Hey, a few years ago I sold my Xbox Series S and before selling it I made sure to uncheck “home Xbox” and format the console. Then I bought a used Series X and I asked the previous owner to format the console and remove their accounts. After buying the console I logged in with my account and set it as my “home Xbox” to use it offline but when I launch GamePass titles it doesn’t work and I get this image….
Even though I’ve set the console as my “home Xbox” strangely enough games that I own work perfectly.

for gamepass or any games to work offline certain needs need to be meet.

Your console your using needs to be set has home xbox when connected to xbox network ( online)

you need to launch the game when connected to xbox network (online) at lest once this downloads the right to play offline.

you need to reconnect to the internet at lest once every 30 days this shows your Membership is still active and rechecks the right to play

Some games will not work offline if they need a always online connection
