I have noticed that when I am over at other HQ picking up the eggs is hard even in plan sight.

yes so when im other peoples HQs its hard some time to pick up the egges, i some times have to stand up crouch down and walk away before i can get the eggs. And some time it wont let me pick them up even if they are right infrount of me i have to lmb a few times before i can pick it up

Tbh I think that's just having to deal with the lack of curser in the lobbies.
Unless you know where the center of the screen is by default, it's hard to put it directly on the egg, it makes it seem like you're not able to get it. When it's a huge issue, I go look at a couch, find the little circle that pops up and point a sticky note corner at the center dot
