Shame the article writer is grifter hack with zero media literacy
Only view it for Headlands quotes
“That’s a good question,” replied the showrunner. “I haven’t been following the coverage of the show enough to really answer that. I did hear that there was a bit of a dust up in terms of the girls stepping on Anakin’s creation storyline, which I had mixed feelings about.”
“It’s probably for another deep dive to kind of talk about that,” she told Walsh. “I would say that you might be missing the forest for the trees in starting an argument about that, instead of seeing that this is a power that could have existed in the world way before Anakin. And that power was being pursued by someone. So it’s not an issue of ‘paying attention to,’ but I did hear about that, and I just think people aren’t taking into account the era that we’re in.”```
“It just seemed to me any power like that that does not belong to one faction,” explained the former assistant to Harvey Weinstein. “It is not something that Aniseya was born with either. It’s a power that belongs to the Force. And that it’s up to the practitioner to be able to understand and figure out and pull apart how do you harness that particular power.”
given the author brings up weinstien for no reason, absolutely
Literally anything that isn't a direct quote is pure ass lmao
i have my own thoughts about the weinstien thing
people only bring it up because either
they have no other criticism of her
the only other criticism of her that they have is basically homophobic and they dont wanna say that
besides, its extremely unprofessional
I was wondering why they did that. I'm surprised they stayed so neutral about the whole thing.
are these from the article?
I assume so
People bring it up without considering that
Maaaaybe she was also a victim?
Of course it's not something she's talked about so don't take it as fact
Yea so nobody has to read his awful subjective takes
Least funny tik tok I've watched in months
people also dont consider the fact that why would he tell her?
shit like what he did would be kept explicitly off the books and away from anyone else
That too
Claiming she didnt see anything for 6 years lmao
Damn it's almost like an abuser wouldn't want the person closest to his affairs to know he's diddling kids
That would never happen!
so deseperate to defend your slop
Nobody KNEW
So desperate to attack a show that you attack their previous jobs
Throw around huge accusations
What a scumbag
And women chime in on social media about being victims of sexual harassment or assault. Sharon Tay and Juan Fernandez report.
You god damn clown
She is an opportunist hack who leveraged her position to secure her job
Its so fucking obvious
Even more with the quality of acolyte
When did I defend acolyte in this conversation you little snowflake fuck
Everyone here knows it's mid
Okay grifter
Lets agree to disagree
Yeah everybody that disagree with you is a griftzr
No just you
You right carter
I hope I do make you feel embarrassed because clearly you're never gonna feel any
Honestly maybe if you get a false accusation of that level, you'd realise how embarrassed your mother would be that you made those accusations
You have actors and movie professionnal who had the creeps over a 4 min interaction with harvey but that girl worked for 6 years with him.
Don't you still glaze trump over Biden despite the many many pictures of him with Epstein lol
And she dare say « i didnt ser anything »
Where is the consistency
ok but if she knew
would she not have been tried as an accessory?
A lot of people worked with him for that long and came out and said they never knew
Nobody was tried as an accessory otherwise we would have to shutdown hollywood as a whole
dont look up which company helped produce tye LoTR trilogy
Leslie clearly ignored everything for the sake of her career
Harvey still had talent for producing great movies.
Despite « everything »
That's
Exactly how he got away with it
He was also a bully and very well connected
Using former mossad agent and shit
Bro was a menace
bro thinks that harvey just went "lesley, book 7pm for the 4 actresses i want to fuck"
if that was true he would've been tried like 15-2p years ago
You overestimate the justice system
Bcs you underestimate the level of corruption in los angeles
Between media, producer and civil powers
Hollywood used to be 50% mafia at some point
Yeah that's why you should start forming conspiracy theories and accusations that ruin lives
Fucking GENIUS
guilty until proven innocent mindset
Conspiracy theories lmaoo
Frrrr
She CLEARLY did this thing despite no hard evidence
107 testimonies of sexual assault
17 testimonies of r*pe
"bro she is innocent"
"how could she know"
i swear , its because of people like you that we will never get rid of this kind of scum
Former colleagues and collaborators of Weinstein told reporters that these activities were enabled by employees, associates and agents who set up these meetings, as well as lawyers and publicists who suppressed complaints with payments and threats.
She wasn't a 3 month intern. She worked there for S I X Y E A R S
Didn't say that
Never happened
You're so fucking desperate that you keep telling me things about Harvey that I already know
As if that changes a single thing about the scumbag accusations you're making without evidence on someone else
So you're gonna stop supporting Trump in any way too right? Because scum like this can't be allowed to exist? Because he was complacent?
But he knew them for years!
So many reports!
Fuck knows but you have done
My bro joe is almost dead
has been for months
but it was all "fake news" and "deep fake"
vice president trump
but finally when my dude is calling zelensky , Putin, in front of the all world
hard to deny now
fucking hypocrits
I dont care about the usa
but bro biden had a cold during the debate!!!!
Ez backpedal
BRO DID YOU JUST POST AN OCCUPY DEMOCRATS IMAGE
WHAT IS THIS, 2016???
