Most games for my pc usally run at 140 F, this game is running at 170 F @ 70% usage. I have a ryzen 7 9800x3d with a 7900xtx.

170 F is roughly 75C which is a good thermal target when under load which is still a 20 degree buffer from true max temp

You know, I didn't really think it was that bad, but my pc has been running for about an hour now, it was about 40c before loading up the game, loaded it up and got candy, it jumped up to 66c, i shut off the game and it immediately dropped down into the 40s, now it's down to 36/37c.

Not too bad, but i'm also not used to looking at things while i game. I don't recall it going beyond 60c for anything really, but this could have a lot to do with a fan going. :T

Depending on your cooling system, your CPU should be able to run under 100% load for sustained periods of time without getting into the 90+ area. CPUs can produce a ton of heat, its up the cooling system to dissipate that heat.
