GPUs for RVC local training?

I currently have RTX 2080 Ti, however I’m looking to upgrade?

Does having the same GPU/SLI work with Ai training?

I was looking into getting the 3000 series like 3090/3090ti, however the 4070 Ti performance is slightly better, even with less VRAM?

I have a benchmark the closest I could find for AI training.

Any suggestions?

• how much VRAM do you want?
• 12 gb: 4070 (the Ti one is phased out)
• 16 gb: 4060 Ti, 4070 Ti super
• you can get 3090 for beefy 24 gb in decent used pricing but it's power hungry
• 8 gb VRAM is enough for batch size 8, or 12+ gb for batch size 16

As far as power consumption, I can undervolt it, if it becomes an issue?

it doesn't noticably change the perf/watt when comparing to the said 40-series cards, unless you don't really care about the performance itself

and read what I said above, 8-12 gb VRAM is enough for most RVC training

16 gb is also more than enough for most consumer workloads & high-end gaming

no idea, though you can theoretically assume it proportionally scales to the power limit
