Found a problem with the game and want to help out? Awesome!

To help our team begin an investigation into a bug, there are a few things that we’d really appreciate from you to help expedite the process so we can work on getting a fix out as quickly as possible.

Try to gather as much information as possible on what the issue is and what might have caused it.

Fill out the form and provide a brief description that details what the issue is,
what it impacts and additional information.

Don't forget to include your crash logs before submitting the report.

Use this information you gathered to write about the bug, using following template:


Is the issue consistent or occasional? 

Can you still progress through the story?

Can you take a picture/video of the issue?

Any troubleshooting steps that you’ve already tried?

Can you reproduce it?```
Add your screenshot, save and player.log

**Can't reproduce the bug?**

Don't worry, as long as you have enough information for us to know what happened and added your save/pictures, we'll take it from there.

## **What if I crashed?**

When your game crash the best is to use the "DragonkinTheBanished Crash Reporter" windows that appears right after your game crashed.

⚠️ What if I missed the Crash Reporter but still want to report the issue?

If you missed the Crash Reporter window, don't worry!
You can still reach us by submitting your report in #bug-reports.

Where do I find my player.log, saves or crash.log?

In the Steam library, right click on the game and select Properties, in the Installed Files tab find the Browser… button.

There you can travel to Dragonkin - The Banished\DragonkinTheBanished\Saved\ folder and send it to us as a zip file.

There is a good chance a CM or Dev will reach out if they need more information, but please make sure you've written your email carefully.

Experiencing issues? Try this!

1. Update your Video/Graphics Drivers

This is the most common issue, please make sure to use the latest version.

Outdated drivers can cause crashes, graphical glitches, or performance issues. Keeping them updated ensures compatibility with the latest game updates of Dragonkin: The Banished.

2. Check for Windows Updates

Some of you are using too old versions of Windows that do not handle what is called “Shader Model 6” coming with the latest version of Direct X 12 needed by the game (using Unreal Engine 5).

3. Try verifying local files

In the Steam library, right click on the game and select Properties, switch to the Local Files tab and then click on the Verify Integrity of Game Files button.

This helps to make sure your files are properly downloaded and not corrupted, which leads to crashes.

4. Try adding the following launch options

In the Steam library, right click on the game and select Properties, in the General tab, add the following commands in the Launch Options then close the window:
-clearPSODriverCache -deleteuserpsocacheImportant:
This can help to clean all pre-compiled shaders and start with a fresh cache.

⚠️ Please, make sure to remove these options after using them once, as keeping them may cause shaders to be deleted every time you launch the game.
