This is already the third video I’ve uploaded. I’m starting to believe that with a firm mindset, I can really keep going… haha.😁

This week, I’ve been working hard to make sure ZOI is no longer lonely. I’ve been developing systems that allow more ZOIs to appear together. To achieve this, I’ve focused on optimizing performance so the game runs smoothly even when there are many ZOIs.
I’m also working on adding actions that allow for intense, dramatic role-play between characters in inZOI. It’s taking a bit longer than expected, though — I’ve been short on good ideas lately. For this update, I added the “Break Off Engagement” action.

If you get to try the late-October build, you’ll notice that the Karma system has been improved, along with updates to funerals and ghost gameplay.

I also developed a feature where a ZOI can invite another person to eat together, and I plan to keep expanding these kinds of cooperative interactions. I’ll work to complete this alongside multitasking features by December.

Oh, and I’d like to clarify something I noticed in some of your comments.
Some people mentioned that the inZOI team develops very quickly — and while that’s a compliment, it also made me feel a little pressure. 😃
The inZOI team doesn’t actually develop games faster than anyone else. Of course, they are special and incredibly dedicated. It’s just that this month happens to be our update deadline, so there’s a lot I can show you right now.
We’re working on a three-month update cycle, so during the first month or two, there may not be much visible progress. During those quieter times, I’ll share more about our long-term goals and development direction instead.

Autumn has arrived here in Korea — soon it’ll be snowing, I think.

Thank you so much for the video! I am glad that you are updating the karma system and it remains. Perhaps in the future it should be made optional for players who do not want to have the consequences of karma but do bad things, then it will get a great response. And I'm glad that there will be ghosts too, and we're almost following the content roadmap. From what was shown, I would like the clubs to be finalized, there were DJs and the characters themselves came to the sites, in general, the characters themselves came to all public sites (for example, gyms, you could see other people's weddings because there are wedding sites in cities), and also bartenders are very needed in the clubs, I hope that we We'll get them soon. This is all looking amazing! The changing colours of the VFX is so useful (haunted houses anyone? 👀), and I'm loving all the Halloween stuff!

Somehow funerals never crossed my mind as a life sim feature, but I love it, it feels like a much more immersive way to honour our Zois who pass away.

Here in Australia, Spring is well and truly here, which might as well be Summer with how hot it's been getting already chickpeasigh
In the past week, some lovely trees we call jacarandas have begun to bloom. They have beautiful purple flowers and a lovely smell that signifies the year is coming to an end.
Perhaps one day we can see an Australia inspired city come to InZOI and play out the seasons in reverse 😁

Thank you so much for your hardwork, but I'm also worried you and the team might burn yourselves out so please rest when you can ❤. I was going to recommend that we should have funerals and I'm shocked that you added it in! I'm also loving the new added items/clothing as well along with the new dance together feature. The only thing I'd suggest is the ability to break the engagement in person as well. Since its an important matter and breaking it off over the phone can make it seem like a casual thing, having both as options will be nice!

I love all these new features!! I was hoping we’d eventually get functional funerals but I didn’t expect it so soon lol. I’m super happy about it though. I love all the Halloween decor and I noticed the candy in the pumpkin basket depletes over time so I was wondering if this will be something we’re just going to buy and put out for people to take candy or if this means we’re getting a functional trick or treating event? Really love all the new outfits and accessories too!
I posted this in the other weekly video thread but I think it would be a great idea to have a thread just for the videos so we don’t all have to scroll through hundreds of replies to get to the video. Anyway I hope you guys take time for yourselves and get some rest!🫰🏼

**Suggestion for Seasonal /Holidays Events **

(Elf on the shelf/ Hiding Elves (Christmas))

***** Scattered around town in unexpected places (shops, beach, park, and etc. ) to encourage players to get out of the house and explore. Finding each elf awards a different prize. ***

**Some examples: **

  • Money
  • Rare mood buffs/abilities that enhances gameplay
  • Able to do a rare/hidden quest
  • Free vacation trip to Cahaya
  • Grant a wish (job promotion, loan forgiveness and etc.)

(Voodoo Doll/ Cursed Doll (Halloween))

***** Can receive this as a gift or make one to curse someone (must reach a certain skill level to craft one). To make the doll even more creepy and fun make the doll have the ability to move on its own when no one is watching…👀🫣. Having one in your possession causes misfortune. ***

**Some examples: **

  • Cause nightmares that might come true (job demotion, money loss or etc.)
  • Hard to get rid of (might have to pay an exorcist to get rid of it, find/craft an object to help get rid of it or etc.)
  • May cause illnesses
  • May cause unexpected passing
  • Increase chances of a zoi getting possessed by a ghost

Ive posted this before on the previous Post, but for alot of people interested in Build Mode (there is a HUGE player base for this alone with realistic graphics), for the best of inZOI these are highly important topics,
Is this Build Mode Glitch/Flaw possible to fix? I am also wondering if more Tools for Designing different kind of Pools are in development? and if Round Walls and Pools are possible for inZOI aswell as building directly on top of pools? (not just on the next floor level)
and is Terrain Tools in Development aswell as Terrain Paint? I would love to hear your feedback on this 😃 💖

Build Mode Glitch/Flaw ‼️

A Build Mode Glitch/Flaw that Really Needs to be Fixed, that currently affects the Core Elements of Building,
is how Floors, Ceilings and Platforms do not cover the thickness of walls and this creates Dark Lines when Building

It is also an issue when Deleting Walls. Floors, Ceilings and Platforms then is half a tile short
(Because the Wall took up Half a Tile Separately) that causes issues with Floor Paint because it is half a tile short.

It also creates an issue where Platforms, that you as a Creator want to place flushed on top of a wall, is either to Big or to Small

Thank you for the update KJun. I love the Friday videos and the Wednesday answers to the questions and requests that come from the videos.

One thing I want to request is if a team member could also add videos on YouTube that show off different gameplay aspects of inzoi that the general public may not be aware of. This will highlight the feature and areas of gameplay people may not be aware of (ex: snorkeling and trading the items collected for resort coins to purchase gifts, cooking with ingredients and calling zois to meal)

Can we can get an update on which bugs reported since the last patch will be fixed in the October update?

There is supposed to be updates to infants and toddlers in October update right? What areas will be updated?

I like that we will now be able to open bank accounts from the atm (since now it can only be done from the bank) and we can also see our savings.

I agree with the comments about being able to access bad karma features without getting bad karma and also to be able to break off engagements in person.

Will funeral homes be added to Cahaya as well? The video only mentioned Dowon and Bliss Bay.

I like the club feature because it's nice to be able to call over your friends to dance with you but I would also like for random npcs to be in the club dancing when my zoi arrives (or arriving shortly after my zoi arrives). Also we need zois to be swimming automatically the same way they use the gym equipments automatically.

Thank you for adding the sell from the zois bag. This is a great feature. I guess the price will match the price if sold from build/buy mode? So if we want more money for our farmed goods we still need to visit the resale store. Please allow us to also be able to directly interact with the objects from the zois bag.

In Canada it's currently Fall as well but the weather isn't too cold outside yet. Some years we get our first snow on Halloween day. Hope this isn't one of those years.

Could there be a possibility to use the original, pre-0.30 (pre-cahaya) UI in the future as an option ?

There have been a couple update to the UI since and a new one is around the corner in October.
Each time it makes part of the UI bigger or change a component. The pre-Cahaya or "slim" UI as I call it, had a slim emotion bar, a smaller round portrait, small "urges" bar with a white line that grew shorter the less time you had to complete it, no Zoi bubbles over their head, and had the infamous "Cat's eye" pointer. Now many of us loved that early design, and I dare say we would still chose it if we had the chance.

Since many love the new UI and the bigger things without having to "mouse over" each component, I do not want to deprive them of it, but it would be REALLY NICE if we could have the old one as an option !

Is that something that would be possible or are you already considering it?

Club Dancing & Clubs

  • It'd be nice to have other NPCs ask our zoi to dance too. They could come up to our zoi and ask if they want to dance and we can accept or decline.
  • It would also be nice to see crowds or different NPCs already dancing too, both couples and with others.
  • Being able to have different styles of slow dancing couples or two zois can do together. It would also be nice to have two zois slow dance in a club to make a mutual crush or partner jealous too.
  • I'd love to see more styles of dancing randomized when groups dance together, with a option to do the same dance move as well.
  • I know the team isn't this far ahead but wanted to put this out there for when we get a more in-depth dining experience. Zois being able to buy others drinks if there's a bar present on the lot and a waiter comes to serve it.
  • Having a build mode object of a red rope to mark areas within a club as VIP and a bouncer stands outside of it, the only way in is knowing someone of high reputation already in it or a zoi itself being of high reputation.
  • Being able to set some night clubs to have dress codes to get inside

Grave Yards & Death

  • Can we add our own custom text to headstone? So we can add name, birthday and death date, and a message like "Loving sister".
  • Will having a funeral be optional? But there could be consequences from other zois for not having one. Like they can become mad or yell at your zoi, that they didnt honor their loved ones life.
  • Will casket colors have a color wheel?
  • Will we be able to have wills and inheritance? By choosing how funds and objects or a home is left behind is distributed to family members or donated to state if no relatives.
  • Friends giving condolences
  • It would also be nice to see different types of deaths be added, from a flu not taken care of, allergic reactions, bee stings, or insect bites like poisonous spiders, and venomous snakes when you begin to add more of these wild life elements 🙂

While the new male clothes are cool and stylish, I'd rather have more everyday and basic clothes to wear for them. I have 9 male main characters and there is not much selection if you're just the boy/man next door

The team has been working hard and we players appreciate it. It shows dedication and how far you want this game to go 🎯.

