#"Cannot unpause while not linked to a player" even though im linked to my friend?

Me and my friend wanted to play some 2p levels, but when i am the host i cannot link to anyone, i can click the link button and it changes but it doesn't do anything when it comes to linking, unlinking works fine tho.
When my friend is the host it works perfectly, but since we want me to be "player 1" we can't do anything (is there maybe a setting to change who is p1 and p2, we could use that to avoid this bug).
Deathlink also started to malfunction, when i die my friend does too, but when he dies it doesn't affect me at all.

I provided a list of mods and my mhv8 hacks enabled, maybe there's an issue there? (i have cbf off when i play globed)

Tested 2p with 2 different people so i doubt it's an issue on their side and it's something that has to do with my game.

if you press the button, does it become blue?

and if you reopen the menu does it stay blue

just so im not missing anything, green "linked" chain is you being linked with someone and blue chain is you being unlinked

it's green by default

and if you successfully link it becomes blue

both parties have to have a blue chain correct?

it should let you unpause if the button is blue currently

even if the 2nd player didnt link

yeah i can unpause, but now it behaves as if me and my friend are player 1

thats why i thought it meant unlinked cuz we cant play togheter still

in his lobby i would "spectate" him until he hits a dual portal

then i would spawn

but on my lobby he is just free

as if we are playing normal globed

without a 2p modifier, with the exception of duals not working cuz its not spawning the linked player

i think someone's reported this before but we haven't found a solution

because it's an uncommon bug

but it happens to some people

and to the person who reported it it also just randomly stopped happening

do both of you have all mods disabled except globed and node ids?

i didn't suspect it cuz it didn't work with a different guy

but maybe they both had that one mod that breaks it enabled
