#Andor Spoilers

Swt is a chad
I bust out laughing when they hit that trooper over the head with what is essentially Maarva’s corpse
It’s what she would have wanted I guess
LOL, true
lmaoo
This is what they were doing (canon)
real
unfunny
We need a Wookieepedia (Canon) article about Bricks asap
true LOL
Dont forget the screws
SWT forgot about the screws
The Death Star has been shown twice before rogue one
And in both situations it’s at different stages in construction
However the lazer ring has always been part of the main structure since ROTS, Andor has it built separately and placed in

Anyone here have opinions on the theory skarsguard is a Jedi
No
Please no
Sounds terrible
he isn't
i mean like it makes perfect sense no? they even made an in-universe reason for them using bricks (burial bricks) but ADHD theory probably zoned out
ferrix is also a ye olde town very prided in its customs and old ways
Andor has wrapped up its first season in its 12 episode run and despite most people not expecting much from the series it’s proven to be one of the best piece of Star Wars entertainment ever. Here we breakdown and review the entire series including the heist and prison story arcs, how brutal it is in comparison to other movies and shows, the pa...
Goated
Midor
Ramble
andor best show in star wars
Cassoy Soydor
mando season 2 is still better
Wait for the anthology
Some Wookiee slaves nuked it or something
Gorgeous
Good times 🥲
Star Wars fans when something is deliberately ambiguous
it definitely is weird how this is apparently gonna take 5 more years to finish
Well it’s the laser lol
My question is how did the Empire manage to build an operational second Death Star in 3 years when the first took 20+
I assume it was already getting built before ANH
And it was just accelerated post the first one blowing up
^^^^^^^
thats what i wanna know
Well first off they had already built one so they had everything good to go, they didn’t have a senate to keep it secret from and they already had the materials with the ds1 wreckage and more access to other planet resources
Thought it was okay. Definitely been overhyped but a lot of that imo is Disney's social engineering.
"These are our original characters so they are better!
Honestly Disney is poison
It's overhyped because
A) it's the first well-done mature star wars content for the man babies who forgot star wars is for everyone
B) it's probably the best Star Wars show in terms of objectivity and payoff
For everyone
What does that even mean? Like people can enjoy Star Wars. Is there no pay off watching episodes 1-6 in it's entirety?
Star Wars has always been a family franchise. It's never been objectively good movies but it caters to a wide audience and with each trilogy it tends to cater to a new generation
There's kids shows, there's adult shows, there's sit down with the family shows
And your second point I have no idea what it even means
I can equally say I'm just as confused with what you mean by having payoff.
3 episode chunks and then to loop it all back around at the end, but it was also the secondary characteristic I applied to it. It's more thought out from the start than say.. the sequels, prequels or even TCW
It had a plan from the start
Actually building up to events instead of mindless action
Yep, or planning as they go
I still believe Andor is overrated by some, just wanna make that known
Just trying to define why some have
Like angryjoe giving it a 10 is absurd
Prequels obviously were building to something. Idk if you were expecting there to be pay off 45 minutes into The Phantom Menance
This ain't some unexplained Rey bullshit
But Disney will paint it with the broadest of strokes, only make human characters and social engineer it as the best thing since Empire Strikes Back
Right that's why jar jar got abandoned very quickly lol
And anakin and padme got ridiculously less screen time or cringe
You seem to focus hard on certain things
When I'm making greater points
While Disney is definitely responsible for a part of it, you're really edging on tin foil hat territory with how much they "socially engineered". People need to agree with it somewhat for that to actually be believed
At least I feel like they do. Disney has been awful for Star Wars and aside from specific parts of it, I can't bother to get excited or invested like I use to
disney has not been awful for star wars
Between treating conflicts as black and white issues. Basically only having human characters and trying to make our stuff like their shitty MCU, it's just not worth it.
Disney fans are just splitting this fandom further
