Actual orders that customers place
  • An order queue
  • Consequences for taking too long or making the wrong thing

3. Employee behavior & control
Employees need much better control and logic.

Right now they kind of just do whatever they want with their loose settings given with minimal control over their priorities. And if you leave them alone, they often don’t work properly unless micromanaged

They also only start walking from their house when the business opens, making them 30+ minutes late

4. Recipe system
The recipe screen seems like it exists only for employees, but you, as the owner, don’t actually have to follow it.

You can make whatever you want regardless of what’s listed, which makes the system feel half-implemented.

The recipe list should matter for everyone, especially when customers get updated to physically order things, and for possibly adding...

5. Ingredient & stock management
Ingredient stock management needs to be a full system, not a partial one for some items.

Currently some items vaguely use ingredients, But most selling is disconnected from stock

What’s needed:

*You shouldn’t be able to sell items if you don’t have ingredients
*Recipes should require multiple ingredients
*Running out of stock should matter

This would greatly improve the feeling of actually running a business.

6. Pricing logic
Pricing needs to be far more strategic and consistent.

Right now, it follows a very basic rule:

Bad quality > sells for less

Good quality > sells for more

That’s obv not how pricing works.

Instead:

  • Prices should be set per item
  • Customer behavior should change based on how expensive items are
  • Quality should affect satisfaction and reputation, not just raw sell price

7. Hiring depth
Hiring employees is extremely shallow.

Right now you can only hire people you’ve already met in the world

Instead, we should be able to:

  • Post job ads (flyers, online listings)
  • Get applicants you’ve never met
  • Train employees over time
  • Manage their mood, needs, and skill growth

8. Difficulty & progression
There is currently no difficulty at all in making money through businesses.

Even at 0 stars, Customers come consistently and you can live off that income for life
It only gets easier as stars go up

The startup phase should be harder:

*Needing promotion
*Needing higher quality
*Needing customer satisfaction to actually grow

Right now, businesses print money far too easily.

9. Custom/home businesses
I haven’t tested this, but IF not there:

You should be able to start custom businesses using your house property, even small-scale side income like a vending machine checkpoint
Especially since we already have large outdoor items that could support it

Economy, Skills, and Progression Feedback

Borrowing money from friends is too broken.

I tried borrowing money from the one friend I had. I expected something small, like $100 max, and obviously expected to have to pay it back.

Instead, they gave me a WHOPPING $2000, straight out of their pocket, with no requirement to return it at all. That’s extremely strange, especially since it's literally called borrowing.

This really needs:

  • limits on how much can realistically be borrowed
  • Mandatory repayment

Making money with no effort in general

Just by living my life normally, I constantly get “natural disaster” events like stormy rain or extreme heat. These happen at least once a week, and every single time I get $500 as compensation.

That makes no sense.

These events aren’t even major, happen constantly, and pay out to every citizen

If this stuff is so common, why is the compensation so high? And what’s even the point of insurance if you get paid regardless?

Programming is extremely broken

Programming is another massive money exploit, mainly because skill leveling is way too fast.

In my playthrough:

  • I saved up for the $340 computer
  • In 3 days, programming maybe twice a day, I hit level 10
  • After that, I could just spam high-level programs which consistently sell for Perfect quality at $1000 each

This also ignores the fact that you’re making money while leveling up, with zero risk or challenge at any stage.

Programming really needs a full rework, not just a sell-price nerf.

Ideally:

  • It should start off very difficult, like e a side hobby early on
  • Take at least a week before making small side money
  • Take closer to a month before you can realistically go full-time

Just changing numbers would be boring, so this needs actual depth. Programming should be more strategic, possibly with a minigame or strategic multi-step systems. You should even be able to turn it into a business, like running a programming HQ with desks and employees working on long-term projects where the focus would be on quality and big payouts.

It feels like the game wants every Zoi to reach level 10 in everything, but I really think:

  • Zois should have skill affinities
  • You shouldn’t master every skill in under a month

Gardening progression is also too fast

You can reach level 10 in around 20 harvests, mostly because you get XP from everything:

  • Flattening
  • Planting
  • Watering
  • Weed plucking
  • Fertilizing
  • Harvesting

That’s 6 XP events on a single plot, and still 5 after flattening once. It completely skips over the mid-game of the skill.

Skill progression pacing

Because XP is gained so fast, I barely have time to actually use what I unlock between levels 2–9.

