In my opinion you should try to always be the last one dying, at least when you still have res's available. So ideally your teammates would play between you and the other team(s) to make you as safe as possible and you in turn get to make the enemy's life difficult with aimed alpha snipes from a safe distance. But she can also take close range 1v1s quite well thanks to her beta and gamma, though if she's outnumbered at short range it can be quite tough as while you use one ability on one person, the other can shoot you. That is unless you manage to catch all enemies in the same beta. But yes generally behind teammates and high ground are always gonna be good. But if a teammates is low and needs to heal somewhere behind you, you can often make it impossibly difficult for the enemy to chase after them with all the area denial you have in your moves. Also note that most of what I said is gonna be way weaker at lower levels. E.g. close range area denial becomes esp. good with high level beta.

Also side note if you wanna be aggressive at times you can choose to fight at the front lines but you should make sure that's safe and that you know your limits cause the last thing you wanna do is die. But sometimes getting in someone's face doin stuff like beta, catch wake up with beta, try to catch wake up with gamma if they're still alive is what's gonna give you the highest scores

So play around and see what yields you the best results

To give a short summary, high ground for snipes and safety since most characters can't contest a high ground Ibara, indoors especially with a high level beta due to it being amazing indoors and constantly stay close by or with your team to ensure reviving them though I will admit I screw up that last piece of advice sometimes cause I overextend chasing at times to the point where i'm away from the team or i'm just getting attacked by people

I actually did a very good play with high ground just now, i was on the roof and i saw like 3 people and spammed alphas and guard broke 2 and scared them away. i jumped down (mind you my gp and gp were both full), and a strike kiri and strike todo shows up, and the thing is that if ur away from ur team, ive experience that no matter how much you spam ping, ur team wont come to save you as an ibara. they just wont. But i didn't even have time to spam ping because literally (i am not exaggerating anything here) i died in not even 3 seconds. I wish i recorded the clip but im not joking, within 3 seconds, strike todo was spamming alphas that were prob lvl 9, strike kiri was stunning me with his alpha, then he did alpha beta alpha beta on me while strike todo was still spamming alphas and without being knocked once i was down. my teammates were in the same area but they were in their own fight or smth. i tried to come to them but i got jumped on my way. can this game put some sort of knock limit when it comes to attacks like this?

Yeah thats a mistake I do as well, keep your high ground at all costs and usually let your team (if coordinated) finish them off since you apply good pressure with good aim

Thing is id say i think my advice for ibara is like generally "not the way" meaning i do not play the way people usually play ibara or the ideal way since you wanna disappear and reappear as an ibara and not stay in one place for too long

There are multiple ways to play ibara and I in fact rarely ever play high ground

Playing high ground means letting them know you are there pressure them from a distance. Giving away your location. Thing about this game is that mobility characters especially can reach you np and your teammates will not back you up so me being a solo q player do not play this way because i will be expecting backup

Then there is the alternative way to play Ibara. Or as id like to call- Peek a Boo method.

Since shooting a single alpha tells the whole lobby that you are here and you will cause chaos if you aren't stopped but you throw them off by shooting an alpha from a different location or spot to keep them from keeping track of you

Then appear like you are batman to well you already how I do it, to suddenly gamma them when they least expect it. You want to always be on the move constantly and never in one place.

If they end up finding you and chasing after you, run to a different team that is already fighting or simply find another team not in battle and they will see you, but they will also see the ones chasing you so from there you hide and pray they instead fight each other or "third-party".

Hide in a bush for most effectiveness cuz they wont know where you are and the enemy will know where ur pursuers are.

Make sure you do not provoke the team thats meant to distract your pursuers and forget about you

Cuz thatll mean more aggro towards you. Just run by.

Then try to reunite with your team after all the focus and aggro is off of you.

With this method you can get away from the enemy without needing backup from your teammates essentially your enemies will be more of use than your own allies

Another tip I can bring to the table is that please turn your corners and do not run in a straight line please do not. You have no mobility it will not help you. Turn corners, hide, make sudden turns and you can even return to the spot you ran away from because they will not expect it. If need be go inside buildings and throw them off, play chess with corners of buildings. Everything around trickery vanishing act from the enemy.
