Hello, I need help with a Microsoft account recovery case that has already been successfully verified, but I still cannot access the account.

My account (********@outlook.com) was compromised, and all security details were changed by the attacker. I went through multiple recovery attempts and escalations, including working with support and a supervisor.

I then completed a full security verification request under Service Request SIR*********, where I provided extensive proof of ownership (billing details, previous passwords, Xbox information, device ID, etc.), and Microsoft confirmed that I am the rightful owner.

However, the resolution provided did not work. I was informed that a password reset link was sent to the account, but I cannot access that email because it is still compromised. When I try to proceed, I am asked to log in, which I am unable to do.

I also replied directly to the Microsoft Online Safety agent (*******) who handled my case 2 days ago but have not received a response.

I have already been told to submit another SIR form, but this is not a recovery issue anymore — ownership has already been verified. This is now a post-verification access issue.

@small sedge Thanks for posting! Please remember, support here is volunteer-based and not official. Be patient after posting, and don’t spam or ask in other channels.
If your issue is about accounts, billing, contact Xbox Support directly.
If your issue is related to an Enforcement action, no one here can help.

To help us help you, make sure to answer:

  • What did you try to do and what happened? (Be specific—mention your Xbox model, PC version, Insider ring, or anything relevant.)
  • **What have you tried to do to fix it already? **(List everything you’ve done to fix it.)
  • Have you searched the error code or for similar problems? (Tell us what you found.)

If you don’t answer these, you might not get a response.

We cannot help with account issues here. You will have to continue to work with support.
