Today is our company’s anniversary, so I’m writing this update from home instead of the office.

To be honest… this week was quite tough.Psycat_Sad
The multitasking feature we’ve been developing kept throwing unexpected technical issues at us, and it was pretty exhausting.
When I say in interviews that “the inZOI team and I are new to this genre, practically beginners,” it’s not humility—it’s simply the truth. There’s so much to learn, and just as many hurdles to overcome.

But even during hard weeks like this, I find comfort in watching the Zoi sitting at their computers, talking naturally with their families.
It reminds me, “Right, this is why we’re making this.”
And the group behavior system is actually showing better results than we expected, so I’m really eager to show it to all of you.
Unfortunately… this week’s build behaved a little too strangely, so both new features will have to wait until they’re ready.

This week, most of our work focused on improving core interactions—like having Zoi sit and face each other properly when they talk.
We also began preparing winter outfits and Christmas decorations for December, so I’m sharing those with you first.🎄

It feels like 2025 just started yesterday, but somehow we’re already nearing the end of the year.
I’ll see you again in the next update in December.

Omg the kid smacking her baby sibling is too real lmao. Love all the new family interactions (especially the child comforting the parent!) and the business stuff looks promising!

Don't feel too bad for having a bad week, we all have them. It's good you are transparent about this and aren't afraid to tell us when things don't go as planned.

For multitasking, I highly recommend going at it step by step, starting with the most important ones (sitting, eating and talking to your fellow Zoi), before trying to take on too much at once. I think multitasking is essential to add before full release but not the main thing that keeps people from enjoying the game, so it is also something that could be fine tuned or expanded on later.

Watching the kid smack her sibling inspired me to give you some more ideas for family interactions and child gameplay:

  • Maybe you can add an interaction where, if a kid asks the parent to make a meal for them, there's a chance they don't like what they're being given and they throw it on the floor or sit with their arms crossed and refuse to eat the meal. You could then add the option for the parent to scold the child so they will eat the meal or to spoil the child and make them another meal that they do like.
  • In the genre of siblings fighting, you could add stuff like siblings fighting over who gets to use the computer (like add an interaction 'complain it's your turn at the pc' with a kid throwing a tantrum behind the kid playing on the pc or something like that)
  • Siblings stealing each other's stuff (or: complain sibling stole your outfit)
  • Siblings pranking each other
  • Siblings ratting each other out to their parents ('tell mom sibling has a boyfriend' 'tell mom sibling smacked the baby on the head' 'tell dad sibling didn't do their homework' etc. followed by the parent going to scold the child being ratted out)

And some more positive interactions:

  • Siblings brushing each other's hair
  • Siblings helping each other with homework
  • Siblings playing hide and seek, tag, rock paper scissors, that sort of stuff

Oh I love these new features and the Christmas items look so good. One thing you can count on is for the designers to add some beautiful CAZ items. I never use clothing mods in this game, because the clothes are already amazing and I just know we'll get even more. It's just a matter of time.

I am excited to see the new build mode objects. As a builder I always want more build items. I hope we get some more architectural detailing options in 2026. I want to be able to create classical American Victorian and colonial homes.

The small details like the child comforting the parent and the sibling interaction are the kind of details that really make for great gameplay moments. We've seen some great improvements this year and I look forward to how much better this game will be by the end of 2026.

Thank you for the update Kjun! I love the kids consoling parent interaction and the interaction between siblings, but particularly I love that we are getting different home screen backgrounds that maybe one day we can choose between or combine! Doodle_Heart

When first coming into Inzoi at release I remember how impressed I was with how sleek and modern the UI looked. It was so easy on the eyes and made the game feel so much more cinematic.
Unfortunately there has been alot of changes made since then, that at least for me feels very overstimulating.
It would mean so much to me if we could have the option to select and use the old UI in our current game.
I am very sorry to hear that it has been a exausting week and I want to thank you so much for all the effort and hard work you and the team put into this game!

Dear Devs, Mr Kjun and InZOI Team - Smile and always believe that you can do all to make inZOI better. So far so good. It's just that players have very high expectations and always forget that the other stimulations game has so much mods in game and the game has been in the market for so many years and inZoi is always being compared to and expected to have same gameplay mechanics and stimulation. InZoi Team you all are doing well so far. The game is enjoyable without any mods or custom content in game. Sometimes need to play creatively and play right to enjoy the game. Gameplay core meachnics need to improve slowly. As beginners in this life stimulation game , you are all doing rather well in these eight months since release of early access. The important thing is that to fix glitches or bugs and find out the root cause why bugs that exhibit more than three months ago resurfaced again (as in inzoi partner's video). ❤️ 🥰 💪 Another important thing is always keep mechanics that work well and not remove them or replace them but make it better. Stuff/core game mechanics that work well are being removed/replaced. I will not repeat what are the stuff that are being removed or repalced. May the team explain why so will not request again. Thank you.

I noticed that Temperaments and Traits is now translated as Traits and Characteristics, so I hope the devs have something to show… maybe not only different names, but also significant improvements. While we debate pre-early access dynamic OCEAN system, enneagram-like radial system, RPG‑style branching and personality skills, and LLM/sLM-based personality development and other systems, it’d be valuable to know how the devs envision their model in a more refined form.

Indeed, I also support any updates regarding the Karma system and everything related to improvement of inZOI’s foundations and original ideas.

Significant improvements overall. But, once again, I'm disappointed with the business management system or how the commercial buildings function in general.

None of them have HUMAN service; no employee really seems to be working. I mean... This might be common in Korea, a customer arriving at a kiosk, serving themselves, and getting their food. But this completely takes away from the immersive gameplay experience. It completely removes the need for an employee at the counter or serving tables.

It's also worth remembering that not all countries work this way. In many cultures, we appreciate the feeling of being welcomed by store employees. We like being served, we like to chat or** ask for help if needed**, and we also like to tip for good service. Please keep this in mind for future updates regarding businesses and commercial buildings.

I'm loving the updates! Thanks for all of the hard work. I would like to ask again for an option to turn off the games involvement in making big decisions for the player. I play rotationally and have found my families pregnant or have had a child. This decision should be mine and not the games. Thanks again!

Employees are coming at some point. From Kjun's response to the previous update:

Our current development is still modest compared to your expectations, and we apologize for that.
We are working on new lots that families can own, allowing players to purchase land and build their own shops. You’ll be able to hire employees, set wages, and provide services using their various skills. You can also set business hours, enable automated operations, and run franchises.

Finally simply sitting on a chair will also fill energy instead of only when the relax interaction is used. Thank you.

I appreciate the new gloves category but please include a bag accessory category as well and a body tattoo category. There doesn't need to be a lot of stuff in the categories for now, 1 item is enough for a start. As a modder, I just need the category with the correct layer level for adding new mods. I also would love bracelets and watches that go on the right wrists.

We still need at least 1 stiletto heels for female zois. The new boots and clothes are cute but please add more fashionable items.

Will the style preset allow us to save ALL outfits on our zoi?! This is crucial! Right now only the first outfit gets saved.

I'm excited for the Christmas decorations around town, please don't hold back with the options. Actually I was thinking it would be great if we were able to add our own custom city decorations! How can modders place objects in that section?

Are we still on track for the rest of the outfit category modding coming in December? Will the blender and Maya plugins also get an update? They haven't been updated for a long time.

I'm excited for the businesses. I saw flowers in the zois hand. Will we be able to grow and pick our own flowers and arrange them into bouquets to sell (or use for decoration)? This would be an awesome addition!

Congratulations on your anniversary! Hope Krafton gives your team a well deserved raise! For first timers in this genre, your team is learning at a fast pace. Hopefully some gurus in the genre can offer some consultation although I have no doubt, and I'm fully confident your team will be able to figure it out and excel! 힘내세요! ❤️ As your skills improve, so will the level of details and I'm excited to be part of the process of watch your growth.

One thing, sitting across and talking isn't as intimate as sitting side by side and talking. So hopefully we can get both and the eye tracking can be resolved so that they can sit side by side and chat and still look at each other (same goes with watching tv or looking at objects, the eyes and head should focus and follow the object not look distant).

  1. It would be nice to walk and wander around holding hands with your loved one. Also slow dancing . And “passionate kiss” It would be great if it was added. 2. Vampire / Werewolf / Fairy / Witch / Mermaid / Zodiac Signs ; If these systems come the game will be diversified. Also “Into the Future” ,“Aliens” “Celebrity” DLC like this should be released . 3.Butler , Robot vacuum cleaner , School Bus , Bicycle , Preteen ( adolesent ) ; Shortcomings in the game. These should be added. “Preteen” should be added as the new Zoi age. ( Between Teen and Child ) . We should also be able to buy businesses to generate passive income. Childrens can now use bikes and scooters instead of just walking. And gloves and masks very necessary ;

I had seen that post. But it seemed a bit brief and vague to me.
If it works the way it does in The Sims 4, I think it's still very shallow gameplay. I don't want to sound toxic or negative, I know, it's still too early to say something like that at this point. But I'm afraid Inzoi is drawing too much inspiration from outdated The Sims 4 gameplay, because the fans themselves are already tired of it.

EDIT: I'm mainly referring to gameplay with more detail, enhanced to Unreal Engine 5 standards. Responsive and realistic in terms of NPC intelligence.

Not just repeating automated actions like the NPCs in The Sims 4, where there doesn't seem to be contextual action and reaction in a work environment. There's no problem in taking inspiration from basic shop operating patterns, as long as the same mistakes from there aren't repeated in Inzoi.

If you can forgive us for pointing this out a lot, please make the Zoi interaction more human sad Cafes, bars, our business.. there should be employees, welcoming us, serving our zois. As it is now, these spaces look too empty, without a soul.

Also another suggestion - At noon, Zois should naturally flock to restaurants. At night, Zois should want to go to places like the karaoke, bar, etc. Maybe there is a way these places can feel more alive at certain times so we feel that its more natural.

The progress looks amazing BruteChefsKiss One thought I had was about adding different behaviours for eye contact depending on the Zoi, similar to how people vary in real life. Some people maintain a steady, direct gaze (like the Gen Z stare), while others prefer softer, occasional glances depending on their comfort limit and/or social cues. Having this reflected in the Zoi could make interactions feel even more natural and immersive.

Also, it would be great to know in advance if you can share when you’re planning to release the December update.

Wow okay I had to pause a lot bc there were a lot of details. I love the vibrant business signs and decorations. I love how there's going to be city decorations for holidays as well! The new console animation looks super emotional which is good for gameplay!

I also saw a case board.. does this mean the police career will come in the December update? If so that would be so cool.

Last week I know you said you guys had trouble with strollers and someone mentioned having folded strollers when going down the stairs. I think that would be a great idea and I hope they forward that message in this chat so you can see it as well.

For multitasking what I think we all really want is being able to talk and eat at the same time or even being able to talk while sitting in the car. At least that's the main one for me. So if atleast that is added I wouldn't complain.

I really really want work on parking systems and I'm curious about the skateboarding feature and how that might look

  1. I’m sooo glad that you guys are adding more Neon Lights!! Could we also get some Vertical/Horizontal neon bar lights.. that could be used to frame windows and signs for businesses or just for interior decor? I’ll post some example pictures.

I would also love to see more sibling rivalry interactions.. (Hogging the TV or computer, sharing secrets/talking about crushes, sneaking out after curfew, fighting over clothes, playing board games together, doing their homework together or asking a parent for help, doing chores together)

Could some of the interactions be linked to specific traits? (Ex: A sweet and affectionate Zoi child, is more likely to comfort others or be pleasant to other Zoi’s, or a mean/evil child is most likely to perform mean interactions with other Zoi’s)

  1. The Christmas decors in the public areas look sooooo good!!! The new foods also look delicious!!!

  2. I agree with other community members who have stated that we need active workers behind the counters. The kiosk is fine for some business locations. But it honestly does take away from the immersion, when every single store your zoi goes to is just a “kiosk” interaction. For cozy Cafes/bakeries and sit down restaurants… there should be actual staff that cooks and hands you your order.

  4. Could we pretty please get an option to follow our Zoi’s while they are automatically driving, instead of getting a loading screen mid interaction? Manual driving is super difficult right now, and I enjoy just watching the Zoi’s drive themselves through town.

STOP 😭 The child consoling the parent interactionnnnn. THISSSSS is what I love about yall. It's simple interactions like these that just makes things so much better. Can we please get more consoling interactions as well ? That was just too cuteee. The pan slap is still hilarious, I can't wait to use that feature. I'm begging for more violent interactions like these. A minor suggestion, when you make another zoi mad, they refuse conversation to where I can't make them fight until they cool off. Can we please limit the refuse conversation interaction? I would love to smack zois with the pan without them refusing the conversation lmaooooo. Also I love the sibling hit interaction, although it's not sweet, it's very realistic. I really like that you are giving children personalities and interactions, such as the paint with an adult. It really makes them fun to play instead of wishing they'd hurry up to the next life stage. I crave family time and experiences in life simulators, and I'm so happy to see you guys implement that. I also love the giving baby medicine interaction, I have so many ideas with that. Would it be possible to animate it so there's a chance that the baby can reject the medicine or spit it up because it's nasty ? Given that there's the new medicine interaction and the exisiting check temp interaction, does that mean that babies/toddlers have a chance of getting sick ? If so, is there going to be a future sickness system in game ? Aside from the occasional allergies, cold, bronchitis from dust storm, will there be more serious illnesses ? Nothing extreme like cancer or anything, but something that probably requires a zoi to stay in the hospital for a day or something that the first aid kit can't cure. I would really love to put the hospital to use one day. Also could we have injuries ? For example, if a zoi falls, maybe they could get a scrape on their knee. OR with the new pan interaction, a nasty bruise on the face?

I definitely agree!! I would love to see more extended interactions with the hospital and different illnesses/injuries. (Including getting a “check-up”, prenatal visits, options to give birth at the hospital, overnights stays for some illnesses).. I hope they eventually add a 911/EMS system. Which would allow Zoi’s to call during an emergency and have them taken to the hospital.

When I played the Sims 4.. I used a Mod, that added a bunch of gameplay for different illnesses, Urgent Cares and the hospitals.

During one of my gameplays, my sim randomly fell while running home and developed a “sprained ankle.” She ended up walking with a limp until it healed, which was hilarious Nezuko_Laugh … so I would love to see more interactions like that added to Inzoi!!

Could there be a possibility to use the original, pre-0.30 (pre-cahaya) UI in the future as an option ?

There have been a couple update to the UI since including the one in October.
Each time it makes part of the UI bigger or change a component. The pre-Cahaya or "slim" UI as I call it, had a slim emotion bar, a smaller round portrait, small "urges" bar with a white line that grew shorter the less time you had to complete it, no Zoi bubbles over their head, and had the infamous "Cat's eye" pointer. Now many of us loved that early design, and I dare say we would still chose it if we had the chance.

Since many love the new UI and the bigger things without having to "mouse over" each component, I do not want to deprive them of it, but it would be REALLY NICE if we could have the old one as an option !