I unlock something new, try it once, and then

  • I level up again
  • Unlock something better
  • Repeat

There’s no real time to engage with the content.

Instead of speeding everything up to avoid “meaningless grind,” the better solution would be to simple remove meaningless grind by adding meaningful gameplay at each level

If every level gave new things to do, progression wouldn’t feel slow even if it took longer.

with that, skills should unlock new systems, not just better stats

Right now, progression mostly just means:

  • Better recipes
  • Better programs
  • Better pastries
  • Better fitness
  • Etc

Instead, skills should unlock new systems and mechanics, for example:

  • Unlocking new cooking methods, not just recipes
  • Programming unlocking things like hacking or competitions is already a good feature
  • Unlocking mochi making, pizza ovens, birthday cakes
  • Unlocking harder workout equipment or new calisthenics options

This would make leveling exciting without rushing it.

Equipment should be locked behind skill levels

For example:

  • Level 0 cooking should only allow microwaves
  • Level 0 coffee making should only allow pod machines
  • Advanced equipment requires higher skill levels

This alone would massively improve pacing and realism.

Thank you for the new update. I really enjoyed the new business feature and found it fun to explore.

However, I noticed that this update was announced as being focused on family, children, and infants, but I didn’t find any noticeable new content related to that. For example, you mentioned that parents would be able to give infants warm milk, but I couldn’t find this feature at all in the game.

There are also several family-life improvements that I believe inZOI really needs, such as:
• Laundry interactions for the whole family
• Cooking together
• Sitting and gathering around the table together
• Watching movies together
• Riding in the car together

Additionally, couples should not receive a negative reaction when they are in the bathroom together.

Regarding clothing behavior, outfits should not change automatically except when sleeping. After waking up, I would like my character to remain in sleepwear. Likewise, during workouts or at the beach, clothes should not change automatically. I want my character to walk on the beach in swimwear and jog or walk outside in sportswear without forced outfit changes.

Also, a character’s mood or state should not change when autonomous control is turned off.

Finally, I noticed that when cooking in my own restaurant, even with a high cooking skill, the food quality often turns out poor without a clear reason.

Thank you for your hard work, and I hope you consider these points for future updates.

Customers are buying too quickly, so our shelves are always empty. We can't keep up with sales, so we can't restock even if we want to. You need to show customers the motion of thinking about what to buy before they buy it right away. And if we can skillfully and courteously interact with them while they're deciding, our chances of making a sale increase. We need to pay attention to even the smallest details.

Custom worlds. Premade worlds get boring quickly, custom worlds would add tons of replayability and wouldn't let get bored.

Bugs that are ruining my game:

  1. Mannequins still reset body types to default, and do not reflect weight gain or muscle mass, just everybody is skinny and weak looking, cannot take any theme studio pics since Halloween update because of this.
  2. Autonomy has to be turned off or all my zois just constantly vaccuum and take baths, nothing else, over and over, all at the same time, cannot stop bathing and vacuuming. And every morning when they wake up their autonomy turns back on, I have to switch it back off every single morning to stop them from just bathing and vacuuming all day again.
  3. Zois can no longer be saved from customzoi because that screen doesn't show their name and traits and it will not let you save zois now without that so I can never save my pre-existing zois again or move my current family to a new save because I can't save any of them anymore.

Afterschool activities and More Activities for kids:

  • Football practice and other sports and fields where games are held for parents to come cheer on their kids
  • Cheerleading practice, volleyball, basketball etc
  • Afterschool center for homework, and drawing activities
  • School projects for kids to work on (science projects etc)
  • School Field Trips- kids still go to school like normal but sometimes a window will pop up informing parents about school field trips and the kids dress up and go to a rabbithole field trip to either the zoo, amusement park, pet shelter, etc
  • Camping field trip- kids stay for about a week to a kids camp ground at the end of the school year and wear camping outfits before leaving and maybe bring back cool things to show to their parents and have different things to talk about skills they’ve developed.
  • Sleepovers at friends houses where they bring a sleeping bag, have pillow fights, paint their nails, and watch a movie
    These are just some ideas I thought about to make family gameplay more fun and immersive.

Walls need a price

I said this before but again, walls should not be completely free; there always needs a limit. If that limit was reduced, that’s fine, but completely free walls are immersion breaking when building something for my zoi, as i’m not even worrying about architectural costs.

