You just get more value out of tuning alpha. Most times you’re using beta for the stun or to hit ppl through walls, not necessarily for the damage. For example doing the charged Alpha>Beta>charged Alpha combo is much better if you tune Alpha. Plus charged alpha is just a good ability in general

It matters on the character. I prefer revenge on overhaul since the speed boost is so nice. Makes running away easier and the speed on alpha feels divine. Plus since overhaul can just heal himself to replenish shields instantly to reproc RR. Anybody else I prefer wallrunner.

Alright, so first and foremost stick with your team. Especially when playing AFO you have to stick with your team. You’re easy pickings when on your own

Also buildings will be your best friends, and using them can be the difference between life and death. You’re a more indoor based character so stick with your guns if you can. However if you’re contested indoors (like Momo with cannons, Yellow Endeavor Beta, etc) then try pushing people away and either use your gargantuan beta to either try and take back control, or run.

No shame in running if it’s too much for you to handle

However if your team is with you then you shouldn’t have to run and all three of you can take back control together

Anyways, now quirks

Always take the first quirk you can get your hands on

Regardless of what it is, having a second quirk is so many times better than one

After that first one you can be more picky. And the most important rule of all with quirks. Never EVER trade utility for strength

If you have a Mirio quirk, don’t trade that for a Shigi quirk even if it’s only level 1

Because that quirk gives you invincibility

Which makes you a monster when used right

Well… Alright generally you don’t wanna do that

There are some cases where you do want a stronger quirk, but also take a second to think about the quirk you have and the one you’re about to steal

Which one will generally let you survive longer?

As for moves, alpha is pretty simple. Don’t charged shot to catch a wake-up is the biggest tip I can give. That’s Beta’s job

That's the thing tho, if you steal a good ability. There are a lot of hoops to jump through. You need to be able to get a down and plunder them. There is already a lot of things with that as well, like not being insta rezed, teammates peeling for them, etc. And then it has to be a good quirk. Like if you down a 4-1-1 tech toga, you're not gonna do anything with that realistically. And in a Ideal world, I do agree with the idea that you should be punished for dying. But when you have characters like rapid deku and red kiri who can rival afo with a good stolen quirk in power, but they have no penalty for dying, you see the issue.
Realistically speaking tho, this change would mainly help newer afo players, as personally, with a good quirk I rarely ever die.

like if monoma was at 67% gamma and someone shot him

He wouldn't be able to use it for a few second but he can turn it back on once it starts recharging
