This is my OLD build but, with Fixer (Monoma) + AFO, Ibara, and overhaul I get a lot more HP if he was on the right side but, Since my monoma is on the left side I get more dmg.
I like to think "Ok, I can either get more Hp or more Dmg.
Is hp attack power better than beta attack power +
hp is better, like given 2 red slots u always want gp+ and hp+, given 3 slots gp+ hp+ hp+ (one single red slot is debatable but i think nobody ever picks those outfits), after that you start adding alphas gammas etc. Unless your going for smth specific like deku only needs his alpha, plus he cant use his own tuning (gp+). This build above to be more optimized needs to switch alpha+ and beta+ to gp+ hp+. Why? The idea of skill X atk+ is that it doesnt matter if its hp or gp, having those switched to hp+ and gp+ will result in literally the same for alpha and beta but you also buff melee and gamma. Skill X ATK worth 2 slots, hp gp worth 3 slots (considering melee - 4 slots)
hp alpha = hp hp for alpha towards hp. In terms of the build above
Right now:
gp: 1x Alpha, 1x Beta, 2x Gamma
hp: 1x Alpha, 1x Beta, 2x Gamma
After:
gp: 1x Alpha, 1x Beta, 3x Gamma ( + melee)
hp: 1x Alpha, 1x Beta, 3x Gamma (also + melee)
theres also room for new endeavor tuning

I want a complete re work on Assault Ochaco because she's not an Assault
Firstly, she feels more like a Support because her damage is pressure enough to want to stay back, and her Gamma practically grants area control like a support.
So she is now Support Ochaco.
And with that, change her HP value to 300 or 325.
Decrease the reload speed of Beta at all levels drastically.
Decrease the damage of lunge attack of Alpha
Opponents caught in Gamma can now evade out of it if they have GP.
Gamma platform no longer does damage to opponents when generated. Only does damage when destroyed/falling.
Decrease the reload speed of Special Action. Special Action reloads faster if zero gravity is given to a teammate (to better encourage the new support playstyle).
There. Ochaco's QSS is not an Assault. She is Support Ochaco.
none of these sound very good except for the hp and beta changes
because this just encourages alpha spam, which is super boring
her held gamma also should not do damage when falling, it doing damage when being activated is fine
Damage during activation is what causes the dumb 400 damage combo.

Beta > gamma > beta > gamma > alpha spam (usually 2 alphas, 3 if ur lucky). this is a guaranteed gaurdbreak at lvl 1 and if ur at lvl 9's it does gaurdbreak AND more than half HP (varies if they are assault or smth). I will show a clip of me doing it

alright im gonna post my ideas here for an asschaco rework
assault ochaco ability rework:
alpha bullet speed is faster by 10%, but damage is reduced by 10 at all levels, the swung alpha is unaffected. . held alpha has improved tracking and consumes only 2 charges. her alpha in both forms is super easy to avoid, it really only can consistently hit on unaware targets or people in the sky. speeding up her alpha will give her a better chance to hit people actively fighting her. damage has been reduced since the move will be easier to land.
beta now has two charges (no longer percentage based) but each charge has 15% less duration (30% less distance traveled than before). penalty cooldown time is increased by 4 seconds. beta does 15 less damage per hit but has 25 less knockdown value. reduced end lag so that beta can be comboed into other moves. the idea of this change is to turn beta into a more offensive combo based move rather than a constant runaway tool. it keeps assault ochaco more brawly which aligns with her assault role more.
held gamma has a larger hitbox at levels 1-3. held gamma no longer damages enemies when it falls/breaks. tap gamma cant combo into held gamma unless you are in a low ceiling area, this will fix that issue. also the platform doing damage as it breaks/falls is silly so removing that damage is fair.
her hp will remain the same, the changes to her beta will make her less mobile so she will need to spend more time on the ground meaning she will take more damage.
special action will go back to the 20 second cooldown rather than the 15 that it is now.
oh almost forgot to mention too, her held gamma will get increased knockdown power from 50 to 150. this should help prevent her tods but still allow high damage combos.

350hp tod goes like:
beta (spin, 2 hits) > beta throw > gamma (here they can mash an attack or try to time their roll if they react) > alpha (x3) > gamma drop
against 400HPs you can do alpha (x2) after the first gamma, do the gamma drop and land one final alpha for a little more damage
doesn’t matter for characters any lower because they just die from full shields

i have a couple level up paths i do. my two favorites are
a4 g4 a7 g7 b7
a4 g4 b4 a7 g7 b7
maxxing them beyond 7 doesnt matter really since its just damaged that gets changed
its important to get gamma to 4 no matter what tho, you cant combo tap gamma into held gamma at level 1-3 because the hitbox is too small, but 4 and beyond will combo
ive been enjoying the second level up path more recently. betas duration and hitbox is so small at level 1-3, really feels great having it leveled during mid game.

