Beers are terrible in multiplayer. The best thing about beers is that they are able to safely end rounds WHILE keeping your turn. For some reason, this does not apply in multiplayer and the only reason to ever use a beer is to make it so if lets say there are 6 shells and you go first, you use the beer so you shoot, someone else shoots, someone else shoots, someone else shoots, and then you shoot which goes to next loadout which rarely if ever happens at all. Beers SHOULD be a way to end the round AND put yourself in a extra shot advantage(what I was talking about earlier.) Without the other option with beer, the item which is already underpowered just simply becomes unusable. (I understand there are other posts for this, but my post atleast has some information on why it should be this way and not how it currently is right now.)

Well, there are good and bad items (and the broken ones, specially the Jammer and the Adrenaline). But you can still use it in combo with the telephone.

beers let you skip shells without actually shooting anyone and they can help even or balance the odds in either direction + they work well with phones as mentioned above

well you only keep your turn if you shoot yourself with a blank, only reason beer lets you go again in singleplayer is because you get the first turn anyway

what if no phone? beers generally can combo with items but the problem is sometimes you dont get those items. (I have bad luck so i dont really get to combo with beer often) but the issue is i want to be able to end the round safely with it like it does in single player. Overall there is no reason to use beer unless you either have a phone and are alerted of a shell that is either clsoe to you or you know you can get to later using the beer, or if you can help end a round with it and not use it as the final nail in the coffin for ending the round. beer is generally pretty bad under most circumstances.
your second point, beers can just let you skip shells... if its a live you just missed out on possibly a potential elimination from the round. Using it by itself is more likely to be a detriment to you unless you have something like 4 blanks or 3 lives or a situation where more blanks are there than lives.
my opinion has been swayed slightly but I still think beers are generally not a great item. Especially when you get nothing to help with it and get 3452345 beers in one loadout.