star wars would most likely be a fully dead franchise if lucas hadn't sold it
sure some stuff that has been made recently isnt the best, but thats to be expected from all franchises
Id rather have a flawed franchise coming from the heart of one guy than a perfect one engineered by a souless evil corporation
🤷
"soulless evil"
i really like how many minor characters are given real character development. mole guy is awesome, only about 4 minutes of screen time and barely any dialogue actually spoken by him. fuck this show is good
Lucas has many times implied star wars is a black and white conundrum.. jedi = good, sith/empire = bad
This is exactly what I meant about people assuming all star wars media needs to be mature
Definitely sensing you didn't want a discussion and just wanted to show off your Disney hate rant..
prison arc is my favorite, should have seen it coming because the plot was honestly predicable but i was too caught up in other stuff in those episodes that i completely missed it
If anything I am referring to the underlying corruption within both the Republic and the CIS.
You want mature and relatable shit, that would be it.
like of course they are killing the prisoners at the end of their sentence, of course it is parts for the death star
Disney is garbage tho
vs countless misses
Most of TCW
i guess you can't always have W's
Yep
People just like to ignore the Ws to complain how Kathleen Kennedy personally executed their childhoods with a rusty spoon
I normally treat TCW/TBB seperate from Disney. Just in parent company name alone.
Convenient how you focus on one thing again
"these things dont agree with my argument so im just gonna ignore them"
say it's bait but the sequels are up there with the worst movies i've ever watched, solo is just fun, kenobi is a huge miss, book of bad had something going for it just to be turnt into mando season 2,5 cameo fuckfest, mando s2 was just filler ridden and a letdown.
I mean they slap. But 90% of the Clone Wars (and even the concept of the Bad Batch) was before Disney
more than half of TCW season 7 is a huge waste
so i would indeed say disney has not been doing good, exactly
Would you at least concede that Filoni is Lucas' prodigy? And that he has a large amount of control or say in what goes where and how it's told? @latent oar
Yes. I think Filoni is great.
Ez
Not perfect, but he makes enjoyable stuff
that looks like the breaking bad logo
I recall this interview. I can still dislike the sequels and their characters
to be fair they utterly screwed up, they had ONE chance to do it right and they missed sooo hard. the sequels completely shattered people's confidence in disney
sad
I think I've entertained your desperation to hate Disney enough
Could've been so much different if they just planned it out from the start
yes
Wandering aimlessly into a trilogy was never going to be the best it could be
they had it all dude, carrie, harrison, mark, an infinite amount of lore to take from
how can you even screw it up
it's unthinkable
Lil extreme but fair enough
no bro the people they hired are unironically fucking stupid
I think Abrams was worse for Star Wars than Johnson
abrams technically fucked over star trek as well with his shitty ass reboot.
Abrams made a soft reboot of episode 4 and then fractured the trilogy by making episode 9 his own thing
That man contributed nothing to SW
all he is good for is soulless action flicks with no substance
Ive been trying to get into ST but not sure where to start.
Personally would jump over the original series as it is outdated and a pain to watch, tried it and im not returning. Would begin with the movies, in order. they still hold up and some of them are actually quite good.
the first is probably the worst, but the rest are great
it really depends on what you're into
Regarding Andor, I think I can at least give the 'humans only' argument a pass here given the circumstances.
tng >>>>
wdym
tried to get into that but honestly i dont think the series catch my interest that much so i always end up dropping them
the movies are awesome
Disney has an issue of never using alien in crowds or just as characters.
Well, we are gonna get an alien protagonist when the Ahsoka show comes out so
That’s something
As for the ST I blame a lot of people
They should have just had Rian do all 3
Or JJ
Or anyone
Because Rian Johnson makes a lot of really good stuff
I didnt like Rian's movie at all but I can tell he at least put way more effort into it unlike Abrams
as a somewhat mild defense to TROS, Abrams didn't even have time to put effort into it considering Colin Trevorrow backed out and Disney had a deadline to reach
