So I'm not a pet training expert so don't take this as advice BUT I do believe they bite to get you to pull your hand away and defend their territory so if they bite and you push your hand further in instead they will learn that it is ineffective... this might work to make them bite less or even stop if it works well but i can't imagine it helps with making it more friendly...