Is that something that would be possible or are you already considering it?

I also wonder if it's possible to have smaller portrait or circular one as an option, at the moment the UI is covering some of the screen. The current Urges window can be reduced by width while maintaining large icons and time to complete.

omg I think I know the mod you're talking about. Was it the healthcare redox from adeepingo ? It's my favorite mod. I would really love some hospital interactions. I'm totally with you. Prenatal check ups where we could also find out the gender of the baby would be awesome. Even the option to attend counceling when our zois are depressed. And I totally agree with the ems/emergency system. I notice that there are decor ambulance vehicles at the hospital, it would be pretty cool to see them and police cars arrive at the scene of a car accident or if a zoi experiences an injury. I would definitely love an overhaul of the healthcare system with more sicknesses, injuries, hospital stays. I forgot to mention this in my previous comment, but even an interaction where a parent can give a dose of medicine to child zois instead of the child zoi always going to the first aid kit themselves. And yessss I agree with lasting effects of an accident. Like you mentioned, temporary limping from falling. Maybe even a zoi rubbing their face after being hit with the pan until their bruise clears up. Maybe they can use holistic ways to speed up the healing process such as grabbing an ice pack for a bruise, eating soup when sick, etc. Maybe even some nurturing interactions where parents could kiss their kid's "boo boo" after falling from a bike or scraping their knee. Or even a parent taking a child/adolescent temp. The option to stay home from work and school when sick too. Ahhh the possibilities are endless. I'm totally with you on the ems system, I think that would be AWESOME.

I’m very much in favour of the Zois being able to experience the whimsicality and fragility of life, the very things that would make the Zois' daily routines more meaningful.

For example, having teenage Zois get into a brawl and end up seriously injured or even disabled, or letting them train in martial arts to eventually stand up to a school bully Zoi, would add physical changes to the Zois as well as emotional weight and narrative depth to the gameplay. These kinds of scenarios make the world feel more alive and worth exploring, while also possibly reflecting and imparting valuable life lessons.

And that’s why I’m suggesting other types of physical affection animations between a parent and their child, a forehead kiss, short hugs, long cuddles, giving a long comforting hug while a child is crying, a hug while lifting the child up, hugs with one parent and two children, just like the photos below

Hi Kijun, happy anniversary to the company! Thanks for the updates. Like what I am seeing thus far. I like more of added interactions involving the toddler. And glad the child was scolded for hitting their younger sibling, how rude....LOL!!! The winter clothes in CAZ look so warm and cozy, I hope we are getting new hairstyles as well. Excited about the multi-tasking.

  • Parent able to read bedtime story to toddler or child
  • Parent able to give child medicine if sick in bed

  • Parents playing fun games with child such as twister

I was hoping the my business feature would have customers pick up an item or have a basket (if more than one), and take it to the register to pay for, but its still the kiosk auto buy animations. 🙁 I wonder if they plan to change this later on? So its more immersive because the transaction aspect of buying anything is immersion breaking, and lacks that human essence needed when visiting lots.

Thats not to say it would fully replace the transaction system, with cashier to person. We can still have both options. But if you don't place a kiosk on the business lot it should automatically play the cashier to person animation instead.

There could even be a way to interact with a cashier and customer to greet before paying or ask how they are before paying when you click on the cash register.

I thought Kijun said that there were some surprises for the December update (I might be wrong). If so, it would be cool if it was either the police career and/or the beginning of Zois being able to have pets, even if it's just starting off with a cat or a dog.

Dear kjun, amazing update just like always! I was shook when the child hit the toddler, definitely potential for drama!! And when the child comforted the crying parent 🥹

This week, I am coming to you on behalf of family players and storytellers.

First of all, I would like to preface that strollers should be parkable and allow babies to sit in them and get their needs taken care of such as sleeping and playing and for parents to be able to feed them. This includes outdoors and public places since it's unrealistic for babies to be on the floor most of the time. This would allow the parents to take their baby and child to the park, and the baby could nap in a stroller while the mom reads a book and the child plays on the playground 🥺

Second, I have an interaction masterlist that would add a LOT of gameplay (specifically for storytellers and family players). I feel it should have a very nice mix of intercations. The ones im proposing are specifically between children, but a lot can be converted for other age groups as well.

Hi Kjun, the animations as always are next level, your animator team truly has a talent to make realistic and detailed animations, seeing the kid comforting the parent was truly moving! Thank you for pointing this out as ive been noticing the same things for a while now. I want to give the benefit of the doubt and itll be fleshed out later but idk-there is too many automatic animations and not enough progressional ones. To fit this particular world set up we have.
Cleaning is one like from: filthy, to less filthy to, clean. Right now it's just one tap and its all clean. I know others don't like cleaning but the entire loop of that animation could add be as above for different objects, and surfaces, and floors. Giving the game tiny details such as this make it unique.

I'll give one more example. If a zoi is mopping the floor the animation should make the zoi move around the entire room getting next to objects, or if its an open concept house move around the entire area for a 3-10 minutes in game. Instead of being locked to one static position.

And one last thing: not that important, but the next big update after the december one will already be inzoi's 1 year anniversary, so it'd be adorable if we got something like 1st birthday items for our toddler zois (like special hats, a special cake, present piles and some toys) to celebrate the ocassion since they'll also be turning 1.

Yes! The issue of movement is definitely something to consider. Personally, I don't mind the "cleaning states," because the most important thing is that it works and indicates the right time to clean the house.
However, the visual aspect of this would definitely be improved simply by improving Zoi's "path" while cleaning. I don't see a need for elaborate cleaning features, but I do see a need for visual consistency while I'm cleaning. Once again, as many people have already mentioned, one of Inzoi's biggest problems is still its animations.

It's part of growing up, and the most important thing is that adult characters don't do that.

Having kid siblings being little jerks to each other is very immersive. Children don't always behave like little angels and can be naughty. You can have hair pulling, pushing, toy breaking, etc.

Also, seeing children comforting not only parents but each other would be cute as well.

Yess!! And adding to this I think someone here mentioned before about adding more relationship tags which I’d love if they added!! I was thinking of an example with families to allow different types of family dynamic markers specific to specific family members. Here’s some between siblings:

  • “Jealous Sibling bond”- this sibling causes the other to compete heavily for parental affections.
  • “Healthy Boundaries bond” - siblings understand importance of sharing AND space
  • “The Nurturing/ Protective Older Sibling” bond- wants to protect their sibling from anyone or anything that tries to harm them.
  • “The Best Friend bond” - siblings develop a best friend closeness that they cherish into adulthood
  • “The Annoying Sibling bond” - these bonds are when the sibling likes to playfully tease the other sibling from time to time for fun
  • “The Competitive Sibling Rivalry bond” -the siblings compete w/ each other over EVERYTHING lol

These are just examples but these are things that develop automatically based on personality traits children are born with and will dictate autonomous behavior between siblings throughout childhood, but this can evolve overtime depending on the players input or the parent Zoi’s parental discipline involvement!

One more post from me. Something has been on my mind lately in regards of interactions and autonomy. I'm not sure if this is a bug or just not a feature implemented yet, but my Zois that are married never really interact with each other autonomously in a romantic manner. If I leave them to their own devices, they will take care of their needs and take care of the baby, but they don't really seek out each other to have a chat or to just hug it out or give each other a kiss. There are some really nice romantic animations now, especially the ones on the couch. I'd love it if those animations (like the one in the screenshot) could also become stuff Zois will do autonomously if they have a good romantic relationship with each other.

My post was about this being a natural stage of life, but I sincerely believe we shouldn't bombard anyone in the community with negative reactions for it. But features like children fighting and robberies should be turnable for some people, as some may have had bad experiences and have some kind of trauma. Developers should also take this into account. So please, developers, make it possible to disable features that might upset people, frighten them, and for people with various injuries or illnesses.

Many strollers aren’t meant to be used while going upstairs. Maybe, when the zois go near the stairs, an animation triggers where the zois can fold the stroller’s legs so it turns into a baby seat carrier, and the zois can carry the baby upstairs without ever taking the baby out to be more convenient for the player. When the zois get upstairs, the zois can unfold the stroller back to it’s original stroller form. Basically, the stroller is portable and foldable, having two version to it, kinda like a foldable table. Why did I suggest a portable folding stroller? Because some players might not want to take the baby out of the stroller every-time they go up a stair when going to places, and strollers with leg-wheels aren’t meant to be used going up normal stairs, so I suggest a foldable stroller that zois can fold the legs of the wheels of that stroller, where it become a seat carrying the baby up the stairs.

There’s many types of strollers, but here’s one Example for my suggestion

Kjun, add Inzoi’s main story’s lore gameplay with cinema cutscene as story progresses

(Unrelated but reposting) Like GTA, you can free roam or play the main story, where you actually get the LORE (the identity of the game) and there are cutscene when you do a mission or go to a place during the main story. Inzoi has cinema cutscenes when zois dies, and when Bora goes to the AR company. When I saw these cutscenes, I thought Inzoi will have a main story that you can play and see cutscenes, where you get to learn the lore of the game or discover mysteries and quests. I hope Inzoi can implement this. I feel like Inzoi is more than just a dress up game and it should be more than that. Games like infinity nikiki, wuwa, gta, ananta and more, they all have their main story. Inzoi is not the sim 2.0, Inzoi has a story so don’t forget it because it was shown when Bora was shown, and when zois used to question about the world being a stimulation… plus the cutscene?? Please expand on these lores with gameplays. Completing the main story and side quest can unlock items, prizes, or places, or inform players of the lore or story.

I had to go back and watch the video, there were sooo many details that I missed during my first watch…

But, I’m super excited for the Gingerbread house and Christmas Trees cookies kits and the ability to set the table for different types of settings/parties…

Will the jungle gym in Cahaya become playable, and will we be able to place it in other worlds?

I added a picture of how each life stage should look different. Right now, infants and toddlers look the same, and adolescents and teens look the same.
I believe to make the game feel unique and more immersive, we need distinct life stages that feel different and look different than each other. I want to be able to look at my Zoi and know exactly what life stage they are in without hovering over them.

And can we please please be able to create all life stages in CAZ??
Infants, toddlers, and adolescents need to be added to CAZ. It's strange that we can't create them when making a family.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the paint parent and child interaction. More of that, please—teaching children how to cook/bake, garden, sew (I did this with my grandma a lot), and fish. The second thing that caught my eye was the sibling bopping the baby’s head. I love that idea! But maybe the child can tap the baby’s head instead of a fist. Please continue to add parent interactions like teaching toddlers with books and flashcards or playing peek-a-boo, etc.

My childhood also consisted of pillow fights, playful wrestling, hide and seek (in the dark), tag, collecting cards (Pokemon/Yugioh), and urban legend games like “stiff as a board, light as a feather”, “Bloody Mary”, and “Baby Blue”. It will be nice to be able to recreate my childhood in Inzoi!

I don’t know when this will be implemented, but please, add more voices for our zois. Maybe it can come with accents as well (kind of like the one we hear on TV). This can give an illusion of different zois and can give more character to them. For example, if I made a zoi like Arthur Morgan from Red Dead Redemption, the current voice that we have now will kind of break that immersion for me.

As for the December update, I would love it if we had different greeting interactions like bro hugs, female zois squealing when they meet their best friends, or even secret handshakes. And as for the rumors, will it be tied to Bubbly? If bubbly makes a comeback for the December update, allowing rumors, reputation, drama, and current news of the city it will be great! For example:

“A zoi broke out of jail, be on the lookout.”
“The airplane bus broke down, and traveling to other cities may be down temporarily.”

I think the animation of the older child hitting the younger one could be changed from a fist to a palm and add a way for it to depend on the relationship, for example, jealousy, a quarrel, or the fact that more time is spent with the younger child, a different system of punishments, not being allowed to communicate with friends, play on the computer, or eat sweets

I would love the addition of quests similar to gtas stranger missions where hopefully one day inzoi can have a mini map that not only gives directions to locations but also shows NPC missions on the map you can interact with.

These can be either bad NPC or good NPCs and whoever you interact with directly relates to if your karma goes up and down.

After watching the paralives live mode one of the things that was really interesting to me was seeing the newspaper that reflected what was going on in the city. I would love if inzoi implemented that either with a newspaper popup or social media one.

Please add sibling/aunt/uncle/grandpa/grandma relationships when creating a family that way the family can have more of an extended family relationship.Please also add a heater to the pool during winter that way when it gets cold outside, water acrobatics can still continue even if it does raise the rent/utilities bill up to being more.

I would love to see this in Inzoi:

  • Neighbors/NPCS have routines: commuting, jogging, grocery shopping, couples going on dates, seeing your friends at their jobs, town events, etc.
  • Cats can follow you home if you feed them and bond with them enough.
  • Random city power outages from rain or other circumstances,
  • Final Fantasy 7 Remake (just the UI for the dialogue part and the ability to hear lore) inspires this. We can eavesdrop on other zois' conversations by clicking on the zois and choosing the option “eavesdrop.” Then, a bar of brief dialogues or their queuing log appears on the left side of the screen.
  • NPC reactions. They can react depending on your mood, what the player is wearing (they can either compliment your style or judge you depending on their preference), relationship level, and past interactions.
  • The option for simple interactions like “wave at zoi”, “greet zoi” (we could only do this once, and I think having it available always will be nice), say goodbye to zoi, apologize (if we bump into them), etc. These interactions don’t have to make our zois have a blown conversation, but just enough to acknowledge and then move on. We can continue the conversation if we choose to.
  • I know that we can just go through the door with WASD, but it will be nice if I have the option to open the door for…, move the chair for…, help down the stairs… (for elderly, toddlers, and romantic partners). Maybe this can be tied to the karma system or help build/shape our character growth, a systemic feature where the player can: Pick up objects that NPCs drop, carry groceries, tools, luggage, or boxes for them, this can trigger positive/negative reactions like gratitude, suspicion, or embarrassment, etc. Unlock tiny dialogues: “I’ve seen you come here often, but never got the chance to talk to you. Thank you for helping me.”

⦁ It'd be nice if the worlds had newspapers with purpose. There could be a list of all zois in the world who died recently (would change each month/week) and would have a date attached to it, so we could actively scroll through the list of obituaries page.
⦁ A way to opt-in or out of text messages notifications of zoi's passing away. We could instead receive calls/ or call and reach out to others about the deceased. Giving opportunity for zois grieving to ask friends if they can come over.

Traveling

  • When zois go on vacation and head to the transportation shuttle they should have luggage bags in hand to give the effect they're heading off somewhere. And will carry the luggage until they check into the hotel.
    ⦁ Having emotional buff of jet-lag when they return home from trips where they're more tired than usual for 48 in game hours.
    ⦁ When traveling to a different world the time of day should change also, because it remains the same time as the home world or when traveling across multiple worlds. If this is a possible implementation.
    ⦁ Different accents tones for different world regions to give atmospheric sense they're in a foreign world
    ⦁ Being able to learn the local languages of different worlds, there's a mod that was made for this for the Sims 4 but it was skill they had to obtain where they could eventually become fluent, otherwise they couldn't communicate with locals. But there could be language guides at gift shops for them to learn conversational skills.