Unfortunately the mercedes part is proven untrue
But it gets most of the buzz phrases
And yeah , trump is fucking enternaining
So is Leslie according to viewing figures
LOL
all trump needs to do is say he'll bring back the $5 footlond and he'll win all 270
yeah cool for the viewing figures
we will see how s2 goes
bcs we still waiting on sequel content right
since it was a success
No not really
Don't think anybody is. That tends to happen when you fully encapsulated the story
NR is still being explored a lot for pre sequels
remember to vote for mr frog in the US election
for you ability to overthing dogshit content
it's crazy to me that you find depth
in this shit
Bro I call them mid
Day in day out
They are not GOOD
But none of star wars is
The morons are the people expecting it
And it's not a slop thing, because I agree they're getting sloppy.. it's about having a piece of star wars for everyone
yeah
peakolyte vs slopsoka
In a franchise about hope... Nobody has any
i have given up personnaly
STAR WARS IS DEAD
i'll take what i can and ignore the rest
i didnt have the energy to bash the last episode
qimir is refreshing for a sith. It's not just "evil cuz evil"
god acolyte is TRASH and is going to KILL STAR WARS I hate it so much!
watches the next episode the second is releases
Look guys a super evil Inquisitor doing evil things!
Or Reva with the cliche of "bad but not actually bad"
I have to watch it fast , otherwise i get spoiled by those fcking rage baiter on twitter
Literally the only reason I watched GoT weekly lol
I don't enjoy it as much as others but I wasn't gonna get it spoiled
i knew something was up with Aemond
not so hard to get thing together
but still , the episode was good
vahgha a bit op in my opinion tho
bro got stealth maxed
Oh you talking HOTD?
yeah
I had a S7 excuse flashback I'm ngl lol
Bro hit the "teleport dragon" hotkey
I was fine with the rest but he's fucking huge wtf
HoTD spoilers without context
Lol
I got spoiled that they all died
Damn that would be so lame to get spoiled
Also I technically spoiled myself on Tech dying
I saw the tippy top of the thumbnail and remembered bad batch came out that day 😭
The gas is leaking? I got a solution
Solo dying on Christmas day for me
That's a rough spoiler
never got to see the movie until new years because i was out of town 😭🙏🏽
dude
I am getting second-hand embarrassment from whatz talking about the Harvey Weinstein situation
that reminds me of something someone in another server said
when theorising about stuff
where's the evidence that she knew about Weinstein?
So far all we have a first person testimonial that they saw nothing of that kind
this doesn't say shit about Leslie
from Headland?
Yup
and I assume her testimony was under oath?
Lol no
bro everyone knew about Weinstein
it was an open secret
Yet again, everybody "knew" but nobody KNEW
People joked about Bill Cosbys antics before
Did anybody know for sure? Plenty still didn't believe until it went public public
And where's the proof in that?
The first time he was accused of SA was 2017.
the sheer volume of stories from people throughout the industry
from the 90s into the 2000s
his reputation as a predator was widely known

this isnt news
hell even carrie fisher told stories about threatening him over an assult on someone she knew
There's this here
Wdym?
Headland has insisted she was never physically assaulted by Weinstein, nor did she ever witness any incidents; she didn't exactly have a pleasant time at Miramax, however.
https://screenrant.com/star-wars-the-acolyte-leslye-headland-controversial/
you dont have to witness incidents to know about Weinstein lmao
especially if she was in his working circle
everyone knew he was a predator they just dealt with it bc that was the industry and he was a very powerful player in Hollywood
What do you mean by this?
^
I'm asking about what you meant by it'd be common knowledge.
Common knowledge that weinsteins a creep
Wasn't it common knowledge?
Assuming this clip was from 2005
Nvm
Its pointless
I just read the early comments you made
You dont want to hear anything
Bcs there is nothign to engage
It was a open secret
She is guilty
End of the debate
Which I literally admitted to with my first ever words in the conversation
And multiple times
Exhausting clown
Alright good !
LOL
He's still trying to prove that the industry "knew"
But is unable to differentiate between "knew" and KNEW FOR A FACT
There is a big difference. If there wasn't a big difference then lie detectors would be usable in court.
I've also provided the argument that quite a few actors and other huge roles that have said how shocked they were and that they never knew and that he never brought up anything even close to that
It's crazy to me you could understand how much he's a crazy good manipulator and not think it's a possibility that he manipulated what Leslie saw
You have an entire wikipedia page dedicated to the case explaining the network weinstein used over the years to cover himself. From hollywood insiders such as agents, actors, producer to external agent such as former mossad agent who pressured accusers and silenced witnesses
Like Dominique Strauss-Khan
Or that british pedophile
Jimmy orville ?
Everybody knew for a FACT the monster he was
Thats why Ricky Gervais dunked on them so hard
If at least Leslie had to the ball to say « yeah i saw some thing but i was just an assistant with no power to do anything and i was afraid » at least that would have been understandable.
But lying to your teeth like that
« I didnt see anything »
Yeah okay
« I DIDNT KNOW ABOUT ANYTHING »
I appreciate the elaboration and sources, as it fleshes out your argument more but you still refuse to address the actual retort
There is also evidence of people having any and all knowledge of this having been hidden from them. Do you understand how perfect an alibi is that your assistant not knowing anything is?
Why would a master manipulator NOT consider that?
If we were talking about someone who worked from time to time with him or some outsider from Miramax. Yeah we could argue about what that person could really know.
She was his personnal assistant for 6 years. I mean, seeing the amount of victims. It is near impossible for her to not have seen anything.
