@hardy escarp Thanks for posting! Please remember, support here is volunteer-based and not official. Be patient after posting, and don’t spam or ask in other channels.
If your issue is about accounts, billing, contact Xbox Support directly.
If your issue is related to an Enforcement action, no one here can help.
To help us help you, make sure to answer:
- What did you try to do and what happened? (Be specific—mention your Xbox model, PC version, Insider ring, or anything relevant.)
- **What have you tried to do to fix it already? **(List everything you’ve done to fix it.)
- Have you searched the error code or for similar problems? (Tell us what you found.)
If you don’t answer these, you might not get a response.
I’ve plugged in the HDMI and the power thing
Ah the Original Xbox One
that should just be a touch, not hard press
it looks like there's a sticker on there of some sort
if it's not working, you can try plugging a controller into the console via USB and pushing the big xbox button until it powers on
First check your power. https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/hardware-network/console/reset-power-supply-solution
Also I've had this same issue before with the OG Xbox power supply
Yeah that xbox power button isn’t a button like Sam said. It’s a capacitive sensor like an iPhone screen.
I understand that you’re toucing it and nothing is happening, but it has nothing to do with the plastic on the front of your console. The sensor could be messed up, or there may be a power issue with your power supply(the big black box connected to your power cord)
Your a life saver!

Got you up and running good now?