Food Delivery & Running businesses

  • Being able to order pizza on the phone and a delivery driver would hand it to our zois
  • Ability to order food from restaurants that get delivered by a zoi instead of a box.
  • Will we be able to run our own food trucks and ride around the city?

Dear kjun, would be be possible to improve and expand the body sliders? The body sliders feel a little limiting at the moment (particularly the midsection), and the breast and butt sliders look boxy on the higher settings.

We need breast + butt size, sag, and distance. The butt slider should be available for both genders.

Also, calf, thigh, and arm thickness, ribcage slider, and weist slider. The hip slider also looks boxy and should be reworked.

Likewise, male bodies also need more sliders. That way, we'll be able to create even more unique zois.

Basically, I want zois to look natural on the higher slider settings, as opposed to them looking like they got implants

I just wanted to add something minor. I was wondering if you could add stretch marks to skin details under create a zoi. I love playing the sims 4 pandasama childbirth mod, and one of my favorite features is the strechmarks that sims get during and after their pregnancy. I would love a minor detail like that. On that tangent, could we please be able to go into CAZ for pregnant zois ? I understand not being able to edit their body, but I would love to be able to update their clothes for a more maternity friendly look, hair, makeup, stretch marks, etc. Attached to my post is an in game photo I took of my sim with the stretch marks that came with the pandasama childbirth mod

With the ability to run family businesses coming, I fear that zois will end up accumulating a LOT of wealth with nowhere for it to go.

In the sims 4, money was incredibly easy since there wasnt nothing for sims to buy aside from furniture. My theory is that had they had to buy groceries and clothes, the money would be gone faster.

So, my proposition is this:

First of all, once all foods have required ingredients, there should be 2 grocery stores: one regular supermarket and an expensive market. The expensive market will provide an "organic" buff to zois that eat it and maybe even lower their chances of catching sickness? The dishes could also be a level higher.

Second, remove the ability for zois to wear everything available from planning outfits while in live mode (can toggle off with a switch in settings), and instead only be able to dress up zois in clothes you bought. Cities should have at least 2 clothing stores: a department store that sells normal priced clothes, and an expensive boutique that sells clothes at insane prices. Buying these clothes could also provide a buff.

Anyways, I hope you would consider this since it would add a TON of gameplay that specifically involves money! Bonus points if each bought piece of clothing can only be worn by a single zoi at a time

I love this idea!

For the clothing option, the option to disable accessing clothes in Caz in game would be game changing!
Each category in Caz can have a price attached to it so when we choose from that category the cost totals up and the money is deducted from our household funds when we exit Caz.

Also if the only way to access Caz in game was by visiting a clothing store, that might be cool too.

To further elaborate on this:

All clothes a zoi doesn't own/have available will have a lock on them while planning outfits from the dresser at home, and each clothing they do own will have a number next to it, and every time a zoi in the family wears it, the number will go down, and when it's at 0, it'll lock and we won't be able to select it. Basically, a simple stock system. That will add a lot more immersion, realism, and challenge to the game (like trying to keep your 8 kids dressed)

I love the buying outfits to expand your wardrobe too, like in Sims 2. Definitely also make expensive designer clothes for our chaebol families to wear! You can also already buy clothes in the game now so it shouldn't be too hard to make.

The ability for our zois to "swap" food items while cooking. So for example, if a salad requires 3 vegetables, then we could choose the vegetables. However, this system could actually even improve gameplay cause let's say there's a dish that requires meat. Swapping the meat in that dish for tofu (for example) would turn the dish vegetarian. Or even a dish requires milk, but the zois only have cream, so they can just use the cream to cook. Or swapping hot peppers/gochujang with sweet peppers/tomatoe paste would turn a spicy dish non spicy. Will definitely add a whole lot more gameplay to the cooking system.

We're in early access like pre-base game I think the amount of hairstyles shouldn't be a priority right now as those can easily be expanded on later by the devs or modders. I want more hairstyles too, but I don't think that's where early access resources should be going to. Better to focus on core gameplay first.

Oh, I love so much of what's shown, except the lottery. No one plays the lottery without a chance at a jackpot prize. If a lottery ticket is nothing more than something to satisfy an urge, I'll just delete the lottery ticket booths because they're useless. The cost of a ticket is far too high if you can't even win 1000 mew.

I used to care about my zois doing good karma actions so they could eventually win some money in the lottery. You took away karma, so I can't do that. I thought I will just have them buy tickets more often, but now you make the lottery unnecessary/have no legitimate reason to exist.

The lottery was a way to get an injection of cash without cheating (when karma lottery wins were possible), but now it's a waste of the zois' time, not to mention the studio's time. Why did you put a lottery system in the game if it's really just meant to be for a free meal or two?

But I really don't want it and was disappointed to see it is being added. Scolding a violent child doesn't solve their issues, and might just encourage even more of it. I'm for realism, but not when it comes to any kind of abuse. 😭

EDIT: I read a suggestion to change the fist to open hand, but I still say hitting should be between children only. If the malicious children need to be cruel to toddlers, I think poking with a finger is sufficient because it's mean and will make a baby cry.

Yes we definitely need more ways to spend money or else having and accumulating wealth won’t really be worth it. I hope they implement more gameplay to buying clothes, add hair and nail styling services. With businesses coming into the game starting with the ones kjun mentioned in his post, I hope that opens up the possibility in the future for more kinds of businesses and careers to be added. I had an idea with nail stylist that there could be a decaying overlay after going over a week without getting your nails done, and materialistic Zoi’s would especially be impacted by this😂

I'd prefer no one do anything to the toddlers, but poking at most.

I think that slaps between child siblings or even adolescent zois, and other ways of bickering could add a lot of interest to family gameplay for sure—if there are meaningful consequences parents can enforce.

It would be nice if there could be different parenting strategies too, such as scolding or attempting to use the situation as a teaching moment. Perhaps the teaching moment succeeds and the child who started it apologizes because they understood the lesson and took it to heart, or the lesson fails and the instigator is emboldened in their negative behaviour. Likewise, scolding could cause the child to want to avoid that conflict, but not necessarily to avoid being an instigator. They might also be emboldened, and become more secretive because they see the parent in a different light after the scolding.

I know some children become much more defiant if they're scolded, while others will want to avoid repeating the experience.

It would be interesting to see different parenting styles that would be more or less effective with zois based on their trait and characteristics. Or it's all based on chance, but there are more options to guide the child zois learn as they grow.

Hitting a younger sibling isn't violent. At least not the way shown in the video. Now, if the child was hitting the toddler over and over again, that would be different. I would like to see it be an open hand instead of a fist, though. Siblings tease, hit, and yell at each other in real life. I had three younger siblings, and I have five kids. None of us were violent, but we definitely had our fair share of sibling fights growing up, and we also always had each other's backs.

This. Children do not need a psychiatrist just because they hit a sibling in a fit of temper. Scolding and punishment for sure, but the fact is that children ARE more violent than adults because they haven't learned to fully control their emotions and actions (toddlers are actually the most violent age group, but obviously they can't seriously hurt anyone because they're not strong enough). If they're doing it on a regular basis that would be different, as you say.

I understand where you are coming from. The physical teasing shown in the video is very familiar in East Asia because it resembles knuckle flicking, which is generally viewed as developmentally normal and something parents can easily correct once they notice it. You are also right that a child psychiatrist should be involved if the child repeatedly harms the sibling in an indiscriminate way or shows other concerning behaviors. Although you can technically label it as hitting, the act shown is extremely mild and it feels misleading to group it together with more painful or harmful forms of hitting. With that in mind, I think games like inZoi should try to appeal to a diverse player base with different cultural backgrounds. Using teasing behaviors that are more universally understood, such as gentle poking, light flicking on the shoulder, or taking a toy away or such out of jealousy, would avoid confusion and make the interactions more accessible for a wider audience.

I'd really like Zoi to have more spontaneous likes and dislikes, both in friendships and romantic relationships. Some people have an immediate first impression—here in Italy, we say "gut feeling"—so it's more difficult to establish a relationship.
In the latter case, they could also be based on physical characteristics—for example, a person might be more attracted to partners with hair or eyes of a certain color—or on personality traits.

It seems to me that bringing back the world sliders for negative and positive interactions would solve a lot of the problems here. That said, in practical terms, the devs can't possibly include a slider / toggle for absolutely everything players might find upsetting. Plenty of people get upset by things like car accidents, storms, vomiting (e.g. for morning sickness or food poisoning), creepy-crawlies, etc. If you want a 'cosy' game where everything is rosy and nothing bad ever happens, there are plenty like that already - I want InZoi to remain a LIFE sim which shows the darker side of life as well as the good side.

As for fights between children, which sometimes lead to physical fights, I don't think it's excessive. Anyone who has children knows that up to a certain age, it's something that happens not only between siblings, but also between schoolmates, and that needs to be addressed, but that doesn't mean the person in question is violent.
For example, I find it much more "violent" when I read that someone starved one of their unwanted Zoi to death (and I've read it more than once), but I keep quiet, because it's a game and everyone plays as they want. I place myself halfway between realism and unicorns. Maybe a little more towards unicorns 😀

I'm not sure if this was something that's already in the works, but when zois clean, they use items on surfaces that don't make sense. Such as mopping the carpet, sweeping the carpet, vacuuming tile/wood, sweeping grass, vacuuminng grass, etc.. Since we already have to choose specific surface materials, could you please add a restriction to how that material type is cleaned ? Such as vacuuming only being limited to carpet, and mopping/sweeping only being limited to wood/tile/etc, lawnmowers for grass,

I find it a hassle having to restart to a whole family every update after everything that I built. I think hitting the baby is a bit too much. For the future of Inzoi to avoid backlash, I advice to replace it with talking to the baby like scolding instead. I rather have two babies fight each other rather than someone older hitting a baby. Same goes for kids, the adults shouldn’t be able to hit kids. This is to avoid child abuse in games.

Off topic, I was watching Neuworld and I saw that zois can run away from home. I haven’t had it happen to me yet, but I wonder why we can’t put missing person’s posters up or call the missing zoi.

🍼 I see some are concerned with the child bonking the baby on the forehead. I didn't think it was too aggressive myself (wasn't a punch or anything like that). Maybe if this will bother players, we can instead have the child push the baby backward with a finger? Like a pointing gesture... would still be mean but not as "aggressive"? 🤔 I hope for autonomous actions, this will be personality based as well as not all children would do this to their baby sibling. Would also be great if there are two children in the household for one child to defend the baby against the other child if they see this action (also personality based reaction).

🌼 For the My Business feature, can we get (now or in the future) some expanded gardening options for the flower shops? It would be great to grow our own flowers and plants. Unlocking special or rare seeds as our skills increase or our business success grows would be awesome as well.

There are so many debates about child abuse, and such a simple solution might exist that I can’t help but add my two cents.

In inZOI there are settings called Control City Status (the name might already have been changed, but it’s ok for now):

• With the removal of Karma, two settings were also deleted: Conversation Karma Positivity / Negativity. But instead of removing such a gem, the cruel options should’ve been separated under the control of these sliders. Decrease Negativity – get a 0% chance of such actions + hidden in the action-menu stack (and then, with further Karma refinement, decide whether these are “karmic” actions).

• Likewise, for the police and for burglars, the City Safety setting should apply: with Very High = 0% chance, with Very Low = 200%.

• The same kind of slider should be added for Ghosts.

It feels like the answer is right on the surface, but devs often no longer mention these settings, and now even remove them, meaning they no longer tend to offer a flexibly customizable gameplay style, which raises concern about their complete disregard (?). Dear devs, please reconsider this.

As someone who has 5 siblings, fights between siblings are completely normal. Only one of my siblings didnt get bonked, and that's only because he was born in my late teens. I think the toddler interaction should be kept because it adds to realism. Did none of you see the videos of little kids hitting babies? It happens. Theyre little kids, not adults. If you want some cozy games with perfect kids, getting perfect grades and perfect families, go play paralives. From what I heard, they aren't even planning to add drama. Also, you're all equation a child knocking on a toddler's head to a WWE grand champion spin slammer move. Like 😭

Sims 4, you cant even yell at toddlers. Sims 3, you can take a candy from a toddler, but only if youre evil. Frankly, I had enough of those goofy pg interactions.

And to the person suggesting the kid needs psychiatric services for hitting a toddler: you definitely didnt grow up with siblings, or you would be suggesting it to literally every single person who had siblings of similar ages. FYI, my partner's sister left a permanent scratch scar on my partner's cheek cause mh partner was posing for a photo and she got jealous. Sucks, but completely normal. I myself have gotten a black eye from my sister when she opened the cupboard on my face

Young siblings fight all the time and they aren't old enough yet to know the force behind their actions. I think it's a bit much to call it child abuse. It's just a lil bonk on the head, not a punch in the face lol. It's realistic if anything. My sisters and I did way worse to each other as young kids, not realizing at all our actions could actually hurt the other until it was already too late.

Can we please have this life sim actually depict life instead of some sanitized version of it? I was so happy to finally see something real I'm gonna be sad if it's not gonna be added. We don't want a utopia and siblings fighting is part of life.

I have a lot of siblings but even when I was 10, I would never go and smack my baby siblings or bully a baby that can’t even defend itself because it was wrong and would be traumatizing. The only fights I had were with kids my age, so that is why I would suggest scolding, small poke, or a baby vs a baby and a kid vs a kid, not a baby vs a kid where the kid is smacking the baby or a kid vs an adult where the adult is smacking a kid. 😅

I downvote only because people speak on behalf of everyone, without trying to show empathy or consider differences in life situations and perspectives, and also by sending players from one game to others, without acknowledging inZOI’s significant need for players, which diverges from the company’s official global expansion strategy (which already implies diversity). I suggested not to remove, but to include it in the settings as Conversation Karma Negativity. That’s all.

UPD: Unlike adult violence, child abuse is excluded from games even with an 18+ rating, because it is considered high‑risk content, and regulators aim to protect against traumatic themes as well as eliminate legal risks. (UNICEF, ESRB, PEGI, USK – Germany)

Where did you see an adult smacking a kid in the video? That's not part of the game at all so that's a bit of a far jump to make. A 6/7 year old (quite gently) bonking a 2/3 year old isn't child abuse (the baby is a toddler, not an infant because it's roaming already. The toddler looking too young for its age is another problem tbh). It's bullying for sure, but plenty of siblings bully each other. And the kid got scolded by the parent, so it's not like the game is glorifying it. The same video literally shows Zois hitting another zoi with a frying pan, which can kill another person, but a small kid bonking their younger sibling is too aggressive and shouldn't be included in the game? I struggle to understand this logic.

I personally would prefer it if there were a lot more bullying options including the ones you suggested like stealing a toy and such. Because not every sibling relationship is positive like the lucky one you had.

To add to this: the animation is a bonk on the head not a hit/slap/punch, I think it's a bit much to say the child is hitting their sibling.

