#i cant sync the controller for xbox 360

I am a playstation player but i have found a xbox 360 s in my basement. The console itself works fine but the controllers don't sync. It used to sync like 2 weeks ago but now doesn't anymore. What do I do?

I have swabbed pretty much everything that is metal in the battery pack, still doesn't work.

I replaced the batteries like 6 times