your bread and butter will be tap gamma into held alpha. when you have these at level 7 they will guard break/nearly guard break.
if youre too far from your tap gamma stun you can do beta into tap alpha or held alpha.
if youre right on top of someone and stun them with tap gamma you can do held gamma afterwards and do held alpha or tap alpha. this one does a ton of damage, you can even get the tap gamma to hit as it falls if you line it up right.
beta into tap alpha at any time is a pretty good combo. you can do held alpha but i find that one to be inconsistent unless theyre in the air.
one noteworthy thing, if your opponent has no gp, you can hit them twice with alpha. really fun to juggle them in the air with it.
her gamma is very easy to react to, i find its best to third party or drop out of the sky onto unaware opponents to get it to land more easily.
alpha is as well, alpha spamming is really weak unless your opponent is in the air despite what a lot of people say.

Dude, just playing the zero skill character is automatically a "decent" game.
There's no need to "lock in"
Jusy press stuff and it works. Even if the inputs are coordinated, it's still very little effort to be good with "Assault" Ochaco.
not in these lobbies. assault ochaco has a much harder time against more high skilled opponents because of how delayed her attacks are, and how long her punish windows are
good players react very easily to her moves. you have to be constantly be catching people off guard. which isnt easy to do unless youre doing a lot of third parties.

and her damage is justified because of how easy it is to react to it. currently her only move that can be hard to avoid is held gamma. but you should know not to be standing on top of an assault ochaco if you see one in your lobby.
beta sometimes too, but she gets stunned out of beta by a large amount of moves.
people are just afraid to play aggressively into her if they think she isnt punishable.

well, froppy just isnt very good unfortunately. thats less of assault ochaco being good and more of froppy being way too predictable
a majority of the cast wont have issues with froppy.
It is impossible to get close to anyone in this meta.
And I will keep saying it that Froppy is the most balanced Rapid in this game.
But she needs buff if it means she can keep honing her playstayle effectively.

two level up paths i have are alpha 4 gamma 4 beta 4 alpha 7 gamma 7 beta 7 and then level 9 for whatever you want.
or alpha 4, gamma 7, beta 7, alpha 7, level 9 for whatever you want.
assault ochaco gets her max size for all of her moves at level 7, so you dont have to worry about maxxing out a move right away and can stop at 7 to focus on other abilities.
also rapid cards are great if you dont have a wall runner build. otherwise i typically use reload cards so my beta comes back instantly when i use it lmao.

my favorite thing on assault ocha is to bait people into small rooms and proceed to wake up catch them no matter what they do

but its really inconsistent

What are some asschaco combos?
basic ones are tap gamma into held alpha (tap alpha also works, and you can do a second tap alpha if they guard break), beta into held alpha, tap gamma into beta into held or tap alpha.

i found you dont even need to actually hit the second gamma
the damage it does when falling is enough in the combo to kill targets with 300 hp
beacause youre hitting gamma, full beta, two falling gammas, and a held alpha
that hurts a lot!
they do have time to tech out if youre not quick enough so just keep that in mind
If it hits,
sometimes you have to do your combos just right or the Gamma lines won’t be able to hit them
also use speed cards on her, makes the attack way easier to land
gets easier with more playtime
ive already perfected that with her held gamma tods
so its lightwork on these
For now, I’ll probably stick to gamma line + alpha maybe I’ll throw in a beta sometimes but just learning the fundamentals. I need to get down first.

I think it was said earlier, but I use sa to have the beta fly farther and stuff
So i always use it right before I plan to use beta

the reason why you use it in some combos is because you need to do a special action jump so the beta actually hits your target when they get floated
because sometimes it will miss if you dont, just helps the combo stay consistent
other than what i just said here, i use it paired with wall runner to do smooth movement
they go great together
i dont find much usage for it otherwise on assault ochacos kit so i usually give it to my teammates so they can do some funny stuff

If you have high HP, I'm assuming three things

Your playstyle of close combat heavy, and you need the survivability in case you're trying to close quarters with an opponent
Never once will I assume that you have high HP because you have HIGH MOBILITY and stay in the air for so long.
If you can do so much damage without even needing to get close to an opponent, then you should not be having so much HP.

the only real problematic things in my experience is her beta cd and the low knockdown value on her gammas.

Getting caught in her gamma (both versions) is literal pain.
That's just guaranteed guardbreak for her for so little effort.

"Skill issue" yet the activation of the move has a lingering hitbox, so even if you dodge it, half the time, you'll still be caught.
i hate the excuse "just dodge it" but all of assault ochacos moves are so delayed, theres not really an excuse to not be able to properly dodge the attacks.
its only an issue on rapid's because of how inconsistent the gamma is.
You can't spam your iframes out of an Ochaco combo.
You only go up, and get no iframes even if she takes too long to finish the combo.

the only thing assault does better is damage per move, but rapid does wayyyyy better damage per second because of the low knockdown and fast attack speed
