Well, looking at that Daisuke I can give you some tips on how to improve it:
1: Learn better face anatomy. This way of drawing faces is often called an "artstyle" but it's often just a lack of skill
2: when changing tone to a brighter or darker color also hue shift
3: use colored outlines instead of black
Tbh I only drew a mouthwashing character once and it was curly. Sadly I never finished this one
