You should "work" to get that counter

Right now the sheer menace of the character itself is enough to force you into hitting him; you can't just focus the other members of his team

But baiting counter feels amazing

So when you go to fly,
Melee cancel after a boost for better moment, never let your SA hit 0, utilize holding your gamma for a push back for vertical movement

I went from "mid" opinion to "he is so fun and strong"

The issue a lot of ppl have with him is they play him mid to long range like rapid. Strike has a different playstyle thats more close range.

Ive learned frames play apart on this along with ping. If you have any form of lag or play on non native server you will have more of an issue.

Some of his attacks like his beta run checks and if any come back negative it will miss. People can also roll the 2nd half of his beta. Knock down between moves is another thing. If you alpha someone then gamma to a beta they will get knockdown mid combo.

Ive had people fall out of my gamma because I held it to long and they hit knockdown before I could finish the attack

His alpha on hp can stagger someone 3 times before knockdown so if you hit them twice then try to combo a gamma or beta they could fall out of it

What I’m asking is why they added the yellow shine if, according to the post they made today, this feature was a bug.
If it was a bug, it wasn’t intended. It doesn’t have any flinch resistance, it can just be triggered during hitstun, that’s it. If you use it during a multi hitting move, you will most likely get hit during the start-up frames and that will cancel your beta. so it’s not hyper armor.

I am very skeptical on Strike Hawks having 300HP, though. I feel like they hit the sweet spot for his HP. He's glassy for how mobile he is, but also tanky enough to get in close, where most of his damage comes in. Strike Hawks is very combo dependent, so the specific HP Value is good for him in my opinion.

I actually wish HP values weren't just 250, 300, 350, 400. Where are the in-between values like Rapid Mirio's 225 or Strike Hawks' 275? Some characters should have specific in-between values because with the simple 50's HP Value's some characters end up being too tanky for their playstyle (Ex. Assault Ochaco, Endeavor, and Tech Mirio), or too glassy for their playstyle (Ex. Mt. Lady and Overhaul).

His beta is just a static cooldown. Leveling never decreased it. Before it was 7s on all levels and now its 5s on all levels. The penalty went from 12 to 10. Note if you run a beta reload tuning you can turn 5s into like 3s or less. Same with the gamma.

What are the Best special tunings for strike Hawks?

Accel is pretty good. Quirk factor release as well. You can pair those on formal. I run Divine and warp heal on orange cyber as the sub tunings let me stack attack slots. If you want almost nonexistent releads you can run the blue cyber as it has a lot of tech slots. Crushing PU and Card dup. Wind General heat you can do accel, gp, muscle form or card dup with revenge strike. That build also has a lot of strike slots. Wind villain you can do Fixer or critical perm with accel.
He has a few good options but those are what I would recommend for now.

I recommend a reload build for rapid as his cooldowns are 8.5 on beta and 9 on gamma. A reload build makes a big difference but for best results you kind of need to pick a skill to focus on. Like just stack only beta reload. Another thing is survival. Ive seen some people run crit perm. Ive tried it on one of my many builds but it wasn't for me. Kind of forgot about it.

i have a high sense. that helps. you can also try to aim down until you get uses to flicking your aim back. like when the beta hits i pull the stick directly back. pc its a lot easier with mouse so you need to compensate for that on controller. i recommend practicing in training on just doing the beta and turning it. slowly trying to get it tighter and tighter with each pass if you can. my sense is like 400 or something on controller

Villain is his best acceleration build as it lets you slot it on the right cutting the time from 40s to 20s.
Heat is his best damage as it has the most strike slots.

Forget everything you know kind of.
G4 A7 B7 one of the best level paths.
Rapid you want range more as Strike you need to be close to confirm your combos as even the slightest difference in range can impact your damage.

I got QFR on my rapid hawks. Testing it on a build. Kind of like it. I was doing double beta then canceling it and it would reload super fast then I'd just double beta again 😭

Not on Hawks. You can break a guard and trigger the tuning but because he doesn't reload until he hits the ground it doesn't do anything

and i cant use that alpha properly to save my life

i hate that it makes you stationary

but i do appreciate strikes hawks for existing

it's thanks to him that i can use rapid with tuning despite not having him

Using his alpha has a pretty big hit box so strafe back and forth to make it harder for you to hit

While using it in the air it makes you hold air time which is fantastic for movement