True. But I don't give Abrams any breaks for VII. That was literally just Episode 4 rehashed
Most hot battlefront user take
I liked TFA due to it being my first theatrical Star Wars
Plus it wasn’t a TOTAL remake
Which isn’t much but there’s a little bit of difference
I quite liked TFA
TLJ was my favorite of the ST
Probably my 4th or 5th fave overall
But anyway
I’m still confused about how they built the second death star so fast
They hired engineer gaming tf2
Same here. It's a bit eh as a Star Wars film, but it's actually decent as a film in general, imo.
It wasn't 100% done by ROTJ on purpose, meaning there would've been less stuff to be worked on, and more time for the laser to be worked on.
It’s a good Star Wars as well
I don’t know what people mean when they say it’s not a good Star Wars
In fact I think it understands the deeper meaning of the series a lot more than any other ST movie
And it connects to the PT and OT thematically in a way that TROS doesn’t and TFA only really touches barely
one thing i wanna give TLJ is that a lot of the diehard ANH felt similarly about ESB when it was released
people fear different
True
yet dont want the same (tfa)
They want a Star Wars movie that is different but not different
yep
i respected tlj for having the balls to stick to its different ideas
plenty of times ive heard people say they liked the nobody rey plotline
dyad is also a really new and unique idea
hermit luke is perfectly in line with luke but people had decades of personal canon, retcons and extended media george didnt specifically agree to
just made him this infallible character in their heads
Luke is shown in every OT film to be impulsive and prone to anger when his friends are threatened
Plus his father had a vision and ended up committing mass genocide
So force visions and Skywalkers don’t mix well
exactly!
luke is the guy who almost falls like anakin but pulls himself back from the edge. that is luke and always has been
In ANH he rushes to his home even when Obi-Wan warns him not to, in ESB he rushes to fight Vader even thought he’s not ready, in ROTJ he almost kills his dad out of rage
hes better because he stops himself
Guys i really think you should just cope
True
nobody cares
Yep
Hang on let me find who asked
No one asksd
Would you look at that
But i asked
I am rey
Rey who?
so many times i bring up that luke almost totally forgot the reason he was there (to turn vader) just because he mentioned his sister, almost swung him to death
the only thing that stopped him was seeing his fathers hand just like his
Proof that swing spamming is canon
zero retorts just continue regurgitating
Vader: im the greatest sith lord who has lived in decades and ive murdered countless jedi better than luke
also luke: weeeeeeeee spam swing
But anyway Rian Johnson and Kathleen Kennedy buried my childhood with a rusty shovel
Dave Filoni resurrected every person who ever had cancer
he is the second coming of christ
Still the worst character in all of SW
You have to understand that it’s fucking dumb
Cool factor can’t justify everything
Ok then the prequels is fucking dumb
The strength of the sequels is the visuals so it's a part of that. Like the TROS jumping scene, its silly but looks incredible
Same with starkiller base
PT is world building
OT is characters
What about the prequels
Shit dialogue that sounds cool
Ridiculously long final fight cuz it looks cool
Dooku Vs Yoda cuz it looks cool
That’s harsh
Harsh, but true
Jar Jar
Even worse than Jar Jar
🥱
Awful
Back when I first watched it, the film didn't feel like a Star Wars film to me.
i felt the same about the first 3 episodes of andor tbh
glad it turned out different
Counterpoint: yes it can
And the Holdo maneuver doesn’t really break anything major since we’ve known since ANH that hyperspace objects can collide with real space objects
Isn’t that why a droid has to make calculations before the jump
Yes
It’s always been a thing
It’s a wonder it took this long for a Star Wars creator to think of it
Also in the Malevolence arc in TCW has a ship in hyperspace hitting an object not on hyperspace
Having to suspend disbelief a little to watch star wars? I never
Not like the entire franchise required that
my beloved, see you in two years
WE WERE ROBBED
Nah
no swearing in my christian star wars
Either is fine tbh, fight is more symbolic and fuck is more emotional
Mid 90s
His point was basically Ralph mcquarrie art, which wasn't even the true final image for star wars it was just heavily inspirational for it
That it shouldn't have it, but he forgor lots of it has been seen
Based theory making people cry over a comment on bricks