The same case could be made about Roger Ailes from Fox News. Everybody that worked with him knew.
But he was protected by Murdoch because of the excellent results of Fox News. The same way Weinstein was protected by his reputation, connections, money and the enabling of his close coworkers such as Tarantino or famous actress that were fine with the « deal »
cough cough jennifer lawrence
If I give you ground and admit there's a high likelihood (higher than almost anyone else that we know of rn), will you give me ground that the legal system exists for a reason and you cannot say for certainty until there is a conviction
No ofc
Also as a side note, I've seen pretty crazy theories that trump got Epstein killed to protect his presidency lol
No
Im pretty sure Epstein was likely a mossad asset used to blackmail famous people
He wasnt on any "side"
just cultivating relations
It's just infuriating to see Disney pushing that girl while trying to give lesson about patriachy bad
I still think Cara was justified, but it does make it all look kinda silly lol
Yeah exactly
and on the other side cara get fired for some out of touch tweet
i mean come on
It's literally just Disney execs trying to overpush diversity. I will continue to defend that almost every one else in the chain doesn't give a shit like the execs do though
It's more that she wouldn't stop I reckon
Disney could plausible deniability but she just kept rage baiting
I took it as a W anyway because she's an awful actor
yeah true
Exactly this. He had it covered, so whether people entirely knew is up for debate.
I really hope you never work closely to a toxic individual
You'll see if you are really clueless to his behavior
There's no solid evidence that she knew.
Sure, it's likely that she did, but given how much of a manipulator he was (based on what I've heard), I wouldn't be surprised if she somehow didn't.
Not really clueless; just going off of what I see here.
harvey throttled someone. Harvey called an employee a fucking moron. Harvey threw the shoes, the book, the phone, the eggs. Harvey went to work with his shirt on inside-out and no one had the courage to tell him. If you fucking say anything to him, the assistant said to the other assistant, I’m dead.
“I always thought it was interesting that a lot of people who left Miramax either ended up running shit in Hollywood or became social workers,”
REALLY WONDER WHAT LESLIE CHOOSED 😉
There's a reason I've had many jobs
I cannot and will not keep my mouth shut
good man
I would be the first to get black listed from Hollywood lmao
I'm also just gonna use this a segue in to massive respect for Terry Crews calling the bullshit out immediately
And I'm beyond happy his career seems to have survived
If every actor did this, eventually it wouldn't work anymore
lol
Yeah but it's a very complex situation bcs more than often these toxic guys actually have talent. I think that was the issue at Ubisoft. Their biggest scumbag was actually the brain power behind their most successfull franchises
As an executive producer, Harvey has a hell of a run
genuinely hope the boys pulls through with its finale man
@hot parrot
If Leslie is #1 likely, he's looking like a very profitable prediction for #2
I'm worried that the finale is either gonna be rushed or feel convoluted, Im hoping for a satisfying conclusion
Honestly if rather some stuff is open ended for a chance of a s2
Me too
Like don't kill everyone please 😭🙏🙏
If it's a solid mystery landing and wraps up plot threads then imma call it a 7 for me
If not.. 6
Yeah I'm hoping to end with a 7
Fun, interesting watch but could've had much better presentation and execution
you know media literacy is dead when you have people going "why did she say the nightsisters dont train younglings? how do you explain ventress then?"
like bruh, did they even watch TCW?
If the nightsisters dont train youngling who the fuck does then
on an assumption, they dont train magic until they're adults/teenagers
but what we do know is that the jedi know fuck all about them
Yeah isn't like the youngest trained nightsister we've seen Morgan
And she wasn't that young tbh
force echos merrin
True
Leslie Headland says that Yord Fandar was a character from one of her old TTRPG games
That's cute
Lol
Acolyte finale tomorrow
I thought it was today
The show has had its ups and downs but personally I wish they focused more on the sith than the jedi
All the marketing and shit made me think it was a sith-oriented show
Today at 9pm est
Which is tomorrow for other people
Yeee
HES IN
||I saw him in the cave PLEASE show up later||
Damn
That Yoda cameo sucked so bad, otherwise episode was good
Overall better than BOBF and Kenobi at least
Bro looks crazy… love it
They made him creepy as hell
Yeah
What the dark side does to a mf
Now that is really a good depiction of a sith lord I feel, well more specifically plag ofc
But yeah
I mean that is truly what I imagine the dark side brings
Just like how Palps and ani got deformed but that’s maybe a little different
Timestamp?
its very early in the episode
holy hell how did i miss that scene
Mf was holding the skip 10 secs button
i was focused on the space ship i think
alright final ranking of the show
im gonna say....maybe a 7/10?
I'm suprised that they went through with the commitment to show the dark side in a "good" light
seems like a pretty solid rating tbh, wouldnt give it much higher. maybe a 7.5, i quite liked it
its a decent show
that bleeding kyber crystal was fire 😭🙏🏽
That was sick yeah
it shall be interesting knowing theyre on the same island as Plagueis
maybe plagueis keeping tabs on a failed apprentice? he could be curious to see how things are going, especially if 'how things are going' turns out to be a threat
Damn that was a crazy tease
I kinda feel bad for Sol no lie 💀
Plag looks metal and beyond creepy
anyone got a gif yet?