Here's a few thoughts:
1️⃣ Continue working on making the game less glitchy, more fluid and optimized. This is the priority in my opinion
2️⃣ Let us keep the functionality of a lot when downloading it from Canvas. I believe from the video that it will but I just want to make sure to share it. It's important for players.
3️⃣ As much as I LOVE the new features (funeral etc.) please continue working on things -us players- have shared on the forum (glitch/features missing on EXISTING interactions).
4️⃣ Keep improving the life in the city. Enhanced the edit public property feature (already in the game) to spawn random NPC on the lot a zoi visit with more preset activities. It will be a GAME CHANGER for the livelihood of the city.

Kjun, thank you so much for the update! It feels like we were just discussing Karma, Ghost Play, funerals and graveyards on the forum, and now they’re actually here. Of course, there’s a lot resting on your shoulders, the picture that’s already emerging far exceeds the expectations of many players… and still…

…when I think of inZOI as a standalone game with its own identity, I’m really hoping to hear what (slight) improvements are planned for native systems like Control City Stability (including City Safety, which could regulate the possibility and chance of burglars appearing for those who don’t want them in their households!), Control Environment (including return of the removed extremely run-down dystopian city), and Bubbly (with its rumors spreading and plans to evolve into a social network) in future updates.

Some players asked me to share again an in-game UI for the local social network Bubbly, which I sketched in the same style. It’s something like a local X/Twitter, with a city-wide feed where Zois you follow post their milestones and moods.

Also bringing it back to this brainstorming sesion, in the previous brainstorming I run a small survey about whether players wanted the rundown version of cities for a potential dystopian gameplay or not, and the majority voted in favor of bringing it back. But it doesn't end there; there is so much potential for limitless gameplay cutomization, particularly now that more karma actions are being added, so it would be interesting to know what you and the team have in mind for the future of Control City Stability, as @ember marsh puts it, and for the impact on karma in the tangible lives of our zois. I've been working on an idea for a city where I try to integrate that sort of dystopian vibe into the world of inZOI without breaking immersion, but in the meantime there has already been a lot of ideas an discussion thrown around in the forum, like in this post https://forum.playinzoi.com/t/dystopian-or-cyberpunk-gameplay/5468 and it'd be great if you could take a look and see what sticks and what not for you.

Looking forward to see the new karma interactions and what ghost play will bring into the table. inZOI's karma's system was one of the features I found most interesting upon EA release, so it's relieving to see that you are enriching it rather than leaving it as it is. Since you asked us to talk about the "darker side of life" that we wanted to see in the game, would you be open to share if you had time to revise the several proposals? What were the ideas that stuck, or the ones that you might consider for future implementation?

@snow palm already linked an interesting forum post above that contains a lot of discussion not only about a dystopic style of gameplay but also about this "darker side of life" that you mentioned.
In the past, at least in promotional pictures,** there seemed to be an even more chaotic rundown version of cities than the one we got at EA access (which was great by the way! Even if it's not my style of play, I did enjoy reading people's dystopian stories and seeing their character gather around bonfires in a helpless looking world), where there were fire breakout for example. Is that kind of disaster out of the picture or could it come back?

And for the people (and understandably the dev team) that worry or are not quite comfortable with dealing with some darker events** (we're not meaning to introduce heavy, explicit violence like murder, etc. just minor crimes, fights, generally just bad citizen behaviour, etc.)** I think @ember marsh proposal of linking the chances of these type of events to different stats in Control City Stability is a good way of giving the players control of what they want to see in a way that feels organic to the game and to the world of inZOI.

**Bar Counter Object Interactions:

  • Spill heart out to bartender
  • Interaction “Buy drink for…”
  • Being able to buy different types of adult drinks
  • young adults being able to drink from bars because wine is exclusive to adult life stages only.

New All Door Interactions

For public lots (can add more than one assigned criteria)

  • Assign a bouncer (which would guard the door and prevent people from entering if a criteria isn’t met, if no criteria as those below are not assigned they would just guard door and all zois would be allowed to enter exit)
  • Assign dress code to enter
  • Assign reputation value level to enter
  • Assign life stages allowed to enter

For Residential:

  • Adding being able to select individual zois that have access to doors

Cooking and New Object Interaction

  • I know this might sound gross but it's more for rags to riches. But it'd be cool if we could cook with rotten produce and ingredients, it would lower the quality of the final dish though and had the potential to make characters sick. Another idea that would be cool for rotten ingredients is being able to use it for compost (not sure if this is already possible haven't really played around with gardening yet).
  • Being able to cook with others or ask others to help cook

**New Clothing **

  • Will it be possible to have modular clothing where we can click our zoi to put hoods of jackets up over their heads? That also protects them from rain and getting sick.
  • I would love to have an opacity slider to add to some or all clothing to give them a mesh fabric look
  • Would the team ever think about making clothing stores similar to like Animal Crossing where you can buy unique clothing or outfit presets that would be added to our zoi's CAZ?

Once the Calendar system is added, will players be able to automatically apply with a single click and customize Christmas Decorations city-wide via this menu? And in the same way, decorations for other holidays like Halloween, Easter, and more?

That would be such a smart use of your core mechanic!

These updates sound amazing! Funerals and mortuaries in the base game are AWESOME! I'm really into social gameplay, so I'm especially excited to see the nightlife expanding with the dancing Zois. If only we could hire an NPC DJ to rock the club and a bartender to serve those new umbrella drinks, then it would be perfect! My dream is for inZOI's nightlife to pop like The Sims 4: Get Together and The Sims 3: Nightlife, with a little bit of GTA mixed in! Keep the dev log videos coming! I love them and the inZOI team! I hope we will be able to dance while talking/eating/drinking

Will we soon be able to visit Cahaya resort without first owning land in Cahaya? I like that we can travel between worlds but it would also be nice to visit the resort in Cahaya like a real hotel experience and have the ability to travel with anyone we know (not only household members) and even travel with one 1 or 2 members from the same household instead of moving all together. Also I noticed we don't get charged when we travel, airplane tickets are not usually free 😉

funerals is a great addition!! Alongside i hope that a jump features is added for going over fences, teenagers are able to develop acne and use skincare to treat it. Functional hairbrushes and blowdryers, nail salons and hair salons. Wasd for the surfing feature and getting rid of the grey outline thingy when it comes to outfits

In the last brainstorm, several posts supported by the community emphasized the importance of immersion in modern games – posts that refer to Ananta’s demo footage, where locations like the cinema or subway aren’t just text shortcuts or rabbit holes, but at the very least staged, with each element designed to be visually present. I don’t think we need tons of locations at once (we do need more, sure, but fewer is better, if each one delivers full immersion).

Also, some things are better shown as vivid icons, images or covers than written out in a text-based menus – this might involve the food being ordered, the movie being chosen, and similar elements.
(as an option? of course, they shouldn’t freeze the whole game with a pop-up)

And, for example, opening the movie theatre and recording a couple of films would add a ton of emotional depth for the players and their Zois.

Would love to see that kind of immersion in restaurants during dates – picking vivid meals from a branded menu UI (like a Smartphone App below), having all the ordered food brought to the table, and actions centered around that table scene: eating, cheers, drinking, chatting, etc.

Nightclubs are already mentioned as planned for improvement and population. Hopefully, they’ll soon feel truly alive! And maybe we could also take the center of the dance floor getting applause or challenged by other Zois?

I look forward to seeing the videos and responses to suggestions each week, TY. The new features look great. I'm glad to see the dance floor is now functional! If the clubs will also benefit from the system to allow more Zois to appear, the club experience would be a lot more fun. I would also like to see bouncers, bartenders and djs working at the clubs (npcs or selectable Zois). It would also help if late teens and young adults were not restricted by certain exclusive permissions that now exist. It would be great to have expanded door lock options for life stages, specific Zois/groups, gender, etc., and object permissions (ig. bars, dj equipment, etc.).

This applies to many aspects of open-world design. The outfit changing mechanics in Watch Dogs 2 feel much more realistic, each boutique is branded, with its own music and displays. And if you sum up all the boutiques in this game, there’s just a ton of clothing (which is less typical for action games like this, but works perfectly for a life sim).

Representation as a CAZ-style branded menu over a custom-designed fitting room background would be a peak immersion moment. Imagine being able to create your own fashion brand – choosing background and color, importing or generating logo, and what goes on sale.

Smartphone apps follow the same pattern. You can even buy and install Media Player to play your playlist in the character’s “headphones” during gameplay (not just in the car), which sets the mood for city walks instead of traffic noise or sparse silence.

I dont know whatever if I should mention this or somewhere else. But just drop it anyway.
Four ideas:

  1. A photo album would be a nice addition to the game. A lot of players love taking picture of their zois.

  2. The options of different walk styles for the zoi to choose would be good addition too.

  3. When Zoi is exhausted, passed out on floor in who knows where. Depend on the circumstances but in one specific circumstance, I would love it when a child or teenager passed out on floor from lack of sleeping. A parent could (teenager can too) pick child up, either in arm or backpiggy and carrying them to bed (or couch?) to tuck them in? It would have to be in house. I don't know how that will be work somewhere else outside of house unless the bed's nearby.

