Use RVC
its not about rvc you know i am asking for a friend who is not into tech that much so weights was a cool alternative but sadly its gone i wanna help her but idk if there is even an alternative
There's tutorials
RVC is literally the best way and what weights.gg and other sites use
Does your friend have a good PC GPU? (can be checked into task manager, opened by ctrl+shift+esc and in the performance tab there should be a GPU one)
You should do AI Covers or Images everyday on Weights to get 5 Streaks for free training
Or just wait for Astra Labs' future website for alternative for Weights if you want easier way for AI Covers or generating Images
I'd suggest a kaggle notebook for training https://rentry.co/RVC-Mainline-Kaggle
This guide for Mainline Kaggle is an alternative option to the Mainline Colab notebook for training voice models
It is complete and should walk you through every step of the way since Kaggle has a difficult learning curve. However, it will be updated constantly since new updates to the notebook w...
also note that the training is an intensive task that may take from half hours to a few hours in a session, unlike inference. so, it would occupy some of their limited gpu resources. just think of a number of available seats in an internet cafe.
okay but the gpu is not good enough tho, are there collab alternatives?
refer to my comment before #1271928159905906730 message
(you mean the weights.gg's GPU is weak?)
No I mean you meant train locally right? But the GPU on both my CPU and friends is ain't good
wait wait so it isnt local its cloud based?
@feral solar
I'm sorry for ignoring that entirely xd
idk how strong the weights.gg's GPU, but that kaggle notebook uses 2x T4 GPU (compared to colab's single T4)
hopefully its good enough to train i will test it soon
thank you atri
bro can i add you as friend tho?
well i cant ://
@feral solar
sorry if my mood isn't okay rn, but well
