Concerning comment

A youtuber commented on one of my AI covers, saying the following (everything is transcribed as it was originally typed):

You might not realise it but this is theft, voice actors should be paid for the use of there voice, imagine someone created an exact replica of your arms and made them do your job for free,

I asked if this could get me a copyright strike, and the response was:

no technically there is no regulation on the use of AI because it is new technology, but just because something is legal doesn't make it ethical, like for example : in lebanon it used to be legal for a rapist to marry his victim to escape punishment, but just because the law said its ok doesn't make it less morality wrong

I asked if I should delete the video. They said that it was my decision, but that I should delete it.
What should I do?

First and foremost, this is your decision. If you want to delete it or not, you decide.

But, in my honest opinion, AI covers are literally the least harmful content possible with voice cloning. It's not like you're using said tool to "replace" voice actors as the person commented, you're just... making an AI cover of a song.

And they are right about questioning the ethical part of it, it's very meh, especially when used to replace VAs without paying them anything. However, most people's uses are personal and just for pure fun. I would not be mad if I were a VA and somebody made me sing a random funny song... maybe slightly scared but that's just something personal.

Also, you're not even... making money out of it? If it's for personal use, imo, it should be allowed. Anything else should be discussed with VAs. That's my take on it, but ofc what matters is your opinion here. I say, you shouldn't really take it down, unless VA doesn't approve it.