  4. I'm hopig that in order for people show up in the relationship panel is though phone number exchange with zoi. I don't want people just show up in relationship panel after interacting with them. Especially the unwanted friendship(s), and text(s).

The options to get phone number is asking around whom know and is friend with her/him for number.

Stalking online after knowing their name with the intention of trying to get phone number.
Or
Just ask zoi directly. I want another zoi to ask my zoi for phone number and the options to accept or decline. The same gone for NPC to accept or decline my zoi's asking.

Oh, maybe zois just show up in relationship panel, (because i want to see relationship bar) but unable to text/call them unless get their phone number first. It's good way to preventing npc zoi's unwanted text/call till they get my zoi's phone number first (unless stalking online maybe? 👀). I think there should have three tabs. One is "have contact", two is "have no contact" and three is "blocked" (you can't block unless you have their phone number)

Just to clarify – this wasn’t my proposal, it was mentioned by Kjun himself Psycat_Blush:
“This is setting ‘City Safety Level’, and this affects how chaotic the city will be with crimes and fights that can happen.”
And there were those early build screenshots with burning car and footage with fires. Imagine that on Halloween, with players’ imaginations… oof.

But it’s also valid in the opposite direction – for example, complete absence of crime/burglaries/fights at “green” City Safety level(s).

First of all, thank you for the video. It was a super interesting watch and I enjoyed it!

I was to preface by saying that adding functional funerals and graveyards is definitely a feature ive been missing (especially with the casket). It looks amazing already and I cant wait to play it! (Maybe my freaky zois can throw picnics in the graveyard).

As for clubs, dancing together is defnitely an addition we've been missing and will definitely make clubs feel more emersive. But I do think a feature that's seriously missing is a bar (and drinks in general). Of course, i understand you might not be able to add alcohol to the game to keep with age rating, but how about adding fake drinks based on real ones? Yes, just like the Memory System (originally scheduled for December) – all of them are mentioned somewhere in the roadmap or shown briefly in footage. But of course, what we’re really waiting for is full integration of early systems with later ones, so that nothing becomes mutually exclusive. That way, gameplay variability increases progressively! 1_One I really love the boat rescue scenario! Who will we need to rescue? Could there be city Zois at risk of drowning that we can come to the rescue of? I can just see the possibilities with storytelling! Imagine telling your future children how you met their mother by rescuing her out at sea just in the nick of time. 😅
2_Two The group dance interaction will definitely help clubs. I'm rooting for you and the team to make the clubs, karaoke, etc to feel more lively. 🙌 Also hoping we will get adult beverages at some point and more varied dance moves in the future as well. 💃
3_Three The male outfits look so stylish! I especially love those first two you showed. Kudos to the team for all the new outfits!

just to add on the idea of hair salons could we also get barber shops too similar to gta5 and read dead. Maybe hair could have a growing function to where it grows and you have to cut it which prompts you to go to the hair salon or barber shop. They can have animations of the zoi getting to wash their hair then take a seat. After they take a seat presets with different hairstyles pop up they could choose from. What do you guys think?

Ghost play: If you decide to play as a ghost you can unlock quests to help you cross over or reborn again into the same family or a different one depending on your choice. I was thinking that you can also choose to "walk in". By that I meant, you don't have to be reborn as a baby but take over someone else's body and this body is whatever age/look you choose (so it won't just be a random zoi and it will take you to CAZ mode), and this zoi will be awakened from a coma and live on with the zoi that has passed on memories. So they can either look the same (giving people the deja vu/eerie vibe that this zoi looks like the one that passed away) it can bring comfort to those that lost that zoi or fear to those that have bad relationships with them, or look entirely different.

And these quests could be unfinished business that they had before passing on like fixing a bad relationship, fulfilling the wishes they couldn't do, reliving their favorite moments or being be someone's guardian and help them accomplish their goal, fulfill a promise etc.

This can also tie to karma as well by using points. If they do mischievous things like scare people, break objects, stalk or haunt a house/lot, they might have a harder time moving on or receive ghost jail time (no haunting for a day), or if its goes down the very bad spectrum they would lose the privilege to be reborn and die off completely. And if you do good deeds—returning lost items, scare off burglar or help others fix their bad relationships, etc. you acquire good karma points.

It doesn't have to be this detailed but I just want ghosts to have replayability and simply not just a state.

Graves: For generational gameplay, if they revisit a ancestor's grave they can gain wisdom or advice, get skill boost, gain skill or have altered emotions, so if they were sad, they can become happy or if they disliked that family member they can gain a negative moodlet.

And by continuous interaction/revisitations, you can uncover dirty secrets that they took to the grave, a secret letter, hidden treasure that they hid on the plot of land, and by being respectful you can gain a protection boost from your ancestor from burglars or be "karma free" for a while.

Also, if you meditate or interact with ofher grave markers (can be any zoi's grave), you get to relive their happiest or strongest emotional moments (negative or positive) either through the unique memory system or receive a notification of what the zoi learned, allowing us to find out who they were as a person. We can also open a profile of their timeline to see their accomplishments, zoi info, relationships, etc.

This is just a suggestion and it doesn't have to follow this word for word. But I think it be neat if graves are more than just objects!

Nice to see emergency rescue for vehicles working. I remember using it when my Zoi became stuck in Cahaya while riding his motorbike. Used the button and he was invisible.

But my question immediately is: how are the graveyards going to work? Does it have graves as just decorations or will graves get filled by Zois that die? If the graveyard becomes full, will the older graves be replaced with the new ones? What would be interactions with these? Just curious.

  1. Could we please get Bartenders and Waiters/Waitresses for the public lots? Especially at the Nightclubs... (And also, work as one in an active career)

And the ability for Zoi’s to order different cocktails/mocktails? Specialty drinks could also be available and have different effects on your Zoi’s mood?

  1. For build mode.. I’ve previously suggested this.. but I really would love the addition of curved walls, platforms, pools and stairs.

Also, the ability to add multiple smaller sized windows on one wall.. and allow 2 doors to “snap” together (to create double doors). And the ability to “layer”objects (like wall decor, curtains and rugs.)

  1. I definitely love the addition of funerals and am excited for more family gameplay!!

  2. Hopefully holiday feasts could be added… (where multiple Zoi’s can cook together) and the ability to schedule and plan large family gatherings (Ex: Holiday celebrations/family reunions)

How many changes have been made to the Karma system? In the past punishments for doing negative actions were really bothersome and for me, a bit unrealistic.
Also, what exactly is the emergency rescue for? If it’s an actual emergency rescue feature it would be much cooler to see ambulances or rescue boats come to your aid. Teleportation features break immersion a bit.

A way to save mods into playlists for us to easily enable or disable different groups of mods!! On geforce, I can’t access files to reenable my old mods so I have to go through them all individually

Would love to see car crash collision physics so that cars could even flip over, catch fire, or you could fall off of a motorcycle, etc!

I would also like to suggest improvements to the texture and media upload system, especially for players using GeForce Now. Currently, features such as the AI Emote Creator, 3D Printer (CAZ/Build Mode), Texture Uploads, and Billboard Media Uploads require direct file access.
Some potential fixes:
Integrated Online Search for Textures & Media – Implement a built-in search feature that allows players to find copyright-free textures or images directly from the game.

Cloud-Based Photo & Media Library – Introduce a feature where in-game photos taken by the player are automatically saved to an internal media gallery or canvas. These saved images could then be used for billboards, home decorations, or texture customization, eliminating the need for external uploads. This library could also be connected to your Canvas account, and you could upload photos to it seamlessly and at ease. (these photos would not be public, however)

Direct Link Uploads – If possible, allow players to paste image URLs (from Google Drive, Imgur, or other online sources) as an alternative to direct file uploads.

I really hope the Inzoi team can stand their ground when needed and not feel pressured to cater to every single request from the community. People are asking for everything; from cats, dogs, and horses to tigers, fairies, werewolves, witches, all kinds of active careers, more African hairstyles, more Asian cuisine, more European styles, male hairstyles, child clothing, bands, actors, celebrities... the list just keeps growing.

It’s great that the devs are open-minded and listening to feedback, but at some point, it becomes unrealistic to try to satisfy everyone. I hope they stay focused on their core vision and aren’t afraid to say "no" when necessary. Quality and direction matter more than checking every box.

Kjun, I like the current format of videos! ❤️ I love seeing your Zoi share the updates, too! This process has been wonderful. Even when there's less to show, I really look forward to the quiet times when you share more about long-term plans or philosophy.

I'm excited about funerals and cemeteries. You didn't mention Cahaya. Will there be a graveyard in Cahaya, or can we build a custom one on one of the vacant "multipurpose" lots? I would enjoy creating a graveyard with assets designed for them. Or if there is one planned for Cahaya already, don't worry about it. I would like to see a graveyard in all cities, please. 🙏 ❤️

Selling multiple items from the inventory! What a joy. Everyone will appreciate this, I bet! Is this possible at the resale store or everywhere? I'd prefer just the resale store, but that's your choice for sure.

The ATM update is neat and could get people using them more. At first, I thought they were just decorative. 😳 But I've enjoyed getting a zoi to help another out by giving cash from the ATM (thanks to a loading menu tip. Love those tips!!)