In the video, just because it was a bonk doesn’t mean the baby or toddler wasn’t hit? Would you allow your 10 to 15 year old smack a baby and toddler?

During wishlist, hitting kids wasn’t favored but now it is??? If the days come and people start asking for adult hitting a kid, that would be a bad idea. I’ll end this conversation here. If the suggestion in the video were to go through, then I guess we need a turn off and on option.

I think there's a difference between something that's a calculated action by a person fully aware of what they're doing and the consequence of their actions, and two small children fighting. This is just creating hyperboles to make your point but they're really not in the same ballpark. Of course it's not okay for an adolescent or teen to hit a baby or toddler. The other party in the video was a small child, not a teen.

It's kinda useless to have discussions based on different hypothetical situations that are obviously very different from what was shown in the video.

Why is it different? Adolescents and teens already have learned enough about their own strength and force to know it is bad to use physical force on another human being. You cant say the same of a small child. They still have to learn that. It's an entirely different situation. In the situation of the adolescent/teen/adult they perform their action knowingly. A small child still uses physical force out of frustration, anger or jealousy not fully aware of the consequences. That's why it's a realistic situation that can happen with any set of young siblings.

Also of course I wouldn't 'allow' it. if it happened my zoi parent would totally scold the child, exactly like in the video.

So unless you grew up in a house having to tolerate people your age 24/7, with your parent scolding you if you play with a toy your younger sibling wants, you didnt grow up with siblings and cant pretend to know what it's like to grow up with one. I also grew up with cousins and my childhood bestie that I've known since I was 3. I never hit them, but I did hit my siblings. But that's because I didnt spend 24/7 with them in close proximity. Especially on long car rides when the sibling next to you breathes too loud

I remember what I wanted to say! Please make it so zois stop trying to throw away gifts, crafted gems and objects found ocean diving. It's annoying having to lock everything up because if autonomy is on and you look away for a second they will walk over and throw the item away. At least introduce a lock mechanism that we can use to decide what items are out of reach of the zois when displayed

That's not exactly the case. I'm still playing with the families from the March save, and so far I haven't noticed any differences with the new saves I created for testing. I read that the prison doesn't work, but I can't tell you because it's a part of the game I'm not interested in.
Anyway, being able to save families is something I've asked for, too. I read that the family tree probably won't work with old saves, and that's something I don't want to give up.

I understand that you find it annoying and you’re not the only one, this game is in early access and K.jun himself also understands it can be difficult to maintain the same save file (bug free and updated) after major updates.. so for now on we have to kinda deal with the early access struggles until they have found a solution to keep old save files bug free and updated so that we don’t have to create a new one even after big updates.. it’s a bummer but maybe they will fix this soon.

Adolescents and Teens
I would like to see different ways parents can console older children versus younger children.
Parents should still be able to tuck in older kids and try to kiss their forehead, and depending on how close their relationship is or how the tween/teen is feeling they can roll over and ignore the kiss.
Parents could have serious talks with their older kids in situations of divorce, death, and illness.
Tweens/teens should be able to be rebellious based on traits and mood swings, and this could cause relationships to suffer. (Ding on ditch, sneaking out, and egging windows)
Consequences for actions: Grounding, serious talks, and lecturing.
They should be able to tease siblings: Flick nose, noogie, ruffle hair, push, take a toy away, and hold it up high out of reach of the younger sibling.
They should have more of a desire to hang out with friends at the arcade, mall, skating rink/skateboard park, bowling alley, etc.
Adolescents should be able to start having crushes, puppy dog love, and maybe a first kiss.
Teens can start dating, have their first kiss, learn to drive, and get their first job.
Objects that I feel would benefit these lifestages:
Treehouse
Bikes
Skateboards
Football
Tennis courts to play on

Not sure if it's only my game but the cafes no longer have food and I wanted my zoi to order a piece of cake. Only drinks and bread were available. If it is not just my game please add back being able to buy food in cafes. I also saw some players mention on here that certain zoi stages don't look their age and yes for me this has been a issue too! Toddlers look like big infants and just crawl like infants and for someone like me who loves playing the toddler stage I really hope that changes! Also the pre teens look too old. I want a stage that looks like 11-13 and not look like 17 or young adult. So pre teens should still look very young. And toddlers should look older. If you all were brought up with sims like me we all remember how the toddler stage was and how they could gain ability to walk and even run around and it is a really cute fun stage! I want to see zoi toddlers walk and learn to talk, even look at picture books and do so much more activity at this stage.

I'm not sure if that's already in the game, but it would be awesome if there's like a pop-up notification so you can correct sibling fighting/bullying though.

Yes… there should be a gradual increase in the Zoi’s size as they progress through their early childhood development and clear recognition of which life stage they are currently in..

The toddler and Adolescent models are in desperate need of some TLC.

The Preteen/Adolescent stage is something that has never been fully developed in any life sim game.. So, I feel that if Inzoi actually takes the time to build on this stage, it would really set the game apart from others.

Family dynamics aren’t always wrapped in pastel and unicorns. A moment like a kid bonking a baby (is very light actually, there’s much worse and if thats the case im sure more would point out) is the imperfect behavior that many families have, and it doesn’t mean anyone is endorsing harm. These small flaws are part of how children learn consequences, and how characters grow. This creates emergent stories. That’s the heart of a simulation.

An option to disable negative behaviors can be helpful for some players, but it has to be handled carefully. If every uncomfortable or realistic moment is expected to be sanitized, the game risks losing its depth and turning into something flat and consequence-free. It can be a toggle, sure. But what happens when players from different experiences pick and choose what is okay and not okay? That would need every individual toggle and not just one universal toggle

I want this so bad! The cooking system in Life By You is one of the main reasons I was sad we never got this game. I would be over the moon if inzoi added a similar cooking system. This isn’t an interpretation for legal regulation. In all cases, child abuse is considered potentially high‑risk or traumatic, and if it is implemented as an action without subsequent social critique, it should at least be hidden through a setting (any single one). Adult‑to-adult, child-to-adult isn’t necessarily subject to the same rule (adult-to-child, child-to-child). Examples of games that did not pass rating commissions: Detroit: Become Human (finally, presented abuse as sharp social critique), Heavy Rain (no visualization), The Last of Us (received 18+), State of Decay (children removed from the game to pass regulation), Bully (banned in several countries, Br etc., child‑to‑child abuse).

Settings/sliders were offered as the obvious solution, yet people still choose to impose, because of imaginary problems with the settings, which (Control City Stability) are moreover the game’s USP and were showcased long before early access. Why so?

In Sims 4 there were risks even with the burglars, and therefore the setting Allow Burglar Visits was added (and conversely Heist Havok.) It turned out there was nothing difficult about implementing settings.

I think fairies and occult should be optional dlc. Im sure there are a lot of ppl who want to escape reality and have options for different types of gameplay that are not based in reality I think most games should have that. On another note I'm hoping to see inzoi introduce a jumping feature allowing zois to jump once you hit the space. I've mentioned this a lot in previous chats but the return of the extreme apocalypse and convertible car. I also noticed a karate taekwondo area and I'm hoping that one day because functional (maybe introduce a fighting skill) this could also apply towards fighting ppl/theives etc. bc idk just bc you work out doesn't mean your able to actually fight

A light bonk or hit between siblings isn’t comparable to the heavy content in those other games. It’s normal childhood misbehavior (One person's upbringing does not apply) And the game's system shows consequences, not glorification. If it were repeated harm with no caregiver intervention, that would be different, but that’s not what’s shown here.

I wasn't saying that I was against solutions, but more like questioning how far would a domino effect go where every imperfect moment gets sanitized out of a life sim. I suspect there will be more future debates like this because Inzoi is trying to step deeper than other life sims.

This beats TS4 now I think except for getting to dress babies and babies walking everywhere or stage between baby and toddler. Since October update/really seems more like what I would expect from a TS5 base game + first 3 expansions than an early access game. I find lately even though I like TS4's latest EP adventure awaits and have played a few times, Inzoi seems ahead now in charcter interactions, freedom etc. I will probably play with Paralives too when it comes out as I like all life sims, but Inzoi is my current favorite.

I would be so interested in a new city that's more for camping and things of the like. Even if it's an add on to an existing city and you could take roadtrips down there by crossing a bridge to a different part of the city. For example blissbay Is inspired by California which is known to have all types of living arranges. You can live by the city beach and there are woods if you go uphill.

I know that developers mentioned that they're going to be working on terrain and basements next year which I'm really excited for. I hope they incorporate more bridges and hills in the towns bc I feel like that would make driving more immersive!

Anyways for the idea of a camping city or something similar, it would have a lot of trees, hills and a water fa5ll in some places! I would love to see hidden waterfalls and hiking trails for zois, deer could be around the area and even bears could show up like sharks do when you're swimming. I think that would be beautiful! Also love how we already have fishing so that's good for that.

We would just need to be able to maybe have a tent pack where we can set up tents etc! I'll also give some pictures below of what kind of look I think would be really pretty. Let me know what you guys think! 🏕️

These settings are more for the inactive zois though not for your active family. I do feel like negative interactions should only happen when the siblings have a bad relationship or the bully sibling is a troublemaker/outlaw. It should make sense for the siblings to fight. It shouldn't happen randomly. That way people who dont like these interactions can just avoid them from happening, by keeping their family happy and friendly with each other. It's super easy to make them have a good relationship anyway.

Not all of them, purely technical ones like Fire, Health, Durability, and Sanitation originally regulated how often you had fires, illnesses, breakdowns, or cleaning tasks in your home. And now we also propose regulating the chance of burglars appearing through City Safety, automatic impulses toward negative/positive interactions through Conversation Positivity/Negativity, Emotion Control and so on. Since full-city sim isn’t really the focus anymore, these settings shouldn’t be removed but rather repurposed for current requirements.

Maybe some of them would simply block the extreme forms of emotional expression, so that a person who genuinely feels anxiety about this can be reassured it won’t happen in their game, while on the other hand a thrill‑seeker can freely set a 200% chance for their, for example, Bully at school or a city drowned in crime. That’s pure fun. Everyone wins.

I feel like this shifts to another topic which is more about the general flexibility of a feature than controversy of an action. There must be a reason why the devs scratched the design despite being well received according to reddit. I'm not active on there so idk.

Here is an interesting thought. Suppose a player dislike this negative action but are okay with other negative behavior, they wouldn't know the correct parameter value to lower for the negative conversation/emotion slider (In this case, it is an interaction, so I'm not sure which category it belongs to) Is it below 90? 80? etc. Which one filters this specific action? Putting to 0 just flat out sacrifices all negative behavior unless they are going for utopia-like city, which is intended flexibility. That slider includes all negative behaviors, but what were talking about is a nuance where maybe one or few may not be viewed as acceptable. I guess for some, it may be a flawed that way. To propose this as an all solution I'm not too confident about that.

It is partially functional, all the technical sliders work. I clarified that only the options related to city simulation and karma are currently collapsed, since the design of the simulation has changed, but that actually freed them up. Everything can be done. Specific ones need to be detailed – place them separately under the slider.

Some people here have been in the game even before the official EA release and are among those officially invited to real-life official inZOI events (and they are being sent to Paralives.) I’m merely acting as a mediator, proposing one possible solution rather than breaking the usual play style, since players on Discord voted this way. The game already has 800–1,5k daily concurrent players, so let’s appreciate everyone.

Is there actually any confirmation that discord users voted out the city control sliders? If so, I had no idea. There’s also the possibility that it was simply the developers decision. If you want to push for more detailed slider options, that’s up to you, gather others who feel the same. People disagree across every platform all the time, so why would this be a special case where only discord voices are supposedly heard? I don’t get.

I’m not against the idea, but I don’t personally use them, so I’m not taking a side on whether they should stay or go. I just shared my perspective on the feature itself. Mainly that it might not address the issue the way people expect, and it could even risk over-sanitizing things.

I completely agree; we can't judge people if their opinions differ from ours. Besides, everyone has a different psyche, a different perception of the world, and a different game. The beauty of a simulator is that everyone tells their own stories in their own way, and this often comes down to privacy. The developers should ensure that all game and city settings work and are suitable for everyone, depending on the type of game, so I hope the developers will take this into account and make the settings fully functional; not all settings work right now.

I think this is impossible. They can try, but I dont think it's possible to make a game that'll perfectly suit everyone's needs. The risk with early access is always that people hop on board who later find out they dont like the direction the game is taking. Should development change their course just for those few people? I think it's good all opinions are heard, but we shouldn't expect that the devs are going to be able to please everyone on this journey. Some people will leave because choices were made they dont like, while others will join especially because of those choices. Im always for giving the player as much control as possible to create their own environment that suits them, but I think there will always be limits to what's technically possible or even comfortable to use for the player. Make the optional settings too complex and people won't know what to do anymore.

I hope these extensive feedback sessions where people are clearly split in their opinions don't cause too much stress for Kjun and his team and that they will keep ownership and make the choices they want to make. Whether it's the canvas towns, multiplayer, or animation choices.

I really like the new features, but things like theft and negative consequences can affect the city, so simply increasing or decreasing their value is a pre-requisite. I understand the concept of Early Access, so I propose that the city settings work as they did before, and I hope this will work for everyone. Then the eternal debates, at least about these things, will go away, and it will be easier for the developers to take these things into account, since those who don't want to can increase or decrease their value. We're not talking about the canvas or multiplayer; we're talking about conditionally different consequences. If someone wants to create a completely criminal world, just lower the setting. The same applies to those who want to play in utopias. These settings will simply increase or decrease what the developers intended.

This whole debate is stemming from people thinking the kid smacking their sibling is child abuse. I don't think it'll be very easy to eliminate stuff like this through the optional features you mention. Because where are you gonna draw the line? That's a subjective line. It won't be a matter of a slider. Because then there'll be an eternal debate on what should be under the criminal slider and what shouldn't. I personally thing it's incredibly weird to put a small child bonking their sibling under a crime slider. If you put that under there, then the same kid stealing their sibling's toy should be under it too. But people who oppose the bonking might want the toy stealing. So where are you gonna draw the line? It's not as simple as you imagine.

Looking at the up and downvotes in this thread i honestly believe you can count the amount of people who think this is actually child abuse and too aggressive on one hand. But if they're really loud, I am a bit concerned devs might listen and sanitize their game or make complicated sliders or settings for a very small yet very loud group of people. The risk of the community responding to these brainstorms being relatively small is that we might distort the majority view for the devs.

That's why I say I hope the devs keep heading down the course they want to head, even if knowing that not every single person responding here will be happy with it. Whether that's me, or someone else. I don't need a slider or feature or setting to eliminate every little detail I don't enjoy in this game tbh. I like the existing sliders and i hope they work again, but I don't think they're the answer to these few people who don't want the child bonking.

I never imagined that an interaction like this would disturb people so much, to the point of sparking talk of "child abuse." This isn't meant to be a judgment; I respect everyone's sensibilities. For example, I didn't like the frying pan being hit on the head, which instead thrilled the majority.
Then there's something I've been thinking for a while.

