Hey everyone, so I have an Xbox series X and I was just playing madden 26 until I noticed that the brightness was too high or just abnormal. I then looked at my tv & display options and realized that it was randomly set to 60 Hz, so I put it back at 120Hz and then realized that I was stuck at 1080p and I was originally at 1440p but now there’s no option for that. I also play on a Roku tv and like I said it my Xbox was at 1440p with 120 Hz and now I cannot go back to 1440p. Could someone please help me?
#1440p isn’t working on my series X

I doubt your tv supports 1440p 120hz with it been a roku i not aware of any tvs that support 1440 120 thats more moniters. It maybe a 120hz panel but its likley 1080p 120hz Anyhow what model tv do you have?
@balmy karma hey man, I’m sorry I’m late, but the model is Roku tv No 65R635 and I might be just tripping but when I saw that my Hz was Randomly put back to 60 i swear I had the 1440p option which isn’t there rn.
Did u try turning off HDR?
@red forge in my tv and display options it is grayed out.
Yeah, but the only options that I can check and uncheck is allow 4k, allow 24hz, allow YCC 4:2:2 and allow Dolby vision
the TV is a 120hz Native display with 4k upscaling with VRR however it will be limited because it only has a HDMI 2.0 port. My advise would be to set it too 4k 60, or 1080p 120
@balmy karma so does that mean I can’t get 1440p on my tv?
I not sure about 1440p looking online it may be possible, but i would set it to 1080 and it should give you the option for 120.
Make sure you turn on VRR has well has you get screen tearing
I have that unchecked and the only thing I have checked is allow 4k
that's why has i said it will not support 4k 120 you need to set the settings correctly has the TV is limited by HDMI 2.1 you only get 120 with 1080p and possibly 1440p
