Keep in mind that the phone will count your current shot as the first shot, not the actual first shot as the first shot. It tripped me up too

sometimes i even had 5 phones at a time lol

and the worst part, they didnt fix the phone bug yet, so if you have 1B 1L the phone will say "how unfortunate" while in SP the phone will say "second shell live"

for mild context i used 2 phones back to back on the sane turn and it said

4th shell live

then the second phone said 4th blank

there aren't any limits to how many phones a player can have

for reference:

PlayerMax is how many of the item a single player can have, GlobalMax is how many of the item there can be at once on the board

64 and 8 basically means no limit

my player logs are far gone bc i played a lot more after this, i have pretty good internet for Brazil (country where i live and obviously play BR) i can still send them but doubt they will be useful

It's definitely the most useless item in the game right now.

Even the "How unfortunate" can mean anything. Sometimes it means blank, and sometimes real.

this reminds me of how i got the biggest waste of an item ever during MP, I thought about my 2nd phone possibly giving me more information so i pondered a bit and went for it and then it told me the shell...
that was 2 shells ago AKA the 3rd when the shotgun was on the 5th.

The phone works different in the MP mode since I've only gotten 3rd to 8th bullet predictions not the 2nd bullet you get in singleplayer, it's wasted if you use it while having 2 bullets left, you need minimum 3 bullets to have it predict.

I think you are confused about the info, what it give out as 3rd shell is the current one in the chamber of the gun being 1st shell then 2nd, so on...

It doesn't mean the 3rd shell from the start of the round.

Yea there is definitely a bug.
In one game there were 5 out of 6 shells already fired, and the phone told me about a third shell being blank. Useless phone.

Even the description of the burner phone talks about informing about the future, not about the past.

This is what we need: footage of the bug. I've seen multiple people reporting this issue but nobody actually providing evidence of it happening, so nobody can confirm the issue.