december 3rd is the best date

also i saw a girl cashier in the supermarket who looked like little miss angry rebel from the show
vel?
yes
Mfw they start namedropping the Emperor

Similar vibes to watching TPM and TESB. You don’t really know too much about Palpatine but it doesn’t matter as he is the end-all-be-all and that’s all you need to know
Also the constant contrast between the Imperial aesthetic in Coruscant and the ragtag rebel characters is so cool
Might be the Kenobi show idk
Tbf it is a pic of AOTC Kenobi
Anyway peakdor sweep
Andor will continue being the best SW content since kotor
Mando S1, ESB, Andor and Kotor on their way to be objectively good media for once in star wars life
Jfc they dropped Celebration exclusive trailers for Andor, Acolyte and Skeleton Crew
Disney moment
Mannn, this show is so fucking good. @fallen patrol I just finished episode 10 last night. Andy Serkis is absolutely incredible in his role. The break out was really epic. Also, Luthen Rael is fucking nails and probably my favourite character in the show
His “what do I sacrifice” speech was actually riveting imo
I made this meme the day it came out

The most interesting ones as well 💀
True
Give it a month
all about the money, never about the fans
but ig we’re not big enough fans if we dont go to swc
And not only that, but you have to get lucky to get a spot for that hall that the panel is in
no!!!! youre just not a real fan!!!!!
why nobody talking about season 2 trailer
I didn’t record this, just uploaded it. I am not at star wars celebration.
Nah it's just about the fans who consoom
But tbh I can see their point because star wars fans are exhausting
windor
They took it down 💀
Obviously
Leaked trailer in better quality, might have more shots too
The last bit of good star wars we have left
Just look at that shot of the rebel crouching and screaming into the void
Do you think Palpatine is going to make a physical appearance in S2
Possibly for a senate thing
👀
I know I know Andor isn’t a cameo show but counterpoint Ian McDiarmid
They might do considering it's supposed to be ramping up in S2 with the tension
And the rebellion becoming a real threat
Though I don't really care if they do a palp cameo or not
I mean he plays a vital part in the story and has come up multiple times, I don't think it's a "cameo" as such
I wish we could get the dissolution of the senate
but thats way after andor during episode 4
I do hope we get more senate scenes but none have been shown in the teaser
after credit senate scene would be nice
who knows
how can there be a season 2 trailer when the first season just ended a few weeks ago
Lol what
I think I know what you’re on about, the Andor s2 teaser was basically cobbled together last minute bc they needed something for SWC
yeah that seems fair
Still has better cinematography than the Assoka trailer
perhaps
If Emperor Palpatine makes an appearance in S2 I will cream
However if it’s not McDiarmid that is no bueno
I’m making an appearance right now

Star Wars fans only care about pointless cameos
LMAO
Most sane sheev take
political leader of the galaxy shows up in a political thriller show
SMH fucking SW fans are idiots
Lmao fr though
HE GOT OUT!!!!!!!!!!!
Death scene
Of course he comes back, he's Snoke after all
LET’S FUCKING GO!!
he gets a baby episode like ahsoka in TOTJ
Andy Serkis is the GOAT
Yeah, he’s gotta be the Undisputed Goat of MoCap
by every meaning of the word, more kino is kino
Yes
Lord of the Rings ofc too. His portrayal of Gollum and Sméagol is a huge part of that trilogy’s success
Yeah one of the original pioneers for sure
#ANDORSWEEP
YOOOOO
Praying that the studio doesn’t fuck this one up
I would once again like to say that this show was incredibly slow and nonimpactful for the most part, with the exception of One Way Out, there is nothing memorable or innovative and it will be quickly forgotten for superior content
Keep dribbling
Slow? Yes, that's by design. Non impactful? Now you're just being dumb
The entire point of the slow pacing is that you give a shit about these characters and everything has a bigger impact which worked to incredible effect
I think it's time to finally accept that what you have is an opinion
But star wars fans are allergic to that, anything I don't like must be dogshit
No i don't give a shit about some grumpy cringe self absorbed nobodies
Mmmmmm luthen
Such fucking good writing
Made his speech have such good pay off
Oh wait my bad I wasn't impacted by it whatsoever

