Light Emden was a Dresden-class light cruiser who didn't last long in WW2, where she was station around German colonies in East Asia, where she was clapped by the HMAS Sydney and ran aground in the Cocos Islands to avoid capture. Dark Emden was a Konigsberg-class cruiser who participated in Operation Albion and other raids/patrols around the North Sea against the Royal Navy before being interned to Scarpa Float.