Bro did that little beaver crash the ship intentionally? Or what the fuck was that
idfk whats up with the groundhog
Sol was making a big play to catch mae or something and he pulled the wires lmao
first he confronts mae. now he protects her. ???
goofy ass tracker
sol was flying the ship through a dense field of rocks, so... maybe he saved sol (and himself)
GRAHHHHHHHHHH
yuh lmao, him prioritizing his repulse ability was fire
like you really barely see that fr in fights
Lmao qimir flexing his jawline after sol got cap’d
So good man
Such a great build up wondering what he’s going to do
Goes for the ultimate chad cc
I really like the sequence when the twins were fighting and they were mirroring eachother’s attacks one after another
darth plagueis' goon cave
IF they do make another season it's definitely gonna and gotta be more about Plaguies figuring out about osha and mae's power right ? how else does he just want to recreate life and end up with the whole anakin shabang
SO GOOD SO GOOD

@turbid solar get in here, I think this might be what spending hours mewing in a sensory deprivation tank leads to
Ultimate strat
Bro has been Mogging this whole season
Lmao I love when qimir goes to console oshie and she’s just like “AND FUCK YOU TOOOO”
anyway here is a plagueis webm
Its jus a typical horse clench
Buddy been chewing bubble gum is all
Inb4 to see what bs the "how did the jedi not know the sith were coming back????" Mfs make up
sol died before he could reveal that Qimir is/was sith, and he was more interested in the force vergence on brendok, so i doubt he would've even thought it necessary in the first place
Now to see if disney even lets them make a s2
bleeding the kyber crystal that killed your mother and using it for yourself is pretty metal
interesting turn of events, sol was done dirty 😔
i genuinely wasn’t very interested in mae or osha until the fucking finale lmao, them finally being okay with being separate people somehow made them more interesting and/or likeable for me
So real
also do we have any other instances of crystals bleeding like that in live action or animation? or any detailed descriptions of a kyber crystal being bled? wondering if that blue to red transformation is canon/identical to how all other kyber crystals bleed
I don't think we've seen a kyber bled while the blade was active before
Jedi survivor has a saber bleeding scene
But the saber was inactive yeah
Just the crystal
I mean, 14yo me came up with something exactly like that during my cringe phase
😭😭😭
me switching blade colours for my many personalities and their own individual colours
and the way the crystal was bled does track with how the methods been described
Yeah its always been while inactive
like the crystal is practically watching the person it chose to wield it have the life choked out of him, while being held by the person force choking him, and in proximity to a force vergence
so acolyte is either creating lore or breaking lore
can’t wait for the videos crying regardless
just new lore
creating, and reinforcing the lore from the Vader comics
I didnt enjoy the show too much unfortunately
Fair
yeah the crystal itself changing colour i’ve seen before somewhere, but i’ve never seen the blade itself change like that which is why i was curious and asked about it here
when i saw the crystal go from red to blue i expected the blade to be red upon ignition, since, red crystal? but dramatics i guess
something taken out of a star wars novel?
novel as in new
ah okay
I mean she ignated the saber while the krystal was transforming
If she waited like 10secs it would have been immediately red
perhaps i rewatch, i assumed it went completely red
I think her turning the blade on Qimir completed the transformation, it stopped halfway after Sol died
bro got the timing down and everything
he knows
yeye we do be like that
the crystal does fight for its life during a bleeding iirc
so perhaps that blue to red shift was the crystal dying
it kinda is
yeah
nice
Kyber crystals are pretty much alive
correct
From a certain point of view
that's why I'm referring to the crystal as something that can react
kyber is likely a manifestation of the force in some way
so it makes sense that it can feel
outlaw bad
gib me upvote
.
FUCK
@heavy mulch will you help me reenact the prequels at an undetermined future date
you’re hit with the double whammy lmfao
both in the last episode, oof
This is gonna be fun for me
Yeah
Will you be the Padme to my anakin
I’ll let you know when it’s happening
I still have to watch this
Bro the fuck are you doing here
Waiting for Star Wars to die
This episode has one of the biggest SW spoilers of the decade legitimately
Go watch it
I’ll binge later
Lol wojak-pointing and EU bait aside, I'm surprised Plagueis is shown to be older here
This is set 100 years before TPM, meaning Plagueis is easily approaching 200 years old at the time of his death
I fuckin called it 😂. Now can we stop pretending this show doesn't fuck up the chosen one canon? Anakin was the force lashing back at plagueis and Palpatine for trying to create life but the force was totally cool with these witches doing it first. AND plagueis is creeping in the shadows and saw them doing it all?
Come on man 😂
I tried to give this show a chance but the exact thing I was afraid of happened. 😣
Idk how I feel about that episode
There were some cool parts but also some rather meh bits
Though the duel between Qimir and Sol was fkin peak!
I wish it could've gone on for longer
And there seemed to be a reference to Ani vs Obi in it
Plagueis!!!
And Yoda for absolutely no reason
Yea man but the prequel stuff makes no sense now. Darth Vader, the chosen one , struggles to bleed a kyber crystal but osha mad, osha smash so insta bleed???? Not to mention the way it ended.
This whole time, so many people saying that dissenters were catastrophizing and whatnot about the show before anything happened but we were right lol! It ended the way a lot of us predicted. Upending the chosen one canon nonsensically.