🤡
One could argue this was intentional to convey the fact that it’s the nameless, faceless people in war who contribute the most but no-one remembers them
Anyway #peakdorsweep
The heist was fucking incredible
I think I just about prefer it to the prison arc
But not by much because the prison was incredibler
Damn
Whole lotta words
Anyway ISB ….
Imperial Security Based
An amazing part of this show
Is the “superior content” in the room with us right now?
Incredibly Sexy Bastards
Wdym we get lots of superior content! The last one was... Uhh... Empire Strikes Back!
Arguments could be made for Mando S1 but we will never get one that good again
Oh god I just checked, mem prefers Mando s2 to s1... Starting to think he's one of those "Andor didn't have sabers! Where rex? Where ahsoker?" Mfs
No I searched
Because Mando s1 is this ^
Bunch of nobodies
Martha’s speech

Huge difference between wanting everyone to escape in the prison Vs only giving a shit about cassian lol
- he has plot armour until RO
You looked up my past messages 🥺
Yea
You find all sorts of funny hypocrisys and inconsistent logics when you search peoples messages on discord
Sometimes
It’s played out the same way breaking bad is
Which makes it all the more funny that it's better than most things Disney has put out
Very low bar to surpass Disney Star Wars shows
was going by his logic
LET’S GOOOOOOO
im actually glad she’s not coming back
i have no problems with her or jyn, its just that there is 0 reason to include her
Isn't the whole point of Andor is that most of these people have no reason to be there but it makes it more compelling
I do agree tho, she doesn't need to come back and is too risky really
This reminds me
Is it weird that I don’t want Kino to return
I loved him to bits like everyone else but not knowing his fate makes that story so much more compelling
Factual.
Good writing will leave you thinking about it long after the credits roll
“these people” are all new characters we’ve never seen before, except andor, mon, and melshi
True...
it’s established in rogue one that andor and jyn never met before
so why would we have her
Yeah so she would have to be a separate story
i’m excited to see k2so tho
Hey tbh if she replaces soy boy imperial simp then I'm down for it
But only if she replaces him
But it's not like Andor to include something for no reason idk, they need to meet in the middle at some point
she can be soy girl partisan crybaby
All in all, no jyn pls
No pls I can't take anymore soy
Literal episode worth of being roasted by his mother

corn flakes
Soy boy coomer that Andor lives rent free in while he fantasizes about being dominated by the imperial lady
i am curious about if and how andor and he will meet
and get into some wacky hijinks
LITERALLY
Common dragoon W
Common peakdor W
So called andor "fans" are still desperate to have her in there though....
I would like to see her return just not in Andor
Maybe like a short film like Werewolf By Night
Lars and Liam both said the same when asked if they were to return so I wouldn't be too sure about that
At most I see her getting a cameo in one of the last 3 episodes
Seeing how those are the last couple of days before Rogue One
No interactions with Andor tho obviously unless they remake the scene where they bust her out as the final scene
the very last scene will be andor opening the door to the prison transport, and then Hooked on a Feeling by Blue Swede plays as the credits roll
And K2 will say “uh yeah that just happened”
Almost forgot bout K2, will be nice to see him again

oh no oh god oh fuck
What about screenplay
Gilroy can do it ig
Idfk
They won’t rush a release if they weren’t confident with the show
You really believe that?
If they ruin Andor I will have nothing left except visions
Sacrifice is the central running theme in every single one of the characters and their journeys. Cassian, Bix, Maarva, Luthen, Syril, Mon Mothma, Nemik, Kino, all of them
Very fitting considering it is a prequel to Rogue One, where sacrifice is also at the heart of the story
It’s good shit
I’m saving a full rewatch of the whole season before S2 drops so it hits much harder

Andor on its way to single handedly save Star Wars
We’re so back
the next show comes out: "it's over"
Oh and remember to refuse to compliment Andor because Disney
Only tell them what they're doing wrong, never tell them they did something right
No, just praise this and rogue one while bashing the sequels
For the 146,993rd time
They don't praise this though
Some do, a lot don't
Think how Valkie reacted... Refused to put it on any kind of pedestal. Immediately raised the bar to "now do this every time"
The viewers speak for themself because people refused to talk about Andor excitedly like we did
And tell non diehards to watch it
Andor - lack of word of mouth
Acolyte - too much word of mouth
I can't wait for mfs to compare skeleton crew to andor s2

