#Remove the Inverter from MP

The one item I was praying wouldn't be brought over to MP was the Inverter. In singleplayer, it's perfectly fine. Getting the Inverter can gurantee you either a continued turn or a live round which is fine in singleplayer as the AI's feelings aren't hurt or anything by you using such a cheap tactic. However in MP, it's utter bullshit. What's the point of gambling if I can just use a magnifying glass and then invert it if it's not a live?

As someone who personally loves using the inverter, I think it's way too overpowered for MP games. Idk how many games I get like 3-4 of them and will just spam them to immensely increase the odds of blanks, skipping everyone's turn and continuing next reload. It's insanely unfair. Should be either completely removed or have insanely rare odds of being chosen.

Agreed. I’ve played exclusively with my friends—no public games yet—and even then the inverter use is crazy. It can turn a 50/50 into a lethal game for you without you being able to even do anything. Brutal. Otherwise, incredibly fun!

"...many games I get like 3-4 of them and will just spam them..."

So the problem is not the item itself, but rather how common it is.
Just make the item extremely rare. No need to remove it. Overpowered items are fine if they are rare.

I get what you're saying and how it could be broken.
If they were changed to be unusable after using the magnifying glass then they would be slightly more balanced.
I did win a game with an inverter where I couldn't find out what was in the chamber, so it can be useful there without being unbalanced.

Yeah the inverter can be fair under the wrong circumstances. You can use it when there are 3 live and 2 blanks and gamble the likely odds that it's a live to ensure it turns into a blank, accidentally invert a blank, and shoot yourself with a live as a result. I've done that plenty of times lol. But combined with the magnifying glass specifically is a major cause of the problem, yes. Still inverting a round is just super op either way.

Here's an idea (that I maybe haven't fully thought through):

Instead of inverting the polarity of a shell, swap the current shell with the last shell. Of course the user wouldn't know what the shell was swapped into without using a magnifying glass afterwards.
And if there is only one shell, the item doesn't do anything, because it swaps with itself.