Yea 😣. Shit makes no sense
How so
See my previous message.
Here
Also the crystal bleed inconsistency
Yea.... That comic is still canon so it makes no sense
What inconsistency?
That worked the same as usual
That Anakin who is the chosen one, struggles to bleed his crystal and this chick does it cause she's mad
Nope. Read the Vader comic
That's not how it works because that comic is still canon
"Bleeding was accomplished by pouring rage, hate, fear and pain into a kyber crystal by means of the dark side of the Force, until the crystal changed, resulting in the crimson-bladed lightsabers associated exclusively with dark side adepts."
That's literally how it works
It's a long story so I'm oversimplifying, but Vader goes to bleed his crystal and it rebounds on him. Then later he succeeded but it wasn't easy.
And it had been for the longest time
The point is that trying to do it intentionally was super hard for force Jesus, but this girl who took a long break from the force did it accidentally
How does that make the Acolyte's crystal bleeding non canon?
I didn't say non canon. I said inconsistent. It's obviously canon because it's a Disney property so by definition (unfortunately) it's canon
We have seen several cases of it in canon
So is the comic
When was the comic made?
Yea man, hence me choosing the word inconsistent. I think you're missing my point. How did some random kid who hadn't trained in a long time accidentally bleed a crystal and Vader had to endure an alternate timeline in his head among other things to do it intentionally?
Hmmm
I'm not sure
Ig that is a bit weird
It doesn't entirely go against existing canon as she was "pouring her negative emotions" into the saber.
Because it's vader??
You know, the chosen one of the force
Of course he's gonna get light side visions
It'll be far easier for literally any other darksider because they don't hold as important a position in the Force
But osha wasn't a regular dark sider either remember?
If bleeding a crystal was as difficult as you claim, most sith wouldn't be able to do it
Her birth is irrelevant to this
I'm thinking the reason she bled it by accident was because she was feeling such strong emotions that it impacted her saber.
Osha still has the force
Nor was Vader at the time he bled his crystal
You're falsely equating vader and osha because they happen to have similar birth circumstances. Crystal bleeding has nothing to do with that. Crystal bleeding is ONLY to do with your connection to the dark side
Vader being the chosen one meant he experienced visions others wouldn't
Exactly
Yea and I'd say that at the point in the comic, Vader had a way closer tie to the dark side
Osha put on a helmet and got upset.
Vader killed kids and overthrew a government
Dagan bled his saber relatively easily, even though he (technically) hadn't used the force in ages.
And killed his wife
And we've gone full circle. Maybe I'll repeat my points a second time, if you still don't get it then I'll give up
Vader is the chosen one of the force, hence he got light side visions urging him not to do it
It is that simple, that's why he struggled more than osha
Again you missed my point. Even after the vision it still wasn't so easy.
It's really not
Osha found out her mother was killed by the person she has looked up to for her whole life. Finding out something like that is going to generate a lot of negative emotions.
More than killing kids and your wife?
It is. We've seen several cases in canon where it has been easy.
People feel emotions at different levels
Osha is a vergence in the force just like Anakin according to the show. So they have more in common than their birth if we follow where the show is leading us
Lol we don't know the circumstances of the crystal. If you think about it for more than 5 seconds, the reason why it wasn't easy after the visions is for dramatic effect on behalf of the writers. The LORE reason is up to interpretation, such as the crystal was innately resisting vader or because infil'a had a specially powerful crystal
Y'all are doing some mental gymnastics just to avoid admitting that this show has contradicted several points in established canon. Even post Disney
Why do their births matter???
No I'm not. Lol. I gave the show a shot and watched it all and my fear of the plagueis thing ended up being right
The plagueis thing I need to think more about, everything else the show did contradicted nothing
Sounds like you sre
So the force was cool with dark side witches doing their thing, plagueis witnesses it all and the force decided to change its mind?
Didn't Osha literally say she has been feeling negative emotions her entire life cuz she couldn't learn to supress them?
The only thing I can think of that directly contradicts prior canon is Mundi's age.
So she has a lot of built up negative emotions inside her
Yes
Still waiting for these "several points of established canon" acolyte has apparently contradicted. Or is this the only thing you can repeat ad infinitum?
I remember that line within the show
Again, how does that outweigh killing kids, your wife, and overthrowing a galactic government? 😂 Jesus .
And when she learns the person she has looked up to the most killed her own mother, I think its pretty easy to understand how all those emotions would just explode and fill her with hatred
Yeah
It's not about the level of dark side emotions for fuck's sake I've already explained why vader struggled with his crystal
What I was saying
Kyber (you're wrong)
Plagueis
Mundi
People feel emotions differently
Mundi 💀
If you still don't get it, look up the meaning of several
GG ez
Didn't Plagueis learn how to prevent his own death?
Tf are you on?
Oh and Yoda knowing about this shit and acting brand new in the prequels
He's one of the mundi superfans (they didn't exist before acolyte)
There's been nothing about Plagueis in canon until now, besides ROTS.
No I'm not. But not caring about mundi doesn't change that it contradicted lore
WHEN DID HE KNOW????
Maybe you should look up the difference between legends and canon. Mundi's age was only set in stone in legends
Wasnt there something about Plagueis in the ep9 novel?
No idea. Maybe there was.
