When i power up my Xbox my tv says hdmi signal recieved and it turns on fine but there is a completely black screen. I have an Xbpx series x and i can hear it startup through headphones and my tv works well with pther stuff such as netflix. Ive unplugged and plugged in hdmi on both xbox and tv and switched the hdmi in on my tv. I tried to reset the display settings on my xbox by holding in the disc and power button but my xbox immediatley turns off again after the second chime.

Edit: I tried my xbox on a different tv and it worked then and i can hear my xbox through the original tv so its connected via hdmi so idk what the problem is with my tv.

Factery reset keeping your games and apps

#

Turn the console off press and hold the eject and bind button and press power button keep holding the bind and eject button till it resets the display then choose the factory reset option

You fillow what i said above

#

That will force the console to boot into recovery mode you can then choose the reset this console option in recovery and select keep my games and apps. That should get your OS back in a good state

Or you can download the reset file onto a USB from the xbox support site using a pc but the option above is quicker and lets u keep everything installed
