(Previous post was deleted due to accidental early posting)

I recently purchased an Xbox series X fully new in box and was wanting to add a background, after booting up and finding a good image to screenshot on one of my games I tried to save it as a wallpaper but it kept failing.

After multiple failed attempts, and some googling, I found the issue was the system was refusing the image due to the build it auto HDR it would do for both games and screencaps and was told to turn off HDR10.

After successfully uploading the image as a background, I toggled HDR10 back on only to find that the HDR tag that pops up on the screen with every game was now gone and even with Auto HDR enabled and calibrated the games wouldn't go to HDR or "Game mode" settings.

I'm wondering if theres any way for this to be fixed without reverting back to default background, for additional info I play on a TLC Roku Tv.

I've tried the xbox, but not the tv. I've did more googling and its saying something about the digital handshake between the console and tv getting messed up