People asked for more things to do in the city, so the devs gave us a nightclub. But when we visited it, it felt empty and lifeless, there was nothing to do, and we couldn’t even use the dancefloor. So, they added the ability to dance. Then players pointed out that it felt odd being the only Zoi dancing, so they added a feature to have multiple Zois dance together. After that, people wanted NPCs to be more interactive, like asking to dance with your Zoi, or already being on the dancefloor when you arrive.
It feels like a lot of the features are only half-finished, added in response to feedback rather than as part of a clear vision. I really hope the devs have a long-term plan and aren’t just relying on the community to guide every step of development.

tbh, I support 50/50 requests for events and locations that can be planned with other Zois/NPCs – because DLC “Zoi’s Invitations” was originally scheduled for Mar2026 (if you contrast the roadmap image hard enough, you can read it) – and I was waiting for it too. So basically, the community is giving consistent feedback, allowing the mechanics to be set up in their best form ahead of time. All activity requests (in groups, crowds) essentially let the devs shift from full-scale simulation to contextual, adaptive setups (brainstorm “It’s also about journey”). They determine the viability and liveliness of the open world, and therefore the game’s competitiveness even across massive genres. I agree there’s no need to deliver every place – better to make a few key locations, but make them truly rich and sweet. If the second DLC had a different concept and that confused me – of course, I apologize. But, there was no mention of animals or occult themes (only Ghost Play – Karma Chain), and so on in early access, so that’s off-limits.

  • Zois often sit and stand up too often during conversations
  • More family meals a parent can make for their spouse and kids
  • Being able to call out sick from work or have maternity/paternity leave
  • Relations to uncle and aunt, cousins specified
  • Ability to change last name on marriage
  • Be able to invite a significant others friends to wedding (the planner zoi can only invite their own acquaintances)
  • Not need to place down an object to use it
  • New voices
  • Different heights for adolescent, teen and adult
  • AI texting
  • Different walking styles
  • Being able to mix genetics of two zois to create a child in CAZ

Yesss, this is a great idea! Did you know that in Cahaya, there are Barber Chairs in the Central Market area (if I remember correctly) that your Zoi can interact with to change their hairstyle?

It doesn’t have full hair-doing animations, it just opens CAZ’s hair section, but I would absolutely love to see this feature fully fleshed out where there are actual barbers, similar to the Cahaya Spa workers and you can choose “Get Haircut ,” “Get Hair Growth Serum,” or “Style Hair (to choose any new style)”.

Maybe your Zoi could become a barber too!

If they combine this feature with the hair length slider that are already in the game so the hair can grow organically, that would be great. It should be optional though or maybe the player can turn it on for individual Zois.

And perhaps two options can be added for hair growth systems:

  1. Use hair the length feature (on hairs that apply) for hair growth stages, so it’s more natural and seamless looking

  2. Use player designated hairstyles for each growth stage. Players can choose one hair from length categories that a Zoi’s hair will switch to after hair growth (natural or with serum).

Something like that!

Ghosts, 1. Signs should not behave like ordinary characters, talk to the living, use household appliances, eat, and so on. 2. Any interaction with signs should be done using a bell. 3. The characters' reactions to ghosts should not be too vivid. The living should feel an otherworldly presence, but if they are not visible, they should simply feel uneasy (unexplained unease). This should affect their behavior, causing nightmares, frequent awakenings, and mental exhaustion. When a character sees a ghost, they should react based on their personality, showing surprise, fear, interest, intense fear, and fainting. 5. Remove the ghosts from the park, as it has become like a cemetery, where only deceased relatives, angry ghosts, or ghosts with unfinished business can follow the living.

I dunno if this would be doable or not, but it would be cool to have a Day of the Dead sort of holiday where your Zoi (or Zoi’s family) goes to the cemetery and they can “summon” the ghost of a loved one to share a meal with.

Since there’s already a section of the Menu that shows how many ghosts are in town, it seems like a feasible thing!

Even though I will strongly disagree that the new male clothing is cool and stylish they looked dorky or more so look at me I need attention style. But I absolutely agree we need more everyday styles mixed in with what we're getting and different fits too. All the pants styles now are baggy or cropped it would be nice to see some regular/full pants lengths options added that reach the shoes but don't cover them we have none just a handful of cropped and a few baggy options and nothing else.

A few more thoughts about the signs, they should be really mysterious and scary, maybe dangerous, not as ridiculous as in Sims 4, and they should be divided into dangerous, neutral, and those who want to finish what they didn't finish in life and go to the afterlife. These ghosts can give the player simple tasks to complete, and once completed, they can reward the player.

In my experience of playing InZoi, I believe the life stages themselves need the most work. This is a life simulation, and right now the life stages feel unfinished.
Life stages:
**Infants: **
-Need to be smaller (have smaller heads).
They should be in Create a Zoi
-They should have their own outfits
-Hairstyles
-Hats
-traits
Interactions - Feeding, changing, bathing, and playing.
-They should be able to be carried by children and older
-Have baby swings, bouncers, and a play mat
-Strollers and baby carriers
Toddlers:
They need to be a bit larger (currently, they are the same size as infants), and for a video game, they should be distinct and visually distinguishable.
Objects
-Toddler bed
-Doll house
-Toy box
-Stroller and tricycle
-Toddler easel
-More toys and stuffed animals
-Playground equipment that they can play on
Interactions
-They should start off crawling, but learn to walk (movement skill)
Teach them to talk (Charisma skill)

-Locked doors. I want to lock doors for certain Zois in my household.
-Lots. I want the lots to go up to the sidewalk. I don't like that there is a gap.
-Parking Cars. I want cars to either be parked on the street or in my driveway or garage. I would also like that if when I travel somewhere that the car stays parked where I left it. I usually have my Zois park in a parking lot and it disappears.
-Why does Bliss Bay not have a working Fire Station? There is a Fire Station, but it’s not interactive.
School:

Mostly a repost, but if the topic of occult/paranormal is already being raised (which people have very different views on), I’d suggest keeping only the original Karma + Ghost Play and Psycat and her Deity for early access – both meaningful pieces of lore, a layer of inZOI’s identity.

And after that, start thinking about what could be more mature and further removed from Sims-like.

For example, pop culture often touches on “subtle matters” – like the “threads of fate” and “time entanglements” in Makoto Shinkai’s works (“Your Name”), or in far South legends (“South of Midnight” game), and “Weathering With You” with its theme of controlling the weather… or native Korean mythical beings Gumiho, Dokkaebi, Imugi (K-Dramas like “Tale of the Nine-Tailed”), or urban legends from LA (Gravity Hill, Hollywood Forever Cemetery, Hills and Secret Occult Circles / Dark Academia, Thunderbird, and so on.)

Looks like cool new features. I'm most excited on the infant/toddler updates but I'm okay waiting until December versus October so they can be perfected as I notice you no longer say October for that. What I would really like to see eventually is toddler clothing /hair in CAZ. The Halloween updates are super cute and I can see myself playing with the AI build mode for templates/ideas which I would then modify to my liking. I enjoy building, but like a rough template to start with. In Second Life I often modify builds for my landscaping and they look completely different than the original when I finish with them, but I like some orderly lines/layout to start with.

  1. The video format is lovely, in my opinion, but there are a few moments were it's not certain what exactly you are referring to when showing things off.

For example, for the moment where you talked about enhancing the snap functions in build mode, it would've been nice to see a comparison side-by-side so we know what exactly changed. It was hard to understand what you were referring to.

  1. About the club dancing, it would be great if you added the ability for Zoi to dance autonomously at the club, in addition to the ability to call a specific group to dance with you! And I'd hope there will be more dance variations added 🙏

  2. About funerals, this is a really exciting feature to hear about! I've felt that death in the game doesn't have the impactful effect it should have (when appropriate). Right now, a Zoi can cry a few times and be over it in a day. I would like to see a more fleshed out grief system of some sort added. And I hope that the cemeteries can become functional where our Zois' tombstones can be added after death. As others have said, please take your time with this feature so it is meaningful and interactive.

  3. Super curious about those new functional objects... Will Zois be able to go trick or treating with those pumpkin baskets, or is it like a carriable candy bowl they can fill and eat out of? 👀 What sort of interactions are we getting with caskets?

  4. The other CAZ additions and small features, I am happy to see, especially calling a Zoi to eat a dish. That is a MUCH wanted feature of mine, and I'm so excited to see if finally be added! It's a bit off topic, but i just wanted to say that the new august events that were added to the game (the crush event, breakup, and obsessions) are absolutely wonderful and a great addition to the game!

I hope you'll expand on those events in the future to play on the game's strengths and maybe even add more events (and expand exisitings ones like adding more text and interaction varitaions to make it feel more unique). Some events from the top of my head:

-proposals

-deciding whether to break up

-deciding wherever to have kids

-announcing pregnancy to partner

-first kiss

-deciding to get back together

-deciding whether to divorce

-secret crushes and an event to finally admit your feelings

-becoming best friends

-apologizing/making up

-confronting your bully

-and finally, I also hope you'll consider more lgbtq specific events like coming out as gay to friends/parents and admiting to your same gender friend you have a crush on them and the end could end bad (I never wanna be friends again!), neutral (thank you for addmiting it, but i cant return your feelings) or good (I like you too). And if not, then maybe make it open ended enough to allow modders to easily make it?

As an end note, I think that whoever thought of this mechanic is an absolute genius and defnitely makes inzoi stand on its own 2 feet.

