Boring when you’re dead

Often times when you die in multiplayer the rounds can take a while. There’s not much you can do but wait or disconnect to find another lobby to join, which isn’t fun for anyone. Something small to do well you wait would be fun. Like how in Splatoon 1 you could play a game on the gamepad well you waited for your lobby to be full. Just something to do in-between rounds would be nice even if it’s a tiny arcade game.

Just being able to freelook with the camera would help a lot.

And the black and white color grading should fade out, so that the observer can still follow the game and recognize ejected shells' colors. Why not just show a text "You're dead" instead of a black&white shader which ruins shell color readability?

true, spectating can be fun with friends but in lobbies with randoms its just boring to spectate imo

Thankfully the game can continue to run stable in the background while you tab to something else, so I'd usually either go to the web or my phone if I wasn't following the match carefully after I died.

I do agree about the grey filter. I ended up turning on colorblind mode partly because you can still tell the shells apart that way in spectator compared to the red and blue shells.

I also make it a personal rule to not engage in gang-up behaviour since that makes them have to wait forever for the next round. If someone's getting ganged up on, I usually shoot at someone else to keep the match interesting, even if it means they just shift their focus onto me instead. I like being a wild card, lol.