That happens. A similar discussion flared up just a day after the game’s release, which led to rushed patching. They have regulators, so it’s up to them to decide.

As for us, the entire Karma system was gradually removed over two updates along with rumors and Bubbly, perhaps, because some people were dissatisfied, even though the June patch letter gave it a lot of attention. Players probably didn’t want the game to scold them for bad karma actions, likely for being responsible for NPCs. Now part of the “karmic” actions have been brought back, but without Karma itself. The concept of Ghost Play was fundamentally redefined. The majority were against, the minority – unclear. We also had to fear that sooner or later it’d be treated this way, and here we are now.

So the essence of Early Access is that, just as pioneers were followed by those dissatisfied with the prototype and wanting to remake the game, others may later come who are dissatisfied with their decisions. And as you can see with Karma, these decisions are not always initiated by the devs. But that’s the outcome of involving players in the development process, where you share one common space, and there’s nothing you can do about it.

There's a hugging interaction when doing the Nostalgia Event, but in everyday gameplay, there is not that option. And just like you showcased here, children Zoi hugs to be extra cute! I think my only issue with the siblings hitting each other interaction is that it was between an older child and a toddler.
While that sort of interaction is incredibly normal and usually harmless between children of a similar age, it can be extremely dangerous between an older child and an infant/toddler due to the difference in physical power. After all, even shaking a baby can cause lasting brain damage.

This all being said, please keep comments on topic. We are here to share feedback, not discuss definitions... There is no need to convince others of your opinion, just share yours

As for the +12 rating, I confess that I wouldn't mind a game suitable for a slightly more mature audience, without resorting to games with explicit sexual and violent content. The +12 rating seems extremely restrictive to me. As GDfromRivendell wrote, involving the public in the development process certainly presents many positive aspects, but also some pitfalls. This is especially true for the fact that this consultation only affects a very limited number of players. I sometimes wonder if we're a truly representative sample of those who play Inzoi and have purchased it. The risk is that if they really rely on these consultations, the game will somehow be emptied of important content. I truly hope this doesn't happen.

To be fair, I'm not sure if inZOI was expected to remain in the PEGI 12/GRAC 12 (Korean equivalent) in the first place.
(oops forgot its already GRAC 15+ by the time of writing, so it's PEGI 16 at this rate) The graphics alone turn away from the wholesome teenager vibe or family-friendly feels. There are questionable moral decisions you can take but are not forced upon you, which will be considered a representation of violence or immoral behavior in a legal setting. Certain mods already makes it near 19+.

I don't like seeing a teenager or a pre-teen punch a baby or do something along those lines, especially repeatedly. Such depictions shouldn't be allowed in my opinion, but it can and has happened in seemingly normal families. inZOI is striving for realism unlike its competitors, and realism almost always includes addressing the macabre and uncomfortable reality after all. Even if it makes people not wanna play this game, I really don't care if it is added or not. I guess I have a neutral stance.

I think this would be less of an issue if there were a separate life stage for preschoolers (ages 4–6), between toddlers and pre-puberty elementary schoolers (a.k.a children). At that age, people are generally more forgiving and can empathize with the light physical teasing preschoolers do as they try to make sense of the world. They test boundaries and explore power dynamics with their younger toddler siblings, and they learn through being corrected by their parents. That said, I understand that older age groups physically teasing toddlers could easily come across as harassment and might be too uncomfortable to be included in the game.

Just because you don't like an interaction doesn't mean it needs to be removed. That's the problem, even in real life, people want to remove things they don't like or make them uncomfortable. The thing is that it's not fair to the people who do want to use the interaction in their gameplay and storytelling. I would rather come up with a solution on how to keep it: make it so the interaction isn't autonomous, or it's based on traits. A solution to a problem works better than completely removing it.

I agree , one solution that I think will solve all issues , is adding family dynamics that the player could choose between parents and siblings .

The player could choose siblings dynamics between age groups too( sweet towards toddlers siblings or mean , sweet towards children or adolescents or teens siblings or meaner ),

or also during gameplay if a new baby arrive in the family ( child being jealous , etc …) or if there have been conflict between older siblings that could change their dynamic . If they were sweet between each other at first but their dynamic changed .

For example, Those who want more a 100% positive between siblings for example , will have siblings doing only more sweet interactions .

While those who want something more in the middle , they could have sweet interactions and not sweet interactions like in the video .

And those who want mostly fights between siblings , with maybe one sweet interaction and then it start again with fights again , so
It stay mostly negative.

Like in sims, some fight options definitely only should be unlocked if you have a super negative relationship with the other zoi. I definitely encourage the devs to lock any physical alterations between siblings behind the more negative family relationship tiers. That way people who want to have their happy perfect little family dont have to deal with them.

Same should count for Zois hitting their spouses with a frying pan BTW, which is a way more outrageous act of violence than the child bonk. But funnily enough no one is falling over that one.

Maybe a way to prevent “controversy”… is to either add a preschooler age group.. or to limit those types of “physical” interactions, to only between children of the same age group… (ex: 2 toddlers poking or pushing each other.. 2 children arguing).

I think the main reason why that animation has become such a hot topic in the community, is because of physical age and size difference of the child Zoi…

The children in Inzoi appear to look around 8-10 years old. Which changes the overall purpose of the interaction into something else for some people.

In real life, those types of interactions are normal for very young children (Ex: toddlers and preschooler age groups) - because, they simply aren’t old enough to understand right from wrong yet… and they do not always know how to properly convey their emotions.

Therefore, since the children in Inzoi appear to be much older… those types of interactions between their very young siblings, would not be considered a “normal” behavior.

Now, I’m not saying an older Zoi cannot be jealous or mean to their younger sibling.. because, that’s just not real life… but there are other, more charming, non super aggressive ways of expressing that. (Ex: stealing a toy/pacifier, making silly faces, having temper tantrums when parents are more focused on the younger child)

I enjoy the fact that the Devs are adding more drama into the game… because that’s what happens in real life.

I would prefer to see this game be geared towards more adult players..

We already have The Sims franchise and soon-to-be Paralives, which are all focused towards “younger” age groups, due to their more cartoony style.

Inzoi, really needs to stand out as something different.

I feel like there's some massive double standards going on here, being all outraged over a little bonk between small children but hitting a person with a deadly weapon is fine. Domestic violence is a very serious issue as well.

To be clear I want both interactions to stay in the game. People who are this upset over such an animation should maybe search for a game with a lower age rating like Animal Crossing or something similar.

The baby was not “physically” harmed.. just startled by the child.. and I don’t believe any player in this community is advocating for hyper-realistic abuse towards children in video games..

It’s just a small interaction that does occur between kids..

I think if they're going to have these actions, it should be a rare event if Zoi is angry/annoyed and the relationship is bad as you said. To be clear I find the frying pan action great lol but I find the kids fighting also great because Ive been wanting realistic sibling gameplay in a life sim for ages now. When my sisters and I were young we'd pull pranks on each other all the time like pulling the desk chair back when the other one is about to sit down. Trying to kick each other while on the swing, pinching each other, you name it. We were both each other's best friends and worst enemies. I want true sibling interactions like that represented in a life sim. But if people are already gonna cry this much over a small innocent bonk, no way the devs are gonna dare to add any more sibling fighting into the game.

I do think it's double standards if a silly bonk is unacceptable but hitting your spouse with a deadly weapon is funny.

If you want to make a realistic life sim including adult zois doing life stuff you cant keep it to PEGI 12. I mean they're adding a court system, we have a prison. These aren't PEGI12 elements to the game. If they commit to a 16+ rating this game would have so much more freedom to add good animations. Same with romance like making out, getting frisky, all the 'teasing' actions without the 18+ stuff. I think the game's system requirements make it unlikely many young kids will play this game anyway. Most of those 1 million buyers of the game are probably more in the range of GTA than animal crossing. It'd be great if they embrace that.

Note the part at the end about "individuals in positions of power or trust over the child". A pre-teen can't be in that position because they're still a child themselves, thus physical violence between pre-teens cannot count as 'child abuse' (at least not in any jurisdiction I've ever heard of). The parents are responsible for both children so it's their job to correct that behaviour. However, an older teen hitting a younger child might count if they were left to babysit, for example.

I haven't seen this reaction outside of this discord chat, to be honest, and was quite surprised to even see people calling this child abuse and saying the game has reached "a new low". The more gameplay presets/combinations the game provides (even in reverse, as long as it doesn’t harm those who don’t want it), the more players it can potentially attract.

Regarding the use of city sliders , and settings regarding this case , I am not sure about it since I noticed people don’t always check sliders or settings without being told , some people usually seem to notice that option when someone tell them or when they find something wrong in their game , most don’t seem to check while playing a game .

That’s why I think , options integrated directly in the gameplay like the choice of different dynamics could help, but still having the city option, and the setting.

In short , combine the three options , in the gameplay through dynamic , city option , and settings

Oh my gosh yes!!!! 😍 I been wanting a city for camping too! Being able to be in a cabin and go hiking. I would LOVE to see a mountain town that you can have both summer camping AND winter snow activities! That girl hitting the baby toddler on the video does not look like a 5 year old, but 10. The amount of thumbs up to justify the behavior is honestly scary. To people who keeps saying this thread is the majority of the voice of INZOI PLAYERS, most player on INZOI isn’t using this community discord anymore or never is, so I wouldn’t say this current discord and the votes some comments receive is the voice of the actual Inzoi player base completely. Early discord, there was more people online suggesting ideas, but I feel like they all went silent after people drove them out by silencing them, or because they want to wait for full release and so they are staying away from all news. If you all look at how many numbers there is to suggestions, it’s barely over hundreds of thousand, like the amount of people who joined this discord.

It's just a no-go in games (and anywhere else) to raise your hand against children, and if it's possible, these games are rated 18+ (like Fallout, for example).
In this case, it's the player who is able to actively initiate violence against a baby, not the ingame sister.
In World of Warcraft it isn't even possible to send children into pet battles.

The majority of life simulation players play with families and asked so often for more interactions with babies, toddlers and children. They certainly hadn't a child in mind that hits a baby with the fist on its head.

This isn't a battle in some fantasy game, and no one is killing children or toddlers. It's a sibling bonking another sibling on the head. It's not an adult hitting a child. Honesty, I can't believe how far out of proportion this is being taken. Did we even watch the same video? I have siblings, and we did worse than what is shown in the video. We weren't violent by any means, but we hit, shoved, and tackled each other to the ground (I have brothers), but we also always had each other's backs when it came to others being mean to us. Siblings argue, fight, and tease each other.

To be clear, no one is justifying the actual action. Clearly, a child should not hit their younger siblings, but it happens. Just like how you shouldn’t hit people this frying pan, but having the interaction in the game doesn’t mean you’re justifying or encouraging it. So again, no one is saying it’s actually okay for a child to perform that action.

It should obviously be a negative and punishable interaction, but to claim that it’s some horrible act of abuse for a child to have a momentary lapse of judgement and act out against their sibling with a small bonk is a major over exaggeration. And the implication that children who do that are straight up abusive is even weirder. Children do stuff like that all the time, especially to their siblings, because their brains are not fully developed and they act out. It is NOT the same as a full-grown person doing it. That doesn’t mean hitting like that is okay to do, but children are learning and need to be taught boundaries. Wasn’t there mention of new ways to scold Zoi children being added to the game anyway? I’m sure that will apply to this scenario.

I think part of the issue here comes from a misunderstanding between people with different playstyles. Some players identify closely with their Zois and only want them to do things they personally would do, so for them, having their Zoi perform an action is an implicit approval of that action. Whereas other players like to set up a bunch of clashing personalities and watch the drama play out, even if it involves things they wouldn’t approve of IRL. I see this all the time in discussions of videogames, not just Inzoi.

Sure! I wouldn't mind if it was in another region like Europe or maybe even Canada. I would love seeing a mountain type map that gets all seasons of course because that way they can add the option to ski in winter and lake side camping in summer. Plus I would love seeing more Countries added and see how it is in these places. They did such a great job in my real life home (Blissbay) that it makes me want to see new places and having a nature type map is something different.

It's a bit nasty of you to force your opinion so harshly when it's quite clear you're a very tiny minority with maybe 2 or 3 others that haven't voted. Please, leave this to the mods. The brainstorm didn’t specify voting rules, and some members cannot forbid others from doing something. This is a broader issue of interpreting votes, which could be resolved through in‑game lobby voting and similar mechanisms.

As I said, you’re projecting this only onto the situation that caught your attention, but there wasn’t just one like that: when Cat‑Eye and old HUD were replaced, when Karma and rumors were removed, when Enneagram was replaced, plus they’re still fixing issues with 96 min (and those features had already been sold, not just previewed like now) – many players essentially lost their identities and key gameplay nodes. I still don’t know, maybe it was also a minority then, but it was convenient for others to make it look like a majority. Something similar almost happened with loading screens. In this context, the animation never existed in the game and couldn’t have been part of gameplay or emotional attachment.

Someone in a previous chat mentioned additions of working trains and showcased a video of it which I think would be amazing.(I hope they forward their message here so the devs can see it,)

We def need work on vehicles as parking isn't available yet and I believe parking would add so much to the game, and then eventually being able to own/ park multiple vehicles. Also idk if it's just me but NPCs don't get out of their car anymore when I run into them. I hope they add that back alongside physical car damage like broken car doors windows and you also have a repair shop for your car and working gas stations

Someone also showcased an idea for retail stores with NPCs trying on hats etc and showed pushable shopping carts for grocery stores

Yes, yes. There have been many different proposals here for realistic mechanics of buying products in stores and realistic service, which would make public places more attractive to the player, interactive, immersive, and lively:

• Purchasing groceries/goods from displays/shelves into a shopping cart – both physical (visually fills up) and UI element – with subsequent payment at the register (reference LBY)
• Trying on specific clothes before purchase – ideas included either CAZ-style UI with a branded boutique background: mix and match an outfit, add it to the shopping cart and pay, or from mannequins/racks (the outfit should be recognizable) (original concept + reference Watch Dogs 2)
• The same applies to skincare products and perfumes, beauty salons and barbershops – the mechanics are the same, but more variety is always a win (barbershop references – GTA V, RDR2)
Self‑service in a banquet hall: taking dishes onto a tray (visually fills up) from serving/banquet tables and filling your table (reference Persona 5)
Restaurant service: booking a table, seating (including the business meeting/ dating event scenarios: sitting, talking, flirting), ordering the dishes via UI (smartphone, basic in-game interface), with staff serving the ordered dishes to the table (references Ananta, Sims)

For facial expressions, please add micro expressions and eyebrow movements. This will make zois appear less stiff and uncanny. An example, when a zoi smirks, one eyebrow can raise or maybe zois can roll their eyes when annoyed.

Nightlife: Luxury nightclubs can have VIP rooms, privileges and perks that other customers won't have access to like discounts and better quality food, secret recipes, drinks, and top notch service.
Add street parties, boat parties, etc. There can even be hotspots for adults and sneaky teens. When entering the lot, mood can be altered by the vibe there.

