I'm still new to embrit so not fully sure but imo they're both good at different things, sisterly is good for consistent defensive work while embrit is BIG REWARD if you manage to land it. personally enjoying embrit but think it comes down to what you want out of kiri

like I made a happi fancy build that boosts gamma damage by 25%, but the specials are like, rapid and strike, which are good but not my fav tunings

my personal fav tn is unbreakable default cause perception/embrit makes landing a melee SO REWARDING and esp makes it really easy to confirm kills

It entirely depends on playstyle but his beta is really strong and me personally I max that first
I then get my gamma maxed because its helpful for dealing with air characters and getting someone off me
Alpha is good for mobility but he has a strong close range combo with that being Alpha, Alpha, Gamma. It a safe and reliable combo for getting close

I play him very aggressive/defensive so i charge into fight a lot but but know when to back out when i need to

His beta shield is similar to Kendo but with a time limit instead of taking a certain about of damage

One thing to learn tho is his Alpha to beta movement, its rather easy once you get the timing but can be a bit tricky to get at first (even I still mess it up every now and then)

You can only really try and distance yourself, and dodge with the best of your abilities.

You gotta just try and give him the disadvantage, if you try and grab him with Ibara, try and wait until he atleast misses his Punches, then you have a slight opportunity

Another thing, is that his Punch speed depends on how far you are.

If your close to him, He'll punch you very fast, If your far away, he's gonna glide towards you, do an animation, and then punch.

What I do as Ibara, is Beta him, and then wake up Beta since he's probably gonna try and hit you again

HONESTLY tho I'm so used to assault kiri getting treated like the complete low tier that he is that I'm not used to telling people how to counter him
for me the biggest problems I encounter are multiple people at once, or people with the mobility/range to keep away from my attacks
that said a GOOD assault kiri will make you work to kill him

I will make an entire team chase me halfway across the map to finally KO me

yeah no assault kiri thrives in 1v1s, unfortunately if you get caught alone with one it's 90% up to your character and assault kiri's skill to determine the outcome

like genuinely I only really lose to horrible matchups where I'm getting sniped and can't close the distance to start returning the damage, or when a 1v1 suddenly turns into a 1v3

(well in actual 1v1s it varies a lot more but like, in real game settings)

the reloads are all chunky and slow so they do not come back very fast