That first andor shot looked phenomenal
Also the TIE looking through the glowing hole in the wreckage
(was it an interceptor?)
I hope we get more cool space battles this season
"AnDoR is NoT STar wARs eNouGh"
It had rear wing panels I think
Unlike an interceptor
I think I'm looking at it wrong
The only legends design that comes to mind is the oppressor but that also had panels on the top
Might just be a new TIE design for canon
That don't look anything like the oppressor
Yes, you could use that scene in the argument lol
Then again, the sequels also have moments that question all franchise logic
Likely OT and PT too..
It's just an ion beam repeater fitted onto the sides of his ship, we saw those in the battle of geonosis
OT...
Death Star infiltration sequence
Why doesn't every ship use a one hit kill strat like that
Might be too expensive and power consuming to fit every starfighter but on a single modified starship for luthen's personal use it makes sense
It's the same kinda argument people use to criticise the holdo manoeuvre
Exactly my thoughts yea
I don't agree with the arguments, but they have merit enough to exist
Also
Tbh it doesn't look practical
No it kinda sucks lol but luthen doesn't have a gunner to operate a turret so he has to control the beam while flying the ship
Either way it made for a cool scene and it's not exactly new technology for starships so I'm not complaining too much
His ship has a sentient computer?
I don’t care if it’s practical or logical, I creamed either way
huh?
Guh?

Wait, this is old news
Blame reddit
Blame it on the rainnnnn
Peak cinema incoming
Fuckin right
Still has gorgeous sets clearly
isnt there 12 episodes?
Where are episodes 10-12?
unless this person doesn't have all the episode names, the info might be incorrect. Most places I have seen report season 2 is comprised of 12 episodes, with each 3-episode arc depicting 1 year.
https://screenrant.com/andor-season-2-news-updates-story/
Showrunner Tony Gilroy has confirmed that Andor season 2 will be split into four three-episode installments, each depicting a 12-month period that is important to the development of the Rebel Alliance.
plus, the leaker is unreliable, or so I've heard
lol what
I can't wait for the episode "Emperor", where it is revealed Andor was the Sith Lord this whole time.

