#Will switching Microsoft Store accounts for my xbox profile let me buy something for my game?

If I were to switch my microsoft store account to an account with money on it and buy something, will that purchase be reflected onto my xbox account that didn't change?

For example, I buy an in-game currency with my alternative microsoft account while my xbox profile is my default. Will the purchase be made to that account since each purchase applies directly and there are no redemption codes?
(This problem began with the new rule that bing reward redemption of xbox gift cards go automatically to the microsoft balance)

Whatever account you make the purchase on is the account that will get the item.

Having the game or not doesn't matter. The currency would sit available on that account until you bought/played the game on it, then you could use it