Just shut up about yoda, that isn't relevant to the debate

Why do we csre about Mundi's age? It's such a minor thing.
It's nothing, it's not even minor
Idk what's up with Yoda
It's a whole bunch of nothing
Do we even know how long Mundis species live
Did they ask me about degrees of contradictions or just contradictions? Don't move the goalpost 😂
Dude what
Outside of vague legends reference books, no
I'm just listening to something kn the news about a Miss Headland being injured
I already said mundi's age isn't a contradiction, try to keep up
Yea and you're fuckin wrong lol
Move onto something else
That actually contradicts canon
I find the Mundi thing stupid
Alright, we're obviously going nowhere. Y'all keep pretending this show is good and I'll go live in reality
I'll wait for a reason instead of blanket statements that prove nothing
I already gave my reasoning, where's yours?
Oh wait, there isn't one
Brother waffling almost worse than fuckin soyager
You literally dodged my question about Yoda. How does his singular appearance contradict canon?
Bro's dodging our rebuttals like it's the mfing matrix
Lmao
He pretended he didn't see the part where vader's role in the force as the chosen one is the reason he struggled with the crystal bleeding
Because it actually disproves him
You really need tonwork on yourself before going back to reality. Being a duck towards someone cuz of their opinion is going to lose you a lot of friends.
And the only other crystal bleeding I can think of in canon was as easy as it was here.
Dagan struggled as much as Osha
Vader is a unique circumstance because it's fucking vader
Yeah
Obvs
We haven't seen any other Sith get visions from it before.
Lmao
The reason Grievous doesn't have red sabers is that he failed the visons quick time event.
And of course bro just dipped
I just asked someone else about this whole thing and they responded the same way we did. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Star Wars Theory was PISSED Darth Plagueis showed up LMFAOOOOOO #TheAcolyte
The duality of man

Brother even says the book was decanonised
someone is on the lightsaber changing schtick on YT as well!
We've now seen several fallen Jedi bleed their kyber crystals to turn them red. I originally thought that was only something the Sith did, but there is a key difference between their two methods according to the Darth Vader comics by Charles Soule.

oh my goodness
don't tell me this is relevant to this controversy
I thought it was a pretty obvious troll
yeah
Check the subreddit
The fact that its still so believable is a testament to how bad SW criticism has gotten
I just had a read over the comments on a video of the scene where she kills Sol
the number of people complaining about the kyber bleeding is insane
they go for the vader example but ignore dagan?
the jedi giving the old CIA special by saying that sol committed suicide by self inflicted force choke wounds, no you cant see see the body
they burnt it
Iirc they were flashbacks during the speech
he's just miming vernestra saying the Senate can't see the body
Force created mae, a baddie and osha light side, and then they switched places
(Balance)

The mundi age malding still continues
People manage to amuse me everyday
"You're wrong!!!!😂😂" leaves chat
gonk loves his weekly slop dose
Ikr... this was peak
cant wait for skeleton crew guys!!
qimir was cool and the fight scenes were good
the rest was ass
what.
why did you think it was ass
he was probably trying to say "why did you think it was so"
tbh I kinda agree here. The Mae and Osha stuff was a bit more interesting, but I still felt bored of it.
the book itself says that he was over a hundred when talking to palpatine in 65bby
mae and osha
also like yea sol is very evil for killing mommy but why did she turn into evil smoke randomly
And its never even brought up
@languid ice heres an image to shut those people up
they wanna quote the plagueis novel? go quote it directly back at them
Live action father plagueis got me geekin with excitement
Thank you
what does yoda know about that he doesn’t mention in the prequels
because as far as we and the jedi in the acolyte finale are aware, sol is the traitor
there is no qimir, and no sign of the twin that wasn’t evil, and the one that was allegedly evil is clueless
as of right now the jedi order is completely blind
just like the prequels
Also the novel isn't even canon anyway
they inte tionally ignore that fact and the usual response when you say that is "well GEORGE signed off on it!!!"
George signed off on selling SW to Disney too lmao
yep same thing they said about ki adi mundi
hold on i got an idea
Actually rubs me off in the wrong way
The Ki-Adi-Mundi thing is the single dumbest controversy I have ever heard of
theres a jojo meme where its like "your next words are X"
make a meme of that ("your next words are "well george signed off on it") before they even post a response
And proof that SW fans do not deserve anything
Its funny because i bet they didnt even know until someone told them
The whole debate can be summed up as
"they broke canon"
"that wasn't canon it was from legends"
"IM GONNA KILL YOU"
Guarantee you Ki-Adi-Mundi was nobody's favorite Jedi before a month ago
😭🙏
imagine looking at mundis head and consciously saying “yeah he’s my favourite”
Battlefront II nostalgia is the only reason I would assume someone would have Mundi as their favorite
Where my agen kolar fans at❓❗
Kcaj fans
The shittiest of the gulp shittos
He should have got the clone wars season 7 order 66 scene instead of ahsoka
not even Battlefront II liked Mundi, they forgot to add his voice lines to the game.
His death was too quick
God that was so boring
The plagueis and yoda cameo were useless
but i dont get the fuss about it. Nothing indicate that plagueis learned anything from the witches
Qimir still great tho
The plagueis cameo anyway did serve some purpose. I didn't really give a shit about him, it was for like 5 seconds so it doesn't matter to me
Yeah thats why it was useless. It's just "hey look its plagueis !"
