I told my friend about a game I got and he was interested so I came to his house and signed my Xbox account in on his pc. We went to go download the game I own (I bought it about 3 weeks ago) and it said we needed to buy it. I'm just confused as to why I can't download a game I own and if there's a way to fix it?

Did u buy it on xbox? Which game is it?
Make sure its a play anywhere game. Or buy the pc version otherwise u cant if u brought the xbox console version of the game u cant play it on the pc.

@mental vortex I bought it on the Xbox app on my phone, it's persona 5 royal, and it's a play anywhere game, I played it on my pc and my Xbox but when I logged into my account on his pc it said I didn't own it and that I had to buy it

dunno. maybe the credentials on his pc is set to him. and mix matching with ur acct. i never download games on pcs/laptops that i dont own cause of situations like this.

Well it asked if he wanted to set my account as the store something and so we did that but I would never switch and we did it like 5 times