My old mansions i made that don’t have an interior cost a measly $500 from misc costs. What kinda mansion is $500?

This isn’t IKEA simulator where only furniture costs money.

So:
Discount it if it’s rly needed, but never completely remove it

Also fix other needed problems like sitting when eating everyyy single time… you even need to sit down on customer tables to eat when ur in ur business which shouldn’t happen.

Also autonomous eating, as my zoi eats the same 2 quick bites every time, but maybe i want them to eat better foods that they cook instead of the same mac n cheese or bibimbap every time?

My zoi is malicious and has a high art skill. It would be cool if you allowed us to job art from the gallery, in a sophisticated heist. 🤣 I imagine it could work well similar to an event with the court room. The court room system is pretty great by the way! The prosecutor was the malicious David Martin from Dowon and some how I ended up not guilty on my first try! Doesn't make sense for him to be a prosecutor though as he is currently employed in the criminal career! I think the lawyers should be actually in the career or independent zoi from somewhere else. I also thought it was weird that the person I extorted wasn't in court, I wanted to fight her 🤪🤣🤷🏾‍♀️

I also fought this other woman who wouldn't let me extort her and someone rang the police I immediately ran away because I didn't want to go to court again. I ran to a subway and started running home, the police man had found me and was walking right behind so I legged it home. Got inside and fully did laundry and a shower and this man still ran into my house and arrested me. I feel like your house should be some sort of safe zone? Or the should stop chasing you at some point? And if you go inside and change your look they can't recognise and arrest you but you will still have warrants and wanted posters out for you. I just think there needs to be a clever but challenging way to evade police. 🤷🏾‍♀️

I want to mention something about the conversations in inZOI, there’s an option where you can choose to “inquiring about criminal background” and “inquiring about past imprisonment”.. that’s fun when you’re into criminal gameplay, but for the ones who wanna keep their game sweet and soft this thing is kinda shoved into our faces.. I have no idea why you would ask a stranger or a new friend if they ever got into prison or that they have a criminal background, i’m sorry to say this but i find it really strange.. 😕 i think this option should only be triggered for a zoi that has touched the criminal activity or zoi’s that have a malicious trait.. other wise, i find this really weird.

I hope for a mountain map with camping, lakes, waterfalls, nature scenery, fishing, boat rides, hiking, wild life, cabins, crystal caves and snow activities/sports and really want to see more long hair!! Long hair has the smallest selection in create a Zoi. I hope to see styles like these, Long layered hair, deep side part long hairstyles with textures like these and wedding styles like these for formal events with wedding clips.

there needs to be designated employee zones; not needing to make it walled off with an employee door. This can be done as an invisible area or specific flooring. You also shouldn't be able to brush your teeth at a work sink, nor for your zoi to be doing anything home related in general like sleeping, making food casually, and sitting to eat with customers. Right now it feels as if businesses are homes that can also make u money; not a professional environment. Looking forward to fixes.

For this to be between two criminals only would limit some storytelling. A non criminal should still sometimes be able to ask if another zoi is a criminal. In real life, people can ask all sorts of questions. Some people might see a suspicious looking person and ask if they are a criminal, even though that person isn’t or if they may want to date, they might ask if this person has been imprisoned or not, just to make sure they aren’t dating a criminal who might become future parent to their child. (I have seen real people ask this 😅) or maybe players are using this to directly find a criminal.

I like that InZoi allows you to ask all sort of fun questions, when I see youtubers who wants to make a funny gameplay, it makes these questions funny, depending on the situation.

If you really wanted to play as that story, you would set it up in CAZ with ur personalities and stuff, not have the 99% just ignore it forever. its perfectly reasonable in my eyes to turn it off unless requirements are met

Again, I am going base of who I replied to. You said zoi upon a relationship selection then we can bring it up, which is a good suggestion. I was replying to someone else’s suggestion, asking for it to be between criminals only to ask that very question, which would limit storytelling for some people.

We do not have a poll to be saying only 1% of players.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to Kjun and the inZOI Team! Looking forward to what next year will bring us. I see that a lot of the requests on the discord are about crimes and prison, but what I'm hoping for in 2026 is some elegant or glamorous content.
Like:

A map with a beach, fashion houses, fashion shows, big luxury homes, curved streets, department stores, malls, beauty salons, condos, etc.
More accessories such as customizable purses and handbags, diamond necklaces, ankle bracelets, charm bracelets, sundresses, evening gowns, fur coats, fancy dresses and lingerie.
Plus more elegant shoes like stiletto heels, ballet flats and wedges.
High performance sports cars and convertibles, subcompact cars
Movie star, TV star, pop star, rapper, model, fashion design, government and law careers.