The purpose of his cameo being, to act as foreshadowing and set up some possible storylines if there ever is a season 2
Hell of a risk tho
Plus, to get fans more excited for a possible season 2. Which makes sense, considering how people have been crapping all over the show
I would rather have some venestra and qimir backstory than that cameo
I don't get it, obviously backstories being fleshed out achieves more than a 5 second cameo but they are two vastly different things
That is a completely different argument
Choreography still great also
you dont miss anything great
honestly i dont get osha/mae, it's the main character and i have 0 interest in her
Ig the great choreography was a lie then
Just the sol qimir fight
I mean Qimir fighting style is very entertaining
SPOILERS FOR THE ACOLYTE

Having a flashback in the finale would be so lame
Their will probably be one in season 2 anyway
not flashback, just some dialogue that gives more than "my old evil apprentice is in fact, not dead !"
something we already knew bcs of the whip/scar reveal in the last episode
Who would even talk to eachother about it
I dont know , im not a writer on the show, give me the job and ill think about it quickly
Okay bro
Literally none of the characters in the finale could talk to each other about it, it would make no sense
Sol doesn't know qimir is vernestras old padawan
make them litteraly talk to each other ?
Why do you even bother teasing the whip if you don't at least showcase it in the finale
i get the foreshadowing on Qimir but still
It would make no sense for the characters to talk about it because only qimir and vernestra know about the connection
They could have a short fight
Yeah but they don't meet in the episode
Vernesta wouldn't be able to lie if 10 jedi saw a guy with a red lightsaber
Yeah its just a suggestion, im not saying they should have forced a fight scene. The whole episode should have been reworked
bruh IF lmao
There will definitely be a season 2 lol..
What do you mean copium its literally the second most viewed star wars show
Bad reviews don't matter if you have an audience
(Ahsoka season 2)
True there's no audience for 40 yo soccer moms in andor, unlike mandalorian
Honestly, i'd give this show like, a 7,5 or an 8
Enjoyeable, excellent fighting scenes, intriguing story, a bit goofy acting and dialogue sometimes, but mostly good
A fun watch too
I think this shows biggest sin is it doesn’t wrap itself up neatly in one season, episodes should’ve had longer run times, I don’t really want to wait another 2-3 years to see how Osha’s story fully ends
But that aside it’s a fine show, it’s not the Star Wars ender everyone says it is, and hell it gets a lot right like the fight scenes, Qimir is consistently the best part of this series
^ this tbh
no matter how many issues I've had with new star wars, I wouldn't say it's dead/dying seriously. Nothing can kill an epic franchise like this, especially with all the ways to experience it.
I agree Darth Thirst Trap was the best part, for me tied with Sol who got done dirty imo
Sol was very good too, probably my favorite character from the series tbh
yea one of the only reasons I kept watching since my hopes of Jedi Master Trinity were dashed so early
also that was my favorite fight scene in the show
The Acolyte is over and yet Star Wars still lives
I finally watched them both
Andor season 2 is cooking rn it's on a slow boil
It'll be perfect 🙏🙏
I want vernestras padawan to appear in Acolyte season 2 even though he'd be 114
Assuming he doesn't die in high republic vol 3 ya know
I do think Disney will renew it
It'll definitely have a lower budget tho
They probably spent some of it on drugs
I think the show has really good affects but definitely not 180 million
Maybe I'm just a glazer idk
No you're right the visuals were amazing
But I just don't see the 180 million
Especially with episode 7
they shot on location
so travelling across the world to different areas of europe etc with the full cast, crew, props etc
is gonna cost a lot
building full sets instead of half assing it with the volume is also gonna cost a lot
andor avoided this slightly by just using IRL locations in london for a lot of coruscant scenes
I guess I haven't thought about that
"Obviously the species has been determined, if not by [Star Wars] canon, then by Legends and definitely by head-canon for everybody. So when we were designing him and talking about his appearance, it was a lot of ‘Crimson Peak,’ of Guillermo del Toro,” Headland said.
i knew you'd comeback with this comment 😂
star wars hasn't died yet but it'll get there in the next decade trust 🙏🏽🗿
we can only hope
Not even
It'll live
Sadly
I have to ask this but is anyone else having this uncomfortable feeling of like Qimir and Osha being a romantic thing?
Maybe it’s just me but It almost looks like that’s the direction they’re going towards for those two, if that’s the case then it doesn’t feel right? It just feels off.
Other than that I did like the final combat and the cameo parts.
What did you guys think about the episode or the season? Some of the stuff was not bad but I don’t think I would watch it again. Good actors but an okayish story.
I mean that was stated no?
the writers were leaning into the whole seduced by the dark side
Just the usual self insert woman slop
Nothing new
but the creator is a lesbian
Well Leslie self inserted her wife. So you gotta take a look at the others writers
It's good to see some people critiquing the show in a sensible way. I'd recommend having a look over this post. There're some interesting points made. https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWars/comments/1e657fz/the_acolyte_exactly_what_i_was_looking_for/
Osha was seduced into the darkside by qmir
lol
there were some things that made me smack my head like the flip flopping of May, both kept swapping, it’s just annoying. I’m certainly not going to talk about episode 3 the pOwer of mAnY no thank you.
