when tuning came out, I made a build with high speed and embrittlement and decided to stick with it despite not thinking it was good, turns out its the best tuning for momo that I could take

Embrittlement is definitely something I want to run with Momo, however if I am running Embrittlement I'll want Sisterly too at the same time.

I think with the compress matchup, its about the frames it takes to do everything. Beta beats his beta and can block his alpha to an extent. The gamma is the move that lets him stay in the fight.

Momo tends to struggle against characters like Tech Shoto, mainly because their alphas have a longer range and can easily overpower her. If you use the terrain wisely, you can still make things work in your favor.

Tech Shoto’s moves can counter Momo’s alpha and gamma—his beta ice pillar and gamma fire tornadoes can wipe out both of her attacks in a flash. There’s a key weakness in his toolkit: Momo’s beta. When Tech Shoto throws his attacks head-on at her, Momo’s beta can completely wall his entire setup. This is where the terrain and cannons come into play!

Once you manage to land a beta on him or get him to burn through his gamma, it’s time to capitalize! You can punish him with alphas, but be cautious—don’t get too close, or he’ll catch you with his ice ring from firing alphas and freeze (stun) you. Afterward, set up your cannons around his wake-up options to keep the pressure on and control the match! Keep these strategies in mind, and you’ll have a much better chance at turning the tide!

so i guess to summarize, the angle your approach takes and what frame you and he are on all play a part but dont expect to just hide behind your shield because that's a losing situation for you

It isn't a guaranteed hit, but because the enemies are slowed down you might be able to set your cannons down and catch their wake up more consistently after you knock them down.

Trance Blow adds a lot knockback to the combo, but it has a 13 to 10 second cool down once activated. Overall, it's hard to give an opinion on it since I haven't played much yet.

Just beware you can't end your melee with air melee you'll jump over your opponent or descend slowly giving them enough time to dodge roll/evade

And there's no PUR skin that Spiraling leap combined with Wall Runner just so you know (which is why I think tuning attached to skins is stupid)

Momo's alpha has one of the highest priority in the game. You can stop any attack so long as it doesn't have armor

How do you use her beta then?

Mine is either a combo ender or used to just drive into an enemy to use as a way to get out of a situation (that ends with many mixed results)

Unless there's a tech Todoroki, then I'm rushing in like an action movie soldier trying to rush down the problem for my squad

Otherwise I find it more reliable to hit the beta than it is to try and smack someone with the lvl1 gamma since they can normally predict it.

The cannon hit box actually acts as a wall/surface and can block all of the explosions on enemies standing at the center of the cannon

Or in many cases, if you put the cannon directly on a downed player, they'll be protected from the explosions (unless you jab/alpha them and their body flops out of the cannon during the explosion).

You can actually block AFO from plundering a downed player if you put a cannon over their body

I can rock with Ps4 & Xbox (I've played on xbox but, ALL my stuff is on switch 💀). It's just that pc players have a higher sensitivity than any other console which is why I beilive they should just remove pc entirely. Now I've seen some Ps4 players that do straight mixes but, I can't give Pc any credit at all. Pc should be like it's own thing and let us Switch, Xbox & Ps4 players just have fun. (Even though Xbox players are more toxic. I can get past that.)

As a solo player- Even tho the frame rate is horrible on switch I still have fun playing with an xbox friend of mines. We do lose but, man our fights be fun asf for some reason.
