#RenoDX: Windblown

Dead Cells developers living up to high expectations. โจ
Glad that the mod exists for the game, looking so good.
game and the addon working together great with SK all at the same time
SK as dxgi.dll and ReShade as ReShade64.dll seems to always work for me with RenoDX mods
the effect of the different hue processors is more powerful here than in other games when so many pastel tones are used
the LUT is also quite dominant, even rolling the strength of it back slightly completely changes the look (for the better, IMO)
from my testing of what I've seen so far from the first two levels using many different combinations of settings the most pleasing results seem to come from taking the LUT strength down to about 75~ and blowout to 35~
seems because of how generally bright the game is overall it's really sensitive to the blowout slider
just reached him for the first time actually ๐ can't wait to see more
very happy with the results of the mod though, all the control is there
Just want to say thank you for this, started playing this game over the holiday break and this is a fantastic addition.
Have to mess with the setting Nx mentioned a bit, looks pretty good out of the box to my eye but I did have to increase the peak brightness a bit further to get 1000 nit highlights.
As always, appreciate all the cool stuff going on in this server ๐
Colours looking fantastic with the new options.
Hey, messing around with the latest update. Found an interesting behavior, not sure if it's intentional. UI slider massively effects the overall brightness of the image.
First image is the default, 203 nit UI brightness. Second is at the lowest, 48 value. The actual brightness of the UI seems to stay about the same as well?
Screenshots with the settings.
lol, thought so maybe but I have a pathological fear of being rude and I appreciate this mod a lot haha.
Well, that certainly brightens the image up a bit ๐ .
Yeah, on 6.3.3. Just downloaded it again and re-installed Reshade + the add-on, same deal.
Take back the UI slider not changing UI elements too, definitely is doing something there too but not so much in the screenshot I sent earlier. Can see it a lot in the text for the title. Same behavior with overall brightness though.
Default/Minimum UI brightness.
It just seems to only effect the main menu @limpid frost.
but now when I entered the game, moved all the sliders around into new positions (I guess since it updates and redefines new settings?) everything works again like normal
I suppose then if that's the case, it would only be a glitch for people who are going from an older version to a newer one
at first attempt, the UI brightness slider was indeed working like a paperwhite setting (main menu) and the actual paperwhite setting didn't do anything
yeah I didn't even notice it as being a problem until I tried to reproduce what Errant mentioned, everything works great as far as I can see ๐
Here's my Reshade.log
Now that you mention it I think I do, not sure how or why that happened. Perhaps on the re-install.
I can mess around with that and send another log later if it helps, just got off the computer for a bit
I checked relaunching the game, behaviour is now correct between sessions on the main menu.
Gladly, thanks for making it. ๐
New log, removed the other Reshade.ini. Same behaviors as before for me.
Totally workable/looks good once in-game and adjusted for me so if it's just a cursed thing on my end no biggie
The game is in such a great place now after recent updates. ๐
Performances / Options - Upscaling support added (using AMD FSR 1.0), including on Steam Deck.
Aw sh*t, here we go again...
Smells like trouble haha
I never got FSR1 to work in any Unity game. Broken decompilation and source code is insanely complicated.
So uh, I guess I'll try again, but very likely just won't be able to support it.
No FSR1 support yet, just some experimentation with game's internal LUT.
Should be a bit more colorful due to not relying on "Upgrade Tonemap" anymore.