so fucking peak
bro the mom is so toxic i hate her
but obviously thats the point
loved when dedra talked to her
Best part out of the 3 episodes imo
Well I did like the beginning when Cassian stole the ship and the imperial higher ups discussing ways they were gonna deal with Gorman
Everything else was mid , unnecessary, and way too dragged out pretty disappointed overall.
I assume the show will get better throughout the season it was like that last time.
loved it
I thought it was lame 3 very slow episodes with some good moments in between and then the big pay off finale at the end is a Cassian's gf getting assaulted
i do agree that having the lord of the flies be a full 3-episode arc was a bit much
pissed me off how stupid they all were holy shit
I like the format but the pay off at the end sucked so it didn't work
but again, thats the point
nah i had a total soyjak point moment
but story-wise yah coulda been better
And we might get more of his girlfriend getting SA'd cuz that dream sequence she had I assume was alluding to it had a different imperial guy
Really hope we don't get more of that
Oh I don't really remember cuz the first season was so long ago
i just rewatched
I know the rest of the season will be much better
Just sucked the premier was fucking stupid
The chandrell wedding thing was fucking torture it never ends
AND IT STILL DIDN'T END MOTHMA WAS STILL DANCING 😭
i remember hearing a while ago that each arc is gonna be a time jump
and the last one will be right near the beginning of rogue one
wonder if thats still true
Are you talking about the part where Andor is being stuck with those rebel idiots or the show in general?
the rebel idiots
I hated that part so much even worse none of them came back with Andor which tbh I wouldn't mind either but it's just it felt like a giant waste of time
I assume those rebels will be back cuz they're on yavin but still dragged out way too long
just read something from forbes that says the first 3 are the weakest eps
and thats a source i trust
ya i wonder what the payoff with them will be
apparently they'll be releasing the show in 3-episode chunks every week, the 3 episode premiere won't be unique
with the critics’ reviews i’d be very surprised if they were a chekov’s gun
or however the saying goes
lmfaoo
If they were gonna include a scene like that we should've gotten Dedra and Syril banging instead of a sexual assault scene nobody asked for
bro the force i lowkey forgot about that since all of the star wars media ive consumed recently has been non-jedi related 😭
nah i think its good to reinforce the empire are dicks
and even a lowly lieutenant still has a power trip like that
Man even the CIA wouldn't have gotten that outta me 💀
I don't mind it in concept at all and I've been wanting Star Wars to be more dark I just think it was misplaced
No I don't mind them doing it I just wanted to see Andor doing cool rebel espionage stuff and we didn't get much of that. If they wanna include a scene like that save for another time
well again it is only the first 3 episodes
but i understand you wanting them to just jump right in
that has been a lot of people’s problem with Andor as a show, it being slow
It shouldn't have been at the end cuz as a viewer I was forced to commit basically 3 episodes for the the big finale to include that which is what I mean by it being miss placed
I find the pacing to be just fine, if anything the 3-episode chunk helped it quite a bit, it's like a refined layout from Andor S1
and Andor S1 was already paced perfectly for me
I don't mind that and I loved the first season it's just Andor being stuck with rebel infighting idiots that didn't lead to nowhere and a wedding event that never ends sucked
it's fine to be wrong sometimes
Infact I would've preferred a Syrial and Dedra sitcom show over that lol
It's my opinion
I didn't say it was fact or anything like that
It was good, not as strong of an opener as S1 but still good. I really didn't care for the Red vs Blue tier dialogue between the Rebels on Yavin and the tone felt a bit off in some areas.
lmfaooo that would be great
again, my issue is that right now it feels like it led nowhere, and im really hoping i get proved wrong
Bro fr I love how they're living together too shit made me laugh when I first saw that
How much of it?
definitely all the clips of the ship from the outside
so from the start where he reverses it
Ok
or maybe just from when he escapes the hangar
I'll see if I can work on something
i assume you've seen a liqa sto meme before?
yea
i guess now we know why they'd do the 3 episode per week thing
had we had these 3 episodes spread across 3 different weeks i think the show would have lost most interest
i guess my main issue is that the end of episode 3 with the music seems like its meant to be like “oh its all going to shit its all going down” but it just doesnt actually feel like that because, especially with the mon mothma stuff, ive lowkey got no clue whats going on
tay kolma was so incredibly vague, and then mon and luthen were as well, that i still dont know what the issue is
like idk why but its just not clicking
like okay he wants something special but what? money? a favor?
like it just feels too vague, and not the good kind of vague where i cant wait to see what happens next because i have all these theories, i want to know what happens next because im annoyed that i dont know whats happening now
SA in SW feels unnecessary. You can portray power dynamics and making the audience hate the empire in other ways without taking it to such a disgusting place.
Vader wouldn't tolerate that shit nor does the Empire condone it.
It has no place in Star Wars. Period. Unnecessary.
he hates it
LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
i agree
i dont think it's that unpopular of an opinion
depends if you're an american
i'm in other servers and lots of people are saying that shit was too dark for SW
How dare they depict an imperial officer do what regime soldiers pull off all the fucking time
^
american minds cannot comprehend things darker than murder and slavery
S1 has that, as well as lynching etc
but SA is apparently too far
typical sw theory
Whether you like Andor S2 ep1-3 or don't, all opinions are welcome.
I didn't like it.
its almost like the best way to show how disgusting the empire is is to make them do something disgusting
i mean that was legitimately probably the darkest thing in star wars on the tv ever
and no anakin burning alive does not come close
my opinion is that i dont really care but i can see why a lot of people do lol
Well I should clarify this is an issue in most armies, but its obviously more prone to occurring under authoritarian regimes
yeah
its a real issue in the world and having a power tripping officer do it is yeah, hard to watch, but also necessary
actually if we are saying that this happens on a large scale in the empire then it's more akin to Stalins regime
its not about how often it happens its about the fact it happens at all
true
stuff like this probably wasnt super common in nazi germany but did it happen at least once? almost definitely
based
It looked phenomenal
the camera work as well
the music in these 3 episodes didnt stand out for me
except niamos of course
like i have probably a third of the soundtrack of season 1 saved because its so fucking good
there were a lot of scenes with no music at all i noticed
clone wars fans keep on claiming that the show was dark and gritty but cant handle actual dark subjects
curious.
What do you think was happening during slavery?