As for what I said earlier about seducing by the darkside I can see that but why does it feel like sexual/relationship type. I mean if they’re a thing then good for them I guess but it felt like it was executed really weird in an uncomfortable way LOL. If I didn’t feel uncomfortable about it then I’d be fine with it, it’s probably just a me thing though.
The fighting I will say they executed that perfectly, other than that I don’t really like the writing at all.
The fuck is bro talking about. "Story largely removed from all previous content" Now that Plagueis has been show, it's not valid anymore
same for " a personal story rather than a fate-of-the-galaxy type situation"
It could litteraly be a sidious prequel
"many little girls get to pretend to be Rey"
name one
Do you think anyone here hangs out with little girls?
I think it's cuz that scene was shown through oshas perspective
Oshie ❤️
Uhhh which one specifically
Oh yeah the osha and qmir scenes
That was a baby??
Tf did she mean by that last part?
Seems like a good explanation.
https://screenrant.com/star-wars-why-anakin-lightsaber-didnt-turn-red-sith/
They basically say that Anakin was conflicted when he bled his crystal, whereas Osha wasn't.
Honestly im not even a book/comic turbonerd but any justification about this topic sound like super cope
Making the saber turn to red just bcs she is a little mad was stupid
It was just made for the « wow factor »
I do feel like they just yap alot to try explain things in the show
« it also reveals how challenging bleeding a kyber crystal can be. Of course, this was different from Osha's experience bleeding her own kyber crystal, but those distinctions still make sense. Yes, »
Peak journalism
Bcs its bad. So they exhaust themselves trying to justify things
For star wars ?
Yeah
But if you compare it to the global television medium its a 3/10
Shogun came out the same year. The difference in quality is crazy
Only thing that really spoiled the show for me was episode 7
Honestly we got Qimir and Sol and im greatfull for them
They were good and refreshing characters
Qimir is everything Kylo should have been
The fight were great
The guy who designed the fighting choregraphy for Qimir deserve a bonus pay
I wish we had more fights of mae with knives
The sol vs qmir fights were so good minus the slow motion
Who ever added the slow motion deserves a minus pay
The slow motion jump ?
Yes
nah the slow motion was good
crouching tiger, hidden dragon type shit
action scenes slow motion is very early 2000s
it’s quite dated in fight scenes
Was it even a slow motion effect though?
To me it just looked like that was the speed at which Sol chose to descend
I mean you don’t wanna get disoriented right
2000s were peak cringe kino
has read, respects and draws elements from the EU
puts WEG star wars TTRPG characters from games she played in 90s in her show
"I want the guy from squid game, X-23, Trinity and Danny Manchito in star wars, so i'm going to cast the guy from squid game, X-23, Trinity and Danny Manchito in my star wars show"
obsesses over minor shit like munn finger length
has a writers room and picks a writer who hasnt seen star wars so her show doesnt become self referential fanboy slop
makes sure there is no retcons in her show
Wish she would obsess on good writing
Pointless cameo that serves no purpose others to bait the viewer into wanting a s2
If we get to see plagieous in a major role i'll see this as a major win
I guess we will def get a second season, so we'll see
HEADLAND: "George Lucas was inspired by so many different films, and also in Clone Wars he was. There are whole episodes that are based on films that he loves, like The Wrong Jedi is based on The Wrong Man. He was so in clearly in love with film. I wouldn't go so far as to say that Star Wars is pastiche, but there's definitely an element of that within the Star Wars visual vocabulary. So again, I'm here, I am doing what I never thought would happen. I'm doing something impossible. I'm doing something that, like, 10 people have done, and I was like, “I would like to explore the cinematic and literary references that I like.”
"With Osha and The Stranger’s relationship, Bram Stoker's Dracula by Francis Ford Coppola — which I know is different from the book — that film is one of my favorite films. Again, it was to have someone that was so scary, to have somebody that we clearly see is a bad guy, and he's doing bad things, and Lucy is dying, and then to have this deep connection with Mina, where you see a totally different side of him. One of the things that really works about that movie is that there is this past life, soulmate, reincarnation idea for this character that has been alive for centuries, and he is just shocked to find her Actually, in earlier drafts, The Stranger had a line from that movie, which is, “I have crossed oceans of time to find you.” A lot of Gothic romances were referenced — Jane Eyre, Rochester and sort of the Byronic hero for those two."
"Literally the last shot of the show is the two of them holding the same lightsaber. It’s the last shot of Fight Club — these are two people that are looking out under the horizon and believing that their power is intense, and strong, and shared, and passionate."
what in the actual fuck is that
Literally the last shot of the show is the two of them holding the same lightsaber. It’s the last shot of Fight Club — these are two people that are looking out under the horizon and believing that their power is intense, and strong, and shared, and passionate."
the fuck is homegirl smoking
osha has absolutely no idea of what she is , what she wants or what she is capable of
she 360° the whole season
She is trying so hard to give depth to her show through interviews
just do a good fucking show and then you can yap about it
This shit actually remind me of the last season of true detective when the new director just slapped the spiral and Rust's father into her slop and acted like it was some kind of deep reference somehow thinking she gave an answer to all of s1 unanswered questions and the original director just straight up bashed her publicly
finally saw the episode
