I didn’t think I’d draw a dress this year but here we are. I’ve never drawn a dress before but once I had the idea I just had to do it.
This one is quite heavily inspired by the visual in the background when you listen to Now That We Don’t Talk (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault)
on Spotify.
The inside of the dress could either be completely white or a lighter shade of the gradient on the outside (like in the painting), the top could be either white or this pink-ish color shown in the painting.
What looks like sleeves is supposed to be a scarf she would kind of wrap around her arms (I don’t have a single clue about dresses, if there’s a name for it please go ahead and tell me).
The dress itself looks somewhat plain and simple but since 1989
is a rather straightforward album in terms of lyrics, poetry and metaphors (compared to TTPD
for example) I figured going for a simple style would fit quite well.
