#Xbox 360 half turning on

My Xbox 360 turns on but it won’t display video. It’s not a problem with the HDMI cable. I’m not sure how to describe the issue other than the console only half way powers on

I read online that holding the power button for 10+ seconds resets the console and this did work the first couple times. My Xbox fully powered on and my controller was able to connect to the console. This stopped working. When I press the power button on the controller it will power on the Xbox but then the same problem. The controller won’t connect to the console even though it can power it on and it doesn’t seem to have enough power to actually display video to my screen. I’m hoping someone can help diagnose the problem so I can find a way to fix it

Any red ring?

No red ring. I believe it might be somewhere to do with the hardware. I tried the red yellow white cord. Don’t remember what it’s called. And I’m having the same problem

Audio video cable. Have you checked the connections on the HDMI cable and all the ports? Does your cable wiggle at all when it's in the port on either the tv or xbox

Do you have a different display you can use like another TV or monitor

Yes. I’ve tried a pc monitor and a tv

Oh man that's a pickle

#

Ok the only thing you can do is repair but it will require a cottoring iron and a brand new HDMI port.

#

Considering the fact it's an Xbox 360 can be hard to find

I have used the console to mod cod zombies for out of map exploration and the original power brick was faulty so I had to buy an off brand one. Could any of these possibly be causing the issue.
