like those areas where you would have a swivelling gun and you would just stand shooting as someone else shot you because why not

would be on theme but depends how its implemented and placed, you want it in a spot where it'd be valuable for people to use, but not too OP such that it's too advantageous in something like infector or deathmatch (i.e. over ball pits would encourage use but then be too much of an advantage as you could just sprint to them when you hear ball noises)
