Personally, I still have issues when someone add CN to Hong Kong and Taiwan releases, where I will use AS in those cases

I agree, its very annoying. Hope the guidelines make it clear when to use what in the future. Also not a fan of Europe being all on category when any countries (Germany, Russia, etc) can have very different releases from the rest of Europe.