I've been working on a story about glamour and looking to use it as a pitch to the developers for adding that, although I'm beginning to learn how to mod, thus when the script mods are released I'll be enjoying more

Feature Request: “Super Donuts” in the Meow Shop

Please add a new section to the Meow Shop called “Super Donuts.”

The key feature of these donuts is that they cost more, but provide permanent buffs.

Examples:

  1. Super Donut that reduces toilet need by 50%
  2. Super Donut that reduces sleep need by 50%
  3. Super Donut that reduces hunger need by 50%

At the moment, I almost don’t use the Meow Shop at all, because I’m not interested in farming Meow Coins and completing tasks just for temporary buffs.

I prefer long-term character progression with permanent upgrades.
A similar system existed in The Sims 3, and it made progression much more engaging and rewarding.

How come with every update the graphics keep getting worse? I’m running everything maxed out on a 5080 with DLAA, and graphics are so bad I even installed Reshade and tried tweaking things, but after comparing screenshots with the previous version, I don’t even feel like bothering anymore. When I saw YouTubers playing the early build, I thought the graphics looked bad because their PCs weren’t powerful enough and they were running on low- medium settings. But now that I’ve installed it myself, it looks exactly the same. Patch Note said they adjusted the lighting and assets for optimization, but I never imagined it would be this bad.

[picture 5,6]Before, it really looked like a realistic, actual street. Now it’s just a blurry, low-quality night scene from a cheap game.

[picture 7,8]= the toaster and fridge used to be sky blue, but now it looks like a dull gray. The microwave used to look sharp, but now it’s blurry. zoi’s hair looks clumpy compared to before, and the kitchen cabinets were clear green, but now they look like muddy light green

What drew me to inzoi was the amazing visuals, but those graphics I fell in love with are gone. What scares me is that it won’t stop here, it feels like it’s only going to get worse, because with every update the graphics keep degrading bit by bit, and I have no idea where the bottom is.

I never noticed it much because the lot you're on does have a lot of people on it usually, but I paid special attention to it now and I definitely notice a difference compared to before the december update. I have population maxed out.

I'm compiling a list of feedback as a response to today's update that Kjun will be posting and the graphics changing and draw distance/population density changing is on it. It's fine to give mid and low-grade PC's better optimization options, but they should be options. We should be given the choice to sacrifice performance for better graphics. My game was smooth as butter before the december update, so these changes really weren't necessary. I get that the new features added more load to the performance, but I was MILES away from experiencing any FPS lag.

The unpleasant impression of the ghost town was somewhat eased by the fact that during park events the game actually started grouping NPCs into families during conversations. Moreover, one member of another family may join the dialogue, and then a second may follow. In v0.4 they spawned separately. They are clearly working on NPCs, and sometimes they keep quiet even about good things. But it’s a pity they also keep quiet about the bad ones.

Once this system is implemented, families will naturally talk more often and move together when visiting parks.
Next, I’m waiting for NPC families to also start walking together, couples holding hands, with children in strollers... Not at the cost of crowd density, but in a more impressive way, obviously. The group, multitasking, and recognition systems are for now at an early stage.

As I understand it, the number of Lumen GI samples per frame is gradually being reduced, which means the render fails to gather enough data on indirect light, occlusion, and shadows. As a result, denoiser fills pixels with averaged light, producing noise and blotchy artifacts. In UE, when Hardware Ray Tracing is enabled, part of the sampling is handled by the hardware with single‑bounce calculations, but still through the common Lumen pipeline. This provides slightly more accurate information about reflected light and reflections (for example, tree crowns look more volumetric.) However, the overall noise and blotchy artifacts of Lumen don’t disappear. Path Tracing accounts for multiple light bounces and can replace Lumen in GI tasks, but it remains too heavy and has really proven itself only in CP2077 (and Red Engine is much better optimized.)

What could really help is a complete separation of a low‑spec mode with reduced-feature shaders from a hi‑spec mode with maximum surface cache, voxel detail, and Lumen GI distance, and consequently minimal interference from that nasty denoiser.