thats what he did
chat, pull up the clip of SWT saying they should just make a show about the clone wars
Him specifically saying "Vader wouldn't tolerate that" is absolutely hilarious
Tbh I don't think he's wrong there
Its him saying that the Empire wouldn't condone it that's laughable
star wars theory so brain fried that he NEEDS to mention vader in an example where vader is irrelevant
Yeah that's moreso what I meant
Spoilers Dedra and stupid creepy guy
||AM CRYING BRO no PLEASE NO THAT GUY I DONT KNOW HIS NAME THÉ ONE IM IN THÉ MIDDLE OF EPISODE TWO PLEASE DONT TELL ME THEY ARE TOGETHER I CANNOT HE IS SO CREEPY SHE BETTER PLOT TWIST BETRAY HIM HE IS SO CREEPY WHY DEDRA WHY||
He’s the number one Star Wars creep rip creepy guy you would’ve loved stalking people on the internet
@finite widget
no
Beginning of episode three Dedra is literally going “he asked for no pickles”
i disagree
if he was creepy he would have tried to kiss dedra when he saved her in s1ep12
he didnt, he didnt make a move on her or anything
he wasnt lustful for her, he saw her as the epitome of what he wanted to be: someone who's dedicated to the empire and is praised and rewarded for it and gets to do actual significant work catching criminals
i think his character is great because if the empire were the good guys, he would be the hero: think of a cop flick, he's the guy who's dedicated to doing the right thing and doesn't play by the rules and goes against orders to catch the criminals
but the problem is hes on the wrong side
The only thing I saw Syril as was possibly 'weird', but the most I'd put him as, is having "having a stick so far up his arse he might as well be a tree" syndrome
1000%
Yeah, Dedra was someone that Syril greatly respected; rather who he wanted to be
It could be natural that they'd connect; they both want to uphold the law in whatever way they can, and both serve the Empire diligently (TOO diligently, in Syril's case)
Dedra is far from normal, too
if anything the 'relationship' was her suggestion
ya for sure
it does seem to be her apartment, anyways
there is no way he would be able to take charge in allat
Dedra doesn't take any shit, no way she'd let Syril onto her like that without him ending up in a cell in the deepest level of coruscant afterwards
I don’t think his writing is bad I actually do like his writing and what it represents but I do think he’s a creep it’s more complicated than him not kissing her in her sleep. What we see him do in everything is through his hyper patriotic lens and his idealization and idolization. His core values and everything he views as right is confirmed by what he sees in Dedra. How I see creepy is the way he acts is drastic and how fanatical he gets about the empire is accentuated by how he acts with Dedra
Neither of them are normal I agree and I also agree that where the plot is now Dedra obviously is fine and in control as she always was
But I still think his actions in season one were almost exclusively super off putting with Dedra
syril is the literally me character
Wild switch up but I totally want to make the test pilot suit that Andor wears
had to do a double take when it cut from that questionable scene to Mon Mothmas crashout back to that scene
Maya Pei actually died of stress trying to manage that band of chucklefucks
Lmfao
I'm not dooming andor but that entire plotline was ass
I mean he was literally stalking her, like showing up to her job randomly, it was a lil creepy
More like a, pathetic, pitiful kind of creepy lol
It's supposed to make you feel uncomfortable. SA is a very serious issue.
Is it the one with the song "What Shall We Do With A Drunken Sailor?"
Shall I add that song to it?
