#Urgent Refund Request – Incomplete and Failed Voice Generation on Cartesia

Dear Cartesia Support Team,

I’m reaching out regarding a serious issue with your platform’s voice generation service. We subscribed to Cartesia and selected a premium voice, paying $300 for one of your higher-tier plans. We then submitted several long-form texts for synthesis — each approximately one to two hours in length.

Unfortunately, the synthesis process stalled for an entire day and night without producing any usable results. Despite no visible progress, credits were continuously deducted. By the next morning, only one file appeared to be processed, and it took over five minutes just to download. When we finally listened, it contained only 14 minutes of audio — a fraction of the submitted material.

Even worse, the credit usage history shows we were charged as if eight two-hour stories had been fully generated, but in reality, none of the stories were completed, and no final products were delivered. We also tried different synthesis modes and configurations, but nothing worked.

Given the lack of usable output, the excessive and inaccurate credit deductions, and the disruption this caused to our project timeline, we are formally requesting a full refund of the $300 payment.

We trusted Cartesia for high-quality voice generation and are very disappointed by the outcome. We hope you will address this matter quickly and fairly.

Hey @rain ocean - sorry to hear that happened. We’ll trigger a refund shortly and take a look at what might have happened here, that’s obviously unacceptable. I’ll follow up when the refunds been triggered and again when we debug what’s occurred. CC: @gleaming sun @limpid yoke