On a other note, maybe a random event that appears to hang out with coworkers/classmates after work/school? For coworkers itd be all the coworkers that can make it, and for classmates itd either be for academic purposes (basically studying/doing homework together) or recreational purposes (hanging out with zois you're friends with)

Since the calendar is coming in December (we also have schedules), they can utilize it and make trick-or-treating as a playable mini event under a certain time window (6pm-8pm) which will trigger neighborhoid AI and environmental changes. Zois can prepare costumes, decorate homes, and buy candy leading up to the night (and have designated Halloween store like Halloween City in America). We can host a Hallowwen party, trick-or-treat, or ignore it all together. Kids, teens, and playful adults can participate; toddlers can tag along in strollers as well!

They also don't necessarily have to call it Halloween either, it can be called something else or we can even have the ability to name the Holidays ourselves. It be so neat!

I also think something like this would be very cool for a story mode. Story mode as they devs talked about could disable features like cheats or going in and changing your outfit like you would in normal/sandbox mode, and instead you have to go shopping, pay to get your hair done, etc

Would love to see interactions like coming out to parents as well, seeing whether they accept you or not, etc

It will definitely make me look forward to the Holidays and not just another day that passes by lol. Kids can also have costume contests at school and if the devs don't implement Neighborhood trick-or-treating, it can be at booths at Liberty or Nuri plaza too! I was thinking that Halloween is different for Korea compared to where I'm from (America), so they can implement a rabbit hole (haunted house/escape room), a public costume contest for young adults-adults, and public DJ booth where we can dance together while wearing costumes. Oh, face paint booths too! The devs can even add small "scary" prank interactions specifically for Halloween that zois can use on each other to create a fun mood. Like a beautiful dance of western and eastern cultures!

Its a great idea and Kjun needs to see it! And I agree about not wanting to use mods for trick-or-treating especially when it hits consoles and those that don't have access to mods won't be able to enjoy it. I don't think any life simulator has truly implemented playable trick-or-treating. Inzoi will be the first if they decide to go through with it! Obviously not this year but possibly by next year. It will be really neat!

**Clothing from Different Eras: ** It'd be nice to see clothing from different eras in time from 1960s-1990s for both male and females. I feel we have a good amount of 'modern' trendy clothing but would like to see variations of styles.

  • I also feel we don't have enough male clothing for children and adults either, we need more shoes and pants, and tops for them.

**Working Out Interactions and Gameplay **

  • Be able to set a workout route for walking, jogging, and running where my zoi will go to and I can have the option to have a friend or more tag along and workout together.
    -Using protein shakes to help recovery time
  • I’d would also like to see injuries for working out by: sprained ankle, pulled muscle in legs/arm/back, muscle spasms, pulled groin, knee injury, fainting, falling. These would increase likely chances of happening if they have low energy, over training like say working out hours non-stop or working out too frequently and not recovering appropriately. Some realism in this aspect would be great.
  • Recovery time being a part of work out where zoi need to rest and regain strength: 1. first time exercising = sore body for a few days

**Feedback for Objects in Build/Buy Mode **
There are some objects that I love like the Samsung Flex tablet and another one that can be used like a computer. But they don’t have any use except to be opened and closed. They’re not able to be used like a computer or a true tablet it’s more so decoration with an animated screen. And there’s other objects I found that are like this as well, which, I wished had a purpose and usefulness. Telephones and Public Payphone Booths. Printers could be used to generate photos and posters, taken with cameras and phones, that can be placed on walls like stickers but in the form of a Polaroid, and posters like a long photo. Blender isn’t able to be used to make smoothies or protein shakes for workout.

Breaking off engagements

I was thinking when we do break off an engagement, we can select a reason as to why, for example:

Each reason type could fall under 3–4 emotional categories, like:
Emotional Dissatisfaction → “I want someone who is attentive of my needs.”
Different Paths → “Our visions no longer align.”
Loss of feelings → “I don't feel the sparks anymore.”
Personal Issues → “I need to work on myself first.”

And depending what we choose, we will get a response to what we've selected (a glimpse to their perspective).

Example: If the player says “I don’t feel loved,” a stoic partner might respond:
“You know I’m not good with words, but that doesn’t mean I don’t care.”
While a sensitive partner might respond:
“I thought I was giving you everything I had... was it not enough?”

Halloween

  • Needing to buy candy at stores and a pumpkin bucket instead of it being automatic all-in-one.
  • Buying costumes to wear at a current clothing store ( maybe a new clothing location can come later)
  • Go to all houses to trick or treat
  • NPCs actively inviting you to halloween parties you can attend or not.
  • Halloween themed baked recipes like cupcakes, cookies, candy lollis
  • Having a fancy crystal punch bowl we can purchase for parties, pastry stands, cobwebs decor
  • Schools having after school event for elementary students they can optionally attend. Such as a school dance or fall festival.
  • I wish there were more homes so that there could be abandoned homes that looked old and broken but also are haunted.
  • Will Bliss Bay amusement park have Halloween themed rides, that are temporary? Like a scary clown tunnel, Grim Reaper chase maze, terror fun house.

So I have some suggestions for funerals. First I do hope we have various kinds of coffin designs along with being able to have a simple pine box since coffins are expensive. I think it would add variety if we have different kinds of headstones as well, and being able to leave flowers for loved ones. It would be nice to have family crypts eventually as well for those that have large families. For the actual funeral itself I do think zois should have varied reactions based on how close they were with the zoi that died. So zois that attend that maybe hated them will pretend to cry, maybe laugh at them when no one is looking or after everyone has left, maybe write mean things on their headstone, etc. Zois that are have a somewhat close relationship can still cry but may be able to get through their grief faster, while zois that were very close will grieve longer. They may not want to eat as much or even eat more during that time. Having those zois that were very close zois fall to their knees in despair while crying. Some zois can be in a state of denial about it as well. Over time some zois may have a bittersweet feeling about it as they’ll still be sad that their loved one passed but knows that the zoi ( hopefully) lived a long full life. Other zois can also just be angry and sad about it too. I do hope that when we get a memory system that zois are able to reflect on their loved ones death and that they have an option to go visit their loved ones grave and leave new flowers, cry it out or simply just have a conversation with them about how much they miss them or maybe tell them about how their life has been going lately. And if we have the option to cremate zois I think besides having urns, we could also have columbariums.

As I mentioned earlier, the game needs deeper immersion, more diverse visual expression, focused staging, and the ability to play out nonlinear events within the scene rather than relying on text placeholders that trigger repetitive animations: #1428750422436221018 message

How this will be implemented is, of course, up to the devs, but for now I see a misdesign that makes the game feel overly niche and a bit disengaging for many players.

**Some other things I have gathered since playing last. **
-CAZ needs a randomize genetics option. I like making families and it’s difficult because there is no way to randomize the parents genetics to make a child in CAZ
-We need more relationship types in CAZ. (Boy/girl friend, Sister/brother, aunt/uncle, grandma/grandpa, and cousin)
-When I save a Zoi preset that all their outfits are saved as well
-A way to save families we make in CAZ so we can use them in other saves.

Gameplay
-Set auto lights (So they turn on/off when Zoi’s enter or leave a room)
-Wash all dishes (if Zoi’s leaves dishes around a Zoi can clean them all at once)
-Clean up all action (useful for all the baby bottles and diapers left on the ground. You can just click on one and select clean all)
-Pick what clothes to change into after a shower/bath (This way Zoi’s don’t spend extra time changing their outfits. Especially useful for when they are heading to bed/work)
-When choosing to have a baby through medical science, to still have the father/mother show up as their parent, or at least make it an option.
-Choosing last name when getting married. I hate that my Zoi’s end up with different last names unless it’s intended for the story I am telling.

One note to the funreals: grief time and its mood effect should depend on the relationship "bond" and status. Also, to make things more interesting, maybe Zois could actually do some "bad karma" stuff on funreals of their enemies and even have better mood after the event?

I wanted to suggest adding the option to use the clothing “sets” as standalone pieces. For example, some male sets include a t-shirt and shorts combo, but it would be great if these could be worn separately since the items are already designed and exist in-game. Personally, I like the bottom from some of these sets but not the top, and it would be nice to mix and match them with other outfits.

The same goes for the male swimming shorts. Right now it seems you can’t add a shirt when wearing them. It would make sense if the swim shorts could be treated as their own clothing item so players could style them more freely.

I imagine it wouldn’t be too difficult to enable, since the assets are already there, and it would really add more flexibility to outfit customization.

Kjun, there's something I urgently need to bring up, if there's still time for the comment to be seen before you collect our words to ponder.

Currently, items in the game wear down and look damaged very fast. Some furniture can be refurbished, some can't. Please make it so we can toggle furniture wear and tear with an option or a cheat, and to make it so worn down furniture can be "refurbished" just by clicking on it.

All of my builds have included items placed off the grid. In my latest build, I used the ALT key to overlap some items, like putting a coffee table close to a corner or L-shaped sofa, custom heights for cabinets, etc. If I upload this build, people won't be able to replace those items in build mode. Especially when you take into account that many people download builds because they don't know how to or don't want to use the build mode extensively enough to use advanced features to make things look the way they originally did when they began playing with something they download.

My latest build is my best yet, and I really do want to share it. But I don't want to make anyone frustrated trying to replace old furniture in a fancy mansion that has things in such precise places.

