Hi! I recently went through the effort of creating 22 different entries for each of the 22 official, Ubisoft Nadeo-made Trackmania 2020 seasonal campaigns for IGDB. This is the main mode for the game, featured on the main menu. As far as I know, it is allowed and common for live service games/MMOs to have different entries for seasons/updates/expansions. I decided to categorize them as expansions (though I'm open to arguments for them being Updates/Seasons) and gave justifications and context for each of my decisions in the first campaign page, the one for Trackmania's Summer 2020 Campaign.
The deal is, they all got discarded without the possibility for appeal, and I think there was a misunderstanding. The admin message said the following: "Hi! Based on the nature of Trackmania, we are not able to track these at this time. We will revisit this when we start figuring out how to handle games that are heavily reliant on User Generated Content. Thanks for your patience!"
I understand that there is a whole bevy of user-made maps for this game, but I was not trying to list any unnoficial content. I got the title structure from Ubisoft Nadeo's official trailers for each campaign (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9-qo0r0pQc) and linked them in the submission. I got the descriptions for each campaign from Trackmania's official campaign news page (https://www.trackmania.com/news/category/campaign) which has articles on every single one. I got covers for all of them.
In my view, this is no different from listing different Fortnite Chapters/Seasons (https://www.igdb.com/games/fortnite-chapter-6-season-2-lawless) or World of Warcraft expansions that have since been made free (https://www.igdb.com/games/world-of-warcraft-shadowlands) for all subscribers. Fortnite also has a bunch of user-made content, but that does not prevent it from getting official Season and Chapter pages.
Could someone please take another look at this with this context? Thank you.