Can we also have the option to "nap together " and "sleep together" with unique animations?

The game's convenience store could also function as a mini-market. It's a bit sad that we can only order groceries by phone when we have a huge map with functional stores, but with merely decorative baskets.

We could use these baskets,** which are already in the game**, so that our Zois could freely select items from each counter or freezer. Would love if inZOI took inspiration of the cooking system from the game Life By You. Having to go to the grocery store to buy ingredients and cooking/baking meals solely from ingredients owned (can't buy meals at the refrigerator/stove/microwave - need to have ingredients to cook) will not only add to the realism, but will add to gameplay- especially to the business system.

For example of a bakery business, instead of paying $20 to bake a strawberry cake to sell it, we need to have ALL required ingredients to bake it such as:

  • Strawberries
  • Eggs
  • Milk
  • Flour
  • Sugar
  • Butter
  • Oil

This will add challenges in running a bakery business since we have to not only have required ingredients in stock, but will also challenge our planning, budgeting and management skills. Additionally, having different qualities types of ingredients such as basic, premium and organic can affect our food quality, pricing and customers’ satisfaction ratings.

Since the game is currently in early access hopefully it won't be too much of a hassle to try to make them a bit shorter. The same thing with teens. A distinctive silhouette is important and there have been plenty of times I've mistaken teens as young adults in game.

I know with programming things can get a bit wonky with animations when you mess with heights so I hope this can be achieved.

I'd already asked to be able to change children's names, at least when they were automatically assigned by the game.
But there are several important things for those who rotate with multiple families:
being able to prevent Zoi from conceiving new children when they're not playing (I have families with 5/6 children, only two of which I wanted, and almost all of them have Korean names, I think)
receiving a notification when something really important happens to their families while they're in the game: if a Zoi gives birth, if it dies... after events like heat waves, I've had to go around to all the families to make sure they're still alive.

I completely agree. In the city controls menu there should be a section to control the chance of new births from least likely to more likely.

Speaking of unwanted births, can elderly Zois go through menopause? I've had awkward situations where an elderly married couple kept on having babies.

There should also be a town hall building or an app to be able to legally change a Zoi's name no matter what age. It can help with immersive storytelling, especially for trans* and nonbinary Zois.

That’s why, guys, I started wondering whether 80 lots would really be enough for the town in its ultimate form… Two schools alone are two massive formations, plus career buildings, residential, business lots… and so we end up with even Dowon barely being large enough to host the entire infrastructure needed for seamless gameplay, unless the devs adapt almost the whole city into playable space, which would eventually bring it closer to the structure of Canvastown.

I’d like to know whether, instead of pre‑baking building shells directly into the maps of existing cities, it would be possible to divide the entire city into lots, and then, on these lots, could the same buildings and objects (props, vegetation, fences, etc.) be placed – only now the player would be able to completely demolish them and occupy these lots independently?

Hypothetically, this would allow the strengths of Canvastown’s flexibility to be used without destroying the main cities, and without separating them as diametrically opposed spaces, but rather gradually adapting them in this way… Would it be 120 lots, or would buildings as large as several schools take up big fields and slightly reduce the number of smaller buildings?

I think the inclusion of multiplayer by the president might be because multiplayer helps prolong a stable player count for longer? Which is really much needed for this game right now because it’s an early access and player count is only dropping. Yeah, something like that, but using “bridges” and without unnecessary loading screens – the so‑called “districts”, or “district-based zoning”, or “world partition” through long transit zones/areas. While you’re moving at car/bus/train etc. speed, the district can stream in the background. I wouldn’t mention the word “loading screen” in the context of world streaming in Unreal Engine or other modern engines, unless it’s a fast jump between clusters.

The main zone could remain dormant, and as the player moves through a transit area, the next zone could load and awaken in the background. / the transition is stitched graphically so the player doesn’t notice it. / this way a bridge across the river in Dowon, and there’s your residential block. Or a drive along the beach road and there’s Hollywood or Beverly Hills. The dream of a seamless world…

It would be great if we could get a performance boost! This game is resource-intensive and especially so on macs. It would be great if it could be made to run more efficiently on the Apple silicon architecture, seeing as the Steam recommended mac specs aren't even remotely able to achieve stable >40 fps on at least high settings (on max 1440p resolution which is honestly quite sad) without stuttering.

Yes, I agree with this view. If it can be achieved through hidden loading, it is reasonable and currently the best solution. In popular games like GTA or other large-scale open-world map games, regardless of whether they are role-playing or action-adventure games, this is the most commonly used game production technique. It makes people feel comfortable and reasonable. It cannot be a solution that involves obvious loading screens, as frequently seeing the annoying loading screens would destroy the immersion and realism of the open world!

Hey Kjun, I wanted to share some suggestions for the game. I really enjoyed most of the showcases from last week, but I have to be honest: the shop system disappointed me a bit. The animation of customers arriving to buy food feels lifeless, almost soulless—kind of like what happened with the Cahaya resorts. Instead of walking into the shop and talking to an employee, the customer goes straight to a machine and makes a completely mechanical purchase. It just doesn’t feel engaging.

I really think it would be way better if customers actually interacted with an NPC employee—or even a playable worker. One employee could attend the customers, another could stay at the cash register, or one could take the payment while the other gets the product ready.

Also, when it comes to picking up items from the display counter, the ideal would be for the employee to hand the item from behind the counter. If the product is small (like a slice of cake or a dessert), it could be placed in a small bag. But if it’s something bigger, like a whole cake or a big pie, then the customer could receive it in a box. In both situations, the item should go straight into their inventory.

Please, Kjun, let employees interact with customers inside the shops instead of relying on machines. Players love real interactions. Using a machine gives the impression that the game is just reusing an old mechanic that people already didn’t like before.

I’d also love to see employees standing outside the shops doing some promotion—calling people over or handing out flyers. And it would be cool if each shop had at least two or three costume options that match the shop’s theme and type of products.

And finally, it would be awesome to have traditional Christmas dishes in the game, like roasted chicken, turkey, lobster, roasted pork leg, panettone, and some classic holiday fruits.

Moderator said if they can do that, they would have, I believe. As someone who’s been here when wishlist existed (the earliest suggestion channel), I would say, people’s opinions here changes every time. During wishlist, over 2,000 or was it 4,000, but it was a lot, people had upvote for InZoi to be more mature and targeted for adults. After wishlist was removed, I only notice people wanting the game to be pg13, because there was a whole debate and downvote against 18+

I think 18+ wouldn't fit inzoi but I do think they could go up to 16+. It's that way in Korea already anyway.

I personally think it'd be a smart decision to go for a more mature rating, because it'll put them in a different fishing pond than Paralives and (unmodded) Sims, possibly opening up a whole new can of potential customers who've been wanting a more mature life sim. But 18+ would mean gory violence and explicit sexual content and I dont think Inzoi needs that.

I’m fine with it, but since there are lots of excited players on other platforms, it’d be great if polls appear when entering the game lobby, showing results in real time (not hidden, at the same time, not necessarily limited to text fields only and to a single answer, etc.) + Discord link. I personally want the age rating to go up, but I get the downsides. A 16+ rating (mature rating for NA or EUR, but could be higher for Korea and other regions) sits in a grey zone: it gives a life sim more room for mature and realistic situations, but intimacy becomes one of the hardest areas to handle. Developers can end up stuck between being too mild or too bold, regional rating boards can push back or demand censorship, and even harmless scenes can get misinterpreted as sexualized. Cozy and family friendly streamers might avoid the game due to demonetization or age limits, and the player base can split between people wanting deeper intimacy and those who feel uncomfortable. That mix can lead to confusion and controversy. It's about what trade offs the devs are willing to make and what identity they want the game to have. I think the rating going up is unlikely though, if its not family friendly, it goes against the idea of KJun wishing to make a game that he and his son can play together.

I'm sure many do this. I created several families (because that's my way of playing) and played them before I knew that not all features would be available for old saves.
I was also hoping families could be saved for new games, but that hasn't happened yet.
I like creating my own world, but every time there's a major update, the changes to community lots disappear. For some lots, I was able to reinstall the buildings I had saved (even though the buildable areas had changed slightly and I had to make some changes), but for example, with the school exterior, it doesn't work because the school no longer works.
So I took breaks for periods or spent more time creating clothes for Canvas than playing the game.

Since the rating in Korea was raised from GRAC 12 to 15, I think the issue of “playing together with his son” has been somewhat resolved 😌 Otherwise, GRAC 15 seems to be a bit stricter than PEGI 16 (regarding gambling and local moral standards, for example, less accentuated revealing outfits or alcohol/*** consumption). That still ends up sounding like a toggle for everything, since "players can disable anything they don’t want" is such a broad idea. Player A might only want to turn off one specific interaction, while Player B wants to disable a different one. Does that mean every controversial action needs its own cheat code?

That might work? idk. but what if that can lead to spaghetti code, especially if those interactions connect to traits or personality systems. Some negative behaviors are part of natural character development, and removing too many could affect how the personalities evolve organically

I didn't react to the frying pan animation in either video. I don't care about it because I can *choose to ignore it *(which is why I didn't notice it was a woman hitting a man with it). I don't think it's funny. Likewise, the punches adults throw aren't funny, but I don't want them removed from the game. I saw a video where a player's zoi got autonomously punched by another zoi and it was a surprise to me, but it happened between adult-aged zois.

I really wonder if the frying pan is controlled by the player though, now that I think of that video I watched... It should not be autonomous, in my opinion.

Anyway, I reacted to the child hitting the toddler because of the age difference mostly, and the animation looks violent to me (obviously it doesn't to everyone).

I don't have a problem with young zois in the same age groups having conflict and even physical conflict with one another. I would prefer it to be that until young adult, only zois in the same age group can have physical conflicts with each other.

I have to say that if the physical conflict actions between children and toddlers are NOT autonomous, then I can ignore it as well. I agree with the suggestion that it should be related to the relationship between the zois, traits and characteristics of the zois, and particular situations.

Also, since couples can get counselling, I don't see any reason not to enable childhood counselling. If my school-aged child hit their toddler sibling, I would want them to be evaluated at least once by a professional. It's better to know if there's a problem than to pretend it's always normal because it's so common. It can be very abnormal, so the devs could add additional gameplay by including counselling.

Another issue raised. Suppose the game goes up to mature or even 18 plus adult. What if that means minors can just toggle off "family friendly" and play the full version? Parents would need to supervise them for the toggle to be on...but we all know that kids these days are sneaky. if the game is rated mature, it means it isn't marketed for minors in the first place, so having some kind of family toggle seems weird to begin with🤔 it's not that easy

Every single item a zoi can have in their backpack has a code to add it to our game. All properties have codes to teleport to them. We can disable a lot of things right now with cheats, including utility bills. That's funny when we can also add money with a cheat, but it's a quality-of-life thing some players obviously wanted and use.

I don't see why it would be a problem to include cheats for all kinds of things. They even have a thread for suggesting more cheats, but I think these brainstorm sessions are the main lines of communication right now.

Cheat & Management Features
Some of you asked for aging skips or age control cheats. In December, we plan to introduce systems for adjusting lifespan length and customizing the duration of each life stage, as well as features like birthday events and age skipping.
We actually use many of these cheats internally during development — but exposing them to players can sometimes cause simulation issues or break progression, which is why we’ve been cautious about releasing them. Still, we understand the demand and are carefully considering safe ways to make some of these available.

If anyone can, then they should be allowed to express without being silenced by others, even if it’s just only one person expressing. But of course, it shouldn’t be a fight. "...can sometimes cause simulation issues or break progression..." That's pretty much what I meant. I fear it's not gonna be concise, the effect may not be as expected. I want to be wary of this because I proposed a dynamic personality system with memories (Though Kjun did mention before how this Dec update will include something like that with personality driven behavior) which involves how traits or personalities can affect future behavior and consequences, memories can shape personality etc. If there's lots of holes in a behavior tree for example, I guess the progression or emergent events would be distorted not sure...all that is still speculation though.

That said, you did point out how they will consider safe ways If there are demands. If so, that would be perfect.

The whole point of inzoi is have a real life game simulator thats why I think is crucial to make the game more realistic, I understand sometimes people want the life to be more easy but thats not how thinks work, I want to have a full zoi customization at the beginning just to start but I want hair salon to change my zoi hair and hairstylist, barber shops, I want real stores to buy clothes and then put it on the car and bring that home I dont want just everything easy just click here and do it

Idk...I don't play the sims. I just looked up how the sims 2 woo-hoo in a hot tub lol and also in bed. (Not that I expect Inzoi to do that in a tub also..)That was soo cartoony and not fitting for Inzoi at all.😂 It might work for the Sims because the whole game is stylized. Inzoi looks much more realistic, so using cartoony acts or playful substitutes may feel out of place. Unreal Editor is already one of the most convenient tools for world building. Overall, if the devs provide the ability to create worlds, it’ll be the same editor as in the ModKit, but with full access to *.umap, a somewhat structured and more accessible Data Assets (since right now everything there is so hardcoded and inaccessible to modders.)

Please allow us to move remains from a burial mound. I placed the urn in the burial mound and I can't remove the remains without it being forced to be scattered and lost forever. I really wanted to plan a funeral for my Zoi's dad and can't because the urn is forever tied to the burial mound.

I have a small bit of feedback on the funeral event, as I just experienced it for the first time. I would like it if everyone sat down when a Zoi is doing a eulogy, or maybe add a similar action 'gather everyone' like with the wedding event where all family members and mourners take a seat. The eulogy could also take a bit longer. A lot of the time at the funeral is spent doing small prayers and laying down flowers, while the eulogy part is relatively small. And I kinda missed being able to have a moment where everyone is just listening to funeral music. Maybe there could be a professional piano player added to the event party that could play the piano, or just the option for everyone to sit down and listen to some recorded music, maybe with some subtle crying animations. That tends to be a big part of real life funerals after all. Last but not least I hope that in the future there'll be a picture of the dead zoi in the picture frame, it was empty now and I couldn't interact with it.

I really liked the funeral interactions that were there and I love that we can have a moment like this for our dear deceased Zois. I hope it can be improved upon so it can feel even more emotional to hold a funeral with your zois!

Same.. these were the things I had hoped would be in a “realistic life sim”: shopping (groceries and clothing), Hair salons (as an active career AND as a service for Zoi’s), Nail salons, MULTIPLE immersive careers, realistic skincare, actually stripping our Zoi’s of makeup if they shower or wash their faces they should have to reapply it with objects and an added animation… I really hope they continue to improve the realistic and immersive aspects of this game‼️ the thing is they’ve added many things but didn’t pay enough attention to the immersion of it

MORE NAME CHOICES IN CAZ

This is just a small personal request not sure if anyone else has thought about it and if itd be beneficial.

But an ability to add a middle name for zois including a nickname

Where you can assign which name (first, middle,nickname) they rather be introduced as by clicking on this toggle in CAZ, and then once your zoi gets to know others better, they can reveal their first name or full name. But, if they dont other zois will only be known as the name they assigned to be called.