Please implement this kind of toggle option or cheat and the one-click refurbish/replace of the worn-down items as soon as possible!! 🙏 ❤️

The reason is I play some families with cultures that use gendered family names. If I want a new bride to take on the husband's family name in that scenario, she needs to have the feminine form of the family name. The same is true if they have a baby girl.

That's one thing I love so very much about inZOI!! 🥰

So please, please, can we have an option to apply online for a name change (at any time, and add an administrative fee), and to have a free application to change names when you schedule the wedding party? If it's an impromptu marriage, the couple could need to file the appropriate form on the computer to change their names afterward. That would be so cool! 😎

Hi Kjun and team, thank you for your hard work. I hope to see romance based urges be improved. Currently Zois get urges to marry other Zois they have little to no romantic relationship with. If they have confessed love, the urge to marry should be for those Zois chosen for that relationship. I’d like to see urges to go on a date, talk to, or spend time with romantic partner. I’m hoping they will have behavior improvements to recognize their partner and have more proximity autonomous romance interactions and not random with any npc in the area. Currently, dates are a disaster with npc conversation take over.
I also would really like to see my Zois partners, friends, and family members come by for a visit more often. Some times I’d rather have impromptu visits than scheduling events to hangout. If we could call Zois for a chat on the phone that would be great too.
One last thing, please allow young adults to graduate college with aging off.

I do like your ideas of grief effecting their everyday lives and not just a ' textual state of being'. It would add so much realism if it effected their eating habits, sleep quality, performance at work and school due to grief. But stages of grief not happening the same way to for zois, it would need to depending on how close they were and taking personality traits into account. I hope the team considers these elements in gameplay

Not all of my zois have experienced that urge when they reached mutual crush. It's nice that I can pause the urge when I want to pursue that relationship to find out if the zois are compatible in the long run.

It ruins immersion when your Zoi gets an urge to marry their mother/father or some random Zoi they have no romance with. Urges should have specific triggers. Mine gets urges to marry Zoi’s they barely know. That’s not realistic and doesn’t play well with story telling. Obviously the family part of it is a bug, but there should be some reason they get an urge to marry someone. Also traits affect how often they get the urge to marry as well. I have one Zoi that never gets it and he’s confessed to two Zoi’s but another that gets it often and has confessed to multiple Zoi’s.

Yikes! That's got to be a bug! I've only had it happen when two zois reach mutual crush—except not all my zois have developed that urge when they made a romantic connection with someone.

But it definitely shouldn't happen when there's no romantic connection, and especially when there's a family relationship. That sounds like a bad bug. I'm sure it's related to the other zois randomly getting the urge regardless of romantic connection.

I hope they can fix that so that it makes sense. I have had two different zois develop urges to marry the person they got into a mutual crush with. In both cases, the connection was especially strong, and it seemed like they must be very compatible or have a lot of chemistry.

Hi kjun! So one thing I hope to see eventually is actual changes in the seasons, like more rain in the spring and somewhat fall. Leaves starting fall from trees during fall and eventually becoming bare in winter, along with certain plants dying and blooming again in spring. Windy days and changes in leaves colors during fall. Small spots of ice forming on the sidewalks and road, making zois more prone to slipping or crashing during winter and seeing icicles form on the edges of roofs 🥹. Cherry blossom petals falling!( the perfect kdrama scene lol😅)

Making Zoi Faces in CAZ

I've seen posts from players who want to have presets for parts of faces, such as selecting an eyes preset and then pick out lips and nose presets, etc.

I think that's a pretty cool idea and I thought it might be possible because the genetics system in the game seems to select features from each parent's face. For example: mom's mouth and jaw, dad's eye shape and nose type, etc.

With that said, I wish to keep the current method of face creation that we have now (selecting a complete face preset and customising it) as well. 🙏 Something like when we click on the face tab in CAZ, we can select a face preset like we do now, and then we can change certain regions with presets for even more flexibility.

I would like to make zoi faces both ways. The current method helps to make a very consistent face if you're creating a specific ethnicity (real-world or fictional). The second proposed method would make it much easier to create zoi versions of real people, for example.

Plus sometimes everything is perfect about the preset you selected except the lips are parted no matter what you try. (Those features appeal to some people but not others, or that feature might be perfect for a different face but you can't quite get it the same as on the other face preset.)

Back when I worked with the original MetaHuman (the one accessed via the website and now integrated into inZOI), I also really liked the Blend feature – it allowed devs/artists to mix traits from multiple faces and adjust how much each one influenced specific facial features. That would be incredibly helpful for simulating inherited traits, if the Team ever implemented that module.

UPD: MH already uses three default height presets (Short, Average, Tall), combined with three weight types unw, ovw, nrw by default for m, f (18 combinations). By this can simply lead to complications with animations, clothing joints, and other gameplay-related aspects. At least for default MH, clothing is made and tagged for a specific height.

I think it should be applied to other npc families living in the city, let them have their own story mode, otherwise the city these houses will soon be empty, Although the family management inventory will automatically fill in the city, but the lack of family reproduction realism, if there is a Family Tree will be more real, immersion,We can control other families and lock their states. Oh, that looks so amazing!! 👀 I have truly enjoyed seeing the genetics that are already in the game. They might even improve, and hopefully we'll be able to blend genes from parents in CAZ in the future. However, it's awesome to have the baby zoi, watch their toddler face as they grow, then discover how they look as they age.

My favourite zoi couple have very different features with some extremes. The mother has some insecurities about her chin, and the father has a very square face and large nose. They've had 5 children, who all look different from one another, yet appear closely related to each other and their parents. 🥰

I want to enjoy multigenerational gameplay when inZOI is out of Early Access, and we won't need to start a fresh game unless we want to. I really hope there will be dominant and recessive genes that can be passed down through generations (like The Sims 2 had, only much, much better).

Not sure what friend is referring to – in newer Unreal versions (5.2+), real-time Retargeting works pretty smoothly for any animation onto any skin of any height, when the root and bone set are the same. RootMotion, Blend Anim/Montages, Motion Matching, IK all behave fine too. I did run into issues with Slots though – it’s tricky to attach a sleeve or a handheld item when arm length changes, etc. Probably off-topic for this thread, but I’d be curious to know if the devs are using Animation Blending, Pose Search, and Motion Matching (the best animation set based on position, traversal, force, momentum, and so on – body turns, sudden stops, falling, etc).

Eventually, for sure. There are several pieces of cat furniture in the build mode right now, so there will be cats in the future. They've mentioned pets, but there are a lot of things in development at the moment, and I think the roadmap has changed a lot.

Lately, they've put the focus on improving the core features before adding new ones.

I'm hoping we get cats sometime in the first quarter of 2026, but I don't know if that' way too optimistic! I want a pet cat for sure, but I want it to be done right. I think they should focus on adding cats first since it's a cat-centric game. Make sure the cats are done to perfect, and then add other pets in the same way. Make sure each one is perfect.

Better Active Jobs: Ride Share Driver, Food Delivery, Sanitation Worker

The current active jobs are alright but aren’t that engaging once you’ve done it once. Some alternative active jobs with a good game play loop would be to add active jobs around navigating the city.

As suggested in this video https://youtu.be/fMZdGKBqQL8?si=aVppuqCfBlC3TShA&t=294 adding an active job for driving people around like a taxi driver, or food delivery would allow players to quickly become familiar with the world and engage with Zois. It also serves as a good use case to add a GPS feature.

  • Ride Share Driver: Pay varies by peak hours and distance, tips vary based on whether you get Zois to their destination on time, avoid accidents, etc.
  • Pocket Market Food Delivery: Deliver food around the city and on time before the food gets cold to earn better tips. Maybe even encounter scammers who claim their food wasn't delivered.
  • City Sanitation Worker: Pick up trash, sweep the streets, paint over graffiti. There are already NPC Zois in yellow vests that clean around the city, so it should not be much to allow that to be a job for players. Since there is already a city control for “City Sanitation” this job can be activated if the control is set to a certain level.

Please bring back working clocks showing the in game time. They are all just static now for 7 o'clock, which makes me sadden, because i really loved the realism it brought.

Also will we have the option to not have pop in? I miss seeing the world, zois, and cars in the distance. Could we get it as a option to turn on and off?

Once again, I’ve been reading through the countless posts on Discord, and I can’t help but be amazed by your passion and love for inZOI. You guys never seem to run out of energy 😄 — and thanks to that, I get new ideas and motivation every single day.
Here’s a summary of the feedback you’ve shared, grouped by topic.

💛 Positive Reactions to the Update
Funeral Feature

This was one of the most anticipated updates! Many of you said you were grateful it’s now part of the base game — and some were surprised it arrived earlier than expected.
But really, I should be the one thanking you. Without your enthusiasm, I wouldn’t be able to create and share this experience at all.

There were also many detailed requests, like tombstone inscriptions, coffin colors, and inheritance systems. Some even suggested “relationships continuing after death.”
There’s still a lot to improve, but as they say — you can walk around the Earth in four years, so if we just keep moving forward, inZOI will definitely keep getting better.

Dancing Together

Now, when there’s an event at a club, your ZOI can go there and dance together with others!
Previously, many of you mentioned that the clubs felt too empty and that ZOIs seemed lonely — so we rushed to fix that.
You’ll now see a lot more ZOIs appearing naturally around you.
We’re also planning to make it so that running a club or a business well will attract more visitors.
Many of you said the clubs now feel much more alive, which made us really happy.