To be honest, in my personal opinion, the "donut reward" isn't fun or particularly appealing... It doesn't really motivate players to fulfill the "expectations" of zois.
The reward system introduced in The Sims 2 and 3 20 years ago was much more fun and stimulated dopamine.
I'd like to see it give players the strong sense of satisfaction they get from "accomplishing something they want."
I hope inzoi comes up with their own attractive reward system.

Two common solutions to remove GI Noise without downgrading shaders:
– Set Global Illumination to Epic (but in inZOI they chose to downgrade our GI: Ultra)
– Set Final Gather Quality to 1.0 or higher.

to remove noise from Reflections – r.Lumen.Reflections.MaxRayIntensity or Scene Tracing / Reflection bounces

All in all, initially, inZOI’s render quality was comparable to native UE Epic settings, but then they started cutting everything at the shader level, leaving us no options.

Hello Kjun and Team, I hope you all had a wonderful holiday.
I absolutely have to request this again. Please, please fix these spontaneous pregnancies.

In my new save, my Zoi was pregnant in the first 30 mins of starting the game and never even set the mood or tried for a baby with her spouse. The second time, she was cleaning the house, I changed characters to her son, so he could initiate conversation with her and when I changed back to her, she had a take pregnancy test notif. This is an active household and I’m not even sure why this is a thing.

I would like to see an option to disable autonomous pregnancy by households. I should be able to choose if I want my Zois to have children. I’m personally not interested in younger Zois or raising them. I play rotationally and it’s super tedious to have to monitor whether or not I need to remove a pregnancy. It removes the fun because I feel like I have to keep checking to make sure something I don’t want to happen, doesn’t happen.

It’s one of the main reasons I don’t like to play. If I can’t choose my gameplay, then why play?

I found a parameter they added in v0.5 that reduces the crowd: Clamped Max Crowd Spawn Count. And once again, even though the clamp can be easily adjusted from 0 to 100, they didn’t give us an in‑game setting.

I want to raise a concern about how the Christmas holiday items were distributed in the Dec 23 update.

On my account, an older save file received the in-game text message and holiday items correctly, but a newer save file (created weeks before the update) never received the message or the items at all. This suggests the holiday reward trigger may be tied to specific save-state conditions rather than being account-wide.

This is frustrating for players who invested significant time into newer saves and then found themselves locked out of limited-time content with no fallback. If the only trigger is a text message, there’s no way for affected players to recover the items.

For future events, it would really help player trust if seasonal items were account-wide, manually claimable, or available through build mode, so access isn’t dependent on a hidden or inconsistent trigger. I really enjoy the game and want to see it succeed long-term.

There's still a lot missing for Inzoi to be fun in the long run, but I think the game is on the right way. Keep it up!
Your decision to focus on the core elements in 2026 is absolutely right in my opinion. New content is important too, but quality should always take precedence over quantity. Please concentrate on these big problems:

  • A deep family life > more interactions across all age stages, shared activities at home and in public places (walking hand in hand, picnics,…)
  • reworked adolescents (size between child and teen), improved appearance of infants, toddlers (no/ not all teeth), child’s (slimmer faces) and seniors (older body skin)
  • integrate all age stages in CaZ (all ages should be adaptable, including pregnant women), add the option to show all created family members standing together (for family pictures) and let’s adjust the family tree with advanced options
  • all objects must be usable! Especially for babies
  • More individual personalities (traits like fearless, shy, clumsy,...) -
  • More options for favorites/ likes/ dislikes and also added in CaZ
  • Chemistry system with turn ons und turn offs for better dating added in CaZ
  • Length of every age stage adjustable
  • longer activities/ object interactions in accordance with the length of a day (hobbies like sports or playing music should only end when the player wants them to)
  • reworked skills (better balancing with different animations based on the level)
  • saisonal events (Halloween/Christmas) should definitely be based on the in-game season/ in-game calendar system and not on the real-life one
  • better holiday options > no need to buy a house while on vacation and a tourist feeling (buying souvenirs, eating unique dishes, learning local dances,...)
  • more bug fixing (sit down often while talking, vacuuming in the garden, …) and minor improvements (automatic lighting, no automatic changing sleepwear in another outfit after sleeping, …)

Should there be some completely new content, I would be pleased with the following: playable hospitals and illnesses, more crime and legal system options, a memory system, birthday events, In-game photo album to capture/tell stories and the option to use pictures of the Zoi as wall/ table decor in houses, new skills/hobbies like sew, couple dancing, martial arts, astronomy, photography,…, more active jobs (doctor/ nursery, prison guard, kindergarten teacher), more public facilities like shopping malls, a skate park as a meeting point for youngers, a usable playground for children, a nursery school for toddlers. But the points above carry more weight for me. ☺️

Yeah we need the ability to hide like in mostly RPG shooter games (though it happens in others) to ward off the cops 😛 but there needs to be an intelligence where people recognize you, for example your scenario, jf the person you exported runs across you again they can call the cops and turn you in.