It would add more ways to unlock a zois biography further and add to conversations once ai conversations are fully implemented. I think it could also be beneficial if they become a criminal and hide their identity (dreaming here 😅)

THIS! Many people see issues with the rating and think people want sexual content in the game like 😭 no, but the rating does limit mature themes which is not limited to just sexual content. Personally, I would prefer to see options for various things like depression, violence, murder, more crime, addiction, moral dilemmas, etc. These things would make the gameplay feel so much more cinematic and real, like a movie.

I couldn't agree more with what you said! I too feel we should have more realistic game play. Salons, barber shops, clothes shops and grocery stores too! I get how some want easy game play and that should still be a option, but there's players like us who want the option to get in their car and go out and buy things in actual stores and go to a salon. In real life I go buy my stuff and I want to do the same in Inzoi because to me that's the whole point of having realistic game play. I want to actually go buy clothes and things at a shop and buy groceries at a grocery store like you can in real life. Imagine being able to go as a family in a car and go shopping and put bags in the car to take home. That's the kind of life simulation game play we want to see! It's just not as fun and realistic doing everything the easy way and having no other options.

Hi as the game is developing I have found that the game is missing more inclusivity when it comes to the disabled community... I am in a wheelchair and would not mind have a Zoi in a wheelchair rolling around or an ambutee or crutches, can't forget about walkers and canes for the elderly, and medical cast for the clumsy Zoi... I love what InZoi is becoming and cannot wait to see what the future holds... Hopefully more inclusivity!

AI Building Mode with Floor Plan Upload (with clear floor slots)

In addition to text prompts, it would be incredibly useful if players could upload actual building floor plans as images.

A slot/tile system could be added where each floor has its own upload option, for example:
• Site Plan / Overview
• Ground Floor (GF)
• 1st Floor
• 2nd Floor
• 3rd Floor
• 4th Floor
• 5th Floor
• + more floors if needed

The AI would analyze these plans and automatically generate the house based on the uploaded layouts.
This would make it possible to recreate real architecture, hand-drawn designs, or CAD layouts directly in the game.

psycat_cahaya Today, we recorded the coldest temperature of the year at –10°C. Since I usually walk about an hour and a half to get to the office, it was truly freezing. The photos I occasionally share are snapshots I take along my walking route.
Just like last week, the development video I posted received a lot of feedback again. Many comments were specifically about the features and content planned for the December update, and there were plenty of interesting opinions.🥶

Family Interactions
The newly added family interaction animations received a lot of praise, especially scenes like a child comforting a parent or siblings arguing—which many felt were very realistic.
However, there was divided feedback about a scene where an older child hits their younger sibling. Some felt it reflected real family dynamics, while others were concerned it might be too violent. Thankfully, others understood that it wasn’t meant to be simple violence, especially since the game also includes scenes where parents scold their children.
inZOI aims to portray many aspects of life—both the bright and the dark. That said, the development team is very aware of the concerns about excessive violence and will make decisions carefully.
There were many suggestions for additional interactions between children, such as refusing meals, fighting over computer use, pranks, revealing secrets, helping each other, playing hide-and-seek, and more.
We also received many requests for clearer differentiation between infant and child stages, as well as more detailed appearances. There were also requests for infants learning to walk, and for more outfits and accessories. We are already working on new clothes and accessories and will continue improving these areas.
The stroller feedback also came up again this week. Handling strollers is still extremely difficult—stairs, collision issues, and many other problems keep appearing. Fixing everything one by one makes us worried that we may not be able to deliver this feature by the end of the year. I’m really sorry about this.🙏

Business System
The “My Business” feature is currently in development, allowing players to run their own stores—managing employees, setting wages, automating workflow, and running franchises.
However, many pointed out that using kiosks for automated purchases reduces immersion. Since this feedback keeps coming in, we will begin improving this system in December. For now, we may temporarily keep both methods to help organize our data.
I'm also curious—kiosks are very common in Korean stores these days, but what about other countries? ^^;
Many of you requested more realistic business elements: interactions between staff and customers, picking up items and bringing them to the counter, store promotion, and so on. Store promotion will be added as a personal interaction as well as a one-day advertising option through computers.
There were also requests for realistic shopping: using baskets or carts, placing items into them, and checking out at the register. People also suggested food delivery, different types of clothing stores, grocery stores, and more.

Life Stages & Appearance
Feedback about age groups was extremely common this week. Many players want clearly defined differences between infants, children, preteens, teens, and young adults.
The lack of distinction between infants and children, and between preteens and teenagers, has been pointed out repeatedly. Our team will revisit this issue and discuss how to refine these differences more clearly.

Other Repeated Feedback
Animation and facial expressions:
There were many requests for improvements such as micro-expressions, finer eyebrow movement, and more natural emotional reactions. Next year, we plan to review the entire game again to refine these details. I can’t believe 2025 is just around the corner.
Auto-driving camera tracking, eye contact behavior, animals, hospital expansion, skateboards, parking systems:
Many ideas were shared. We’ve already finished discussions on auto-driving camera tracking and parking, so we’ll push forward with those soon.
Save file compatibility:
Issues continue to arise when uploading unstable builds, causing save files to break. I sincerely apologize and will be more careful going forward.
Cooking system improvements, ingredient purchasing & combination, shopping, beauty salons, and other life-system ideas were also suggested.
Every week, I stay up late reading your fun and thoughtful comments without realizing how much time has passed. I'm currently preparing our plans for next year, and I hope to share our 2025 roadmap with you soon.
According to the weather forecast, it will snow tomorrow in Korea. Maybe that explains why the office is so cold tonight. I should wrap this up and head home.

So while yes in Korea many businesses like cafes and restaurants have kiosks and stuff, in the US, there is still a lot of cashiers and usage of cash registers. Some places do have kiosks, but a lot of places in the US still uses a more traditional payment system with a cashier or waiting for the check at your table and then giving the waitress/waiter your money to pay for the bill.

I actually was shocked (pleasantly) when I moved to Korea seeing how automated things were with the kiosks

Dear Mr Kjun and the InZOI Team -How about travelling between cities? Please enable travelling to cities within save games in coming updates or enable them during hot fixes. Please allow families and Zois to be saved within one same gallery ( like those premade families in the Manage City page) and not save by per city so that families and Zoi ( once moved out by player are able to travel within save games cities or moved to save game cities - for example from Dowon to Bliss Bay in player's save game to meet other families and Zois in player's Bliss Bay map and not default maps of cities as what is currently happening in game right now. Here in the Netherlands we only use them for fast food restaurants like McDonald's. In cafés, lunchrooms, restaurants we don't use them and you either order at the counter or bar with a real person or you get served at your table. Dining out in Korea is very common because it's often cheaper than cooking at home. The experience is therefore much more efficient and streamlined, because no one wants to have a full on dining out experience every single day. I did like the convenience of kiosk ordering when I lived in Korea. But here in Europe we mostly cook at home, and going out for dinner is not just for eating food but it's a social event that fills up your whole evening. Being served at your table is part of that experience. In the US, waiting staff is an important part of dining and they actually get paid in tips based on how well they serve the customer.

We do have self check out for shopping like groceries and drugstores and such.

Maybe a place like Café Mar could be designed like Paris Baguette, where you self-gather your own food from the bread display and then pay at the counter and any coffee you order at the counter is brought to your table when it's ready.

You could then even eat without paying and get in trouble 😉

Regarding the upcoming December update:

✨ I read your weekly development notes and feedback with great excitement.
I have mentioned this many times before, and I want to repeat it again:
“Having different hairstyles and makeup for each outfit category is extremely important and should be a high-priority feature.”
For example, when my Zoi changes into pajamas to sleep, she still has full makeup on.
And the makeup for “formal”, “everyday”, and “sportswear” outfits all looks the same.
This looks strange and unrealistic.
We want this to be fixed in the December update.

✨ Another important topic is “the pregnancy system needs improvement.”
This includes belly size progression, animations, and overall visual details.

✨ And finally, regarding the open-world visual loading issue:
Please “remove or improve the current distance-culling system (pop-in / pop-out issue) that hides Zois and vehicles at long distances.”
This greatly breaks immersion.

I'm very happy that greater differentiation between age groups is being considered. I have pre-teen and teenager children in more than one family, and I really struggle to distinguish them. While the gap between children and pre-teens is too marked, it doesn't reflect reality. Adults seem too old.

Regarding kiosks, they're still very rare in Italy. They're present in the food courts of some supermarkets and airports, but absent from all other restaurants and bars. The same is true in the Southern European countries I've visited. Restaurants all have table service, unless they're self-service, but they're considered low-quality.

As someone has already mentioned, I continue to ask for the possibility of traveling between cities and saving families so they're available for new matches.

Hi kjun!!!☺️ I’m happy to hear the team is already working on clothes and accessories for infants! So a quick suggestion for that, I think it would be nice if babies could get pacifiers, teething rings, baby rattles. I do hope eventually the baby bath and changing table are made functional as well. As far as the strollers go, they don’t need to go up or down stairs, no one uses strollers on stairs lol so you don’t even need to worry about that part.
For businesses I live in the U.S. and we do have kiosks but only in certain places, big restaurants usually don’t have them ( at least in my experience) it’s usually small cafes or shops that have them and that’s still only a handful and only certain grocery places have self checkout. For the most part people still have to go to a cashier so I think adding that in would add realism along with having waiters for restaurants.

Speaking of cafes I would LOVE to have a boba tea shop we could open up. It could also have common Korea snack foods too like mochi, dango, the peeling candy, yakgwa and various other popular snacks🙏🏼🥹🥹.
Another quick suggestion i have is having pantry’s added into build mode so we could actually store snacks like chips, candy, cookies, canned food and cooking ingredients like spices, flour, sugar etc.
I would love to see a food delivery job added too, it could be available for teens and up.
Since you mentioned skateboarding again I wanted to know if that was something we’ll see in the update? Or possibly roller skating?

As other people have pointed out, automated kiosks in stores/restaurants are less common in the West (though they do exist, mostly in fast-food places). Even if you order at a kiosk you'll generally collect your order from an employee. However, there's nothing wrong with having the option for both - more options are always good IMO.

As far as business systems, here in the USA we use shopping carts for large grocery/retail purchases and the yellow handbaskets in the game for smaller purchases, and also using hands for even smaller purchases or single items we take to the counter to oay for. Although we do have self-checkout here, we also have cashiers and customer interactions too which are still valued in our shopping experiences, especially if you become a regular, that a employee comes to know 😊 which I would love to see in Inzoi.

I would love to have both options be available for businesses transactions depending on which item is placed on the lot, self-checkout kiosk and zoi cash register. If only one is placed, it will default to human to human interaction or kiosk purchases, whereas if both are placed on the lot both could also be used for customers to buy items. I think if both options are given while running a business there could be a business perks given amongst some shoppers who like the short wait times due to a kiosk. But a negative perk of having issues with the kiosk if no one is around to help could hurt the business, giving negative shopping experiences.

I would love to see shopping carts used for items over 20, hand baskets for items less than 15, and zois carrying items to counter for items less than 5 (if these animations are possible)

I also appreciatr there will be both light and dark moments in Inzoi, while light gameplay is good the dark elements (doesnt always mean over the top) also give it much needed depth that I feel lacks or its made in a goofy way, in other similar genres played, that breaks the immersion. Keeping and adding in realism is what I look forward to see more of here! 😀

I am so happy to see that you are striving towards realism whilst still maintaining that whimsical aspects that make inZOI stand out. I am just as happy to see that you are acknowledging our individual inputs as always and being aware of the disagreement regarding the children quarrel animations. Don't worry about releasing the updates immediately, take your time! I am not disappointed at all and I am super grateful to see it's being worked on and improved in the first place.

Also, regarding kiosks, from my ancestral homeland they actually aren't that common, they still rely on workers manning individual registers/checkouts. I personally don't mind kiosks remaining but I'd definitely push for further customer-employee interactions with that update.

Hi Kjun,
I am happy to see that you're considering height differences for toddlers and adolescents because this is one of my biggest gripes with the age groups. I was also interested in the fact that you're adding clothes and things for the younger Zoi's as well. (Please add a bunch of clothes and hair for kids too)
I would like to add that I hope you're adding all lifestages to CAZ in the future so we can make all lifespans from the get go.
I would like to see an overhaul on pregnancy. Zoi's would need to go to the hospital for check ups, get ultrasounds, baby showers, finding out the gender if the player wants to know, and having multiples.
I would like to see Zoi's purchase things either at the kiosk or the counter and a worker hand them what they bought instead of it just appearing or in a grocery store your Zoi gets what they need and they bring it up to the counter to check out.
I really like the direction the game is going and you guys are doing an amazing job!!

Aww kind of bummed if they’re not able to include strollers by December but I hope they can add other additions to family gameplay in the future like:

  • Kids having chores around the house: wash the dishes, laundry, or even adding the ability to iron clothes
  • Setting up play dates: moms come together with their toddlers/ kids at the park or at their houses so that toddlers or kids from different households have an opportunity to easily build relationships outside of family- Stuff like this could build a cute storyline!☺️
  • More discipline styles like soft parenting raising spoiled brats, strict parenting creating rebellious teens, or a moderate parenting creating well balanced children-
  • Grounding, taking away phones, making curfews earlier for a teen, teens sneaking out, maybe being brought back in the back of a cop car-
  • So too much discipline or no discipline at all would result in the “Strict” or “Soft” parenting style while a fair balance of discipline only when needed would create the “Well Balanced Parent” style title
  • Sibling dynamics: 6 types:
    Negative:
  • “The Annoying Sibling” - likes to playfully tease sibling
  • “The Jealous Sibling” -one sibling jealous of parents affection to the other
  • “Competitive Rivalry” b/w both siblings
    Positive:
  • “The Nurturing/ Protective Sibling”
  • “The Best Friend Closeness” sibling dynamic
  • “The Healthy Boundaries” sibling dynamic (understands when to share and when to give space)

I think something to consider down the line in the future is having DLC that really focuses on different types of restaurants such as fine dining, buffets, hotpot, Korean style barbeque, Brazilian style steakhouse, hibachi, dirty spoon diner, cafeteria/food hall, conveyer belt sushi, to experimental dining. Each one brings its own experience from the ambiance to the uniforms the staff wears. There still can be restaurants that would use a kiosk but also different places that you are seated by a host/hostess and wait staff takes your order and brings your food.

At the restaurant there can be cute interactions such as couples flirting by feeding each other food or a Zoi proposing at the table.

  1. I definitely agree with the community regarding the over use of Kiosks in Inzoi.. It’s fine to keep both systems in place. However, we definitely need some real interactions with the NPC Staff, so the game feels more “alive” and realistic to players all over the world.

    • Accessing a machine for every interaction (with the same exact animations during each use) contributes to the reason so many people state that Inzoi is “lifeless”. It’s way too repetitive and restrictive.
  2. Please allow us to easily switch between worlds within the same save file… this would allow players to have access to more lots for building, the ability to create more Zoi’s and freely communicate with Zoi’s who live in other cities

  3. I would definitely love to see some of the decorative restaurants around the cities become fully functional.

  4. I am sooo happy that you guys plan to continue to add more dramatic/realistic interactions. That’s why I believe fine tuning the physical and behavioral characteristics of each age group should be up high on the priority list.