Direct Inventory Sales

The reaction was basically: “Finally!!” 😂
Reading your comments made me both proud and a little embarrassed — but thank you so much for the excitement.
We’ll keep adding more quality-of-life improvements.
It’s always fun to work on things that make life a little easier for you all.

Relationship System

We added the “Cancel Engagement” option this time. Many of you wanted this to happen face-to-face, but for now, it’s done through text.
Other ideas included “Phone Number Exchange,” “Chemistry System,” and “Improved Romantic Desires.”
We could really feel how deeply invested everyone is in the relationship gameplay!
There were also great suggestions like proposals, breakups, reunions, and coming-out events — all of which help shape development.

⚙️ Requests for Gameplay System Improvements
Clubs & Public Spaces

The most mentioned topic this week — many of you asked for bartenders, DJs, and bouncers at clubs.
You also wanted ZOIs to dance or order drinks on their own.
For public spaces, you said you’d love to see “a lively city instead of empty places.”
You’re hoping to meet other ZOIs naturally in gyms, wedding halls, or restaurants.

I completely agree — this is essential.
We want the city to feel alive, with working venues like theaters, subways, and restaurants that reflect emotions and context through animation.
There were also suggestions to control “City Stability (Crime Rate)” and add seasonal changes — spring rain, autumn leaves, winter snow.
You also asked for more locations like salons, hospitals, toy shops, and fire stations, plus making decorative objects actually functional.

Recently, we’ve been changing our development approach: creating tools that both developers and players can use.
If this works well, we’ll be able to develop these systems much faster.
I’ll make sure your voices reach the dev team — with both encouragement and a little friendly pressure. 🎃

Family & Daily Life

Many players wanted deeper family interactions — shared meals, family conversations, and stronger parent-child relationships.
You also asked for clearer age stages, from infants to teens, and had great ideas like resizing babies, adding baby toys, and holding school events.
To make these interactions smoother, we’ll first need to develop group movement, so that multiple ZOIs can act together.

Building System

Requests included curved walls, platforms, and swimming pools.
Progress here is a bit slower since the team is focused on optimization — but the results are looking good!
Once building becomes more efficient, we’ll be able to fill the city with more locations and speed up development overall.
We’re also shifting our workflow so that both players and developers can use the same creation tools — this should make updates faster and more creative for everyone.
Honestly, I wish we had done it this way from the start. I guess I’m still a beginner in this genre. 😄
We also plan to add underground and terrain editing — please be patient with us!

Fashion & Character Customization

You shared tons of suggestions — fashion, hairstyles, objects, hobbies, and new places!
Requests included menswear, children’s outfits, unisex options, and historical clothing — we’ll start working on those for December.
There were also ideas for unique voices, walking styles, traits, and height differences.
We’ll consider those as well.
Other feedback asked for more casual outfits, loose pants, crop tops, and a wider variety of everyday clothes.
We also loved the ideas for 1960s–1990s outfits and a transparency slider for clothing.
Many of you asked for genetic mixing, preset saving, and more creative freedom — we’ll do our best to support that.

Optimization & Bug Fixes

Optimization is our top priority.
We’re seeing some progress in the October update, and we’re testing new techniques to push it further.
We’re also planning to upgrade to Unreal Engine this December for even better performance.
The inZOI team and our partner studios are working incredibly hard on this — and I’m really proud of them. 😄

There were also requests for GeForce Now support and scripting mod tools.
I’ll admit — I might have made a wrong call earlier by focusing on detailed modding first instead of scripting.
That’s on me.
Now, we’re making scripting mods our main focus.

We also got ideas like a cloud-based texture library and other creative environment tools — love it!

Other Ideas

So many cool ones — workout routines, injury systems, protein shakes!
There were also requests for door access rules by ZOI type, group, age, or gender — now possible thanks to our new ownership system.
Some of you also suggested guards, dress codes, and more control in public places.

We’ll be improving the car parking system too — though you might only be able to park one car at a time.
Swimming AI will also be upgraded so ZOIs can swim automatically.
We’re adding a calendar system to manage holidays and events — planned for December.

Thanks for also thinking about details like sleep patterns, family sleeping together, memories, travel, cooking, arrest animations, and real estate!
Some of you even proposed expanding the “Bubbly” social network, adding dating apps, and screening real movies in theaters 🍿 — I’d love to make that happen someday!

💬 Gratitude & Reflections

Many of you also left warm messages like, “Thank you for communicating with us,” “Take care of your health,” and “Don’t burn out.”
Those words mean the world to us. 💛

And one comment really stayed with me:

“Don’t try to include every piece of feedback. Keep inZOI’s unique vision alive.”

That’s exactly what I plan to do — to listen to you all, but never lose the essence of inZOI.
And between us… I’m secretly working on three entirely new features right now. (Oops, I just said it out loud.)

Every seed in this world blooms in its own time, with its own beauty and scent.
inZOI will do the same — slowly, but surely, in its own unique way. 🌸

With the family interactions, please consider adding an extensive family tree. I am a casual player and this is what breaks immersion for me and what I would be most excited about.

I want to be able to click on characters in a tree and see if they are a great grandmother, an uncle, and such! Be able to track my family’s history extensively as to not forget the wonderful memories of them generations later.

And for current Zois: to still recognize these relationships when interacting, even if the extended family is spread across the map in different lots.

I did not see this in the family relationships write up and wanted to deliver awareness to the many upvotes on the topic. Thank you!

I am loving these more regular Kjun updates! Your hard work and dedication warms my heart Inzoi Team! ❤️ I do worry we are asking for too much though when it is all listed out but I am sure you guys have everything under control. As an (almost daily Inzoi player 300+ hours) I would like the most important things to me are - story telling, making the world more lively, family trees and family gameplay, authentic dynamic relationships and fleshed out careers. We haven't spoken much about careers I really hope they are able to improve the Kpop and fireman careers in the base game. Kpop currently feels like just an office job, and all the jobs feel kinda similar to be fair (except the part-time jobs I think those have been done well tending to a shop feels very realistic) but the big careers jobs don't feel challenging, unique or realistic.

YESSS I absolutely would be over the moon for functional theaters and restaurants, especially since I’ve seen a few decorative restaurants I’d like to see become functional. For example, there’s this Indian cuisine in bliss bay I think that I’d love to see opened up along with many others

it would also be great if skincare was possible esp of teenagers could develop acne and use the skin care to treat it. Could we also get rid of the grey outline underneath swimsuits? Someone mentioned here before bringing back the extreme apocalypse setting and i think that would be great if readded! Also sometimes i feel like when driving i get pretty lost even if the icons are there. Im wondering if a minimap in the bottom of the screen or a GPS could be implemented alongside a radio system

Some also mentioned that the club dances felt childish and unrealistic, could we get some more club dances? Instead of jumping around wildly (which would be better suited for a concert) clubs would have things like mini dance circles, etc. An injury system in game would be amazing and feel so realistic, and it could play out similarly to another sim called Project Zomboid.
I’m also really happy to hear the car parking may be functional, however I still wonder why it is that certain games with cars can have 20+ people parking theirs and this one can’t? Not a developer so just for me it’s hard to imagine why.
Would LOVE to see bubbly’s social network expanded and dating (being a social media influencer or celebrity fame would be amazing)

I imagine it's because Inzoi has a lot more animations that involve characters directly interacting with each other. At the moment, each of those animations will be designed to work with characters of a fixed height. Making height sliders work would mean that all those animations, not just some, have to be modified to work with characters of any height. I'm not saying this is impossible, but it would clearly take an awful lot of work.

I am always glady surprised with each update, the communication from Kjun and the team is not only amazing and quite te exercise in transparency, but also it shows how much they listen to the community not only in here, but at the forums as well. I am very curious about sharing the dev tools with us, and more than happy to see he aknowledged** even the Bubbly App which is... well, an amazing idea. Now, I still would love a comment about the Rundown "issue", but I wonder if Kjun is not commenting on it whether they have something planned regarding this for the future... lets see. I'm very happy with this new message and the communication channel between Kjun and all players.
I'll leave you with three wishes I have, as a rotational and legacy player:

  • being able to save our families so they can be reused in new saves.
  • being able to start a new save by choosing from existing families without having to create one.
  • being able to play with the same save in all cities, rotating families.
    I'd love to have my descendants spread across various cities.

Dear Kjun,

✨ InZoi has a huge following here in Turkey, and we have an active campaign on Steam.
Many thousands of players are asking for a ‘’Turkish language option’’ to be added to the game. You can see many of these requests in the Steam Discussions section.

✨ Another important request — please consider adding Hotkey Customization and the ability to control the camera movement with WASD or arrow keys in the upcoming October update.
Since InZoi is a life simulation game, this kind of camera control feels natural for us. As players who have been in The Sims community for over 25 years, we’re used to moving the camera with WASD or arrow keys instead of only relying on the mouse.
It would mean a lot to have this option in InZoi, especially with the October update.

WASD / Arrow Key Options
Many requested the ability to use the WASD or arrow keys for camera movement instead of character control. This seems to be a common concern among players who find direct keyboard control awkward.
Some suggested adding a specific key (for example, U) to toggle between “Character Movement” and “Camera Movement.” We’ll review this toggle option internally within the development team. However, several players also emphasized that WASD character control is a core immersion feature that makes inZOI unique, so it shouldn’t be removed — only provided as an option. We completely agree and will continue to refine WASD controls as one of inZOI’s key strengths.