But right not it feels very Orwellian lol where they know where you are at ALL times 😛 which is unrealistic. I honestly wouldn't mind a 'deactivate phone' or 'throw phone in the river' function so authorities cant trace you.

Exactly and seeing this is why I kinda havent played as much. Its very immersion breaking others might not care, but a lot of us do. Including the graphic quality going down tremendously. I used to take my zoi who lived in Dowon to this high rise cafe I cant remember the name and be able to watch the cars from the building and it was pretty high, now its empty. Or just walk around the world to just admire it and follow zois to learn the map a bit. It was so nice I was in awe like wow we really got a life sim with this graphic and crowd quality. It gave me all sorts of ideas for making machinima now its beginning to look-bleak of that happening, because the moving world is not seamless anymore and too empty to get the shots I hoped. Also when playing direct control mode its annoying to have cars pop in and you hit one because it wasnt loaded 😒 I know we are to get Canvastown soon. That is still early to tell if this will be an issue as well or not, despite the intention, but I hope it gets fixed before then for the regular game.

We need graphics back to its original settings and give options to those who need it, to run high graphical settings to tweak on their own. Otherwise im hoping Camvas town will give that early March world back we remember.

More thoughts on bakeries. I have put seats in my bakery and we also serve coffee.

  1. Please make coffee work like a normal Barista where the zoi wait for their order to be made then takes it to go or to sit down and drink.

  2. It is unrealistic for zoi to take a whole plate of donuts. Please change the design of the game play so zoi can take a single donut /cake to sit down and eat or order a whole box of donuts to take to go not a gaint plate.

3)Employees should only clean at the end of the day and when there is a dirty plate or mess or something, not constantly.

  1. With that said it would be cool if we could set a schedule for employees. 'Lunch is at this time' deep cleaning happens after closing.

  2. To add to that I think there should be an option to fully stock everything in the morning before opening so the day doesn't start with no baked goods. My bakery stalls are almost always empty because zoi take whole plates. Maybe to deal with this there should be business items with prestocked items zoi can buy so everything doesn't need to be booked/baked? So we can make more money? Really struggling to become a millionaire with the way it works currently.

We need a maximum-security prison or penitentiary. I would like to see a larger facility for serious crimes and long-term incarcerations. It is necessary to send hardened criminals to maximum-security prisons

We can have two prisons one for petty crimes and one for serious longterm prisoners.

Adding more details and including more serious offenders in the long-term prison. The high-security prison should be located on a separate lot, with serious criminals being teleported to that location.

Nowadays, a social network is the core of any life simulator. Without an in-game social network, there is no point in playing. The audience doesn't care if the ocean looks perfect or if the waves are flawless; they want a true life simulator, not an empty shell.
Current data proves this: the player count has dropped from around 88,000 at launch to about 3,500. Users log in, build their dream home, explore the cities, then get bored and stop playing. You want to add freelance careers... but without an internal social network, how are these careers supposed to develop?
People want gossip; they want to post their photos and videos on a social platform and communicate with other Zois living in the cities. They want followers and the ability to reply to messages, just like in real life on Instagram. Adding physical bulletin boards on walls? That’s embarrassing.
A life simulation game in 2026 without social media? At that point, I might as well play The Sims. If you don't fix this, many console users simply won't buy the game."

Dear Devs, Mr Kjun and inZOI Team:- The fundamentals should include complete travel. Currently when traveling from Zois home city to another city, game loads the default city map that has all game official updates lots BUT still loads the default families. The home region (Zois home region travelling from) has persistent save data while other cities regions do not. Need to fix/unable multi-city save system, persistent region/cities data, travel serialization and cross-map state application. Destination Cities to load saved progress when travelling. This is very important to have a complete travel in game to experience more fun real gameplay - to visit Zois from players' saved game/families in another city...This should be top in the list of those fundamentals.