Thank you so much for the wonderful news, Kjun! I'm incredibly excited for next year's content roadmap. I hope it will bring us closer to a stronger foundation in family, home life, and the development of characters as individuals and careers. Regarding business, I hope we'll be able to build lots ourselves and assign them to owners other than just our characters, so there will be more lots in the city. I love management and hope the business system will be flexible and customizable because it's a long-term mechanic. As for NPCs, I miss waiters and bartenders. In restaurant kitchens, if there's an open kitchen, you can see how your order is being prepared; it's brought to you, not just appearing out of thin air. Regarding delivery, I think we should have not only instant delivery, but also delivery with NPCs, where the courier might be delayed, bring the wrong order, get stuck in traffic, or blatantly ask for tips. I'm looking forward to Friday, thanks again

I do hope hide and seek and more play activities interactions get added between kids and also I hope hugging gets added between kids and between kids and parents, as well as bedtime stories, tucking in bed, playing together with toys, etc. I hope we also get a dollhouse added to interactable toys. Animals next year? does this mean pets will arrive? 😍 I am beyond glad some clothing and more for infants is being worked on.. I feel infants, toddlers and kids need more attention. Your dollhouse idea is excellent. I believe more traditionally "feminine" toys need to be added. This includes dollhouses, dolls (fashion dolls, baby dolls, rag dolls, animal dolls, ball jointed dolls), play makeup vanities, and dress up trunks.

One thing I was always jealous of as a little girl were the kids that had play houses and power wheels cars.

To bring out some fascinating gameplay elements, toddlers could interact with some of these objects. For example, a toddler using their sisters play makeup vanity and scribbling all over their face or they chew on a doll's foot. Also, there should be a small chance a child or toddler could break a toy by accident. For meaner child Zois, they should be able to break toys (and some household items) on purpose.

Some of these toys could be crafted at the crafting table or 3D printer and sold in a Zoi's business. Depending on the quality it could bring up the value.

Yeah I feel we need more feminine toys. Dolls, dollhouses, baby dolls and I love your vanity suggestion because kids play dress up. Toy trunks too! More toys kids can interact with. Toddlers can use these things too like maybe chew the dolls or as you mentioned using a makeup vanity to scribble on their face. Playing dolls as a child build up my imagination and my fav was dollhouses because a child can tell unique stories playing with dollhouses. I would love seeing children in Inzoi doing the same.

Complaints about violent content in InZoi (i.e. sibling fights) miss the bigger picture. Removing the more serious or challenging parts of life from a life-simulation game isn’t necessary, and it can actually weaken the experience. Mature themes aren’t harmful by default—they’re part of the real world, and acting like they shouldn’t exist in a life sim makes the game feel unrealistic. When players pressure developers to sanitize everything until it’s soft, cute, and totally risk-free, they’re basically asking for another version of games we already have. And there are already plenty of cozy, wholesome alternatives like The Sims 4, Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, Dreamlight Valley, and My Time at Sandrock.

At the same time, the demand for more adult-oriented realism is extremely clear. In The Sims 4 community, the most downloaded and talked-about mods are centered around nsfw, complex, and realistic life scenarios, and their popularity shows exactly what a huge portion of players want. Ignoring that interest doesn’t make the community safer or happier; it just pushes adult players away and reduces long-term engagement. People who prefer purely wholesome gameplay already have endless options. But asking developers to remove optional mature content from the one game trying to fill that gap only limits the genre and disappoints the players who’ve been waiting years for a more grown-up life sim. Making them optional could also work to satisfy both preferences.

Strollers:
I think you and the team should take your time with the strollers feature. If you feel it's not ready yet and needs more work, I'm completely okay with waiting for it, as much as I wish I could have it right away 😆 I'm sure a lot of people, including me, wouldn't mind the strollers being added in an incomplete, but moderately functional state. But, I'd be concerned about how that would reflect amongst players who are not active in the Discord to see context about your communication on it's development, since strollers are a highly anticipated and requested feature in life simulators. So please, take the time you need and do not feel the need to rush it!

🍼 Reiterating some Infant & Toddler-related ideas I had that would enhance gameplay, since I suggested it too late before:

  • Let Zois be able to pass infant/toddlers to another Zoi, rather than have to put the baby down on the ground for the other Zoi to pick back up

  • (Pic 1-2) Add Babywear carriers and allow Zoi to be able to do certain activities while wearing their baby, since their arms will be free

  • (Pic 3) Add Infant/Toddler Pool Float Seats that will allow them to safely sit in the pool with the rest of the family, and add Arm Floaties for kids

  • (Pic 4) Add options to hold babies/toddlers in Different Positions! I would especially love to see the "Hello Hold," a favorite of curious little ones who want to see the world lol

  • Allow Zois to hold and interact with babies/toddlers while sitting or rocking in chairs (fingers crossed for rocking chairs 🤞)

  • Increase the Speed of Toddler Crawling, please. They crawl incredibly slow, which becomes a nuisance when they have to crawl to an open area to be picked up.

More Creepy Elements to Add to Inzoi

  • this is not just related to ghost play but could also be cool if it was ,but more whispering like what's done when that certain tv station is on. But it'd be random whispers from ghosts not relevant to the tv. Imagine hearing that while the in-game world is night time and everyone is sleep, and you're playing in direct control mode ❤️

Continuing my list of suggestions to make crime and the legal system more fun

Player character break ins - The ability to break into a house yourself, much like the burglers and try to steal stuff. Things I'd like to see involve crime interacting with the world a bit more. The shoplifting is great, but it feels like a very isolated thing. And restricts you to very certain targets.

More assaults and fight interactions - this one's simple, but I would like options that add more severity. I do quite enjoy the idea of the frying pan, but further expansion would add flavor. I find the frying pan delightfully goofy.

Embezzlement - mayber harder to implement, but illicitly obtaining money from your job.

Shoplifting from more than just the boxes - Actual interactive shoplifting, something as simple as just walking out in the clothes you are trying on.

Manslaughter and murder - Our evil zois are still missing the final major crime. However, something I saw Kjun say early in development is a sentiment I absolutely echo... I don't want this to feel too GTA, not just walking up to someone with a gun and killing them. Some unique devious options, like poisoning, and... well... inzoi can be goofy sometimes... sabotaging an electronic in someone's house to zap them? Just be creative with it.

More interactive scams - These can not only blend into a legal system but add more inter-zoi drama. Sell someone a fake TV at more than full price? Promise returns on money via a phone scam? sky is the limit there.

Malpractice in careers - Thought of for any future medical careers and the police career. Leaving patients without care? Arresting innocent zois on next to no evidence? Make the consequences more than a few job points. You'd have to take care not to make this too harsh to account for genuine player mistakes, but could make for an interesting RP dynamic.

We need more hair options male/female/children ZOIs. It’s great that the devs have clarified their position, that’s honest towards everyone and eliminates unnecessary speculation and assumptions. This gives an understanding of what type of content is preferable to them, what might be reconsidered, and I believe they’ve assessed the legal matters before giving their answer.

-# I get and feel for the people who were waiting for another answer, but it’s good that the devs’ vision was made clear before the midpoint of Early Access.

I’ll keep my word and purchase the game a second time (digital deluxe, gift etc.) if the devs preserve the USP (maintain the open world, refine karma-like system and consequences / city-wide in‑game social, drama, gossips and rumors), fulfill the last item from the first (outdated I know) roadmap, the Memory system, create a unique dynamic and engaging personality system (innate/acquired traits, branching, progressive value-based and trait-based bonuses/penalties etc.), and tie all this together into cohesive, deep systems that are not typical of a dollhouse, as @alpine vigil wrote.

There are already Themed Studio lots in Dowon and Bliss Bay. It would be nice if there was a professional photographer active or freelance career. You're correct that there needs to be more pose options for couple and family photos. Plus, the ability for the photos that Zois take in game either from their phone or camera can be framed and hung up or posted on in game social media.

Does anyone remember going to Sears, JCPENNEY, Macy's photo studios to get portraits done? It would also be cute to have school photos as well.

Quick thought here, but if stairs are an issue with strollers, have you thought of revamping the cities’ town areas to have ramps/accessibility ramps? That way, Zois pushing strollers or any other items that need to roll can use those pathing routes instead 🙂 That would also work well for vehicles like scooters, roller skates/rollerblades, and bikes too, or if you were to add wheelchairs or other mobility items in the future.

I don’t think people will be pushing strollers around in residential houses much, so strollers movement on stairs in those builds can be restricted, but the town areas will have ease of access.

Thanks for the update. I'm disappointed in the strollers not possibly being ready for the December update but I understand and I know your team wants to make sure it's done right. So I'll gladly wait. I still hope you plan to add the auto-lights feature in the December update to where the lights automatically turn on/off without needing the Zois to complete that action in the que. I hope the multi-tasking is coming along and there haven't been any issues. I think both kiosks and interactions with employees in the community lots would be beneficial. In the United States, we have both, alot of people like the kiosk features but others still like interacting with actual people, so having both as options would be great. Also, for the kiosks or menus, could you add a feature where we could customize the menus or items to add to the kiosks? The restaurant and cafes in 3 of the worlds so far seem to have the same items and I would like more variety of foods, even if you added some of the recipes already in the game (the recipes that become unlocked as the cooking skills increase) to the restaurant menus or cafes for the time being, that would be great. Also, I noticed for the food vendors stalls in Cahaya when the Zois purchase food, they stand in front of the vendor stall and eat their food which causes other Zois to have to wait to purchase food. I hope you can change that to where they can order and sit down. Also, I hope you can allow Zois to be able to surf in the water in Cahaya. At the moment they can only practice on the beach with the surfboard. I also hope you improve the dancing sequences to where the music matches the type of dance they are doing as sometimes their style of dance doesn't match the current music being played, as well as incorporate slow dancing (would that involve multitasking?) I still would like to see alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks (wines, cocktails, wine coolers, spritzers) added the bars and lounges

Good morning !! I'm super sad about the delay of the strollers, I was looking forward to it the most. I really respect that you aren't comfortable with releasing them prematurely. However, please I'm totally okay with you releasing it in December even though you haven't gotten them to go up and down the stairs yet. I'm totally okay with them not being able to go up and down the stairs at the moment, I'm fine with them being refined in future updates. I just want strollers so bad. Please consider this. I really would like them in the december update. What if when they are going down the stairs, the stroller converts into a carrier and when they reach the bottom step, it reverts back into a stroller. It doesn't have to be perfect at the moment, but I'm please begging you to reconsider.

I love the carrier idea. I was hoping we could get some baby carriers that Zois can hold and carry around anyway, but the separate thought of having the stroller temporarily convert to a carrier on stairs would solve this problem nicely.

I still hope they will add ramps though. Ramps around the cities would solve and prevent a lot of potential issues in the long run, especially if they will add more small modes of transportation.

By doing that, they could just update the routing so zoi's with strollers would automatically walk down the ramp with the stroller instead of trying to use the stairs. The mobility ramp is a groundbreaking idea! I have a feeling that once the Inzoi team cracks the code for strollers it can definitely open the door for all sorts of things such as toddler wagons, mobility scooters for the elderly and wheelchairs like what @gusty mesa said. Not only mobility aids, but ramps can be used by kids playing with babydoll strollers or other push strollers.

Another idea would be to have both accessibility ramps and convertible strollers when a ramp is not available.

I completely understand your idea, and it would be amazing to be able to fully customize everything like in Canvastown.

However, technically, this isn’t possible in the current main city:

Kjun explained that the construction area would need to be separated into a Canvas Town, rather than trying to make the entire main city editable.

If we tried to divide Dowon into 120 playable lots, the game would have to load an enormous amount of buildings, decorations, and NPCs, which would slow down the game or even cause bugs.

The current engine isn’t designed to handle the entire city being fully editable, so even with many lots, it would remain unfeasible.

Moreover, Kjun wants the game to be playable for everyone, including players with smaller or less powerful PCs, so the system has to work on lower-end machines as well.

In summary: for technical reasons, the only realistic solution is to create a separate Canvas Town where players can build freely, rather than trying to transform the entire main city.

Interesting points, no doubt. It’s presented a bit like insider info though, since in open access it’s still almost the very first iteration, an early test stage, and Kjun’s wording is so vague that it’s essentially more about searching for solutions together with the players.

In our tests, even with around 80 lots, the town ran more efficiently than the main city. (80 lots is pretty solid, and still less demanding than the pre-baked buildings - I figured out why.)
The most frequent feedback was that the town felt too small. / …we’ll keep testing larger areas to see how far we can push performance. (there’s no data on the engine’s potential limits, not even from the devs, UE wasn’t originally designed even for life sims, it’s only in the devs’ hands that it is turning into a suitable tool, which also dispels assumptions about its design.)
Time goes on, and in Dowon we already have around 60 playable/editable lots! I was surprised. I really really hope Inzoi will get the option to build on any useable lot and I don't mean just building residential lots. I mean actually having the option to choose a lot type like park, bar, club, restaurant, theater, shop, hotel, pools, library, gym, etc. I'm not a good builder, but I love to build my own venues. I want to see Zois visit my creations open to the public in my map. The whole point is creating lot venues the way I want and I had countless hours of fun doing this for years playing sims. I am kinda sad I cannot do this in Inzoi cause sometimes I just want to build.

Calliou hits his little siter Rosie on Calliou...come on. If the child is appropriately discilpined for bopping the toddler and toddler is not severely issued, no worse than what would be on Disney Jr. I don't want to see GTA style content (and if it comes int he game I hope an option to filter off), but am fine with the lifestyles of normal (non-felony committing) citizens. I am indifferent to the toweld in the tubs etc as I don't see how zois without clothing add anything to the story/game...kinda tmi for me, not upsetting/just tmi.

I understand the push back on this. The toddlers look the infants sitting up on the floor. It seems like the sibling is attacking a lil baby. I am hoping the toddlers get a make over soon.

I hope one day we can change toddler hair, outfits, teach them to talk and walk, have them sleep in a bed, etc. The toddlers that we have right now seem more like older babies under 18 months old and the little ones in the crib feel like infants as they don't do much.

Same thing with preteens and teens. They look the same as adults. I know the team addressed this so it's a matter of time until we see it improved.

I'm also going to add that ik inzoi is working on adding the in game mod section to Mac and I'm also wondering if in game mod section for the PS5 is going to be worked on too?

It would be AMAZING if there was an in game mod section for PS5 considering that most consoles don't have access to download mods in general.

Ik PS5 inzoi isn't out yet but if the mod section could be there once it finally comes out that would be amazing esp for console players 🙏🏽❤️

Really I personally would like continuation life stages and continuation sub lifestages after elder Life stage so that the individual generations of ancestors all the way to starting with the Original Generation can look on the family tree the specific age that the deceased at if they had especially lived years and decades past 120 years old.