Personally, I constantly use direct control because I spend 90%+ of my time playing other games, don’t want to change input, and there’s still a huge audience inZOI has yet to reach beyond simmers, just make it feel familiar for different types of players, and everyone will be happy 🙂

More height options would be amazing though not an top priority at the moment for me. Voice variety wound be nice especially tone and accents. I will always be team males need more stuff men characters and players are always ignored in games like this and get half the content if that even though in Sims 40% of the players are men I'd assume InZOI would be about the same we're here, so I love to see you mention the men need more clothes and we absolutely need more hair variety too especially more diverse styles that work with other ethnicities that are not Korean/African the only styles the game offers so far in early access with its realistic art style. Love all the changes so far keep up all the good work its crazy seeing a Dev team that really seems to care going to try the clubs for sure when the patch comes out.

Personally another thing I wanted to see more of is some vocal variety, while I don't mind the default voice options, I do wanna hear more tones and pitches of characters so nothing sounds the same, i don't know who you guys pick to voice the gibberish/"zoi"lish lines, but having more options with voice variety would make characters more unique than sounding the same, I know someone above has mentioned this, but i thought i second this

I could go through and say "this is exciting, that is exciting," but I'll stick to just the biggest highlights for me. I'm thrilled to hear that genetic mixing is something you'll try to support. I always enjoy romance and family gameplay, and with a genetics system in place, it'll make multigenerational families even more fun to play! Currently, I see blends of features from the parents in their children, and I'm hoping it would be possible to have dominant and recessive genes, making it possible for a grandchild to inherit a grandparent's eye colour (or something else) even if the parent didn't express that trait—they just carried it as a recessive gene that happened to get passed to the new baby. Those type of surprises always made multigenerational families fun in The Sims 2, and the inZOI team would make it that much more fun!

With all the mods already on Canvas, and many more to come when more things can be modded, I beg you 🙏 please make it so we don't see modded content on Canvas unless/until we intentionally change a setting! I don't enjoy seeing all the risqué items on Canvas all the time. 😬 (See screenshots below.) I don't enjoy looking for a new zoi and finding so many with hair and outfit mods. With build item modding, it'll only get worse!

I don't want any mods in my game.

Please add a marking to all items with mods so we can filter them out, or look for mods if we want to.

I read that twins are possible in the game, but I haven't been able to find any posts of people saying their zoi had twins. It doesn't matter to me if a pre-made family has twins or triplets. I want to know that it's possible for my zois!

In fact, I'd like the potential for fraternal and identical twins. If the mother will have twins, there should be a 33% chance she'll have identical twins. That would be so fun! They could have totally different personalities, yet look exactly the same.

In real life, the odds of having twins is around 1 in 250 pregnancies. Triplets occur in 1 in 10,000 pregnancies! 😮 But both would be so fun to experience!!!

Perhaps when there's a pregnancy, there's a chance to have multiples and if that result is true, then extra calculations to sort out if it's twins or triplets, and the issue of identical vs fraternal twins and triplets.

Triplets
Fraternal triplets occur in about 80% or more of triplet pregnancies.
Mixed (two identical, one fraternal) is uncommon, but possible, though I couldn't find odds online
Identical triplets are extremely rare (1 in 200 million pregnancies)

Imagine how blown away a player would feel upon discovering their triplets are actually identical! 😮 😎 👌

EDIT: I want the inZOI odds to be better than in real life because it would be so fun for players to have these surprises. Rare, but not so rare that a player will never experience it after playing regularly for years. And of course, the chances of multiples are much higher when the birth is arranged using the computer to create a family! Fertility treatments often lead to multiples (though almost always fraternal).

Well, genetics is a part of life simulators that interests me a lot.
It would be nice to know which genes are dominant and which are recessive. One of my red-haired Zoi married a brown-haired Zoi and had two of her four children with red hair, which should be a recessive gene.
I agree with those who ask for the Canvas ads to be removed from the home screen. They're also repetitive and always show the same content.
Also, the mod name should be indicated in the Caz when I hover over it. I start creating an outfit by looking at the texture, then I search among the downloaded outfits for the most suitable one. Then I have to close the Caz and go to MOD to figure out which one I used; some are very similar, and sometimes it's not easy. But if I don't indicate the Mod, those who download on Canvas won't know which one to download to get my outfit.
The best thing would be if, when downloading on Canvas, I'd be asked if I wanted to download the relevant mods, and if so, they could do so directly, because the whole process is quite cumbersome now.
I'm writing everything in one post because Slowmode doesn't allow messages for a while and this is a mechanism that makes it difficult to vote.

Genetics are awesome for me, too! I don't think it should go by real-world recessive and dominant genes, though, because we can make very unique colour combinations in CAZ.

I remember in Sims 2, when you created a sim, it would automatically assign dominant or recessive to each facial region (you could only see it by looking with a 3rd party tool), and they had a controlled list of eye and hair colours. That made it easy for the game to have assigned values for the eye and hair colours that easily correspond to real-world genetics, but inZOI gives us complete freedom with hair and eye colours.

We can make a zoi with pure white hair and purple eyes. If they have children with a zoi who has brown hair and brown eyes, the brown hair and eyes shouldn't be dominant just because of the real world, in my opinion.

It would most likely work the best/easiest if it was like TS2 for facial regions and also hair and eye colours, in that when you create your zoi, all their genetic attributes are assigned as dominant or recessive. (Skin type and tone too, I forgot. My zois have inherited combinations of these from the parents, and one got a random skin tone similar to everyone else, but not identical.)

That would mean any of our custom eyes, hair colours, skin type, and skin tone could be marked as dominant regardless of real life. I'd love that a lot.

If you create 2 families with a white-haired parent, it could mean one family has a child with white hair as a recessive gene, yet another family has a child who got white hair as a dominant gene, because the dominance is set per zoi and when they are created. Born-in-game zois would inherit their genetic features based entirely on the values assigned to their parents' genetics traits (if they are dominant or recessive).

I hope that didn't get too confusing. 😅

One other support would love to see in Dec… I am bopping through Canvas right now and desperately need more filter options and search. If I am looking for a house of my current lot size, I have to click into every creation to figure out if it is the right size and bedrooms. Could you please provide a filter based on lot size and maybe even display the bed and bath count on the display image in the small icons?

I don't much care for voice and walk styles as priority. Maybe later down the line sure. I do feel the canvas and build mode filter are a must. It really is getting harder to find what you are looking for especially since there is no way to filter on lot sizes or filter on modded/not modded cc in canvas

Also Im in agreement with the removal of the in-game canvas popups. It's repetitive and a bit annoying.

Saw a video of a sims (modded) gameplay where a sim got pregnant, one wanted the baby and the other didn’t. This led to moodles like a sadness for the zoi who was pregnant knowing that their partner was excited about the baby but they were dreading it. This is just an example of the depth that gameplay in lifesims should have — and I really hope InZoi continues to reach that level expanding past to various different types of interactions and feelings for zois (maybe regretting the life path they took, suddenly missing a family member after seeing a photo with them in the house, etc etc)

i would like to see karma organized in more of a way of reputation. good reputation will have people waving at you and smiling when they see you, the ability to host certain parties, while a bad one may have people with good reputations being afraid or disdainful toward you, with the ability to host types of parties or events attended by other zois with bad karma/reputation. fame level also affects the way people react to and understand your reputation, as you could have a bad karma and still have a good reputation depending on how you act around certain people vs behind closed doors

-we love to see zoi with their phone sitting in the corner of cafee, in reallife people tend to see their phone in very long time, so implement it on to zoi is a good idea (no time limit seated with phone)

I think height differences are a bad idea. How will you create lots of new animations and interactions if you need to account for height of different zois? How will zois be able to walk hand in hand when they go out together? Also, that makes it difficult to impossible for modders to create new animations and interactions. Also, I'd like to ask why modding in new animations was removed from the October modding update and there's no mention of it at all. You talk about script mods being delayed but say nothing as to why creating interactions was removed. This doesn't have anything to do with the idea of height differences, does it? And if you never allow modding of new interactions and animations because of height differences, then this would be the most disappointing news to me.

It is generally difficult to drive and I think I know why - the camera mode may be the major issue, as it is far away (zooms out once you get in the vehicle), turns sharply and doesn’t smoothly follow the car’s angle behind. Please change it, so it follows more third-person driving camera standards. It would massively improve the experience (comfort, immersion, 'physics' feel) and this should be a relatively small adjustment in Unreal. Car driving could possibly use smoother turning angles, motorbike driving sharper

I think the words that pop up above the ghost’s head when you talk to them goes away too fast. Is there a way we can have it be like the pop up? Or maybe can we have a way to track stories or reread what a Ghost or other zois has told us? Like some kind of journal or story tracker, so we can reread what happened or what was said to us, where us the players can inform ourselves on if we missed the details.

I'm very happy that greater differentiation between age groups is being considered. I have pre-teen and teenager children in more than one family, and I really struggle to distinguish them. While the gap between children and pre-teens is too marked, it doesn't reflect reality. Adults seem too old.

Regarding kiosks, they're still very rare in Italy. They're present in the food courts of some supermarkets and airports, but absent from all other restaurants and bars. The same is true in the Southern European countries I've visited. Restaurants all have table service, unless they're self-service, but they're considered low-quality.

As someone has already mentioned, I continue to ask for the possibility of traveling between cities and saving families so they're available for new matches.
