Hi! As an aspiring fashion designer i decided to try to really put as much detail into this as possible, which probably isn’t needed. I was just bored and wanted to test my limits
— the dress—
The dresses neckline begins with a high turtle neck white shirt. Ruffles are sewn onto this shirt using a v stich. The embroidery is a dark black color to draw focus. There is then a sweetheart neck style layered on top, in a grey white tone. This then opens to the dress.
The dress design is relatively simple. A light white material is to be draped over a white petticoat, giving the dress a outwards sweep. The dress has a large slit up the middle, revealing the petticoat. The petticoat is a white ruffle material, outline with white pearls (I will include a picture of this material). The dress is a dark ombré, fading up into a white. The top is a corset, with a light weight bamboo ribbing that fits loosely around the body. A dark black v stitch is again utilized. Excess fabric is gathered into a large bustle on the back of the dress
The wing are also made up of a bamboo ribbing, covered in a cashmere or silk. They are then draped in a screen like material, with small openings cut in order to capture the wind. The wings fit loosely onto the bustle, and fold outwards. For practicality there is a hinge mechanism so Taylor can get onto and out of the stage via the small trap doors.
Accessories are kept simple in order to draw focus to the dress. I imagine a black choker, and white gloves.
—VARIANTS—
two variants for this dress. The first is described above. The second will be a reversed ombré, with the wings studded with pearls to match the petticoat.
