to go a little deeper on this, car throw didn't need the damage doubled, alpha has always been highly damaging considering how she can use it (85 at level 9), and the reward off gamma if she hits it is polarizing

not to mention if she stuns you in the air w/ car

in that case if she doesn't miss you're pretty much stunlocked in the air for a guaranteed guard break

i personally don't have an issue with gamma itself other than the hitbox being janky sometimes (clip below) although if she lands it it's the single best stun move in the game

other than yellow shiggy shenanigans

i think the float duration should be shortened a bit as well because there really shouldn't be so many win condition moves in this game

this game's damage output is also very wacky and a lot of characters definitely need to be toned down in that department

really forces you to play safe instead of just apeing around all crazy without a care in the world just because you can escape with ease

no, that defeats the entire purpose of her character, her damage is honestly fine where it’s at considering all things. you can’t just rely on landing gammas and spinning cars to actually win a game with ochaco, you’ve got to learn combos, her characters takes a lot of skill, and it very rewarding for those who master it.

her damage doesn’t need a nerf, nor does her gamma float time, because doing so destroys her character, i mean she would be hurt more the mirio by this, than when mirio got nerfed into the floor. this wouldn’t be a nerf, this would be her funeral.

ochaco NEEDS combos to actually deal damage, because 130 from just spinning isn’t enough, and that’s assuming you land all the hits, all of her moves can be easily dodge rolled, not to mention the fact that landing cars is insanely hard, the gamma is easier to land, sure, that’s true, but people still manage to dodge roll it with ease, in ace rank at least they do.

in other words, nothing about her needs changing other than HP, it needs to be 250.
and if something else really must be done, i’d say gamma cooldown could use a nerf too.
maybe increase it by an extra 2 seconds.

all things considered her alpha damage is on par with other characters who have a similar alpha, and honestly you shouldn’t be using it for damage unless you’re doing a combo. the alpha damage is just fine.

the beta damage is also just fine, landing a car throw isn’t easy, and should be rewarding for accomplishing it, it dealing 85 at MAX LEVEL is extremely underwhelming.

the tracking is a literal downside if you’re playing ochaco, it’s slow, and doesn’t keep up with fast movements, so trying to land a car when aim assist is literally dragging your aim BACKWARDS from the opponent, yes it’s extremely hard

and you can’t use console as an excuse, i’m a current and previous ace player, so i don’t think platform is on the table to debate, i know what im talking about

side note: i play pc too

i simply chose xbox because it’s my main platform
