yeag it does that on 2 shells or less
the phone counts after the currently loaded shell and the others after, as opposed to the whole rack
the issue is that on SP it works fine "second shell blank" and on MP it only says "how unfortunate"
I think it was done as an intentional nerf for multiplayer to stop it from being a better spyglass when there's only 2 shells

no, the mag glass works for the current shell and the phone works for the next shell, it even works in single player like that, thus why i think is a bug
singleplayer is fine as we are playing against an ai, vs other people its not as fair given the already dogpiling strat players use vs 1 wounded. Phone working as a second glass would make things worse

I don’t know how that bug would happen though. The phone never says “how unfortunate” in single player so the only way it would say it multiplayer would be if it was programmed it
the phone does say "how unfortunate" on SP if you use it on the last shell it tells you "how unfortunate"
You learn something new every day. Still it would be weird for it to be bug and for the devs to not have fixed it by now
but they have not confirmed if it is a bug or a "feature" hopefully a bug but it still needs to be confirmed.
I personally prefer it as a feature. The phone is already a good item. Allowing it to also be a spyglass in 1L1B is a bit OP.
I will say though I do think the game should clarify the item differences between single and multiplayer so this confusion doesn’t happen
i just hope some dev says its a bug or a feature, simple as that.
